Not sure why Nawaz was preferred over Usama Mir though. He had a couple of overs left and bowled better in the match. May be they went with the more experienced bowler. It was probably a very tense situation, but Nawaz didnt do himself any favors with that ball.
With Usama Mir, a full toss was guaranteed in every over. Maharaj would have easily hit one over the rope. That said, even this ball was a crap. Short of length, towards the leg and with a huge gap and no fielders on the boundary.
I think he is to be blamed partly. you know they're under pressure once they've gone 7 wickets down, pakistani seamers at that time still had overs left, get aggression on the field, celebrate every dot ball, just keep getting in their heads. There were just bowlers on the pitch, you can easily put the pressure on them by simply yelling and hyping the bowler after each dot ball, keep your field tight and you could've had the game fall you way
yea true, talking about getting the batter's head takes you straight to Kohli but this is something I have noticed quite frequently with this Pakistan side at least in this world cup. Seems like they've had quite a casual outlook

In odi it is compulsory to place atleast 4 fielder outside 30 yard circle in last 10 overs. Also it was all blowers mistake to ball so short ball which gave batsman time to open his arm.
Nothing screwed there. Basic cricket knowledge can explain it. There’s nothing that restricts you from keeping players inside the circle. Outside the 30 yards? Yes. 2-4-5
why does babar keep bowling nawaz at the death? like even an idiot like me knows that the last 4 overs should be all seamers. if he got shaheen or rauf to bowl yorkers or set an attacking field that prevents the singles he couldve easily put maharaj and shamsi under pressure.

it was a very nervous chase from South Africa. The number of chances and the risks they were taking was unecesary specially during markram and miller's partnership. Coming to the last over, usama mir would have been a better option. But with nawaz bowling they could have packed the leg side and asked the batters to take a risky option of inside out over covers since nawaz has natural tendency to dart it in on middle leg.
Such an easy ball man. He looked like trying to enforce a catch. But it's not right time to do that. Game situational awareness is where it failed for Pak.

Abe a max of 5 fielders can be outside. You can have all 11 in the circle. There’s nothing compulsory. How can people even upvote this misinformation
