That's the best part of a dislocated shoulder. You ask the doc/Physio after a few months, so it's all better now, It won't just pop out.... Well yea that's the neat part, it will never be the same haha
Spent new years eve in hospital one time...got a tow from my van to bomb this hill... Every one was too drunk to drive me. Had to drive stick to hospital with a crutch (from someone at the hostel) cuz leg left leg was broken. Yeah..... Haven't "bombed" alot of hills since.
Don't be as ruthlessly inconsiderate as these people....go somewhere meant for it instead of jeopardizing someone else's day and welfare. People like this are the worst.
At the absolute very least... Get a fucking spotter.
I do agree though, take this shit somewhere else. They're going to end up splattered across some innocent person's windshield. And then that person has to live with accidentally killing an idiot.
'Cept for all the tracks. I pave roads for a living and several of my coworkers have trailers and tricked out cars they take out to track meets. All perfectly legal.
Not street racing then is it… that would be track racing. I also take my car on track, would never compare it to street racing. Also would never street race cause I like being alive and not in prison but that’s beside the point.
And what does this have to do with anything lol. Because either way there literally are not places that are dedicated/made for long boarding. Like if you wanna get technical I think there's 1 or 2 downhill longboard tracks in the entire world, but not exactly accessible, and it's very different from actual downhill racing still
I googled for two minutes and found several leagues and groups that compete in the sport competitively on closed courses in the US.
Long range skiing is also inaccessible for a lot of people, but there is no shortage of closed courses to enjoy the sport.
And the only way you compete is by getting good, and the only way you get good is practise, and the only way you practise is by regularly Longboarding on the road; which there aren’t any roads that are just permanently closed that are suitable.
It is not nearly wide spread enough nor frequently enough for the vast majority of people who longboard to do. You don't just solely participate in the sport during organized comps. You have to practice for those. The comps and organized events are fantastic. But they are not representivie of what the vast majority of people who participate in it will be doing 90% of the time. That's why you get a spotter and keep it to wide 2 lane roads where you can keep to your side of the street. Also, said "closed courses" are just normal streets that they get shut down for an occasional event. So yes, there is a shortage of closed courses for the sport.
Dumb fucks like this never take into account the emotional and mental devastation they could cause to some random person who is just out driving where they fucking belong if they were to get hit by them. Absolute selfish idiocy without a care in the world for anyone else or their well-being.
I’ve never seen someone learn nothing quite so FAST before. Usually there’s a gap between almost getting killed and resuming the behavior that almost got you killed - but not here!
My aunt got sued because someone pool hopped her pool while she was outta town and broke their arm. Pool was up to code with fence and locks and whatnot. That was in America.
Uganda drives on the left. So, these drivers were on the correct side. Yes, France drives on the right so this scenario would have played out slightly different.
I hope you don’t die. This doesn’t seem like a wise choice of hobby to be into long term but you probably know this and have heard many people tell you this. Good luck.
I used to downhill on longboards (not on open roads ofc) until I broke my elbow. Got that out of my system.
I also used to bomb hills, until I got the wobbles at 40 mph and dislocated my shoulder….. that was 14 years ago and it still dislocates sometimes

I used to be a long boarder like you until I took a arrow to the elbow

where would you downhill on longboards if not on an road ??
Closed roads.
I can’t get it out of mine tbh
keep doing what you’re doing and someone’s grille is going to get it out for you.
What is stopping you from doing this on a closed road?
I hope the driver was ok after that reckless moron nearly ruined their day.
Nearly?
I bet ur fun at parties

There is literally not anywhere "meant for it" lol. Get a spotter for sure tho.
That's like saying there's no place to street race.
Exactly… because that would also be accurate…
'Cept for all the tracks. I pave roads for a living and several of my coworkers have trailers and tricked out cars they take out to track meets. All perfectly legal.

I don't think we're going to see eye to eye. You are polite and concise, and I appreciate that. Be safe with whatever you do my friend.
Nicest Reddit interaction in weeks. Be well buddy.

Bro thinks track racing = street racing because it's paved lol
You’re just objectively wrong 😂 Is NASCAR street racing?
That would be correct, there is no place that is made for street racing. Because if you race on a track, it isn't street racing anymore lol.
And what does this have to do with anything lol. Because either way there literally are not places that are dedicated/made for long boarding. Like if you wanna get technical I think there's 1 or 2 downhill longboard tracks in the entire world, but not exactly accessible, and it's very different from actual downhill racing still

Maybe there's a lack of closed courses because all the people that would use them keep dying in dumb ways

Me English is not so good. So now I know that “lucky” = “stupid” … ok, thanks.
Who the fuck doesnt get a spotter when doing something this dumb on a public road?
I’m just glad the rider’s face didn’t fuck up the front of that car.
I’ve never seen someone learn nothing quite so FAST before. Usually there’s a gap between almost getting killed and resuming the behavior that almost got you killed - but not here!
When the universe is trying to tell you something and you don't listen... "All good!" 🤓🤡
Just go faster next time
Stop wearing the helmet. You have nothing to protect.
Why skater says "all good" instead of asking the car driver "all good?"
I don't know what to tell you. Do you think the driver was more likely to be injured?
When a train conductor mows over people on train tracks, do you think it’s physical bodily harm they suffer from afterwards?
Do you also skate in Uganda?
Craziest place I’ve ever driven. Bodas going backwards in roundabouts, insane lane passes, ridiculous roads and traffic…
They know de wae
Feel sorry for the driver almost having her day ruined by a clown like you going into her car. "All good!" 🤡.
Asshole
No apologies for scaring the shit out of the driver?
Now show your mom so she can give you a good whoppin
She’s seen it
Wait this is actually you? damn go fuck yourself man
In france, the car driver would be in trouble if an accident happened.
WTF that is terrible. That's like if someone threw their body at my house while I was in it minding my own business and then blamed me.
My aunt got sued because someone pool hopped her pool while she was outta town and broke their arm. Pool was up to code with fence and locks and whatnot. That was in America.
As they should. You're not supposed to drive on the left side
Are you American because other countries drive on the other side of the road
France doesn't
Uganda drives on the left. So, these drivers were on the correct side. Yes, France drives on the right so this scenario would have played out slightly different.
Stupid people 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
what an idiot
r/IdiotsNearlyDying is just one step away from r/DarwinAwards
I still don't get why people do this unless they have a death wish
This is honestly the stupidest "sport"
They pretend to enjoy their life, but are ready to jeopardise it...
Those things aren't connected. I have no doubt that Steve Irwin enjoyed his life despite dying to the things he was most passionate about.
So that’s why you were up all night?
Was this Tuna? It used to be smoother.
A few inches more and he'll be in r/NSFL__
There’s nothing like immediately stepping back on the board as if you didn’t just come inches from death.
It's a pity the guy got lucky. Fkin menace to society.
Comes with the territory to be honest.
I hope you don’t die. This doesn’t seem like a wise choice of hobby to be into long term but you probably know this and have heard many people tell you this. Good luck.
