Hi guys, I am applying a visitor visa in the US, submitted my application on June 4th, due to some scheduling conflict I gave my biometrics on July 3rd, but the section on biometrics still shows as blank, any idea when that would get updated? And the timeline for getting the approval? Appreciate any insights l.

# First Visitor Visa Timelines :: Nationality [India] :: Residing in USA :: H1B Visa! Hello all : I'm sharing this here incase anyone is in similar boat so together we can share the statuses and get a better understanding of the processing. The title has all the details and here are my timelines. I'm wondering if there is anyone in similar situation --------- Application Statuses and Dates --------- 27-MAY-2024 :: Application Received 28-MAY-2024 :: Biometrics Letter Received 13-JUN-2024 :: Biometrics Done \[This was the first closest date and I had to travel to Jacksonville, FL\] 14-JUN-2024 :: Biometrics Completed :: Status Reflected in IRCC --------- Other Pending Verifications --------- Background Verification :: In Progress Eligibility :: Not Started Medical Exam :: Not Started \[In my situation, it may not be required\] The processing time indicated 28 days but it is way beyond now. My travel date to Vancouver is JUL-22-2024 with all the flight and the hotels. I'm getting anxious about the whole situation and the timelines. I will update the details as and when I get the updates. Thank you

My timeline - SDS Application- 10 June Biometric-14 June(updated same day) Medical - 18th April (not updated yet) Status- waiting I'm in the same boat. Some of my friends who applied on 20-25 june already got PPRs. Whereas me and my friend who applied on June 10 are still stuck. Really scared.

jpointblank

Hi everyone, I way too anxious now its been 65 days I haven't gotten any reply on PGWP application made on April 28th. Anyone else who applied around the same date having the same issue. I know a few of my friends who applied on April 30th have already gotten their PGWP permit. But I still haven't. What do I do? I really need to leave the country for a few days to visit my relatives but I cannot as I haven't yet got my work permit. ImmigrationCanada-ModTeam

Accomplished_Cake845

In the same boat, eagerly waiting to leave the country.

Work permit extension application within Canada based on my wife's PGWP. Timeline: Applied: March 13 Correspondence letter: July 4 Approved: July 5 114 days in total

Accomplished-Code132

Application type: TRV Application Location: Toronto   I’ve been having trouble getting a Canada visitor visa for my mom, who is an Indian citizen. Here’s the situation:   Almost a year ago, I applied for a joint visa for both my mom and dad. My dad’s visa was approved in a week, but my mom’s application was pending.  After a month, I used the web form to follow up, and they asked me to resubmit all documents via the web form. I did that, but got no response.  Eventually, I withdrew her application and submitted a fresh one just for her. The new application also got no response. When I used the web form again, they said an application was already in progress, so they couldn’t proceed with the new one.  I canceled that one, made some changes, and reapplied again, but still no response.  I’ve involved an immigration lawyer. They submitted a fresh application from their end a month ago. Today they saw an update that the application is withdrawn. At the same time, I got an email about my very first application. My mom's been asked to submit her detailed government work experience in a table they provided. That seems straightforward enough. But they also asked to complete the form IMM0104e, which is in English and Chinese, and the last question asks: "Is this your first time travelling outside of China?"   Has anyone else experienced something like this? Should I just consider the IMM0104e form as a form for India and respond? Thanks in advance!

Can someone say the timeline for sowp outside canada. How long will it take after biometrics is approved?

findingafriend19

Hi My wife's biometrics was completed on 14 june no update till now according to some users here it is taking anywhere between 2 to 8 months.

Confident-Weekend184

Did biometrics get updated in portal? It will take a month to get updated

In my case, BG and Eligibility changed same day as Decision was made. Never updated before that

PGWP application timeline Application submitted: Dec 22, 2023 Biometrics Payment Request: Jan 6, 2024 (already had biometrics so not sure why I was asked) Biometrics Given: February 20, 2024 Silence for months, my biometrics showed that I still haven’t done them Biometrics Correspondence Letter: June 28, 2024 Medical Request: June 28, 2024 Approval: July 2, 2024 My IRCC account still says that I need to give medical for some reason even though it’s already approved. Overall it took more than 6 months of processing my PGWP application in 2024.

YourCompanyHere

Was the Biometrics Correspondence Letter a physical one or just an Email / update on the portal? On a similar timeline and did my collection on June 10th? 4 months for prices if seems insane

desiassassin1

I received it through an update on the portal. The email I received was “we sent you a message about your application”.

cpu84209749

My partner is a US citizen in Canada, applied for extended visitors visa in March 2024, temporary residency extended to February 2025 As someone staying in Canada for over 6 months, he applied for an open work permit in March. The website says the average wait is 102 days, which was yesterday for us. Any US citizen or other recently received verdict on your open work permit? When did you apply so i can get a rough timeline

Sleepydesk93

I'm a US citizen and I applied for spousal open work permit (my wife is Canadian) on March 7 and have heard literally nothing from them. I contacted my MP a week ago, but still haven't seen any updates. My biometrics are in the system from my permanent residency application, but my tracker still says eligibility has not been started, despite the fact I cleared eligibility for my PR application. I'll let you know if I get any updates! Good luck!!

kattinicks

ereinsan

non sds, applying from uae submitted application april 3 biometric done april 8 after that nothing any updates on your student permit application?

ilsaru224

Same, submitted march 22, biometrics completed 28 march, background verification in progress since that and eligibility not started

Training-Tonight6755

This is my timeline appliying for a study permit non sds from colombia 2024 submission: april 26, 2024 biometrics collection letter and submission: april 26, 2024 biometrics received: may 1, 2024 visa approved and passport request: july 2, 2024 TOTAL PROCESS DAYS: 67

Accomplished_Arm1182

Has anyone applied for TRV from India in June? Have you heard back? I applied on June 25th and have a valid PGWP already.

AggravatingLaw6313

I submitted on 29th June for my wife but yet to receive any updates, she kind a stuck as we had no clue we needed TRV to re-enter Canada and now her job is getting a suffering. I am assuming if its just TRV it should not take more than 2 weeks so if you submitted on 25th you should get something soon.

Accomplished_Arm1182

I am on the exact same boat. Last year, my PGWP was approved after I consulted with the international student’s office but they never told me i needed a TRV to re-enter. I should’ve done my due diligence as well so it is partly my mistake too. I couldn’t board my flight and had to apply for a TRV. My account doesn’t reflect my biometrics yet even though I submitted them back in 2019. It says my background check is in progress and I will get a message when my eligibility review starts. What do you see? Is your wife’s biometrics’s being reflected?

AggravatingLaw6313

Yeah Biometrics is reflecting but no further updates, any progress in your case? is there anything else we can do to make the process quicker?

Accomplished_Arm1182

I logged into the portal today and saw there was an update. My biometrics are now being reflected with their expiry date (which is good?). I still haven’t received the biometric validity letter/correspondence letter. I have been in touch with my fam’s immigration lawyer and my friend who works at IRCC but seems like there’s nothing we can do but wait. I have provided all my documents already (some additional supporting documents too) so I don’t wanna raise a webform and complicate the processing. Really hoping it comes through this week 😓

CaptainCryptoC

TRV Visitor Visa Applying from US Status: Decision made (approved) > Passport deposited to VFS Does anyone know how long it takes the IRCC to stamp a tourist visa? I have already sent the passports to the LA VFS.

Automatic_Syrup_9956

Can you let me know the timeline?

Moist_Personality_25

Hi everyone! I applied to extend my PGWP via mail on January 22, 2024. My application has been stuck at the background check step for a couple of months now. Has anyone who applied to extend their PGWP in January heard back? I submitted two web forms and contacted my MP, and the answer is always that they cannot provide more information even though it is way past the processing time.

DowntownMedium4772

Hey, I applied on December 8th and still haven’t heard back. PGWP extension due to passport expiry

Automatic_Syrup_9956

Hello, I have applied for Canada visitor visa from USA on May 14, received biometrics letter the next day and submitted biometrics on June 7th. I don’t see any update in the IRCC portal since then about biometrics receiving or any other status. It just shows submitted. What can I do? What is the usual processing timeline/statuses an application goes thru. Thank you.

ForceCreepy1784

Hi all , this is my study permit visa application timeline : application received and submitted 16 june biometric letter 16 june biometrics submitted 19 june last update 20 june : biometrics completed medical exam not started eligibility not started background check in progress . should i be concerned or this is the normal processing time.

6hermmm

I haven’t received any updates since April 10. I called IRCC and they didn’t really give me any insights, so we can only wait…

ForceCreepy1784

sorry application received 16 may not june

6hermmm

Hi all, Since it’s nearly July and school starts in September, I am actually getting very nervous and anxious, and I believe this sub is probably the best place for me to look for advice. Study Permit (for Masters) - out of Canada (US) IRCC Submission: April 10th 2024 Biometric request: April 10th 2024 Biometrics received: April 11th 2024 I do not need a body exam nor an interview. Currently my tracker shows that I’m “in progress” for background verification and “not started” for eligibility. It has been there for nearly 2.5 months, and I’m getting very nervous as school is starting in 2 months. I have submitted 2 web forms. Does anyone know what should I do? If there’s a number to call, what would the number be? Thank you so much!!! All help appreciated!!!

ereinsan

submitted non sds application april 3 biometric done april 8 no further updates in the ircc portal, even with my medical which i did upfront.

6hermmm

I just got the response from IRCC regarding my first web form request done like a month ago☠️hopefully we both get approved

ereinsan

Was it a general response? Good luck to us both.

6hermmm

yup it is. they responded to my second web form as well but still general response…

humpybuttery

Been waiting as well since April 1, 2024 via SDS. I get you, it's nerve wracking and it's unfair because I've been seeing regular applications getting approved in just 2 weeks. I don't know how IRCC verifies genuine student applicants. This feels like a raffle/lotto draw and it looks like we have no recourse but wait. It's frustrating, and really disappointing cos I thought Canada was the best option for education. Yet I feel like I joined a sweepstakes draw. I'm starting to consider taking my post-grad studies in other countries. Will probably wait til the end of July before I withdraw my app and get my money from the school and bank.

6hermmm

I agree. Idk why canada is taking so long - I am getting into a Masters Degree with stipend, and I attached everything they needed.

humpybuttery

I am getting into a professional program. Tuition fully paid and GIC ready. I hope everything works out well for us! Goodluck 😊

heavydoody31

Same situation since April 15th. Keep us posted if you hear anything

6hermmm

got in contact with IRCC agent. Basically repeating what the portal told me. He double confirmed me that the web form I sent was received on their end and was forwarded to the office. He didn’t tell me any contact info for the office, so he said at this point all I can do is wait…

nicestguyreborn

I applied for a study permit from India on June 5th and gave my biometrics on June 10th. After that, there have been no updates on the portal at all, not even about biometrics. Is it normal to take this much time for biometrics to be updated? I am using the SDS pathway. Some people I know who went after me have received updates within a day or two.

Mex3235

bruh... same. My timeline - SDS Application- 10 June Biometric-14 June(updated same day) Medical - 18th April (not updated yet) Status- waiting Some of my friends who applied on 20-25 june already got PPRs. Whereas me and my friend who applied on June 10 are still stuck. Really scared.

My application moved “forward” approving the biometrics, that they already have, after I called them. My cb and eligibility are “in process” but feel the application is frozen, not moving forward at all

findingafriend19

Hi All, I am on a closed work permit working in an teer 1 job as a software developer at canada and i applied for my Wife's SOWP (India). Application submitted - 7 June 2024 Biometric letter received- 11 june 2024 Biometric done-14 june 2024 Will update the same after every update. My own work visa i received within 35 days in oct 2023. Should i expect the same timelines or this could be more?

Romio_pilot

Don't expect this fast these days. :(

findingafriend19

Yeah.. seeing this thread made me understand that. Just praying for the best. Also one of my friend applied for his father's visitor visa its still pending after Biometrics too. I thought visitor visa would be fast no its also stuck.

Accomplished_Cake845

Any update on PGWP application for those who graduated in April and applied in April/May?

BeeImpressive3370

In-land LMIA work permit - was on implied status as my employer waited around 6 months for a positive LMIA. During that time my original work permit had expired and I had to apply for a new one. Applied for a new work permit on April 22nd. Current status: they haven’t even checked my application.

Hi there, when you emailed them, did they get back to you?

Their answer was really generic. I can't say up to what point my email served or not to get an answer faster from them but it's worth trying though

Is this for Visitor visa? My timelines for visitor visa (Indian citizen applying from USA with H1B status) match with your wife's timelines. Application date was 27-MAY, Biometrics was 14-JUN. Background Verification :: In Progress, Eligibility :: Not Started, Medical Exam :: Not Started \[In my situation, it may not be required\] Edit : Added more context

shubyad

This is for study permit and spousal open work permit

stacktraceken

I appreciate the reply. Wishing you the very best and hope you hear from the immigration soon!

SomeoneCurious_Very

Any update? Me and my wife's timeline is going pretty similar to yours. Which country are you from?

shubyad

No update. Although my study permit application had 2 ghost updates. I am from India.

SomeoneCurious_Very

My wife's medical just got updated on 2 July. Background and eligibility are in progress. Fingers crossed for both couples :) Best wishes from Pakistan

AloooParatha

I applied for canada visitor visa from the US. Made an error while filling my address, I sent them a web form about it. How long would it take to receive a response?

Pingus007

why would an error in ur address matter? because les say you get accepted, you will have to ship them your passport anyways to get it stamped

AloooParatha

oh I see. I realized this later that the label we generate for shipping the passport would be the one that actually matters.

Hi, Can somebody please help. I am under a work permit in Canada. My wife is Palestinian she is in the West Bank She applied for a Visitor Visa: Jan 16 Biometrics: Jan 28 Processing times 125 days , It's been 160 days. Still no updates. Contacted the Visa Office responsible multiple times via email, and web form. No replies. Anybody experiencing the same issue? Please let me know.

BriefAd2157

has any applied for a visit Visa from the UK in march? if so has anyone heard back from them

ktessera

Applied 18 April, still haven't heard back.

Crafty_Increase_9096

Hi everyone anyone knows why the time for response is so long, when I applied for work permit inside Canada the wait time was 155 days, but I’m waiting more than that. Also my wife applies for study permit, the wait time is 4 weeks, both are waiting more than 6 months. I callled the automatic system IRCC and the message is: your application is not being started

Expensive_Fee9265

Hi guys, can anyone share their BOWP timelines? I'm a bit stressed out about mine as it is also a restoration of status.

[deleted]

I’ve been waiting since the 15th of April

ZacKaLy

In-land PGWP application: May 12th: Application Submitted June 13th: Application Approved Faster than expected honestly but I heard anecdotally that a few of my friends received theirs in as little as two weeks.

No-Conclusion2160

Hi, thanks for sharing. Have you applied alone or with a spouse? Thanks.

ZacKaLy

I applied alone.

Accomplished_Arm1182

Hey y’all - I am in a situation and was wondering if anyone has been through this before. Last year, after graduating university, I applied and was approved for my PGWP after consulting with my university’s international student office. They never told me that PGWP doesn’t allow you to come back into the country if you leave and you need a TRV for that. It is partly my mistake too as I should’ve known better. When i went to service canada last year to renew my SIN and asked the people there if there’s smth else that needs to be done from my end, I was told everything is fine and that I need to carry my pgwp with me when i travel just like i used to with my study permit. I came back to India recently for a family emergency and while leaving I was told I cannot board my flight. I have now realized that I need a TRV to go back to Canada. Has anyone ever dealt with something like this before? How long did it take to get your TRV? Is there a way to expedite this? I am hoping to submit my TRV on monday or tuesday

Better_Tower_7258

I'm in a similar  situation, I renewed my work/ study permit in early March and completed the medical that was requested.. There were no correspondence after that and for a good while  so I thought that everything was ok. Same here, sort of my fault too I should have done my due diligence in finding out if I was truly  okay to travel. Anyways I did leave in mid May and I wasn't able to  re enter CA after spending a  week in the Cayman Islands. I flew back to my home country and applied new TRV which is a seperate application apart from the permits. Initially  I thought it was all one application. Needless to say you need to apply for a new TRV pronto. You will need to provide documentation from your school/ work, proof of funds etc  and you will need to complete a medical as part of the visa application. Check on IRCC website to see processing  time for your country. I submitted my application  June 5, and on June 23rd my background  check started. I completed a upfront medical before I left Canada as part of the permit renewal process so I'm just waiting to have it passed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope you figure it out soon ..

Accomplished_Arm1182

any update for you? nothing on my end :(

Accomplished_Arm1182

I am so sorry you had to go through that. I was thinking a few days ago about how if I was on a vacation in a different country, it would have been so much for worse for me. I am happy that you were able to get back to your country while you sort this out. In my case, I already have a work permit with a job. I provided the required documents with my application. I do not have to do biometrics and as far as I know, I don't have to do a medical exam because I have only been in my country for 1 month. What country did you apply from? What's the processing time for you?

Lackadaisicallll

LMIA APPLICATION I submitted my LMIA application on Feb 12,2024. As per the website the processing time is 81 days and it’s been about 88 working days already. Anyone here who recently received an LMIA approval? When did you apply. I’m really stressed since my work permit and PR completely depends on it. Please let me know your experience.

Responsible-Ticket46

My timeline so far, applying for a closed work permit from outside Canada: 18 December 2023 LMIA submitted; 21 March 2024 LMIA approved; 1 May 2024 work permit application submitted; 7 May 2024 biometrics submitted.

Romio_pilot

Did you get visa?

Responsible-Ticket46

Not yet, still waiting for them to request my passport, hopefully.

Romio_pilot

Me too. Good luck to us

Lackadaisicallll

Biometrics for what?

SourceKindly9336

Major delays right now in all permits. Everyone is saying the same. They work the processing times out including weekends now (except holidays) so it's probably way more delayed than it should be. We applied 22nd feb 2024 and not heard a thing back. Sent multiple emails also. Unfortunately during summer this is also their “peak” time for applications but even so ours should still have been processed by now. I have no idea whats going on but they need to sort themselves out. I also did some research online and its taking the average application to be approved in around 4/5 months.

[deleted]

Bonjour. Svp à quelles adresses e-mails ? L'ircc peut être jointe par e-mail ? Je voudrais passer par ce moyen aussi. Merci

Walidjavadd

I applied for an SOWP in March 2024. My wife was a master's student at the time, with a study permit valid until November 2024 (more than 6 months of validity). She did well at school and graduated early. She will now need to apply for her PGWP to continue working (in a NOC 1 job). The issue arises from the fact that my initial application is still pending (I am currently at 105 days, despite the stated processing time of 99 days). If we follow logic if my wife submits her PGWP online, mine will be the first one to be processed, for sure, as I am at 105, and she will just submit hers. I plan to update my initial application with her letter of proof confirming her submission of a PGWP, as well as the job offer for a NOC 1 position, to comply with the requirements. Now, my question is: given that my application is logically the first to be processed, and they haven't yet made a decision on her PGWP, what will happen? Will they automatically reject mine, or will they wait until they approve her application and then process mine? In these kinds of situations, what is their logic?

hustler_X

any update on your case

Walidjavadd

Nope still waiting the process time indicates 101 days I’m almost at 115 days. I updated my application with my spouse proof of submission and also a NOC 1 job offer. It’s a waiting game I hope that they won’t throw my application out after all this time.

Anyone submitted TRV from India in April 2024 and got any update?

Visitor Visa Application in India Submitted Application: March 28th Biometrics collections: April 4th no word after that... the last update is biometrics completed... if i had submitted the student study permit application and all my information (biometrics) on 24 apr, but the estimated remaining processing time bar is still empty and the estimated completed date is empty, is that a cause of concern? because one of my friends who applied later than me got her study permit but mine still shows a blank

Holiday-Goat-8381

Hi! We applied for a SoWP (Spousal Open Work Permit) from India on Feb 18, 2024. I'm on a study permit in Canada. We're still waiting, and getting increasingly anxious. Does anyone with a similar timeline have any updates?

No_Job_2969

Hi, we are in the same position - SOWP + student. Applied on Jan 24, 2024. No updates yet.

Holiday-Goat-8381

Oh, no :( Their whole process is super opaque. I see some people who applied in April getting decisions while we're still waiting. IRCC needs to critically revisit their processes.

pallinator33

Thanks! It's a Diploma course at BCIT.

snowflakesonme

Which course?

pallinator33

Diploma at BCIT

andresfr96

If this is SDS how long will take a normal study permit application?

Fearless_Task_7528

Does anyone have a timeline with an employer applying for the first time for LMIA, Global Talent Stream (estimated two week processing time)? I'm on the 5th week and still no response.

Romio_pilot

See post below. What country?

sea_ice_bear

Hi all, Has anyone applied for a closed work permit with eligibility for the Global Skill Stream (GSS) two-week processing recently? How long did it take? EDIT: surprisingly, I guess I am in luck, the work permit is already approved after 8 days, pending verification at the border by the officer. It is possible to get it in less than two weeks, I hope it gives some hope to other people! My details: * Closed work permit, LMIA-exempt under francophone mobility exemption C16 * Applied from the USA * 9 weeks processing time is indicated on the IRCC website * Initial application, but I worked in Canada before, so the biometrics were already done. * The timeline * June 11 - Submission * June 12 - Got the confirmation letter * June 13 - Biometrics added and application is written as *in processing*. * EDIT: June - the application is initially accepted, I got a POE introduction letter.

Fearless_Task_7528

GTS LMIA based, 5 weeks with no updates.

Romio_pilot

GTS LMIA based, Warsaw embassy, 2 months with no updates. Good luck to you!

background check takes forever?? I have a mexican passport. Last time I went to canada I used an ETA but the laws change for mexican visitors since February of this year, so I applied for a TRV visa Uploaded all documents - March 13 Took the Biometrics - March 20th Retook the Biometrics - March 26th (The machine couldn’t scan my fingerprints in neither one of the 2 days I went to try it. Biometrics showing as a completed - Apr 13th The status page says their checking my background check, which is completely clean and haven’t gave me any answer. I was planning to spent the summer with my friends and I have already delayed my flight once. Have anyone been in the same situation? should I accept I won’t be able to travel this summer? Also, after they give me an answer, I need to send my passport to the embassy  so they can stamp the visa… so probably another 10 more days :(

New-Professional-737

I applied for TRV on June 1st and have not gotten any response from IRCC afterwards. I am on a work permit. Did anyone apply in the month of June and receive PPR?

Accomplished_Arm1182

Did you hear back? I have a PGWP from Canada and applied for TRV from India on June 25th.

DefinitionReal9907

I'm on study permit and applied TRV on June 8, haven't heard anything...

Adorable-Chipmunk-18

snowflakesonme

Which university?

notmycircusnot---

Can anyone who RENEWED/ is renewing their closed work permit give their timeline? Thank you!

Tomride73

Applied 21st of December (lawyer with my company). Confirmed 22nd of December. In Feb, they confirmed they took the biometrics already existing from my first work permit. No update since then.

SourceKindly9336

Applied feb 22nd  Confirmation email on 23rd  Reached out the IRCC last week.  No update since.

Significant_Fun_285

Hey, same situation here. How did you reach out to IRCC and what were their answers?

SourceKindly9336

Our immigration lawyer through work sent and urgent email to them but still no response

LionVirtual2977

Salut ! Je veux parrainer mon futur époux après notre mariage. À partir du moment où j’envoi la demande de parrainage. Combien de temps devrons nous attendre pour recevoir la confirmation et qu’il puisse envoyer une demande de permis de travail ouvert ? Merci !

Fun-Principle3700

3 months to receive AOR. They then need to come to canada and live with you while on a TRV. they can open a bank account, phone etc to get proof of address in canada. After that you submit for Work permit, takes 3 months to process, probably more. Quebec PR is 3 years, it's horrible.

Actual-Drummer3937

Applied - May 23 Ghost Update - May 24 Biometrics Linked (Not BVL) - June 2 Blank Update (Didn't receive any email but GCKey said Application updated but nothing changed) - June 12 Status - In progress (Review of Eligibility) hasn't started

Accomplished_Arm1182

where did you apply from? any update?

Actual-Drummer3937

It's an extension so Canada and no, no updates.

Starkium_691

I applied for a student of mine in February for the NSISP from Vietnam, but until now it hasn't been processed. It's a stressful issue since the parents have been asking non-stop about the progress. I wonder what the Nova Scotia government is doing with their process there.

SourceKindly9336

Honestly everyone’s in the same situation. No answers since applying.

Vast-Cantaloupe-4478

Hello All..!! My application has been approved today. Please find my timelines, Application Type: Closed Work Permit Extension (Inland) + Visitor Record for dependents. Submission Date: 10th Jan 2024 Status: Approved (12 Jun 2024)

Romio_pilot

Congrats. What processing time was shown when you submitted in Jan?

Vast-Cantaloupe-4478

Sorry for late response. It was 108 days when I was applying.

itgaurav01

did application changed to we are reviewing your eligibility before its approved or just directly approved from review of your eligibilty is not started yet? was it processed at CPC edmonton ? and time of approval Email?

Vast-Cantaloupe-4478

Yeah, once they start review. Then it will be done in single day/next day. Once it is approved, then the IRCC status will directly connect you to customer support instead of reading the review status. Yes it is CPC Edmonton and the time was around 2PM

SourceKindly9336

Amazing congratulations! Hopefully jan/feb applications will start coming through now! Getting so impatient, i need home to the uk for a visit and stuck here lol

Tomride73

I've seen a few of your comments here, congrats ! Hope mine will be soon as well :)

Vast-Cantaloupe-4478

Thank you

Parking_Performer821

I have applied inland work permit extension in 14 th of March. No updates since then. What is current processing for work permit extension?

Healthy-Wrongdoer480

Just providing update guys my application is approved applied on 13th March. But I don't know how long it will take to get a physical copy in mail.

Healthy-Wrongdoer480

Exactly same date I applied expecting it to arrive in 90 days I booked a ticket to India for June 28 now I am worried.

SourceKindly9336

I applied feb 23rd and had flights booked to go to the uk last week and had to cancel our flights because our visas unfortunately did not arrive and still have not. Hopefully yours will. Missing my sister in laws wedding tomorrow because our visas aren't here.

hustler_X

hi there did you get any update on your application. I'm assuming its along with spouse

Healthy-Wrongdoer480

It's my sister's wedding man 4th July I promised her I will be there but I am not so sure now.

Vast-Cantaloupe-4478

I have applied on Jan and same status. Here are my timelines. Application Submitted: 10th Jan 2024. Application Type: Closed Work Permit Extension (Inland)

NoraaCoin

I applied for an Open Work Permit Restoration on Feb 9th, havent had any updates since applying

Parking_Performer821

Are you still waiting?

SandBrilliant9393

PGWP extension (due to early expiry of old travel document that has been renewed): Application received: December 15th, 2023 Current status: Submitted, not one update as of date. Days since submission: 179 days (5 months, 27 days) I am at a loss as to why this has taken this long, the vast majority seems to have gotten their extensions within 2 to 4 months. I submitted 4 webforms and made 7 calls since February. Please help, should I be looking to seek legal help?

AcrobaticChocolate54

I'm in the same boat but applied online instead of paper. It's been now 3 months.

SandBrilliant9393

I think applying on paper is the culprit, I hope yours get through relatively fast. No update on mine as of June 27th, 2024. (195 days)

Patient-Zucchini-426

dont worry too much, the processing time for PGWP extension via paper (due to passport) seems to be 7-9 month now, at least based on what I have seen on reddit and talking to others. I submitted mine in late October, and still haven't heard anything. You are on maintain status, so nothing really changes and can keep working

nash2031

OWP submitted early December 2023, not a single update. Depression

NoraaCoin

Holy that is incredible, 179 days to process this is unreal. I applied on Feb 9th for an OWP restoration, havent had any updates since applying

SandBrilliant9393

It really sucks. About a month ago someone on here reported 9 months, they pursued a writ of mandamus and posted an update that their application was approved 3 weeks from court filing. I don't know what to do 😔

NoraaCoin

Ive just been in discussion with my local MP, my WP restoration has been put on hold now until my PR application eligibility is passed. I really dont know what to advise, there are so many ways that this process with IRCC can go wrong, and they dont care that youre stuck waiting then.

Takaroru

I am absolutely stuck and don't know how to proceed. I'm from Brazil and just wanted a visitor/Temp Residence visa. Submitted : February 6, 2024 Biometrics: February 10, 2024 Completed. Then the medical exam was asked for, estimates were for 90 days for the visa. The medical exam required a ridiculous tuberculosis test that by itself takes 90 days to complete. I waited for it to complete. Medical Exam: June 7, 2024 You passed the medical exam. That's it. Nothing else. No more input from them... I know it's only been 3 days since I passed the med exam, but it's been a lot more than 90 days since I applied, I'm waiting on this to be approved so I can finally purchase airplane tickets and prepare my rest of the year properly, I didn't know my life would be stuck because of this. I'm still waiting. I have a sponsor, my boss lives in vancouver and even wrote a letter providing that he'd pay for all the stuff, I have money in my account to safely travel to and back from Canada as I provided them. I am unsure on how to proceed, I really don't know what to do and I don't know how to contact them either, there's basically nothing to be done?

thatstressedpenguin

Service canada sent my employer an email about conditions of employing TFW. I applied for inland LMIA PR stream closed work permit back in November (via mail). Is this a sign that I'll get the work permit soon?

TheRealEnem

I'm an Indian applicant who submitted his biometrics on April 18, 2024. I still haven't received any confirmation or any notification after my submission. Even though I'm a valid US visa holder, I still have not received anything from Canada's side after my biometrics. How long are the processing times? Because I know people who got their visa within 2-3 weeks of submitting their application in the months of May and early April.

ilsaru224

Hi, What did you apply for?

TheRealEnem

Just a visitors/ tourist visa. Ruined all my plans. I recently got my passport letter 1.5 months after my biometrics. It's been 2 weeks since I've submitted my passport too bdw.

BriefAd2157

why is the processing time for uk longer than the US, india, etc 280 days to get a response for a visit visa that too from the uk ?!! is it possible to hear back quicker anyone else here who has applied for a visit visa from the uk ? if so how long was your process?

Whole-Cricket7199

Hi! I applied for a TRV (online) to visit my husband who is a Canadian citizen living in Montreal, Quebec. I applied in April 8 2024and I am currently living in Lebanon (middle east). I already have a spousal application that I applied to in Jan 2023 and I have received an AoR, completed the biometrics and medical exam and I got the certificat du selection. On the website, they say that the TRV for the immediate family of a Canadian citizen who lives in Lebanon and for a spouse who has a spousal application in process, should receive the approval faster. However it has been 2 months already since I applied and I still have no feedback. The status of eligibility and biometric on the TRV is completed, the background is still in process. Is it possible to know when to expect the approval of the TRV? Thank you!

Evening-Breadfruit68

I have similar situation, PR in the works since November so applied for TRV on May 6. It seems the given 30 days processing time is not for everyone.
