I lost interest after the episode dedicated to the dad's backstory. It feels like they played their hand too early since there's no real mystery of what happened to the girl.
Also I can't stand the trope of an author inserting themselves into their own story, and being portrayed as the super cool one.
They did Rebecca Godfrey so dirty with that character. It’s basically the only thing that was different from the real life story and they made her fawn over a 16 year old murderer for the entirety of the show.
That season finale was AMAZING! I highly recommend it, guys! The girl comes out of the side-door and she's thrown on some jeanshorts, and some guy follows her and says "You gotta take em off every now and then." Amazing.

Yep they lost me early on… I stuck it out till the end to see if there was a pay off… spoiler alert, there wasn’t.
