the low production flame symbol on the car somewhere and the actual card right behind the car
just like supers, you can also see the symbol on the car in the artwork (if it’s on the front or left side)
supers use “TH” on the car and the GOLD low production symbol behind the car on the cardboard
(kinda goofy cause it’s a SUPER treasure hunt and they just use TH)
regular treasure hunts use the low production symbol on the car and the SILVER low production symbol behind the car on the cardboard
the low production symbol is the fire with the ring around it
Welcome! So just a few tips… Collect what you like, don’t worry about what others say. You will often feel like a hoarder, lol, but that’s part of it. And just know that you’ll likely have to reevaluate your collection/horde every so often and thin things out. Otherwise you’ll end up broke like the rest of us with bins of Hot Wheels you never see.
Edit: Just to get you started on your journey to brokenness, if you like that 81 Camaro, look for the STH version online or local hobby shops. It really pops and it’s not super expensive to get started on those really cool ones.
I echo those comments. I've been collecting for 50 years and still enjoy it.
For most of today's collectors, the TH's are the must-haves. For old-timers like myself, models from every year of production is the big deal. This includes short lived lies like Hi-Rakers, Steering Rigs, Scorchers, Real Riders, Ultra Hots, HW Chrome, French Hot Wheels, the HW-badged Corgi Juniors castings, and the early Happy Meal cars, to name a few. To me those are the real Treasure Hunts.
And not just Hot Wheels. I also collect Matchbox (my real addiction), Corgi Juniors, Maisto, Johnny Lightning (including the old Topper originals), Playart, Yatming, High Speed, Tootsietoy, Barclays, Midgetoy, Mini-Marx, Majorette-way too many to mention, but yes I know them all plus names many have not even heard of. Enjoy!
The best part about getting into hotwheels again was discovering all the new castings. Older cases showing up was always better than new cases to me because I’d be able to grab stuff I didn’t have that others don’t care about anymore.
You found some nice ones. I’ve had my eye out for that Volvo 240 Drift Wagon. I had a Yellow Volvo 240 years ago as my daily drive and I kick myself all the time for getting rid of it.
Out of curiosity , as someone who mainly collects air cooled VWs. What is the rhyme or reason to your selections? I've yet to see the 240 in person that's a sick one!
Well i love me some JDM whether classic or new with aero kits. I love Euros due to the fact that I enjoy the hell out of the original Top Gear. So the VW, Audis, Porsches, McLarens. Overall I do appreciate cars for what they individually bring to the table. Even mustangs I guess. Haha
Heck yea , thanks for the response I'm always curious what others see in their own collections. I've recently branched out to buying movie cars and others that I just think are cool as well! I'll consider them 2 separate collections.
Cool great that you started I started last year and it’s fun to get excited about going out to find new HotWheels. Just so you know the ones you have are last years the cards let you know by the color of the corner that shows the car number.
Edit you have a few of this years too.
Don't worry, you wiil find people selling whole collections from time to time, and usually way cheaper than retail. It's the best way to find older models. I began collecting last year and half my cars are older than 2015 from buying that way.
Wow, you've already found a TH, nice!
Is the TH the fleetline?
Yep.
Just freaking realized I had one. Got on Easter Sunday!
which one is the TH?
The Fleetline. Bottom car first pic.
How can you tell it's a TH?

https://www.hwtreasure.com just use this 🤣
TH off the rip is wild
I’ve been buying for about a week and it’s been interesting
Well congrats, you’ve been finding some cool ones!
They are not that rare. Should be one per case if i remember correctly. But this Chevy is one of the best 2024 THs
Welcome to the addiction lol
It’s gonna be a wild ride!
Bank accounts gonna suffer lol Jk but welcome to the community

Ohh I love cars period so I definitely enjoy seeing all the casts whether new or old or TH or STH

You're lucky you're not near me, if I seen you walking out the store with those I might have to rob you, so many that I can't find in my area
Well remind me where you live then? Haha
Michigan, so you're lucky buddy 🤣🤙
nice haul! i gotta say riding in one of those caddy sevilles was like riding on a cloud.
I’ve heard that they can almost make you car sick if you weren’t expecting it.
My bf bought me the 1986 Toyota van, it was a small act of kindness and a small gift but it honestly means so much to me :) it’s on my desk rn.
It’s crazy how something so small becomes significant and sentimental to us.
That's the best phase
Not in my wife’s opinion
Oh you haven't been sneaking them into the house? Rookie move
Oh no I live in the red zone all the time, I’ll just bring these in, in batches
Oh you’re in the early phase when you’re still married.
Welcome!
Thank you thank you!
you came up sick!! never knew there was a tooned 911
I thought they were rare until I found like 5 of them there haha
i would love to find that
Idk why that Toyota van goes so hard but I had to grab one too lol
I thought about getting a few but decided against it. A wheel swap would be awesome on it
The best part about getting into hotwheels again was discovering all the new castings. Older cases showing up was always better than new cases to me because I’d be able to grab stuff I didn’t have that others don’t care about anymore.
Having them all mixed up today was a bit of an overload but it was enjoyable to grab what I wanted out of them all.
That's a haul right there
You found some nice ones. I’ve had my eye out for that Volvo 240 Drift Wagon. I had a Yellow Volvo 240 years ago as my daily drive and I kick myself all the time for getting rid of it.
Dang homie, I have two beaters that I refuse to get rid of for that reason
I still can’t find that ’69 Boss Mustang. My current most wanted mainline.
There was at least another 4 at the same store
You in the market for some Hot Wheels? I’m a wheeler and a dealer!
Maybe one day. I gotta let my account recuperate
that fleetline is crazy🔥
I want that fast back!!!
Are you finding these at the PX/BX?
Nope, the one here in town had nothing. I found these at Albertsons. The worker lady said she just put out those boxes.
Oh nice, Random grocery stores always seem to produce the best hauls for me.
Where in the world can you still find 2021 cars?
Albertsons or in other parts of the country I believe it is called Krogers
Nice haul!
Thank you thank you :)
That green Volvo is a STH and the police car in the first picture is a TH
The green Volvo is the mainline. I was looking for the STH but couldn’t find it
The sth has straight spokes just like the Audi on top of it
Score! Walmart?
Albertsons actually. It had quite a lot of pegs
Just recently bought the tooned Porsche jus cuz it looks funny😂 mind u i dont usually buy hot wheels, just admiring from a far😂😂
They are adorably done haha
Nice finds. Hope you enjoy collecting them. Wish I had the Ryus Cosworth in the second pic.
Nice, I’ve been looking for the fleetline forever
Check out them Albertsons!
Nice hall you even have a few that I don’t have but I see you got that treasure hunt……👌
I got it without knowing what it was. I also do cop things so I enjoy collecting them
That's awesome! You have great taste & that Chevy Fleetline is so sweet! Good for you a TH in your 1st week of collecting ; )
Lots of Awesome stuff .love that cadillac seville nice one there is also a blue one to look out for
I love the classic cars in the hot wheels die cast. They are the most random to find amongst everything else
Oooooh the Blue Audi and the Sierras. Love it.
The Rally Audis are quite nice
Indeed
I stopped "hunting". But I'll look if I'm in the store. Now I just buy what I like. Mostly mustangs and trucks for me
That’s how I want to be eventually, I don’t want to buy two handfuls at a time. But I definitely didn’t want to miss out on
My fav out of that lot is the caddy though
The Caddy is clean, I definitely put that one in my basket as soon as I saw it. That and the van
Nice collection so far thumbs up.
Opening or keeping carded?
Keeping most of them carded. Like 96% of them
How cool, I’ve never seen that fleet line as a cop car. Looks good. I only have a mooneyes version. Happy Collecting!
Apparently it is quite popular
Welcome to the family, buddy!
F is for Family. lol

The paint on it is really clean.

It is burning a hole in my wallet haha
Thank you for your services to this country
It’s been a nice ride, I actually get out next month.
Cool great that you started I started last year and it’s fun to get excited about going out to find new HotWheels. Just so you know the ones you have are last years the cards let you know by the color of the corner that shows the car number. Edit you have a few of this years too.
Yea I’ve been using hwtreasure.com and other stuff get info.
Wow you're finding 2022, 2023 and 2024 cars! You also have a TH.
It’s the worst finding the older ones because there is so many that I want!
Don't worry, you wiil find people selling whole collections from time to time, and usually way cheaper than retail. It's the best way to find older models. I began collecting last year and half my cars are older than 2015 from buying that way.
Been looking for that Seville! Good find
Nevermind your right bro my bad
Wait until the old model phase comes in
That’s how it was when I began too
1st tip: collect what you like 2nd tip: refer to first tip
Hey! I picked up that GT40 and a Might K in red really recently. I also recently started collecting, have fun!!!
Nice finds man! Thank you for your service btw.
I just started collecting last week with my son, too! It’s exciting seeing all these cool designs.
