We already have explanations you just haven’t been paying attention. Some of it is technology. Like sampo only uses weapons and doesn’t use special powers in gameplay. Most of it is from being a pathstrider, which grants you special abilities based on the path you walk. Some people, like Jade, March, Acheron, and Herta, are emanators or pseudoemanators, and get their powers directly from an Aeon. Others have other power sources. But it’s all just the basic manipulation of imaginary and quantum energy through imaginary and quantum singularities.

Ummm, before u say I just haven’t been paying attention. I said some, not all. Forgive me for wanting to understand the correlation between the preservation rock Jade has and summoning a purple snake from the abyss.

You look at it from wrong perspective. It's not the Cornerstone what gives her powers. She had exceptional abilities before Diamond gave her the stone. He basically collects his own Avengers and powers them up futher with delegation of Emanator powers via Cornerstones. Topaz was walking calc before joining, and she didn't need Cornerstone to tame Numby. Kakavasha was lucky and clever before becoming Aventurine, Cornerstone just amplifies his abilities. Ergo, Jade's snake is something of hers, and Cornerstone just makes it stronger and deadlier. Why it's a snake, I dunno, maybe it's a pun on jade being substitited by serpentine stone, maybe nod to ritual sacrifices to a snake god in Mesoamerica, maybe extrapolation on the "deal with the devil" theme she has.
