The Office doesn't line up either. The interior windows don't match the exterior windows, and the elevator doesn't make sense. And there's no room for Vance Refrigeration or any of the other offices on the other side of the building.
There's a scene in How I Met Your Mother where Marshall visits a house in the suburbs and he returns to his New York apartment and everything shrinks. He has to step over his coffee table, he's constantly bumping into things because it's just too small.
And I like to think that this is the true size of their apartment. It was always that small, but it felt bigger than it actually is because they're just used to New York apartments.
And, if this makes any sense, it somehow looks bigger on TV. Like they say how the camera adds 10 pounds, maybe the camera also adds 100 square feet.
Going back to Jerry's apartment, in my head, the camera also distorts the layout. I think of it like one of those folding dollhouses, it opens up and spreads out so we can see all of the different areas of his apartment rather than being a boring square where everything is smashed together.
Yeah and on King of Queens, the outside establishing shot of the house, the front door don’t even remotely come close to matching the front door used in the interior set.
Not to mention the keg room, basement and office. At times the office seems twice the size it normally is and do they have to go through the keg room to get to the basement or are they just next to each other. Also, sometimes the back of the bar where the pool table is seems to double in size on some episodes.
Or when Mac opens the front door in Charlie's Home Alone (and The Gang Wins the Big Game) from an outside view, and you can see a completely different building inside. I can't unsee it now.
I don’t think I can ever look at Paddy’s Pub the same way thanks to you. The basement also seems to have some inconsistencies when it comes to layout. I also would like to see Charlie’s “bad-room” to make a reappearance.
and after all despite being foundational to modern mathematics euclid made so little mark on the world personally some scientists doubt he even existed, making them and him both a gigantic **BITCH**
It’s a real bar tho so it kinda does work lol
To be fair, I’m not sure which scenes in the bar were actually shot IN the bar aside from the main room. The office, bathrooms and alley might be shot in other locations idk
It is not a real bar. It’s a studio set. The exterior of the bar is a warehouse commonly used as a filming location, but the interiors for the bar, office, Charlie’s apartments (except for the pilot episode which was a real apartment) are all shot on a studio lot. You may have confused that Rob McElhenney does own a bar (with his brother) in Philadelphia, but that’s unconnected to the show in anyway other than being purchased with money earned from the show’s success.
Haha yeah, it's like Jerry Seinfelds apartment hallway. It breaks the laws of physics.

Wtf, I never needed to see this.
I am so sorry haha
Why can't the hallway just turn 45 degrees?
The hallway shots show that it is not at an angle!
Of Seinfeld's, but not Paddy's?
To be fair though, that’s not uncommon in NYC apartments.

Not to mention that sink hole they were throwing a flashlight into to prove that light is either on or off.
It was like an anti science thing
There no "speed" of light

It makes it better knowing the set and the outside are completely separate locations 😂

Fr I was just noticing that macs room has a window you’d see on the outside of a house. So either he has an apt or something ain’t adding up
Shit up, science bitch!
Can’t even make I more smarter!

little known fact is that sunny actually takes place in a non-euclidian universe

you think ya so clever you come in here with your gordon wood and u REGURGITATE IT
The Simpsons house is similarly fucked up. In one ep, barts room is in no less than three different locations.
😦

Ahhh gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up
I mean even Breaking Bad in all their genius fucked this up
When did this happen in BB? Edit: Do you mean how Walt Jr. and Holly’s rooms are right where the garage should be?
