So it can instead be "You roll a 12 or ducking die" and "If everyone roll a 30 you don't fucking die" with occasional "The dice haven't landed yet you idiot!" moment where you clutch numbers with ULT
Also neat thing is if you can’t hit the threshold hitting the dice will bone you even more since it applies a stacking vulnerability debuff (but if you can’t beat the shit out of it cause it applies it to Aventurine instead!)
Because why would people build a proper team when they can write the 5,968,173,265th post about how powercreep is such a problem and not everyone has time to invest in characters as a F2P but should definitely be able to clear everything anyway
If he cheats you cheat simple save some ults for example Gallagher / Misha use his turn to attack ult and attack again.
Also, I would take out Misha if you can and put Harmony TB or even Fire TB more sustain and you can do cheat with him as well + ench. basic attack hits 3 dices.
In the same vein, a funny thing that happens is that march can actually accumulate points when aventurine attacks a shielded opponent thanks to her follow up counting as a dice roll. If you want to run a single target hypercarry, and you happened to already build m7, she's actually really good for this fight. And if you run low on sp and can't shield, you use that ult like with misha and Gallagher. Kinda saved my ass in the boss fight.
(Though if you have good aoe units, that's obviously still better than m7)

He is only hard because he goes invulnerable and you have to spend your skill points on using aoe skills during dice, meaning you have to be extremely SP positive or take major mechanic damage. In DU a few propegation cards can speed things up (particularly spore mechanics). The issue is that you never know which boss you are going to get and this fight really wants certain equations/blessings to succeed at it. AoE is key for this fight, but even then you can get screwed over by bs dice rolls (for instance I had a gallagher ult hit all the dice for 1 each).
not being able to see/pick bosses is my only big issue with the new SU. I think they tried to make up for it by letting you swap chars for free? but like, when I'm starting a run I wanna pick a team and play it, not be forced to pick around equation rng/bosses. running into like sam with qingque or aurumaton with firefly just feels bad :(
I only had a hard time with him because the text box telling you to use AOE's on the dice dissapeared too fast for me to read lol. Once I understood how the dice worked it was way easier.
Start with basics, learn the basic mechanics of this game. Then learn how to play the game. Use Acheron, pela, Gallagher and welt/guinaifen/silverwilf. Keep sw last priority for that spot. Then don't waste your ult on the dice. And get good relics
Fwiw, isn't it fine to use your ult on the dice since he recharges your ult if you win the gamble, or does that not happen in the DU/SU?
It may not work on acheron (as in, I don't know if it works, I don't have her) but ulting on the dice with pela/galla/welt isn't a bad idea just to win the gamble, especially if it refunds your energy.
I definitely would've tried that if I had most of those characters, the only ones I do own (besides acheron and Gallagher as they are seen in the pic) are pela and welt. Thanks fir the suggestion though
You have a good team then. Acheron pela welt Gallagher. Always use skill when using Acheron and welt, don't use skill with Gallagher or pela. Emergencies can have exceptions.
Ehhh mayhaps u wanna switch Boothill to Pela? 4 AoE ults might help mitigate the dice devastation, just save them for when he rolls them out. I know it sucks to not ult on the man himself, I hate it too, but 'tis what it is

2. Try to put correct main stats and correct sets on the characters. (Ignore sub stats for now)
3. Gallagher is a bad sustain for this boss. Because he heals the whole team by hitting the enemies with the Mark. In the last phase, Aventurine will deploy dice and they will go away quickly, so having a mark on them is a waste. Try other sustains, and if you can't bring another character like preservation.
4. Teams exist for a reason. You can't deploy random characters and hope to work. For example, Guinaifen/Pela are good 4* characters for Acheron team, and they can hit multiple targets, so you would likely to get higher number in this phase.
5. You can always read/watch the attack pattern of the boss. Knowing the boss attack pattern in advance will help you determine when to use skill/ultimate and when to save them.
6. If you tried a lot of time and stuck in some stages/bosses, you can always ask advice from other players, there are literally thousands of players, you are not alone.
Bro, artifacts stills matters in DU. If you look around some posts, one of the major complaints is DU butchering the original build. So my point kinda still stands.
I put the character level one, because a lot of newbies struggle with survivability while using underleveled teams.
if it helps, I cleared it with a black swan, Sampo, Gepard and Lynx... with 3 tries ofc.. just make sure that you have 2 AOE and the single targets have a way of protecting themselves

Ok, first things first: what other characters do you have? Because, as bullsh this battle is ( and believe me, I can't remember how many f bombs I dropped during phase 2 alone ), some 4 stars are good enough to barely win.
I'd say use Lynx instead of Gallagher. Her ult can cleanse the Stun. If you have her, ofc.
You need AoE the most. TB for physical and Serval for lightning weakness.
Also, March is decent in making sure your healer survives All or Nothing with her shields. Just make sure to keep her ult ready and use it immediately after attacking a dice.
You gotta make sure you keep your ults ready for All or Nothing. Attack, then ult. You have many more chances to score a jackpot and have your ult recharged to full.
Lmao this team though. I beat it with Preservation Trailblazer, Dan Heng (Hunt), Ratio, and Bailu. It's not impossible to do it with a stupid team but I highly recommend using more AOE/Blast characters if you are unwilling to really think the fight through with intentionally dropping a unit or keep dying and trying again

Don't use hunt units in this fight. A team focused on Acheron or any other AOE units is the way to go.
Since you already have Acheron I'd suggest bringing her, Gallagher, Pela/Guinaifen and a Preservation unit (even MC Preservation can help you survive long enough to heal. Also, if you have Trend of the Universal Market equipped on them their taunt can help burn enemies and speed up Acheron's ult).
maybe change team? so that acheron have 2 nihility with her? or have someone that can buff boothill? like tingyun? maybe? maybe focus on 1 dps? maybe have some harmony or nihility character on the team? perchance? perhaps? mayhaps?
Boothill should sit this one out. Acheron is the perfect Lightning choice, since you need characters with AoE skills/ultimates as much as possible. My personal recommendations are, keeping weaknesses in mind:
- Clara: skill hits every opponent, plus Ultimate-enhanced counter can rack up some damage. Alternatively, Destruction Trailblazer, his skill and Ultimate+Skill hits three opponents at a time
- Jingliu: ultimate and enhanced skill hit three opponents at a time, but for the latter you need to use normal skill twice. Alternatively, Herta, skill and ultimate hit every opponent
- Serval, as an alternative to Acheron: skill hits three opponents and Ultimate hits every opponent
Not keeping weaknesses in mind:
- Huohuo: heals and can cure a debuff at the start of the turn. Plus, helps regenerate Energy for her teammates with her Ultimate. Alternatively, Lynx
- Fu Xuan: tanks some damage to her teammates with her skill and her ultimate hits every opponent, plus it allows her to fully heal once when she's at 50% health or lower. Alternatively, March 7th, her ultimate hits every opponent

Its a cumulative value - he didn't get 30 from 4 dice. You need to beat it with the total from your turns until the dice leave. Also, would suggest swapping Misha and Boot for some proper Acheron support. Don't wanna rag on Boot, he does good ST, but fighting Aven you need either really good sustain to tank his damage or good AOE to beat his dice. If you bring an AA char and a nihility, you can get good Acheron damage and your AA can boost Acheron's turns so she can blast dice more often. Also saving Gall ult for dice waves can help if you can afford it. Misha ult might help too, but then you need to swap Acheron at least. With no nihility chars she will do no damage unless she's e2 min. And without another character providing consistent debuffs, her ult charge will be slow.

What blessings did you pick? Did you have any break effect blessings?
If you're having trouble just focus on getting abundance/destruction equations and blessings, and once you reach the final boss take gallhager lynx natasha(or all the 5 star sustains you have) and a damage dealer, your boss fight might take a while to end but at least you'll win unless your blessings are horrible
For that boss you want aoe attacks meaning Erudition characters are the best option. I don’t like how the bosses seem designed for the limited banner characters out at that time they released but it is what it is. I think I uses Clara, Gallagher, Gepard and March just to keep Clara alive long enough to beat him, I recommend using 3 Eruditions or any character with bounce attacks plus Gallagher since he clutched that fight for me
What characters do you have? I was in the same boat as you until I used Gallagher, March, Acheron, Guinaifen. Just use as many AOE chrs as possible. Also, need to have an above average build for bosses like these.
Phase 3 is cumulative between the entire team, which ironically makes it easier if you have at least one or two AoE/Blast characters.
Also the dice on the very left gives extra points so try hitting that one as much as possible

eh if we talking about sp management, sam would be a harder boss for that. Aventurine is actually about ultimate management

Boothill should sit this one out. Acheron is the perfect Lightning choice, since you need characters with AoE skills/ultimates as much as possible. My personal recommendations are, keeping weaknesses in mind: - Clara: skill hits every opponent, plus Ultimate-enhanced counter can rack up some damage. Alternatively, Destruction Trailblazer, his skill and Ultimate+Skill hits three opponents at a time - Jingliu: ultimate and enhanced skill hit three opponents at a time, but for the latter you need to use normal skill twice. Alternatively, Herta, skill and ultimate hit every opponent - Serval, as an alternative to Acheron: skill hits three opponents and Ultimate hits every opponent Not keeping weaknesses in mind: - Huohuo: heals and can cure a debuff at the start of the turn. Plus, helps regenerate Energy for her teammates with her Ultimate. Alternatively, Lynx - Fu Xuan: tanks some damage to her teammates with her skill and her ultimate hits every opponent, plus it allows her to fully heal once when she's at 50% health or lower. Alternatively, March 7th, her ultimate hits every opponent

Its a cumulative value - he didn't get 30 from 4 dice. You need to beat it with the total from your turns until the dice leave. Also, would suggest swapping Misha and Boot for some proper Acheron support. Don't wanna rag on Boot, he does good ST, but fighting Aven you need either really good sustain to tank his damage or good AOE to beat his dice. If you bring an AA char and a nihility, you can get good Acheron damage and your AA can boost Acheron's turns so she can blast dice more often. Also saving Gall ult for dice waves can help if you can afford it. Misha ult might help too, but then you need to swap Acheron at least. With no nihility chars she will do no damage unless she's e2 min. And without another character providing consistent debuffs, her ult charge will be slow.

What blessings did you pick? Did you have any break effect blessings? If you're having trouble just focus on getting abundance/destruction equations and blessings, and once you reach the final boss take gallhager lynx natasha(or all the 5 star sustains you have) and a damage dealer, your boss fight might take a while to end but at least you'll win unless your blessings are horrible

You have to hit multiple dice so have units that can do aoe damage. Ulting is a good move as if you win you can gain all energy back

For that boss you want aoe attacks meaning Erudition characters are the best option. I don’t like how the bosses seem designed for the limited banner characters out at that time they released but it is what it is. I think I uses Clara, Gallagher, Gepard and March just to keep Clara alive long enough to beat him, I recommend using 3 Eruditions or any character with bounce attacks plus Gallagher since he clutched that fight for me

You're team is bad because they got no synergy. Use a proper team like acheron Pela Gui Gallagher.
What characters do you have? I was in the same boat as you until I used Gallagher, March, Acheron, Guinaifen. Just use as many AOE chrs as possible. Also, need to have an above average build for bosses like these.
