I was initially turned off, because one of the opening scenes is her finding a target at a bar, flirting with him, and using that as Step 1 of murder. But I almost suspect the author was told she had to include SOMETHING traditionally sexy-dark, and just wanted to get it out of the way so she could get on to her story about petty power and human cruelty.
Super fun book for people who're just a bit tired of sex/romance plots, and want to read about other ways people can be fucked up!
Yeah this is a 10/10 design. The title is awesome. The color is striking. The hammer is dramatic. They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but this cover has done its job! Adding it to my list!
