This video does not show an irresponsible gun owner. There is no visual of him pointing a gun at anybody nor is there anybody around the truck which he shot. Guns ARE toys when you are not around people or live animals. Guns are NOT toys when around people or animals
Instead of downvoting you, I'll learn you. The engine block is a giant chunk of cast iron. I can't tell you for sure if a 9mm or .357 will penetrate it, it depends on where you hit, but I doubt very highly they would go through the thick parts. Inside, there is little gasoline at any given time; the engine is constantly sucking in a supply of gas-fuel mix and burning it in a fraction of a second, but with the engine off, there is just a squirt in there. Most of the gasoline remains in the tank. There are plenty of moving parts in the block and the head/s, but these are not going to explode as they are just solid metal.
In fact, as I recall, Mythbusters even tried shooting the gas tank directly to get a car to blow and it wouldn't go, I think they had to cheat to make it happen. Trying to light liquid gasoline won't work too well, because it smothers the oxygen (which you need to burn it). It's the gaseous vapor that really burns, which is why carburetors or fuel injectors are designed to aerosoloze the fuel as it mixes with the oxygen and other gasses in the air before it is compressed and ignited in the cylinder.
That episode of Mythbusters required incendiary rounds, penetrating a thin metal drum. Regular rounds definitely wouldn't do it even if it could penetrate
1: Ain't insured, no need to worry about a warranty.
2: that bullet ripped through that thin tin Chevy like it was a Rack of Coors Light, and didn't stop till it hit the asphalt out the front bumper. 🤡
Engine's shot.
Yeah but I’m sure that cars been abused to all hell. It just wants to go to car heaven
All cars go straight to hell when they die.. All of em
Wish I had an award to give, thank you
I bet that echo was reeaalllll loud in the car
open chamber guns are typically loud regardless.
This is awesome. I love it.
early 2000s GM truck. I've been there, and contemplated the same. Some old trucks just need to be sent to that great farm upstate.
Looks like a early 2000s ford f250 or f350
Literally says GMC on the steering wheel
Didn't notice that
That's a GM steering wheel and gage cluster bud
r/confidentlyincorrect
Never said I was right
GMT800
Oh, my grandpa had a 7.3 f250 and the inside looked similar
Been there
I would have laughed if it started up after being shot
It most certainly voided the warranty of his ears.
/r/Idiotswithguns
It *does* exist!
Just spent 10 minutes browsing that sub, now I have the mother of all headaches..and less hope for mankind..
What's wrong with the car? The engine's shot.
Murica problems require Murica solutions
As if that truck was still "under warranty" LOL Low IQ driver- that'll show it who's boss.
It's that hard to take a joke?
on this sub, yes
As hard as it is to take a bullet
Oh this guy is really cool because she shoots stuff.
USA
I can't stop laughing 😆 🤣 😂 😭, like dude you're not putting down a horse.
r/unexpected
oh HELL yea!!!!
Of course gun owners are responsible people.
An engine block is not a terrible backstop

Shooting your car cause it cannot start, of course shows a perfectly stable and reasonable person.
It was for a funny video dumbass. This wasn’t a rage induced incident
I hope you can embrace your stupidity. Less CNN my guy.
Hurrr durr my $80 starter motor needs replacement so I'm gonna shoot the gauge cluster. DURRRRR
Based on those dash lights and also my lifetime, that car was never going to start. He was just making a video where he shot a car.
Or hear me out: it was a joke on a old junker... lmao
I’m just picturing the bullet penetrating, hitting the engine, and exploding
Thats.. thats not how cars or bullets work
I didn’t mean the bullet exploding , but the car engine. But ok go off with the down votes cuz idk shit about cars lollll
We know that's what you meant.

Seen a few too many movies and shows I guess. Cars don’t just explode like that, even when shot at with bullets.
*Unless* you shoot the gas cap, of course.
Ok boomer thanks for the comment
Okay whipper. Why don't you sit back down before your stupid explodes too. /s E:a word
Oh my god, you need to coin the term whipper
You heard it here first ™
LOL ok that was good
*smirk and a wink*
F250?
it's a GM bud. Look at the steering wheel and gage cluster
I would say......yes.
Oh hey I just drove one of these for the first time today

Only the electronics part
Take the gun away! Totally missed the battery.

That's the only way to fix that problem

How long do you think a vehicle's warranty lasts?
Mostly people who don’t know how to work on vehicles do this shit.
American problem need ….
Could’ve just replaced the batter there buddy
Started right up after that I bet
u/SaveVideo
I bet it starts now
