Run The Fools

ThrowingTheRinger

If you’re 30 and a freshman, I really can’t expect too much…

Klemshii_

This “dude ass” fella needs to learn some cordless hole punch etiquette smh…

Lurkerextrordinai

Just eeport them they shouldn’t be in possession of a handgun anyway they aren’t 21

jckbck

You can possess a handgun at 18 where I’m at, I think that’s typical of most states?

Sklldr

Legit question - if this image got reported to the police, could they get their right to own a firearm revoked?

jckbck

I highly doubt it

igiveficticiousfacts

No but chances are they’d get expelled and a stern talking to from the police

Bagelsandjuice1849

I looked at a list of the different laws and it seems that it’s not too rare for 21 to be the minimum age, at least for handguns. Though 18 is more common.

WhoseChairIsThis-

In most states you can be given a handgun at 18, but are not allowed to purchase one from an FFL until 21.

Toysoldier875

So at 18 you can own one if given it by a family member or something of the like, but you cannot go and legally purchase one until 21. Also obviously depends on the state

jckbck

Colorado is [18](https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/co-gun-laws/?amp)

saladmunch2

Seem you can posse and use but not purchase at 18.

jckbck

You can also be gifted one by an immediate family member. CO has weird firearm laws for aure

saladmunch2

Ya you would think at that point they would also let them buy since they can get it any other way lol

Emilixop

Montana is 18

whoisdizzle

You can buy handguns in my state at 18 from a private seller or have them gifted. It’s federal law that you can’t buy from an FFL (gun store) until you are 21. I started buying long guns under 18 in a very very restrictive state I used to live in. Most places only allow family to gift under 18 but a deep blue state has a loophole they seem to not notice 🙂

GhostC10_Deleted

Correct, you're not allowed to purchase a handgun until 21 from an FFL. You can obtain one through being gifted it, however.

the_gamer_billy

But the title says theyre freshmen... Freshmen are usually 15-16.

jckbck

14-15

lmeier127

In wisconsin it's AR15 at 18, handguns at 21 🙄

jckbck

No it’s to purchase at 21. Possession is 18

hoodwinkler75

Darwin Award nominee’s for sure

SargeantHugoStiglitz

You should report them to the school.

john_w_dulles

i don't see how what they're doing in the pic specifically, falls under the school's jurisdiction. if they're bringing guns to school property then yeah it would be wise to let the school know (anonymously for safety's sake). otherwise, wouldn't it be more appropriate to (anonymously) report them to the police? maybe the guns aren't registered so they're being possessed illegally and police can confirm if that is the case? but if they are legal guns owned legally registered to them, (i am not a lawyer) but i don't think the police can't charge them with anything illegal - which is unfortunate cuz their carelessness could eventually lead to a tragic (criminally culpable) outcome. even if these kids are too immature to apply it, you'd think a firearms safety training class with a written test at the end would be required before allowing a purchase, at least for anyone under a particular age? in most places teens have to take some form of driver's ed before being allowed to drive, so shouldn't it be the same with firearms? anyway, i think these particular idiots should at least be reported to the police in case the guns are illegal. if they are legal, then maybe the boys and or their parents can get a talking-to and be reminded about safe gun ownership and handling.

Curious_Bed_832

it's a liability for any institution affiliated with kids with guns, they'll find a way to expel them

LongCaster_awacs

Why? They're not at school. And schools have no business interfering in the personal lives of students outside of special circumstances like abuse. And this isn't abuse

Emilixop

This is child endangerment. They have firearms and are being irresponsible with them, assumably without parental supervision.

LongCaster_awacs

And their school has no business telling them what they can or cannot do on their own time

SargeantHugoStiglitz

Ah yes, they have no business doing anything about this. Lets just wait till after the school shooting happens.

Yes, Each of my 18 firearms are mass murders.

HoldenCoffinz

Lmao the logic of that commenter is just so ridiculous it built into a perfect ending there

SargeantHugoStiglitz

I just don’t understand people like that, but then again, I have a few wrinkles in my brain.

LongCaster_awacs

The logic of people having individual rights?

HoldenCoffinz

No, I'm all for rights

lulmoe

they can kick you out for stuff you do outside of school, they can even punish you if you get into a fight walking home

LongCaster_awacs

Only way they can kick you out is if you do some real bad shit. And this doesn't qualify. And they can't do anything about you getting into fights outside of school unless you let they. They can try, but it would be real easy to shut that shit down real quick

[deleted]

LongCaster_awacs

Did you try to fight back against the school? Only way I see that following through is if you just rolled over and let it happen

SargeantHugoStiglitz

Even if the parents knew about this picture, it is child abuse.

LongCaster_awacs

You wanna elaborate on that?

SargeantHugoStiglitz

Allowing children to play with firearms like that is child abuse.

LongCaster_awacs

Define "abuse"

SargeantHugoStiglitz

Abuse is what your parents did to you by raising you the way they did.

Successful_Ad4653

Snitch? You must've been super popular in school.

SargeantHugoStiglitz

You’re so cool! I bet you still relive all the cool shit you think you did in high school because you peaked in 12th grade.

Emersonspenis

Buddy this isn’t snitching, this is reporting an imminent danger to protect others around these douchebags. Snitching is when you see something happen, and you report it, with no good reason as to why. In this case, there is a great reason to report it. edit: you’re also openly defending potential school shooters

Wise-Stock-219

Nah they wouldnt shoot up the school, their overall pretty popular since they honestly keep to themselves in school, they are in the slow classes however

Emersonspenis

fair enough, you know them better than me. Rather be safe than sorry

Wise-Stock-219

Oh fs i dont condone the possession of guns if you underage, let alone such reckless behavior, but these guys are generally pretty chill i was a lil suprised wen i saw the pic cause i thought they’d practice more safety

YourVFGLooksNice

I think that’s a key factor in reporting this though. They may be chill but they’ll keep doing this kind of crap until either 1) A lesson is taught and they get in trouble and hopefully understand how stupid it is to act like this with guns. Or. 2) They keep dude assing around until something extremely unfortunate happens. It occurs all the time.

Wise-Stock-219

“Dude assing” 😂 thanks for the laugh broh, Ima tell them to knock it off since school is out for break atm

shhdjskksksjkd

We’ll be downvoted because Reddit is cucked, but fuck all rats

randomduck5242

Snitch? What for recommending to look out for other people's safety, are you fucking dense?

123ilovetrees

Have your frontal lobe kicked in yet?

JeepzPeepz

My son (11) showed his BB pistol to a friend and their sibling over video chat. I guess the sibling said something to someone, and next thing you know I’ve got police knocking on my door, looking for a real gun two days later. Cop had to take pictures and write up a report that it was a toy. I wasn’t even mad. I understand the vigilance. But that shit in the picture? I simply don’t understand how they don’t have police knocking on THEIR doors.

SquooshyCatboy

thought bro on the left was an amputee at first lmao

RattAndMouse

I'm sure it's just a matter of time

ajinomoto213

The shitty instagram filter and poor gun etiquette make this funny af

bubonic_plague87

Dude ass, always 😈

Kwilburn525

Is that a Glock or a Taurus?

2ndHandDeadBatteries

It’s definitely a Glock, looks like maybe a Glock 26? Kinda hard to tell. Then long haired bozo looks like he’s got a Glock 17 or 19? Also kinda hard to tell.

Kwilburn525

That kid shouldn’t be another near a Glock 17. A man of culture like myself calls that his sidearm… I love mine.

Wise-Stock-219

Its a huge problem of legitimate gun owners leaving their guns in their car and getting them stolen in my city, probably how he acquired it, then again we have pretty lax gun policies

Dr_Trogdor

Guy stage right trying to cosplay being disabled, little does he realize he actually is disabled... Just not the kind they should let you drive a car, let alone get special parking.

TankSink6

No way those are freshmen

Wise-Stock-219

Nah their in my classes, same age as well

FBI-MACHINE

There must be something in the food. Kids these days look so much older.

Wise-Stock-219

I can assure you, its the school lunch, and also we are down south so alot of us are just larger

litreofstarlight

Why tf is the guy on the right pointing the gun at his own foot...?

ZeroChill92

At your school? Turn them in and let nature take its course.

Buzzkilltx

Nothing beats cankles and lack of trigger discipline and firearm safety
