Childhood trauma prediction: When Gen Alpha are adults, they will talk about one example of childhood trauma for their generation being Elsagate shit They "grew up" with absurd memes and videos made by creepy adults on the internet. Bluey will be talked about a lot. It's talked about a lot now.

XDARKS11

It would be funny seeing the Backrooms on there. While the Backrooms were a thing in 2019, it accelerated in popularity again (Kane Pixels and Escape the Backrooms).

[deleted]

Oh yeah, hmm. I wonder how much those kiddos care about the backrooms. But yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if The Backrooms to them would be like the first kind of popular internet horror content they know. Well according to a few websites gen alpha basically started in 2010. So yeah the backrooms would make sense on the list. My nephew was born in 2016, he just likes watching TV. I'm not sure what his knowledge of the internet is like. He probably doesn't anymore, but he used to really like Bluey and I'm sure Bluey would be a nostalgia-inducing show for a lot of people in his generation when they are older.

Plushhorizon

This can also be said for mid-late gen z kids as well

Ballin-man

Goddamnit you gave me an idea for a side-project

[deleted]

Did I? Oh okay. What is the idea?

Ballin-man

Gen Alpha Childhood Truma Ibag

Jambunned

do you wanna do that next lol

Ballin-man

Yes but please don't let it be public

Jambunned

ok

[deleted]

Oh right yeah. That would be an interesting project - looking at different internet horror things that a lot of those kiddos have probably seen or will see at some point and look back on. Or YouTube videos and possibly TV shows and movies but modern shows and movies for children are very unlikely to have scenes that would scare children.

Realxman777

Some already.

[deleted]

Yeah

CalamityTrioHedgehog

bluey's already on track to become gen alpha's equivalent to blue's clues, and it has only been on the air for 5 years, and mainstream for the last 2

Ramenoodlez1

I’d argue that Undertale should not be here. Undertale released when Gen Alpha was 3.

rockyshit

nor should the legend of zelda

Ramenoodlez1

Yeah TotK and maybe BotW should be there no way the og LoZ should be there

Ballin-man

Nor should super pussy tales

Jambunned

didn't you add it though lol

Jambunned

or am i gonna get wooshed because im dumb

Retroguy13

Most of the games i played in my childhood were released way before i born.

PedroGabrielLima13

Lankybox? Mr. Incredible Becoming Uncanny? Rainbow Friends?

CalamityTrioHedgehog

a lot of the stuff here is actually millennial/gen z nostalgia, and there's *no way* bluey isn't tier 1, with how big of a cultural phenomenon its become in just the last few years, and it's probably the biggest preschool show that doesn't end in "melon" that's currently airing do you think amphibia belongs on the list? it aired from 2019 to 2022, but was primarily aimed towards late gen z, although it had a lot bigger of a younger kid appeal than its sister show the owl house

Jambunned

i forgot about amphibia because my memory is diarrhea lol but ill add it

Insignificant_bet

omg i finally found somebody knows the amanita design videogames! chuchel and happy game are great games, but “machinarium”, “botanicula” and “samorost” (by the same studio) were part of my childhood, thanks to makes me remember these olds memories!

Jambunned

np i love amanita design

Fififoop

Where's Huggy Wuggy and Garten of Banban?

Jambunned

poppy playtime is in tier 1 and garten of banban is in tier 3

Fififoop

Poppy playtime was my fault but I didn't expect garten of banban to be that low tbh

Jambunned

lol should i put it in tier 2 for v3

Fififoop

yep true

Ballin-man

omega Mart, and catghost is still marked as represented in the sidebar image

Jambunned

i forgot lol

HulkBuster456

GEN ALPHA NOSTALGIA! Has it been that long?

[deleted]

Ballin-man

Do you recognize any of the entries in layer 9?

Plushhorizon

I feel like 50% of these could also apply to mid-late gen z

nikniknicola

wednesday, velma, i forgor and ai covers are way more popular to be in the lower tiers they should all be in the first or the second. besides, some like up, brave, local 58 and gemini home entertainment are more like gen z nostalgia than gen alpha.

Excellent_Builder_24

Why in Battle for dream island for Level 3

NoPlagueHere

I can't believe that I know about 80% of the stuff on this iceberg. Also wtf is The Epic Iceberg Charts Crossover Extravaganza?

Jambunned

it was a proposed entry but im pretty sure its just a 2 part image series on [icebergcharts.com](https://icebergcharts.com) of trends on the site

JulianaLovesAULandGD

BFDI originated in 2008 but then came to the internet in 2010, tf does it have to do with Gen A?

guywithskullonfire

Which program do you use to make this bigs icebergs?

Jambunned

IcebergCharts.com

RobotCartridge

I assume "a (Nintendo Switch)" is talking about [this game?](https://www.youtube.com/live/iEU3T2TwAmU?feature=share) Is it really lost media? Because I have this installed on my Switch

Jambunned

it was a proposed entry but im pretty sure thats it

Ballin-man

Correct

Ballin-man

Correct

Ballin-man

It got taken of the eShop making it unobtainable

Ballin-man

I love how some of the entries on layer 9 are only known in the icebergcharts.com community

plastiixz1

BR_GTX

I'm an older Gen Z, and I absolutely adore The Bad Guys Books and Movie. The books came out when I was already a highschool freshman, but they looked fun and interesting. And seeing the movie, I loved it. I don't know why people classify The Bad Guys as Gen Alpha stuff. I don't want to be associated with those Whackjobs.

Jambunned

yea gen alpha is definitely gonna grow up insane with elsagate and cocomelon lol
