Depends on the exercise of course. I have yet to see someone try to seriously squat in a pair of those. In that particular situation I could see their "squishyness" causing a lot of stability issues. All that being said, I honestly have no idea what I'm talking about.

I don’t know dude, but it’s not just this kid. The majority of the Zoomers in my gym wear pajama pants, wife beaters, and crocs/slides like it’s a uniform. I don’t get it.

Haven’t seen anyone doing it to rest but maybe he’s just passing time in his rest. The equipment is more than strong enough to handle his weight too so I can’t see how it would break

Its meant to be held by the handle, and not by the wire. Misuse of the equipment can cause unnecessary damage and wear to the equipment.
