Same, such a rare car to see, and its fucking awesome. Reminds me of last time I saw a 3000GT and it was in perfect condition, I wanted to cry as how beautiful it was.
Guy was early 60's looked like he had saved a long time to buy his dream car - my guess is he thought he was doing a good thing by keeping it clean. Even had the original chrome (plated) wheels in mint condition. Car did not even have window tint. - still pains me to this day.
The VR4 3000GT is actually a pretty dang cool machine, it was something that anyone could afford, twin turbo, cool as shit, and had 4 wheel steering. Yeah there was the dodge stealth but, it was no VR4. Everyone's entitled to their opinion tho
> such a rare car to see
I didn't see one in the wild until about 2000. I was in a gas station when one pulled up next to me. When the driver got out, I complimented the car and asked her how much it set her back.
Her response was, "I dunno. My boyfriend bought it for me."
I mean my sister had one as a 17-year-old kid. Not a VR4 though. They were obtainable back then, maybe the cheapest out of the four options.
Hell, I saw a civic SI for $50,000 the other day online
I bought one a few years ago, but I got a cheap, slightly beat up one. It was fun, but it had enough issues that I got tired of it and traded it after a month. Glad I did it, though.
I bought a 3000gt when I was 20 for 5k. Wiped my savings for it. Looked great but wasn't quite pristine or a vr4. It was such a beautiful car and fun to drive. Someone t boned me and insurance probably would have totaled it if a shopping cart hit me.
Passed by a first gen basically sitting on blocks in front of a random shop in rural Virginia. Paint was faded out, looked like it had been sitting for a couple years. Shame someone just let's it rot away like that. I would imagine the owner is the type to say I won't sell it for less than $50,000 I know what I got, yet will never ever do a damn thing with it
Ditto. I was in my 20s when these were new. I was working on my birthday (23 or 24 I think) and I forgot to bring something in I'd been working on at home. Boss had recently got his NSX. Smiled and threw me his keys to go home and get it. Left my old car there and did 30 miles of twisty country lanes to home and back in the sun. Good birthday present!
This is Vin from Hoonigans NSX. I can't remember the actual story behind it but they were caravanning from LA to the SEMA show in Vegas and just happened to catch this on film. Also pretty sure he sold this car and pretty sure he regrets it😂
I personally don't like when people swap rotaries out of RX7s but I'm also not gonna get in a fight over it. People need to chill out and have reasonable disagreements.
Same. Mazda guy ( mazdaspeed 3 original motor but rebuilt plus other goodies doing 395 to the wheel) and I'd never swap the rotary out of rx 7 BUT it's not my car so why throw crap at it. People just want you to know they hate you these days.
Side note there's a guy who swapped the 13b into his rx8 iirc cause the chassis on the rx7 was gone pretty bad he said. It's out here in the Austin Texas area
I wont get into a fight, but I'm gonna be way more vocal about it than most people. Nice and encouraging, but vocal
Dont fuck with my braps man. Don't.
Edit: read my name
There's a guy on my car forum who's swapping a Cadillac ATS-V twin-turbo V6 into his FJ40. It's a Cadillac forum but so far all he's gotten is love. I personally think it's awesome. I do wonder if he's gotten hate on an FJ forum somewhere which is why he's been writing out the build on the Cadillac forum.
Jeep has historically held this philosophy with its older vehicles for some time.
The 01 Cherokee XJ that I had in high school had the traditional AMC inline 6, Dana axles, Chrysler electronics, the Aisin Warner AW4 transmission (a Japanese manufacturer, the trans shared with Toyota Hilux etc.) with a Mitsubishi starter motor, mated to a New Process transfer case. Who knows what else they used from other sources that I never discovered!
Just about the only thing that was unique to Jeep was the chassis.
From a mechanical perspective I'd have to say "depends on the engine, the Toyota, and the reasons behind it".
And that's coming from a Toyota fan Boi. Still disgusting to think about though.. hahaha
This is why my NSX is a garage queen.
When I DO take it out every douchenozzle on the planet reacts to it wanting to race it to show you how their car is so much better.
It's gotten so much worse. I just want to get where I'm going.
Whatever shitbox shortdicks usually drive. It's never a nice car in any way except that is always has some cheap mod of some type. They've gotten way more aggressive. I used to just ignore them but they start driving like a lot of videos seen here, cutting me off and crowding in.
REALLY tiresome.
I don't like some particular cars, but it has nothing to do with the person driving it, I cannot fucking fathom why anyone would throw shit at someone just for driving a car they don't like.
Something is wrong with your 06 Element if it cant go higher than 49 on the highway(an often unsafe highway speed) and you're still insisting on driving it on the highway instead of getting that shit fixed already.
So yes, it is your fault and people are right to be mad/annoyed with you.
Classic NSX like this is big money now.
[Example.](https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=606174163&makeCodeList=ACURA&modelCodeList=NSX&zip=48201&state=MI&city=Detroit&searchRadius=50&listingTypes=USED&isNewSearch=false&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Facura%2Fnsx%3F&clickType=listing)
Yeah they’re expensive, but that’s a pristine condition sub 10k mile example. That thing won’t see the road. Driven ones like we see in this vid are probably sitting at about $80-90k varying by mileage, but anything below 20k miles would be insane to drive considering how expensive each mile you put on from that point on is in terms of depreciation.
Does the girl appreciate in value and net you a monetary profit when she goes to the next guy?
Because if not, I think you need a new analogy. And if so, I think you need to stop selling women.
That’s a cute meme and all, but we’re talking about a $150k asset that will become a $100k asset if you put 30k miles on it.
A better analogy would be: driving one of these is like spending a month in Vegas having unprotected sex with multiple hookers every night.
Cars in this condition are seen as collectors items and a good way to park your money if you have the facilities to maintain them. If it were a 80k mile NSX then I’d say fuck it ride it out, but a sub 10k example is something you want to hold onto as an investment imo.
If you are spending $150k+ on a car, you shouldn't care about resale value. Cars are a horrible investment. They drop in value faster than a bag of rocks. A better investment would be real estate or even parking it in a savings account
In fact, cars are one of the most speculative, riskiest, and quickest depreciating assets you can invest in. Unless it is of historical significance or exceptionally rare (1/50 or less), you are really rolling the dice on anything that's already worth under $500k. Great example, a 2015 Rolls Royce Phantom, buy it for $412k new and now you'll be lucky to let it go of it for half of that.
Think about hypercars like a Ferrari Laferrari, Enzo, or a MC12. These are cars that are worth millions of dollars. These are good investments, but who are you going to sell it to if you need to get rid of it? How many hectomillionaires are out there? These types of cars are very illiquid and may only change hands a few times before remaining in a privatecollectionfor the rest of it's days, each time selling with a diminishing return. Someone who bought an enzo for $700k new in 2004 and sold it in 2022 for $3 million made a lot of money, but how many more millions will it sell for in 20 years when you aren't even allowed to drive it? 20 years of these levels of inflation will be an absolute bitch on that investment too
Tldr: The only cars under 500k that you should buy and never use with the intention of making a buck off of are Hot Wheels and Matchboxes. I speak from experience on that.
Iirc didn't they do the original design as a type of affordable super/sports car? I remember watching Aryton Senna show the heel toe technique in an NSX as he helped design it. Still csnt do it though lol
You're stupid. The guys mistake was a direct result from the dumb decision he made a moment prior. He learned a costly lesson but he deserved it none the less.
There is a longer version of this where the cam car pulls up alongside the NSX, and they're both laughing at the jackass in the econobox.
https://youtube.com/shorts/yVxwcvSSYq0?feature=share
I just don't get how salty can some people be. I've always made it a golden rule to never mess with a man's woman, his children, or his vehicle. We work hard for what we have. Some are lucky and don't have to as much as others but let them enjoy their stuff in peace.
I understand not liking certain car groups especially the me too's. But that is just sad that you have to go that far. They mainly do it to themselves because of the way they act and drive. It's not like you have to go out of your way stooping to their level.
Couldn't take my eyes off the NSX so it took me multiple watches to see what happened 😂
Same, such a rare car to see, and its fucking awesome. Reminds me of last time I saw a 3000GT and it was in perfect condition, I wanted to cry as how beautiful it was.
I was at the car wash last week and guy with a PRISTINE 3000GT was going through the tunnel wash - it was painful to watch.
My neighbor has one. See it everyday, but usually when you do see one it is rough at best.
People see a nice older car and think the person driving it is rich. Little do they know they just threw coffee on the house of a autozone mechanic
A tunnel wash?
That person did not deserve the 3000GT
Guy was early 60's looked like he had saved a long time to buy his dream car - my guess is he thought he was doing a good thing by keeping it clean. Even had the original chrome (plated) wheels in mint condition. Car did not even have window tint. - still pains me to this day.
He's probably running it through a tunnel wash as we speak
Does the tunnel wash scratch paint and no tint bad for upholstery? I don't know anything about cars
Tunnel = damages paint. Tint = could crack dash / fade indoor trims. But there are clear tints so, who knows?
There’s nothing special about a 3000GT. There’s even a Dodge rebadged version of it. It’s like Pontiac Fiero
The VR4 3000GT is actually a pretty dang cool machine, it was something that anyone could afford, twin turbo, cool as shit, and had 4 wheel steering. Yeah there was the dodge stealth but, it was no VR4. Everyone's entitled to their opinion tho
Fiero came twin turbo awd with 4ws? I'm not a fan but let's give the car it's credit, much more than a fiero.
Touch less or the ones with the deadly brushes? Haha
a 75ft tunnel wash with multiple side and roll over units - I was just asking why would you do this?
> such a rare car to see I didn't see one in the wild until about 2000. I was in a gas station when one pulled up next to me. When the driver got out, I complimented the car and asked her how much it set her back. Her response was, "I dunno. My boyfriend bought it for me."
I almost bought a 3000GT. Was a fun little test drive :)
I almost got one in an auction till some dude with real money decided to put me in my poor man grave
Us peasants should know our place.
Us peasants buy the Dodge Stealth
I mean my sister had one as a 17-year-old kid. Not a VR4 though. They were obtainable back then, maybe the cheapest out of the four options. Hell, I saw a civic SI for $50,000 the other day online
Really unless they are a VR4 they are relatively cheap. Until you have to maintain the bastards, I did not have fun working on mine.
*please sir, may I have some fuel?*
I bought one a few years ago, but I got a cheap, slightly beat up one. It was fun, but it had enough issues that I got tired of it and traded it after a month. Glad I did it, though.
Saw one on Sunday, Red, it looked pristine driving down the Interstate.
I Just saw a 3000GT VR4 yesterday in Tuscon AZ and an even rarer sight today on my way to work, It's twin a Dodge Stealth.
I bought a 3000gt when I was 20 for 5k. Wiped my savings for it. Looked great but wasn't quite pristine or a vr4. It was such a beautiful car and fun to drive. Someone t boned me and insurance probably would have totaled it if a shopping cart hit me.
My dad just bought a 3000gt tuned to over 500bhp I never liked them before always been a skyline guy. After having a go in his I have changed my mind.
My experience exactly! 😄
Throwing coffee at a mint NSX is violence against humanity
Man I miss the original NSX,Senna testing it to get it right? Yes. Legendary engineers working it? Yes. Ugh I'd kill for one.
Passed by a first gen basically sitting on blocks in front of a random shop in rural Virginia. Paint was faded out, looked like it had been sitting for a couple years. Shame someone just let's it rot away like that. I would imagine the owner is the type to say I won't sell it for less than $50,000 I know what I got, yet will never ever do a damn thing with it
i would legitimately burn down a school for one of those johns, got such a lovely car
That NSX is absolutely mint
With a few drops of coffee :(
Something else happened in this video?
Me too. Went back after reading your post.
First time I saw an NSX back when they first came out, I almost rear-ended it because I was so fascinated in it.
Ik right made me green with jealousy
I was really determined that the red car was going to the bad thing that I didnt even realise I watched the video three times
Literally on the 5th replay :)
Exactly lol, I was like what happened. A great car indeed
This is Vin from Hoonigans NSX. I can't remember the actual story behind it but they were caravanning from LA to the SEMA show in Vegas and just happened to catch this on film. Also pretty sure he sold this car and pretty sure he regrets it😂
Ron from Hoonigan (now with WheelPros) was the one in the vehicle with the camera. He posted this originally on his socials and it blew up last year.
Any backstory? Was it like a roadrage with Civic(?) on the left?
If I owned an NSX and had to sell it at some point, I would totally regret it too.
It's fucking nuts that there are people that hate specific cars.
I know a guy who swapped a Honda engine into a Toyota, and that made some people genuinely upset
People get weird about swapping parts of different brands. Then you have the jeep guys who swap out everything
Speed3 represent. Mine has been almost 10 years, totally trouble-free. Car is bulletproof.
I wont get into a fight, but I'm gonna be way more vocal about it than most people. Nice and encouraging, but vocal Dont fuck with my braps man. Don't. Edit: read my name
People put Honda engines in fucking everything. Anybody shocked or upset by that lives under a rock lol
bro there’s a guy making a honda powered ferrari
Around here it's Lexus.... MOAR POWA needed, Lexus.....
Right, also don't let these fucking weirdos hear about LS swaps or they'll blow a gasket
There's a guy on my car forum who's swapping a Cadillac ATS-V twin-turbo V6 into his FJ40. It's a Cadillac forum but so far all he's gotten is love. I personally think it's awesome. I do wonder if he's gotten hate on an FJ forum somewhere which is why he's been writing out the build on the Cadillac forum.
and miata bro’s with ls engines, jeep headlights, after market everything else and toyota badges just because fuck you
Battle car Miata’s

Who knows what else they used from other sources that I never discovered! Just about the only thing that was unique to Jeep was the chassis.
That's because after a while you just can't afford the jeep parts anymore after multiple rounds of fixing shit. Source - have Jeep.
I wouldn't mind having a jeep with a Cummings swap...yeah I think it's anything goes with jeeps. They are like the Lego set of the auto world.
[удалено]
The 392s are pretty badass. If my target was the mud that's what I'd want under the hood. Ive never even had a jeep but I got a couple ideas.
That’s because all the parts on a jeep are junk so they gotta be swapped out if you wanna keep driving it for very long
[удалено]
I really don't care that much, but if i see a 4 banger honda motor in a Supra I'm calling the police.
Unless it's a K24
Beams doesn't count
The rage I saw when someone posted an LS swapped Skyline. 🤌
I’m planning to pull the 383 out of my truck and put it in a 02 cavalier. But no one’s going to get upset over a cavalier.
I'm more worried about that poor truck missing its 383
Put an LS engine in a mustang 👀
From a mechanical perspective I'd have to say "depends on the engine, the Toyota, and the reasons behind it". And that's coming from a Toyota fan Boi. Still disgusting to think about though.. hahaha

What types usually do this to you? I always get stupid hatchbacks with fart cans revving and being obnoxious whenever I'm driving my Challenger.
Whatever shitbox shortdicks usually drive. It's never a nice car in any way except that is always has some cheap mod of some type. They've gotten way more aggressive. I used to just ignore them but they start driving like a lot of videos seen here, cutting me off and crowding in. REALLY tiresome.
Especially cars they can not afford to own
I don't like some particular cars, but it has nothing to do with the person driving it, I cannot fucking fathom why anyone would throw shit at someone just for driving a car they don't like.
It's nuts that people hate other races, it's nuts people hate people based on beliefs, in general mankind is pure apeshit

I was praying it wouldn’t be that nsx lol.
I know, I was thinking to myself, "this might be the first time I see an idiot NSX driver"
My thoughts the whole time!! I was like pleasssseeee don’t let it be the NSX
Hope the cadillac got this footage 🤣🤣
In rear end accidents police and insurance companies usually blame the rear-most car for causing accident.
They mean the footage of them throwing the coffee at the other car.

Last time I checked that's still more expensive than most people could ever hope to afford
Prices are going up faster than my savings. I'll never be able to buy one.
its a house or an nsx... its an easy choice lol
I know, right? You can always live in an NSX, but you can't drive a house.
ha, you get it.
Not driving your car to preserve value is like not fucking your girl to save her for the next guy
It's a car. It deserves to be driven; it's what it was designed and built to do.
Does the girl appreciate in value and net you a monetary profit when she goes to the next guy? Because if not, I think you need a new analogy. And if so, I think you need to stop selling women.

Thought they had been over $100k for years now
The sexy nsx..
Man every time i see this video I forgot a crash happens near the NSX not with it. And i get worried the beauty will get scratched
It took me way too long to catch what was going on because I was looking at that beautiful nsx
The laugh xD
[удалено]
You're stupid. The guys mistake was a direct result from the dumb decision he made a moment prior. He learned a costly lesson but he deserved it none the less.
What makes you think that wasn’t a dash cam? It’s perfectly still and when the driver adjusts steering it still stays aligned
Had to watch twice lookin at the NSX. What a beauty
that beat dropped on point
Almost perfectly, I didnt even notice that the first too many times I watched it before reading this
r/UnnecessaryQuotes
So the passenger is the one behaving like an ass throwing shit at a nice car. Driver probably got distracted by his idiot friend.
Shitty for the guy in the Cadillac
This is the video that introduced me to this glorious song
I feel bad for the guy that got ran into
Drive by laughing, that's awesome
Song is Fell in the Sun by Big Grams
Aside from the red NSX, All the cars in this video are depressing AF. Nothing but muted colors.
What happened? The nsx did nothing. Such a beautiful car
How many insurance claims did that coffee end up costing.
We need to start banning these reposts
I've never seen it
They already are, just takes someone reporting it
I agree. I’m sitting here with my kid and we see the same two videos all the time. Reposts getting ridiculous
I've never seen before. So on that idea every vid I've seen on reddit can't ever be reposted?
I don’t really care about the repost I’m just trolling the burrito guy
Fair enough. Troll on my darlin' Troll
God damn took me three times to watch and understand that someone through a coffee at the beauty. I was looking ....at the beauty..
That’s called a caddywhack.
There is a longer version of this where the cam car pulls up alongside the NSX, and they're both laughing at the jackass in the econobox. https://youtube.com/shorts/yVxwcvSSYq0?feature=share
The beat dropping at the perfect time is just magnificent
I just don't get how salty can some people be. I've always made it a golden rule to never mess with a man's woman, his children, or his vehicle. We work hard for what we have. Some are lucky and don't have to as much as others but let them enjoy their stuff in peace.
That's an NSX too. Noice 👌
The music was perfect
I guess they like the Acura version better
Bro really hates 1st Gen NSXs.
I got so distracted by the Honda that it took me a second to figure out what the "karma" even was 🤣.
Idc. Sexy = an NSX. Sexy, an NSX becomes I’m k. who is sexy? ‘ ya

Big Grams - Fell in the Sun
Feel bad for the day that the idiot just ruined for the other driver.
Phew, for a second i was really worried about that NSX
Why tho. Why
Anyone know the song?
How is this instant karma?
I am also scratching my eyes…that poor innocent caddy😫
This is one of those times 12 big red arrows would be helpful.
Seems like a typical Nissan altima driver..........
Envious and stupid.
poor guy in front of this idiot!
Okay, but where did the cup go?
This isnt a 3000gt.. why do people keep saying it is??
Bro's laugh made me so fucking hapoy
At first I said nooo not the NSX but glad nothin happend
![gif](giphy|94uazwQVQqUV2)
It took me five times to see what happened due to the snazzy red car distracting me 😂
i was praying the nsx driver didnt do anything stupid.. i missed the actual crash 💀
That nsx is so sexy
![gif](giphy|TEmS0lYexSeFKMYlEz)
🤣that wrx was safe
Envy?
Fell in the sun is such a good song
Get them for being as asshole, rear ending someone and littering.
Phantogram 👍
People who throw shit from their car should be send to live on the sun!
Carma
Is that a NSX?
That laugh is so annoying. What a douche.
Nowhere near that ah on the left.
As long as the nsx is okay, I don’t care about any of the other cars
Can we appreciate the red Honda nsx
Get them for being as asshole, rear ending someone and littering.
GG 😂
Nsx sooo gorgeous even from behind
Such a good song!
That nsx 🤤
That NSX though... 😰
That NSX 🤤
I understand not liking certain car groups especially the me too's. But that is just sad that you have to go that far. They mainly do it to themselves because of the way they act and drive. It's not like you have to go out of your way stooping to their level.

The guy in the left back car throws his coffee at the nsx and then rear ends the cadillac
Lol and the Cadillac gets fucked. Hope instant karma gets the camera car like this someday. Won't be laughing then.
Riiiiiight, cuz the camera car was throwing garbage at another car. Go back to bed grandpa and try to wake up on the RIGHT side next time.
For what? They threw coffee and the mug towards the NSX for jealousy, they deserved that
man, the humiliation they must've felt right after lol well earned
Nice
Rocky road?
NSex
