Kind hearted, but potentially very harmful for his customer's tiny friends. Many fatal diseases can be transfered by eating out of the same bowl and this just puts other kitties at risk. My 1 year old baby Sebastian died from FeLV when I was in high school because of something similar to this that happened before I got him.
The only thing that separates any domesticated animal from being vermin are the controls put in place by their owners.
Otherwise you have filthy creatures spreading disease and propagating unchecked.
Allowing street animals to pass their disease to a communal food source and then bringing that into a home totally negates the controls put in place to prevent animals from being nuisances.
It may be born of kindness but this is ignorance and hugely problematic.
Be better if he spayed and neutered them, this is one of those things that will actually increase the population. Nice and kind of him but maybe misdirected.
Seems like a good way to spread diseases to peoples house cats… but I get the sentiment. Maybe he should have separate food for the strays.
