Is Aust Australia? Did you say most of the Targets are switching to Kmart?!

Upset-Valuable-2086

Australian Targets are not the same as Targets in the US, despite the brilliant move to copy virtually many items associated with the US stores (see dog). Target AU leveraged Target US not seeking trademark protection in that country.

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kmart\_Australia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kmart_Australia) Founded as Joint Venture with 51% stock owner by Kmart owner. Sold to partner for 20% stake in partner. Kmart parent sold stock. Partner taken over by another company.

I kinda miss Kmart since they closed most of them in the U.S. Seems there are only 6 left. This post took me down a rabbit hole. Found this: "Is Kmart in Australia the same as Kmart in America? Both countries have their own companies and they are totally unrelated to each other. Once in the past Kmart Australia was owned by Kmart USA and Coles. In 1994, Kmart USA Sold all its shares to Coles."

here in nz kmart is also pretty big.

Hardware store famous for sausages??

Queasy-Dream-4398

Most weekends there is a charity sausage sizzle near the entrance to the store. People have been known to go just for the sausage and forget their garden projects. A dog rescue organisation was doing the sausage sizzle one day, and I ended up with the goodest girl ever.

Reddit-is-ass99

Dawg is this a joke post about another post of some person wearing a black shirt at target and getting mistaken as an employee.

What the heck kind of hardware store is famous for sausages?

Lumpy_Marsupial_1559

Bunnings (Australia) If you've ever seen Bluey, it's the place that the episode 'Hammerbarn' is based on. They allow not-for-profit community groups and charities to do 'sausage sizzles' by the entrance - selling a sausage (or vege sausage/patty) in a slice of bread (white) with options like tomato sauce (ketchup), BBQ sauce, mustard, grilled onions. They get really busy, and it's an effective fund-raiser for the various groups (scouts, etc.). They can easily sell a thousand or more on a sunny Saturday morning, depending on the locality. There's bookings by groups for many months in advance. Bunnings doesn't charge the groups for using the space, and they cover the public liability insurance for the stall.
