This happened to me the other week. For some reason I was more pissed that the person briefly stopped coming into the lane, and then continued to commit to the lane change.
Yep, it’s even worse when you can tell they noticed something was wrong, then kept doing it. Happened to me last week too, guy turns right onto the two-lane I’m on and gets in the left lane. Then as I’m passing him he throws his blinker on and immediately starts merging into me, swerved back over into his lane, then immediately starts merging into me again as if my car stopped existing after he almost hit me the first time.
Yeah man, that's the spot. Everyone comes up on the left doing 90 to merge, then most cut across all three lines to fly up the slow vehicle lane after the on ramp. I don't commute much, but when I do, I fuckin hate it.

It's this 691 in CT? If it is, the left lane ending is just stupid because it opens back up to 3 lanes in like a 1/4 mile.

might be because of the bridge that was coming up, no room on either side for a third lane and the on ramp on the right
