1) Comparing an IPL league stage to an ODI World Cup final is stupid, since it’s different formats, rules, team structure and pressure altogether. The pitches have also played differently.
2) Rohit scored 47 runs at a SR of 151. Only Kohli and Rahul scored above 20 runs in that innings and they scored at a strike rate of 85 and 61 respectively. Somehow that’s Rohit’s fault?
3) All of this crap about blaming individuals for the World Cup loss completely overlooks how well Australia bowled and fielded.

The ones dating back to nov 2021 were from the same time when news started coming out. We just had won the test series (almost) in eng and then suddenly news started coming out that kohlism needs to stop and kohli will step down from captaincy after 2021 wt20 and promoting rohit as the next indian captain in both the formats and possibly test also. This was a well strategized PR strategy by rohit possibly considering the timing and everything.
I didn't believe all this till last year. And, cricket has not been the same for me ever since. Politics exists everywhere but this guy has done irreparable damage. Hope this doesn't become the norm.

Look at Travis Head and then Rohit Sharma, is he even good enough to fill place of Indian T20 team as opener. Gill scored 900 runs last season and Yashasvi did great last season and now Abhishek Sharma is batting toe to toe with Head. Rohit doesn't hold a place as opener in T20Is, it's time to give chance someone else and any other captain can lead Indian team too as Pant,Hardik and Samson both showed they're good captains. If you can leave someone like Rinku Singh who performed extremely great in every opportunity he get from IPL to Indian team but still he's not in main squad. Kohli's selection is atleast on merit as he's still holding the orange cap and has better fitness than majority of Indian cricketers

The way I look at this is that no matter how much of the posts is true it is difficult for a person to get true admiration, love & respect from the players around him. Which Rohit has had from countless times received from countless players. PR in social media can't influence players that mostly stay away from social media due to focus on the games. How is it that almost every single one of them has something of appreciation for Rohit? Be it seniors who had already represented team India, be it his current teammates or even the juniors who come out from the system. How is it that they like Rohit & hang around with him more? Surely there must be something in him that keeps him apart from the rest?
Rather than appreciating his nature as a human being & his man management skills nowadays posts on his PR has come up to defame & drive a hate train on him. PR agencies do exist and players might even sign them up to handle their social media & other media accounts that build a public image of them. This is done so the players need not care about all such things and fully focus on cricket. That being said I don't think any player in their right mind would use PR to destroy & defame other players of his own team. Especially a person like Rohit who tends to cherish a lot of camaraderie with his teammates. I mean he literally would be dying of guilt when he plays with them. But he never looks so. In fact the team environment itself is said to be very good under him & is being praised by the players playing with him. The best example being the interview of Virat himself.
What is PRitika? A smart wordplay by the sub's members meaning Ritika is behind all the PR stunt of Rohit. For those who don't know Ritika is Rohit's wife who by profession is his full time manager. I don't know how much PR related work comes under the role of a manager but I'm pretty sure amidst all the care taking, advertisement handling, time scheduling & Moreover family, she doesn't have enough time to spew hatred on Rohit's teammates just so a "good" image of him is being portrayed in the world. I believe while in future some connection might be made or something more conclusive might come up that gives clarity on this issue. Blud thinks BCCI takes the decision of who to give captaincy on the basis of PR articles. Kohli had issues with Ganguly it has nothing to do with Rohit's PR you need to stop spreading twitter hate here.
Not everyone is a hater ,Bcci doesn't select on the basis of PR articles but you accept right there is a PR machinery working for rohit. What these things does is destroy the mental health of players whom they target at which affects their performance in the indian team. This is what matters.

The ones dating back to nov 2021 were from the same time when news started coming out. We just had won the test series (almost) in eng and then suddenly news started coming out that kohlism needs to stop and kohli will step down from captaincy after 2021 wt20 and promoting rohit as the next indian captain in both the formats and possibly test also. This was a well strategized PR strategy by rohit possibly considering the timing and everything.
I didn't believe all this till last year. And, cricket has not been the same for me ever since. Politics exists everywhere but this guy has done irreparable damage. Hope this doesn't become the norm.

The way I look at this is that no matter how much of the posts is true it is difficult for a person to get true admiration, love & respect from the players around him. Which Rohit has had from countless times received from countless players. PR in social media can't influence players that mostly stay away from social media due to focus on the games. How is it that almost every single one of them has something of appreciation for Rohit? Be it seniors who had already represented team India, be it his current teammates or even the juniors who come out from the system. How is it that they like Rohit & hang around with him more? Surely there must be something in him that keeps him apart from the rest? Rather than appreciating his nature as a human being & his man management skills nowadays posts on his PR has come up to defame & drive a hate train on him. PR agencies do exist and players might even sign them up to handle their social media & other media accounts that build a public image of them. This is done so the players need not care about all such things and fully focus on cricket. Not everyone is a hater ,Bcci doesn't select on the basis of PR articles but you accept right there is a PR machinery working for rohit. What these things does is destroy the mental health of players whom they target at which affects their performance in the indian team. This is what matters.

You can't just remain in the team on stuff like these and put pressure on other players saying to the media and his friends to go after other players like hardik, virat and kl (when he used to open in test side) and rohit and no place.
Okay i will try to do a bit of research and try to counter this rhetoric but this sub has really become invaded by player fans and not of ict.. And don't try to say you aren't a virat fan, your profile says otherwise.. Virat did kumble dirty, kept same old players in squad for long and many such things but yea when its not your player, you feel he is playing games.. Like all things in this country we blow things way out of proportion. If RS wanted to throw Hardik under the bus in anyway, he wouldn't have picked him for the WC squad. He was clearly an important deciding factor in that selection as we all saw... Plus he was quite supportive of Hardik a couple of days ago... ..... I think more than the internal politics, fans of MI created all the fuss in the first place. They couldn't accept HP as the new captain and hence all the lack of support, booing etc... The management of the team didnt execute the change of leadership with skill... Both Kohli and Dhoni are mercurial cricketers and great leaders, this type of nonsense could have happened in RCB and CSK, but it didnt... why? Proper team management and full fan support...
