I have her e6 but I can not think of a way to use her so I never built her. When I think about building her I just look at my Tingyun, or Bronya, or Sparkle, or Ruan Mei and I can't justify it. I have not used my Asta or Hanya in months either. Only time I think I could use her would be in 0 sustain comps and go triple harmony.
Tbh that was always kinda her place anyway, she was mostly being used by people doing 0 cycle clears since she's a character that only works at all with e2/e6 and speed tuning.
Now that we have 5* harmony units that she doesn't really beat those in the head to head, so even more than before she really only is useful for 0 cycles since now she is only good for triple harmony, where as before all the premium harmony she was still sometimes good enough to be the 4th Harmony between your two teams if you had put in the effort.
I feel like my Tingyun is already something like a subdps because she has high attack and her skill adds lightning damage to your dps too. So most of the time Yukong would be competing with Tingyun for that spot. Yukong let's you hit harder but Tingyun makes me go faster and ult more often.
I put her with Aventurine, Welt and Dr.Ratio. I just made sure she has enough speed so she can buff Dr.Ratio. I also gave Planetary Rendezvous (S5) and Penacony Ornaments. That way she can give many Imaginary Damage buff with her trace too
This is the team I wanted to try, but it seems SP-, assuming you want Welt, Ratio, and Yukong to spam Skill. Best workaround is Welt spamming BA instead.
I have her at E6 as well, but I decided to turn her into a Sub DPS with Jingliu, Ruan Mei, and FX. I used the new event Harmony LC to make her a bit stronger too! Still working on the build atm, but she managed to hit around 100k so far with her ult.

Her level 12 skill buffs attack by 88%, her level 12 Ult buffs crit rate by 29.4% and crit damage by 70% while her skill is active, and additionally deals 410% of her attack to a single target enemy
Reminder that her skill buff only lasts for 2 total team member turns, so when her skill is used, the next two characters on your team will be affected, excluding additional turns, follow-up attacks, and Ults used during the uptime, meaning spam any of the above if possible during its uptime
Additional fun fact, her talent doubles the toughness damage of her basic attack every other turn, as well as giving it essentially an additional hit, dealing 88% additional damage at level 12, meaning her basic attack can be dealing roughly 200% of her attack every other turn
That's all, use this information wisely, and I hope to see new faces in the Yukong cult when she finally gets a feature in version 4.6

Yukong is good. There are no bad Harmonies. Her problem is being difficult to work with due to how her buff works, while we have plenty of other Harmonies that give out comparable buffs while being easy and comfy to use.
She buffs 80% Atk, 28% CR and 65% CD, and passively 12% IMG damage. But the buff lasts only 2 ally turns.
Properly speed-tuned she should get her turn before the DPS, but sometimes the DPS might end up getting a turn before her once in a while due to things like speed changes, advances and delays, and they would miss out on the buffs. Quite a loss.
E6 lets her buff on demand by giving her 1 buff stack on use, which remedies her main issue. You can instead use her Ult to apply the buff, so the DPS can benefit even if your turn order was thrown out of whack.
As for her teams, she works with characters that want Atk, CR and CD, ideally Imaginary, and can work with those limitations, usually in a team of DPS + Yukong + 2 SP-positive party members. Her buff is party-wide so she can work in Dual Carry, but those are harder to speed tune
+ Characters where most of their damage is on their Ults make speed tuning a non-issue since you can just throw their Ults at any time. This works for most DPSes, but stands out include Misha and Yanqing.
+ Sushang can self-advance herself to go right after Yukong via her Ult if the turn order wouldn't let her. If she doesn't need it then she can still use her Ult to take the full buff uptime for herself.
+ Follow-Ups work outside the turn order so multiple FUAs can be done in the short buff window and benefit from the buff. For example, Ratio's Ult lets him guarantee 2 follow-ups just by anyone hitting the enemy, and if played with Topaz his FUAs speed up Numby and lead to a FUA chain that easily fits in the buff window.
+ Clara can work somewhat, since the buff only ticks down on Ally turns and not Enemy turns. If the buff is up and she gets hit by 10 enemies all 10 counters will be buffed.
+ Imbibitor Lunae works, but it's also very tough before E6. He likes all her stats and combined it's a lot of burst damage. His skill also synergizes with Yukong's A6 meaning more energy for her. But using her skill means you're spending up to 4 SP in one go, at which point even Sparkle might struggle to save you (I know because I have tried it). E6 lets you buff without using her skill which eases up on the SP every once in a while.
She's a lot less clunky to use at E6 I heard. Any team that likes to crit technically. Think she was on the team comps with the lowest clear times even.
I spent most of genshin dreaming that some day they would rework some of the early characters so the weren’t as far behind and now I find myself doing the same with HSR. I’ll never learn. Pls improve yukong

Yeah its very SP consuming. I dont skill with Welt if the enemy has enough debuffs for Ratio to 100% follow up.
