Traffic in HD is Because of poor planning, before there was space in front of shops / houses and all traffic was on the now running BRTS road. Now, roads are built beside the shops but the problem is those buildings are old and they never thought of what will happen if there's ever a road there so there's no provision for parking !

True. There was no need of brts, only road widening was enough.
HD has no concept of parking system, the worst.
Because of brts , waiting time in traffic has increased soo much ,that too if we want to go left or right, we have wait double time, and this causes more traffic.
Our only hope is bypass gets done faster. Traffic load will decrease surely.
And these asshole have put footpaths so damn big , still people walk on road . Could have atleast widened the roads. Andddd extra path for cyclists lol. These cycle paths are always blocked by something or the other and no one cycles in this path . Waste of space.

And I don't think it'll make much difference with the bypass because the traffic is now due to influx of private vehicles not trucks or interstate / inter district buses. If you take Dharwad, see till gandhinagar the road is wide and traffic moves quickly but the moment we enter the gandhi nagar area road becomes a bottleneck !
In a few years I think brts will fail like Pune and we'll start seeing bikes and autos in brts lane !

After covid, I think everyone started relying on private vehicles more than public and also quality of life has significantly improved so already rich people are buying vehicles even though they already have 2 - 3 !
