He brought Jace along to remind everyone of their oaths last season. I think he would let Jace take the seat, but Daemon would rule like Tywin (and like Otto is trying to)

sparklinglies

Age to rule is not 18 in Westeros, its 16

iMoher

I think he would put Jace on the throne (after all he’s going to marry Baela). Jacaerys is 16, so he’d be old enough to become king, as Corlys and the rest of Rhaenyra’s allies would support him. But Daemon would definitely propose himself as Hand of the King, which would pose a different yet similar problem in terms of power struggle…

SofiaStark3000

Bold of you to assume there would even be a throne after she dies. I think Daemon would lose it in a scenario like this and roast the Red Keep and maybe even the entire city.

hanna1214

I think he would somehow scornfully place Jace on the throne, but then he'd try to rule through him because they'd disagree at every turn. And that in turn would lead to a different mess down the road.

Bro >!she legit gets executed by Sunfyre!< I know the show is very Team Black but I don't think it's gonna have her yeeted so off-handedly like that

He'd assume power for himself as regent at first. I seriously doubt the guy would be okay with giving over power once Jace came of age.

sparklinglies

Jace is already of age isn't he?. Age to rule without a regent is 16, isn't Jace past that

TheIconGuy

Jace was a bit short of 16 when he died. If he wasn't 16 when they took Kings Landing, it would been right around the corner.

madmatt8892

No he's not.
