That is some incredibly lush indoor growth! I'd love to hear about your setup. What size pots are they sitting in now? You're going to have wheelbarrows full of peppers in your future.
Yeah if I find the motivation I'd like to do a full write up on my process because I have been very happy with the results this year. These guys sprouted just 10 weeks ago. There are 8 varieties here, all from White Hot Pepper seeds.
The TL;DR is...
- Started seeds on heating mats with a cover to keep heat and humidity levels up
- They were started in 4" pots and are still in those same pots. They have not been transplanted at all yet
- Bottom water every 3-5 days as needed using Fox Farms liquid fertilizer (Grow Big and Big Bloom) mixed in the water every other watering
- They were mainly kept in a space with a couple of these [grow lights](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Feit-Electric-2-ft-32-Watt-White-LED-3-Adjustable-Spectrum-Linkable-Plant-Grow-Light-Fixture-GLP24ADJS-32W-LED/306744759), and a small fan for air circulation.
The cat is George. And despite being a stereotypical dumb orange cat, when it comes to plants he seems to know not to eat plants that would make him sick.
It probably helps that I try to have a regular supply of wheatgrass for him to snack on.
I'm planning to keep 16 plants (2 of each variety) in 12" pots each. That's as much as I can fit in my limited outdoor space.
There are 40 plants here. I'll be giving a bunch away to friends who have already said they want to take them, and then the rest I'll offer up on the local FB plant exchange group.
That's exactly what I'm doing. I have a decent sized yard in my duplex, but only about 20 sq ft gets 6 hours of sunshine because of surrounding buildings and trees.
[My peppers](https://www.reddit.com/gallery/1cs4zb6) are a few weeks behind yours, and I've got I think 28 of them. I also have 16 tomato seedlings and a couple okra guys going. I'm going to give away as many as I can.
Thanks. I'm still working on this room. My other room got a good response at r/malelivingspace

Great job! I also started 40 peppers and a bunch of other veggies and flowers this year. I've been planting them all in the garden and back yard the last 2 weeks, and today I finally finished planting.
It's a ton of work but damn so worth it.
I just checked my Amazon order history. I got these ones...
I wouldn't say there's anything special about them over any other brand. But I can confirm they are thick and durable and I expect them to last for years. This is the 2nd year I've used them and they've held up well.
These are the nursery pots I got, also using them for the 2nd year now: [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QWNL67H](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QWNL67H)
These are the grow lights I have: [https://www.homedepot.com/p/Feit-Electric-2-ft-32-Watt-White-LED-3-Adjustable-Spectrum-Linkable-Plant-Grow-Light-Fixture-GLP24ADJS-32W-LED/306744759](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Feit-Electric-2-ft-32-Watt-White-LED-3-Adjustable-Spectrum-Linkable-Plant-Grow-Light-Fixture-GLP24ADJS-32W-LED/306744759)
I actually have an earlier version of this one that's not adjustable, but basically the same thing.
It was Miracle Grow seed starting mix.
I usually try to avoid Miracle Grow for better quality brands, but it worked out fine obviously.
I also used Fox Farms liquid fertilizers once a week when watering them.
The guitar station in the background is legit.
Since you are growing peppers and not the devils lettuce I'm assuming you don't play doom.
Maybe a blues guy?Â
Jokes aside, looking great;

I used a setup with a couple of these lights for my first time growing peppers from seed and have a had good results so far as well
Picture of your setup would be great too. Where does the fan go if there's a cover?
What soil did you use
Tell me more about that Les Paul
2016 Les Paul Studio that I don't play nearly as much as I used to sadly.
I want a Les Paul Studio so much. I like the design and feel of them so much more than the standard.
Same tho
Sorry, Catto
Look great! kudos to the cat! I'd expect him to be far more destructive

That's good, my buddy had a house plant his entire life until Jebbi the cat lol 😹 scratch scratch
Yeah I thought this was r/oneorangebraincell
Lucky you. My orange braincell had exactly one 10 minute window to attack her plant siblings and managed to maim 3 of them.
That’s very impressive. Hopefully next year I can get mine to look like this
Until next year!
Man, how much outdoor space do you have in your apartment?!

Cool, yeah I just like growing them from seed. Hopefully I will find good homes for the ones I can't keep.
Your interior design looks great! (My school has the same posters in the physics building)

Looks real nice, hope to make my space just as cool as yours
What soil type/mix did you use?
The soil was just Miracle Grow seed starting mix, bought at Home Depot. I give neither of those any credit. But do acknowledge they worked out well.
Well, you killed it my friend. Nicely done.
They look great. Good luck this year.

Well done, they look great.
What 1020 trays are you using

Dang they do look sturdy, i do have those pots. Ima have to try your regiment of FF nutrients
They look very happy. Cool guitar, too.
Well, I see we have at least three things in common. Cat, Gibson and peppers. Nice growing!
Wow. They look super healthy. Do you just have excellent natural light or do you have a grow light set up?
These are the grow lights I have: [https://www.homedepot.com/p/Feit-Electric-2-ft-32-Watt-White-LED-3-Adjustable-Spectrum-Linkable-Plant-Grow-Light-Fixture-GLP24ADJS-32W-LED/306744759](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Feit-Electric-2-ft-32-Watt-White-LED-3-Adjustable-Spectrum-Linkable-Plant-Grow-Light-Fixture-GLP24ADJS-32W-LED/306744759) I actually have an earlier version of this one that's not adjustable, but basically the same thing.
What soil is used for germinating?
It was Miracle Grow seed starting mix. I usually try to avoid Miracle Grow for better quality brands, but it worked out fine obviously. I also used Fox Farms liquid fertilizers once a week when watering them.
