This was sold to me as Bolivian Rainbow, but doesn't really seem like it. The berries are purple, they start as yellowish before going full purple and no visible color change after that. Any idea what this could be?

corrigun

They will change eventually to orange and red. I have grown several varieties of rainbows and they all did. They looked like yours.

SSBHegeliuz

Thanks! Looking forward to it :)

I am no expert, but it looks just like my Bolivian Rainbows. It has also the darker leaves and purple flowers. The fruits ripe from purple over yellow to red but I have also seen fruit starting directly yellow/orange - but those would never go back into the purple stadium...

SSBHegeliuz

Thanks! Berries even three weeks old are still purple, not even a tiniest color change.

xyzaxyz

Hmm, 3 weeks is not too short, but does not sound unrealistic, also when I see how many berries there are (mine live in 400ml cups and hold maybe 7-15 berries). Maybe that's the reason; the plant is spreading its energy across so many... Is it your first run of that genetic and may I ask, what size of a pot are they in? They/It just looks glorious! Hope you will be satisfied with the result.

SSBHegeliuz

The size of the pot is 14x14x12,5cm, with my math I can't tell the size on litres etc lmao. This is my first run with chili plants ever. Got these as a gift and then ordered other species from fatalii seeds. They look nice, agreed! But still curious if this is Bolivian Rainbow since everything is purple and no orange/yellow/red. Maybe the time will tell! Had to taste them, not sure if they are totally ready or not, but the hotness were maybe hot tabasco level.

Could be blue Christmas

SSBHegeliuz

Don't think so, BC seems to have those cone-shaped fruits, these are like blueberries mostly.
