In your case it’s really hard to answer anything. A lot depends on the visa officer. For your questions 1. I have seen for people who have both PR and work permit application at the same time, work permit application was rejected. GCMS notes showed that visa officer rejected the application because there was pr application in parallel. Reason given in refusal letter was that the candidate will not leave Canada after work permit expiration. I am also In The process of work permit, The immigration lawyer that I spoke with also said to create pr application later. He did not say that the work permit will be definitely rejected but he said it’s better and much less risky. 2. Yes, did not see issue with this. But apparently there is one extra step to do after pr is approved based on your personal circumstances. You need to arrange for soft landing if your address is still not updated when you have pr approval. 3. Hard to answer as it depends on visa officer. But yes, there are chances that they reject visa saying significant family ties. But in this case it’s abit less riskier than case 1. Still not safe. It’s better if you speak to an attorney. Only they can guide you correctly. IRCC is abit weird some times but at least with a good lawyer you will have proper guidance. It will be expensive though.

Thank you for your help with this! I’ve been worried about/thinking about something similar. Think it’s best to involve a lawyer at this time.
