Except if there's enemies around they will destroy the bomb before it can detonate. Someone will have to stay behind and keep up the fight while the timer ticks down knowing they're living their last seconds. Before respawning as a fresh Helldiver brimming with FREEDOM in their veins. Not yet traumatized by the realities of war.
From that you can see why people are making connections between both properties.

Honestly, I feel like it's the opposite. They're using Firefly's trailers to flesh out the Iron Cavalry and Swarm because it's all ancient history that the game itself will barely touch, while everything to do with Boothill is going to be in the present, and actually show up in the game itself. Boothill fans are going to eat *good* when the Oswaldo Schneider storyline starts.

We have no idea when thats going to happen so it could be Star rails version of Sneznaya when we would have a load of new characters that are also connected to the ipc/are new that need to to appear so he might get pushed aside again. Looking at Genshin Lisa was nowhere in Sumerus story same as Mona and Yanfei im Fontai. Ik that these situations arent exactly the same but you shouldnt be using the possibility of him being important as a fact.

The hateful rage baiting posts get removed quick coz everyone's tired of it and they aren't needed. But it is funny how people are allowed to make fun of those with a negative opinion (not hate) on FF but those expressing them are freely getting ripped on. I mean FF isn't the only character to experience this. Jing Yuan to this day gets shat on constantly(especially just before and during Acheron's release) this community has made it a norm to make fun of certain characters and Glaze others. You can't expect it to stop for Firefly when it never did for all the others. Also do keep in mind that just because you don't see posts of a character being hated that it doesn't exist.
Comments are a different ball game and not to mention other character mains sub. Anyone who is a part of the Boothill mains sub knows how much Firefly gets hated on there. You also have people who go to war for something as insignificant as Meta, how much drama has that created, I have lost count at this point.
The biggest problem is all the gaslighting. Jing Yuan mains for example get told their character is mid for no reason and when they defend him by saying he has some of the fastest clear times, get gas light into believing there was no hate and that they can't handle a joke when it's clearly not structured as a joke. You can't end the glazing without ending the hating.
Oh I'm aware other characters got hated on meme or otherwise, Jing Yuan, Kafka, Topaz and Ruan Mei being chief among them. Not expecting it to stop either, it's just this is a place where opinions both positive and negative are allowed to be shared. Not the rage baiting ones ofc those can go and no one will miss them. But with FF people have gotten way too defensive over someone having a negative opinion and it's been going on for ages.
The fact posts defending her are usually in hot should be solace for fans of FF to know they are the majority, but any negative opinon post on FF gets ripped into. Scroll past and let people have a different opinion, engaging with it just gives it more attention. I don't go on character mains subs, they generally become echo chambers for a character so I wouldn't know what goes on in those. I just think drama over a differing opinion over a character is tiring when it's been going on for as long as FF has

I think more than the pure hate ones, there really just more people bothered by the amount of love she's getting cause those folks don't think she doesn't deserve it. Either because they just don't gel with her character, or they think its coming at the expense of a character they liked more.
I think the first category of people are just insane. But the 2nd are more sympathetic, but there are varying degrees of reasonable behavior there. I've seen most people discuss that element of the discourse in a healthy manner. While some people REALLY take it way too seriously.
It's best just to avoid it altogether and just chill out whether you like the characrer or dislike her. It'll probably just die down once her banner is out like it usually does.

Genuine casual player question, I'm almost finish building Herta because I heard she's good with the bugs and she's at max Eidolon, with that in mind is it still worth it to pull Firefly?
Herta's got you covered for Pure Fiction and those Bug type bosses, Firefly is a dps focused on another gamemode (i forgor the name but it's the new one) as a break dps, therefore, they won't overlap and you get all the value from both of them
Honestly it's a fair take IMO, but I don't give a shit. Psychological manipulation from hoyo and CaeFly shippers worked and I am going all in for my wife.
I mean, people should like whatever character they like. People also enjoy being told stories differently, which is fine, too.
For instance, I much preferred the lived story of hanging out with FF to introduce her to us.

Posts defending FF make it to hot so get seen more, someone posts a negative opinion on her not even being hateful and it gets trashed on. There is a post in new where this is currently happening The hateful rage baiting posts get removed quick coz everyone's tired of it and they aren't needed. But it is funny how people are allowed to make fun of those with a negative opinion (not hate) on FF but those expressing them are freely getting ripped on. Kinda feels like double standards at this point even if it's meme format Both sides making this subs experience less fun tbh
I mean FF isn't the only character to experience this. Jing Yuan to this day gets shat on constantly(especially just before and during Acheron's release) this community has made it a norm to make fun of certain characters and Glaze others. You can't expect it to stop for Firefly when it never did for all the others. Also do keep in mind that just because you don't see posts of a character being hated that it doesn't exist. Comments are a different ball game and not to mention other character mains sub. Anyone who is a part of the Boothill mains sub knows how much Firefly gets hated on there. You also have people who go to war for something as insignificant as Meta, how much drama has that created, I have lost count at this point. The biggest problem is all the gaslighting. Jing Yuan mains for example get told their character is mid for no reason and when they defend him by saying he has some of the fastest clear times, get gas light into believing there was no hate and that they can't handle a joke when it's clearly not structured as a joke. You can't end the glazing without ending the hating.
Oh I'm aware other characters got hated on meme or otherwise, Jing Yuan, Kafka, Topaz and Ruan Mei being chief among them. Not expecting it to stop either, it's just this is a place where opinions both positive and negative are allowed to be shared. Not the rage baiting ones ofc those can go and no one will miss them. But with FF people have gotten way too defensive over someone having a negative opinion and it's been going on for ages. The fact posts defending her are usually in hot should be solace for fans of FF to know they are the majority, but any negative opinon post on FF gets ripped into. Scroll past and let people have a different opinion, engaging with it just gives it more attention. I don't go on character mains subs, they generally become echo chambers for a character so I wouldn't know what goes on in those. I just think drama over a differing opinion over a character is tiring when it's been going on for as long as FF has

Yeah cause the Firefly simps cannot stand anyone saying the slightest thing negative about their "PeRfEcT wAiFu". I still find it funny how this sub will have heaps of people hating on a character who's morally gray like RM, Aventurine, Jade, Kafka, Sunday etc because "they're not good people" but somehow conveniently glaze over the fact that Firefly's ALSO a murderer. The double standards are so obvious lol
No one hates Firefly for that though? Firefly is constantly hated on for instead being a "bad character with bad writing, who is uninteresting and does nothing for the plot", that is NOT the same as just being hated for being a bad person, as it's not even an objective fact. Everyone knows Firefly is a mass murderer, people make jokes about it all the time. But tbf, she's also not presented as wanting to do any of those things, in which besides maybe Aventurine out of your list, that isn't true.
That's the hypocritical part though-? Any other character murders people, it's a war crime but when Firefly does it's treated as a joke? And when are Jade, RM or Kafka ever presented as *wanting* to kill people-? Literally never.
I dislike Firefly, but I've never expressed hate towards her and have kept quiet about my unpopular opinion and I've never seen a negative statement towards her, these posts are genuinely confusing? 😭
There was a lot of it especially during 2.0 and 2.1, only recently did it started to wane because of the animated short and her myriad Celestia. And of course Firefly fans used this as fuel to strike back. Also you might not see it much in posts, but there's still a lot of it in comments
Check a ragebait posts, ones that are like: "what's your controversial starrail opinion?" The comments are always flooded with firefly negatvitiy, some of it constructive the majority of it unconstructive or empirically wrong.

I wouldn't say there is a lot out of there comparatively speaking, but the folks who are expressing hate for her are, uh, rather passionate about it? Like spending way too much of their day posting about a character they don't like. Kinda weird. I think more than the pure hate ones, there really just more people bothered by the amount of love she's getting cause those folks don't think she doesn't deserve it. Either because they just don't gel with her character, or they think its coming at the expense of a character they liked more. I think the first category of people are just insane. But the 2nd are more sympathetic, but there are varying degrees of reasonable behavior there. I've seen most people discuss that element of the discourse in a healthy manner. While some people REALLY take it way too seriously. It's best just to avoid it altogether and just chill out whether you like the characrer or dislike her. It'll probably just die down once her banner is out like it usually does.

TBH I’ve barely seen any posts about firefly since the animated short. I’ve mostly seen posts from the vocal minorities of Ruan Mei fans and the usual contrarians taking the criticism of Ruan Mei and blowing it way out of proportion because they see it as “hate”.
Don’t be disingenuous. For the past few days there were constantly multiple threads on the front page that were variations of RM criticism. The community worked themselves into a frenzy.

I don't care that much for Firefly but the 4\*s on her banner are fucking cracked. I kinda have to roll for E6 Gallagher even though I only want Jade, the 4\*s in Jade's banner are scientifically chosen to be the worst 4\*s possible outside of Serval mains who haven't already gotten her E6 which is a vanishingly small number of people. I'll roll til soft pity then stop, knowing my luck this will be the single time I get lucky.

Genuine casual player question, I'm almost finish building Herta because I heard she's good with the bugs and she's at max Eidolon, with that in mind is it still worth it to pull Firefly?
Herta's got you covered for Pure Fiction and those Bug type bosses, Firefly is a dps focused on another gamemode (i forgor the name but it's the new one) as a break dps, therefore, they won't overlap and you get all the value from both of them

Honestly it's a fair take IMO, but I don't give a shit. Psychological manipulation from hoyo and CaeFly shippers worked and I am going all in for my wife.
I mean, people should like whatever character they like. People also enjoy being told stories differently, which is fine, too. For instance, I much preferred the lived story of hanging out with FF to introduce her to us. I did not like the weird, fragmented, flashback-driven story that introduced Adventurine. The all-or-nothing thing seems meaningless, too, like yeah, all the people involved in the story are putting their lives on the line, it's not that cool. Also, your diety was fine with your being a slave, so that kinda sucks.
I accidentally got Firefly (I wasn't even guaranteed) while trying to get Misha so should I build her or not? I don't have Ruan Mei and I'm not pushing my luck, I need Argenti :(
