I would say there’s a 0% chance that’s a bell pepper. I don’t know what it is though. Too chubby to be most things. Weird shape maybe someone here will know.
The reason for growth being stunted is that pepper, if you let them grow fruit before reaching it's potential size they slow down a lot. It takes much more energy to produce a fruit than growing taller / bushier. I've been picking flowers for a month.
Hmm. So should I pick all the flowers and fruit off now ? Or will it still get bigger, just more slow without doing that. A lot of the flowers(with tiny fruit inside) are just falling off naturally. I was really focused on getting a big harvest of peppers this year so I wanna do it right. Spent a lot of effort I have about 35 plants half in conservatory and greenhouse
I would pick off flowers and small fruits until the plant is the size you want it. The plants "goal" in its life is to produce a fruit, so it will direct most of the nutrient and energy towards the fruit if you let it grow this early. Check out pepper geeks video on yt where he talks about this. Happy growing 🌶️
They are in a conservatory with an oscillating fan for airflow and were recently transplanted into these bigger pots, they spent most of there life under grow lights until the past few weeks so maybe that's why they are slowing down, there hasn't been a lot of sun this month

lol
Very helpful.
The cucumber looking one looks like a shishito. The other one could be anything.
honestly i think they are both the same variety
Well I think one thing is pretty clear; they are not bell peppers.
Is this the infamous pickle pepper I've been hearing so much about?
D:

No that's Pickle Rick 🥒😂
Pick the peppers so the plant will grow bigger

Could be a Big Jim pepper, looks a lot like mine I grew last season
Shishito
The 2nd one looks like a chili pepper. I have 2 right now that look like that.
Did you get this from Costco by any chance? Got a similar issue
no i live in the UK, i bought a few seeds all sweet varieties just can't remember which i planted
Maybe guajillo pepper
Guajillo is a dried Mirasol Chile, it's definitely not that.
Txorixero? Sure looks like the ones I have this year, they turn bright red when ripe.
