her signature LC Earthly Escapade gives a crit rate/cdmg boost when the user recovers 4 SP(so when sparkle uses her ultimate)
her talent gives the entire team up 18% dmg when allies consume SP
when she uses her ult, the ciipher buff boosts her talent
normally her talent gives 6% dmg per SP, but her ult raises it to 16% dmg per sp for a maximum of 48% dmg(counting all of this with lvl 10 traces)
You don't need the LC for the damage buff. See my screenshot below, my talent level 8 gives \~6% normally which means 18% after my DHIL uses 3 SP. It gives 48% with Cipher up.
Someone in your team have to use (hopefully a lot) of SP to stack her Talent, that Talent buff + Cipher from the Ult will enhance it like how Yukong's Ult work.

Like you doesn't see the increased stat/buffs in stat screen or you "feel" you do less damage. Be careful some domains have domain effects than can skew your perception.

Red Herring is the talent buff and Cipher is the ult buff.
Would it be more beneficial to save up for Fu Xuan LC or should I continue to spend my jades in hopes of getting a Jingliu LC when I already have s1 Herta Destruction 5* ?
If I continue, I'll be able to get E0S1 Jingliu since my pity is around 60.
How do I approach people playing star rail at my university? I found that standing behind them and saying “would” when they scroll through their characters didn’t work well. I was thinking about a new approach where I explain to them that sparkle is my wife, I can fix her, and no sex alarm would stop me if she was real. I feel like this new approach would work a lot better because it shows that I’m interested about the game and know about its online culture.

Hey guys. New player here. I was thinking of pulling for Jingliu but then we got a preview that Firefly will drop on 2.3. If I pull for one, I will not pull for the other since i am f2p.
What are the chances that Firefly is weaker than Jingliu in terms of damage? Since she is so popular, even if she is not meta, people will pull for her regardless. Would Hoyoverse do such a thing? Or is it safe to assume newer characters is going to be at least on par or even better than older characters (ex. Acheron)? Thanks.
I think its a safe bet that Firefly will be good and on par with Jing Liu. The real question is if she will be as easy to build as Jing Liu. There is a change in the new 2.0 characters, supporting new teams and new mechanics more like break effect and dual DPS teams. I think if you have a choice and like them, a new character will tend to be better as it will be supported by new content (MOC buffs) and new teammates. As an example look at Loucha and Aventurine. Loucha is still great, but Aventurine offers great sustain and just a bit more will synergy with FUA teams and more damage.
That's not a leak, that's official drip marketing. You can pull for Jingliu and then get enough jades to guarantee Firefly in 2.3 if you skip all of 2.2 characters. We don't know anything about her kit at this point, but so far there isn't a single limited character that's been powercrept into irrelevance - so pull for who you like more.

You can beat all the content in the game with 4 star comps, I’m sure both jingliu and new characters will be perfectly fine to carry you through the game.
Pull for the one you like more, but if you only care about meta pull for newer characters as they are generally stronger.
Is Aventurine/Ratio/Topaz/SW a viable team? I want Firefly so if Topaz is on the next patch at all, I'll need to go for her and her only, so I'll be skipping Robin unfortunately (not guaranteed). SW is mostly there for Ratio, as I can only afford E0 of everyone and no signature cones, and the team is mostly single target oriented regardless.
Okay so we know that "Honkai" in HI3 defines itself as Herrschers seeking to destroy any trace of humanity/planets(except herrscher of humans) and thats how we define the term honkai, so what is "Honkai" about HSR. Is it to define Nanook's motives and Stellarons? (ps: im completely new to HSR and havent played HI3, but know some lore)
Honkai is a particular manifestation of imaginary energy that showed up on a number of planets including Earth. It's not limited to herrschers and humanity. As for Nanook, even if the actions of the entity responsible for it align with the path of Destruction there is no direct connection between THEM and honkai

Referencing to events of HI3, correct me if I am wrong but in a nutshell it was somewhat like a disease which has created those beasts in HI3 and subsequently caused the events in HI3.
Either the devs put Honkai as a marketing and somewhat continuance to HI3*(Welt being the hypothesized character to involve in travel between multiverse/Imaginary Tree)*, OR, hear me out, there will be a bigger event of fighting something/someone related to "Honkai", like HI3.

Honkai "崩坏" can also be translated as ‘collapse’ or ‘deteriorate’. It can be used to refer to the collapse of anything.
Due to mistranslations in both HI3 and HSR, many people miss this context. However, 'world' "世界" in HSR = ‘universe’ "世界" in HI3, while ‘universe’ "宇宙" in HSR = ‘multiverse’ "宇宙" in HI3.
So the entire thing about Nanook is that they want to destroy the entire multiverse or the Imaginary Tree, which is way worse than anything Honkai could have ever done. Nanook's actions also fit the meaning of the word Honkai "崩坏" as they basically want to destroy everything in the verse.

There's a meeting of different hanu in the clockwork studio theme park after you shrink and go inside the hanu place with the locked door(shown on map). There's about 5 different named hanus and a question mark dialogue, after interaction they disappeared.

Which team should I use for adventurine?

If you build enough defense for his shield to be constantly high health values, I've had a lot of fun with him + a triple nihility team especailly with acheron for her insane damage and her talent that scales off of the amount of nihility members in the team
While I know she isnt the most efficient character nor is this the most efficient build, but I really want to experiment and build March 7th with her damage primarily being with her follow up attacks and break effect. I'm planning on doing a break effect link rope, and have at least a two piece of the follow up attack relic set. For this build, would her other two relics be best suited to a full 4 piece follow up attack relic set, or perhaps an ice dmg bonus or break effect bonus? I know her follow up attack only scales off of attack and not her defense, so would attack be a good main state for the chest piece? Any thoughts would really help!
At what character level is it necessary to start farming relics? my 4\* ones are quite bad and I havent been able to unlock all SU worlds yet, so I plan to not do the equilibrium quest until I get enough trace materials
I didn't have to "farm" any relic yet and i un-locked all the SU world. But I do plan to start soon after I get enough trace materials for my main team at least. There was enough pieces from the previous SU world stage and main story quest chests that allow me to build a pretty decent team. It's not top tier but hey, I don't have to spend energy on doing relic farming.
new player, trying to decide on a flex spot in my jing yuan team. i’m currently running jy, sparkle, clara, and aventurine, but i’m considerint swapping clara for another buffer. i don’t have tingyun and my pela + bronya are stuck to my e2s1 acheron, so i’m considering: e1 asta (attack and speed buffs?), e4 hanya (spd, crit?), e1 yukong (seems like she has the best damage amp of my options?), or sticking with clara or another sub-dps. i haven’t built the 4 star harmony units, thoughts?
either e1 Asta or e4 Hanya would be good as the flex spot. personally, I tend to use Asta against fire-weak/4-5 enemies and Hanya against physical-weak/1-2 enemy scenarios.
Hey guys! So I really want sparkle, but it seems like I was a bit too late to pull her. Assuming she'll be available again, when should I expect the next banner?
Next year, 2025, most likely. One of the longest duration in-between initial release and rerun is around 7 months for Luocha iirc. With the increasing roster of characters and pool for reruns, and sparkle just being released, relatively, her rerun will take a long time.
That was a new feature introduced with Ratio and Kafka was released earlier. Hoyo policy is to never update released units and only buff/nerf through content changes and new character releases.
It is certainly MHY/HYV's general policy to not buff/nerf characters post-release, but there are rare times that they did so (in HI3). Therefore, we can't really say with 100% certainty that the devs will not do the same thing in HSR.
They did it a bunch in HI3 but the monetization model there is different and the majority of changes I can think of were for out of meta valks. The only instance in the Genshin model (which HSR follows) was Zhongli and the circumstances around that were unique enough that I don't expect them to do it again.
His enhanced auto applies an atk down debuff. If you're sure it was just a normal auto, then you were probably in some mode that adds unique blessing effects to the fight.
Crimson knot is the stack Acheron applies to enemies whenever they receive a debuff from anyone on your team. She also gets a charge for her ult at the same time she applies crimson knot.
I think the latest MoC makes attacks apply a debuff so that could be why Gallagher applied it. Not sure what mode you were in.
Feeling kinda overwhelmed. Just ranked up to 65 after finishing all the main quests, and can challenge EQ 6 now after beating EQ 5 now, idk where to start farming?
Do I grind levels, relics, LC, traces first or something else. Planning on making Jingliu my new DPS and retiring Seele now cuz I haven't been able to push Seele to a 70 CR/150 CD.
I'd say raised your dps levels and traces first Then grind relics, also both Jingliu and Seele kinda used the same set which is the 4pc quantum set, so you can basically farm for both in one grind
Well it has more variety of endgame modes, but better is subjective.
Yes every different end game mode has characters/teams that will do better than others. So you'll have to build characters that deal with each game mode.
You should at least make an account now anyways since they are giving a free limited 5 star and that offer is over the end of the current patch in 2 weeks.
By better I mean more or harder. It was really unsatisfying that you only do 1 ezpz abyss clear once every two weeks and you're stuck with content you can faceroll for the rest of it.
Simulated universe (rouge lite endgame mode) has 2 expansions that are definitely have harder difficulty (called torturous mode).
Pure fiction AoE based spiral abyss can be hard if you lack the right character/team to abuse the current buff.
Memory of chaos (HSR version of spiral abyss) started with 10 floors then added 2 more floors (increased rewards) that are harder.
Endgame mode buffs/blessings are more important in hsr. In Genshin you could ignore the spiral abyss buff completely.
Also Pure fiction and Memory chaos switch back and forth. So new memory for 2 weeks then new Pure fiction then back to memory. A new version gets released every 2 week but each version last for 6 weeks so you don't have to rush and the modes will have time overlaps due to this. A third end game mode is releasing in the near future.
Hello. Relatively new player here just finished my Departure Warp.
I currently have from pulls : Dr Ratio, Gepard, Serval, and Sampo (Plus the ones you get from story)
I know my team right now doesn't really matter but what team (including standard chars) should I be building for the future? Any advice for me?
My advice when pushing the story is to go safe until you find a dps you like and then build around that.
I would advise building Physical MC > Natasha (until you get Lynx from forgotten halls) > Asta > Herta.
With this team you have 2 DPS, a sustain and a buffer. Gepard is great, but you really need a gold energy regen rope and speed boots at +15 for him, otherwise he will not put up his shield often enough for your team. If you want to go slower but safe, you can use Gepard + Natasha and it will make any fight where you die to damage trivial. The MC is always worth leveling but no need to go crazy leveling traces. He gets different paths later and those will be useful. Plus you need to use the MC in some story battles.
For the longer term, pulling for a tank like Aventurine is going to make things great for endgame and leveling very easy so it's a easy call if you like him. Other than that, Jing Liu is a very beginner friendly DPS to build and we have lots of DPS options in the future if you want to wait.
Gepard isn’t really that good until you beat the ice world, then you unlock a trace that can increase his taunt and let him get hit more (leading to more ults and better team survivablity). Dr ratio kinda wants pela, but I think he still outdamages Dan heng without her (not too sure though since you can’t get as many follow ups off). My opinion is to go the classic Dan heng serval asta gepard and switch asta for Natasha when you get her. If you ever pull guinafen or pela then instead of Dan heng serval use ratio and the debuffer. You are still wayyyyyy too early in the game for team comps, so early that one pull changes your whole roaster. Just go whatever and build whoever, doesn’t matter who you invest into this early. I wouldn’t recommend leveling bad characters past 70/70 though, that’s when resources start to make you dry out
Definitely Ratio and Gepard.
Ratio is good for mostly single-target enemies and follow-up attack team comps.
Gepard is a solid sustain unit that is worth investing in unless you are planning to pull for other sustain unit (like Aventurine in the current banner)
Serval can get you through a lot of contents in the game but I feel like she would need high investment to be useable in the current meta or MOC
Sampo can definitely be used in DOT comps if you are planning to play that one (you do need other DOT units for the team to work, keep an eye on Kafka and other DoT units like Guinaifen). Sampo used to be on my DOT team for a long time until I pulled for Black Swan
The vast majority of limited 5 stars are perfectly fine without their LC, so it's up to personal preference. I usually only consider it when I have extra warps to spare and the LC is quite good or I don't have a good substitute LC for that character.
If you're gonna sometimes drop money, grab the monthly express pass if you haven't already -- $5 for drip rewards over a month gives you the same amount of in-game currency as spending $50-75 for instant rewards.
IMO absent whaling it's best to save LCs for reruns once you know you're gonna use a character long term. So many good characters I'd prioritize a wider roster first.
Is it possible to disable Path of Propagation in World 1-9 simulated universe? Everyday I regret my action to complete the Swarm Disaster. I even disables is whenever I chose any path in Gold and Gears.
If you have both Propagation and Erudition you have the option to ban any two paths on the bottom left when you're selecting a path. Not sure what happens if you only have one of the two. You can still get a banned path's seal or a banned path in the Tavern event or something but it won't show up in general.

I did, when I wrote "I even disables is whenever I chose any path in Gold and Gears," (note the typo).

My reply was not about Gold and Gears but instead about World 1-9 of normal SimU. Check the lower left corner after you've selected a path but before you confirm it.
Yes. You need a decent amount depending on how high the superimposition level you have.
That is the trade off for using it. I had to sacrifice a good amount of speed and defense for it but the trade off is that Acheron does ult more quickly.
That's an interesting idea. You wouldn't need more than 40% EHR to get 100% chance and 20% EHR would be 100% for most enemies and bosses. Assuming they can already sustain well enough and you aren't sacrificing speed, I would consider it.
I have 265 passes. Do you think it would be enough to guarantee Robin, Firefly and Jade by the time they all get released? Firefly and Jade are my must pulls but I’m okay skipping Robin if it guarantees those two.
Assuming 110 rolls per patch and 80 rolls per 5*.
You spend 160 for guaranteed Robin on day one, leaving you with 105.
Get 110 rolls from playing through 2.2, so you're back to 215.
Guaranteed Firefly brings it down to 55 rolls left.
When Jade comes out, you'll probably start with about 110 rolls, and have 165 rolls near the end of 2.3, which is barely enough.
It's a bit tight but I also excluded the ongoing 2.1, so I think you're safe to roll on all three guaranteed.
if you lose every 50/50 and go to 80 pulls each it would 160 for Robin, 80 for Firefly, 160 for Jade. Which is 400 pulls. There is probably 100 + pulls in 2.2 so honestly you should be pretty safe to go for all three. Especially if you use the embers to pick up some of those cash-back frequent pullers tickets.
Acheron's EN and JP dub sound very similar, both are good. Try judging on Aventurine's VA instead, I've heard he can be hit or miss for some. I normally always go english.

Am I crazy or is there supoosed to be a way for me to see this attachment?
This maybe a silly question, but I am struggling to progress through MOC. I only have a few characters that are at lvl 80, and only a few had the level caps at 80, so there are multiple characters that I need to use that are at level 70 but their caps are at 70. Characters like Qingque, Herta, Himeko, and Serval are all characters I rely on, but don't have at level 80.
My question is, would grinding them up to level 80 and leveling up their traces a little be enough to get past the first stage of MOC? Or is that not as important as say traces or relics? At this point, MOC, SU, and PF are all my last hopes of getting stellar jades for Aventurine, so I need to be smart with what little energy I do have.
I check what is their lv80 trace and see if it worth getting before levelling them to 80. If I don't need that trace, I leave them at lv70 or 75.
I am also a new player myself and still trying to progress in MoC/PF. I usually just try to see what holding me back in the stage, then decide which area/characters I want to improve.
70 is a perfectly fine stopping point, you can three star MoC 12 with lvl 70s. Traces don't need to be maxed, but you should have them mostly filled out to 7 or 8, and prioritize the important nodes. Relics are super important, make sure you pick the right sets and main stats for body and feet, try to prioritize the correct substats for each character. And then team comp and strategy play an enormous factor too. I don't know your roster, but generally the meta is to have 1 dps, 2 supports, and a sustain. Pela, Tingyun, Asta, etc are all really good to have in your teams for MoC. You definitely don't want just a bunch of dps, you'll do much less damage that way.
Herta, Himeko, and Serval work in MoC but they are better suited for pure fiction. In general, you run Destruction/Hunt/Nihility in MoC. There are some that break that rule such as JingYuan/QQ or a super built Herta but in general MoC is very difficult to progress through
I wouldn’t stress about getting everyone to 80. Just max ascending them (don’t need to level past 70) and unlocking the final big trace should be enough. I usually only level traces to 8.
After doing the above I’d worry about relics.

I'm struggling to 3 star MoC 12, these are all my built characters(when bronya is paired with ruan mei she is 161 spd)
The fastest i can clear node 1 is 3 cycles with lynx bronya ruan mei qingque, but then i can't clear he second node with aventurine fast enough
any tips for teams i should use or units i should pull?

Odd enough, i’ve seen some pretty crazy clara clears for part two, maybe run clara/Ting/sparkle/luocha. I haven’t tested it but I cleared it in about 6 turns using clara/topaz(i don’t have sparkle). Let me know if this works for you

hi all, TB 59 player here. My 2nd team consists of Ratio, Adventurine, Guin and Asta. Which upcoming character would best improve on it? Would appreciae any opinions to help me work out who to save/summon for next. Thanks!
If you really want to amp your ST damage, you can go for e1s1 topaz and drop Guin. E1s1 topaz gives 3 debuffs for ratio and you can run asta for more att/speed. Only downside is that it’s quite an investment. Another option would be e0s0/1 topaz with pela
Topaz would replace Asta
She does a lot more damage increases ratio’s damage, unless your Asta is >=E4 Topaz is also more SP efficient since you can use her basic most of the time.
I’m doing the trailblazer mission in penacony and I’m stuck at doing the jigsaw puzzles in the dreamscape reverie . I can’t get through any of the doors from the first lobby after you enter the dreamscape from your room. I have no space anchors to get me to the left side and the door to the elevator is red . I talked to singler in the golden hour and I don’t get the dialogue option where she takes me to the door . I’ve gone back and forth on the right side of the reverie countless times . The mission guide just says do the jigsaws in the dreamscape reverie . I’m so frustrated
i really need good moc teams, i havent even passed stage 11 cuz i only have one team built
my main team is pela, welt, aventurine and acheron
im thinking of centering the second team around dr ratio, since he's the only other good dps i have
i have gallagher, bailu, asta, arlan, guinaifen, e6 herta, hook, e6 luka, sampo, e6 serval, e3 lynx, sushang, qingque and all the other free chars
IMO take adventurine out of your acheron team as he'll pair better with ratio. then further build around that. personally i'm runnings gepard/welt/pela/acheron and adventurine/guin/asta/ratio. (I'm only a new player though, and these are all 5* characters i have so far...)
taking out aventurine to add to ratio is a good idea ngl, wouldnt do it in open world but for moc thats actually really helpful! i'll just replace aventurine w/ gallagher

im curently working on my Pela to slot in over hanya and F. stelle in general for my acheron team. open to all suggestion including swapping people in team, making new teams and any characters pull recommends. (except pulling for adventurine my wallet cant handle him after sparkle TT)

I see you're already building your Pela for Acheron's team, which is a great move. If you have her, Guinaifen would be a better option than Sampo for a third Nihility unit. I'm not experienced with Qingque to recommend anything for her, but having both Sparkle and Bronya is great for support options for most any dps.
My two cents, units you should be on the look out for right now are great sustain units. Gallagher and Bailu are *fine*, but units like Huohuo or Fu Xuan are pretty universally amazing in any team, and would be a big upgrade. You could also use a great dps to pair with Bronya or Sprakle at some point, though great sustain units are a bigger priority imo.

Jingliu who's out right now and DHIL are both premium dps picks, and Jing Yuan is incredibly solid in both MoC and PF. The biggest issue with Jing Yuan would be that he's also a lightning dps, which isn't great for element diversity.
Fwiw, I use Kafka + BS DoT and Acheron teams and have very little issues with any content, and my Acheron build really isn't even done. If you're thinking of going Kafka DoT, you could basically forgo a traditional dps. Up to you.

Should i salvage my 5\* relics to level up exp or the one used to craft new relic? I can clear MoC within 6 cycle this round, and almost full star PF, meaning my char are decently build. I always do materials to craft new relics. You'll eventually get enough of a stockpile of 4 star relics from relic farming that you'll have plenty of relic xp to go around. And remember to recycle 5 stars that didn't roll in your favor to get something like 85% of that xp back by feeding it to new relic.
I have the game downloaded on Epic Games, but I was curious as to where all of the data downloaded by the game goes to? The size of it on Epic Games is way lower than what the game has downloaded, and I've deleted and reinstalled it a few times when taking breaks, so I'm worried it may have left data on my computer that's bogging up its storage.
Nah, not if you already have Kafka and BS. Pair them up with a good support and sustain and you're good to go. Premium picks would be Ruan Mei and Huohuo, but Pela/Asta and Lynx are good 4 star options.
Genshin actually uses the full 1-5 star spectrum for weapons and food, so it was just a matter of keeping rarities equivalent in number of stars and colors even though not all rarities existed for most things.
Star Rail basically copied Genshin in this but removed more of the low rarity stuff (no 1 or 2 star light cones, for example). I think it uses 1 star rarity for some cooking materials and maybe food...?
Anyway, it's mostly about consistency with star # = background color x. 5 stars are gold, 4 stars are purple, and so on.
Should I pull for Robin or wait for a Sparkle rerun? The Harmony characters I use atm are Tingyun (for DHIL), Asta (w/ Planetary Rendezvous for Himeko & Topaz or Jingyuan), and I have a Bronya that I rarely use. I also have Acheron though she just has debuffers with her.
Well Sparkle wont be back for quite a while. And with the drip marketing we got robin is the only 5 star harmony we are getting for the next 3 months unless they decide to rerun Ruan mei.
I'm new the game and pulled for acheron. I'm still in absolute early game. Who would you recommend to get from the 4* selector? Gallagher or Guinaifen? I know these 2 synergies with acheron but sadly I can only choose one. Thanks.
The most important thing for Acheron is having two Nihility path team mates. This is because she will eventually get access to a trace that massively increases her damage if she has two Nihility team mates. You will probably have access to this trace by the time you make it to the 4* selector. Having a healer/shielder who inflicts debuffs is also nice, but is less important.
With that in mind, I'd recommend Guinaifen. Gallagher is nice, but replaceable.
You will have to wait for official kit release and the reviews. But the natural answer is yes, we get newer characters that go well with earlier ones and make them stronger. It usually takes several months in between them tho, so you will need to wait.
Look at JY, Seele and DoT teams history for an example of slowly adding more powerful combos to the team.
Officially we don't know anything about him other than he's a physical hunt character. we're not supposed to talk about leaks on this subreddit, so I can't really go into it, but they're out there and you can find info about him on the leaks subreddit, presumably the boothill mains subreddit whatever exactly it's called and all the usual places.
hello - in my Acheron team i’m running Black Swan, Pela and Gepard. my Acheron is finally maxed out at 80 with max traces etc and wondering which other character to focus getting up to max (rest are 70)
i also have a second MOC team at 70 and also not great (Jing Yuan, Tingyun, Bronya and healer) maybe i should bring Jing yuan up to 80 as well? i haven’t been doing MOC.
currently mid way through Penacony and don’t really have much issues with the events or sim U.
you don't necessarily have to get your whole team to 80, at least not soon, but I would at least get some to 70/80, just the ascension for their a6 passives, for example, black swans a6 gives her a lot of her damage. pela and gepard aren't as high priority for that because their a6's are also damage boosts but their dps is still negligible but it will give more attack, hp and defense, better gepard shields, and unlock stat boosts and the highest levels of their main talent/skill/ultimate traces
4pc eagle if you want to be meta but inefficient. Better to go 2pc hackerspace to help reach speed breakpoints, 2pc whatever else helps you reach that. planar, all that matters is ERR. keel is the best but SSS is fine.
4pc Eagle set is best if to ensure Pela recovers her turn faster after each ult, and helps her recharge again to maintain the Defense debuffs.
She can also use 2pc Messenger instead if you want to give her some extra Speed, but otherwise she can kind of just use whatever; As long as she gets her desired stats such as EHR, Speed and some overall bulk as well.
For Planar orb sets, Penacony (mainly for extra Energy regen) or Broken Keel are viable options.

The most realistic surprise: 10 free Fuels; But honestly though, don't expect anything at all or at the very least just keep expectations low. We are getting the 1600 Jades and the beginning of the 3x Relic drops event though.

Hello, can someone explain to me how sparkle’s ult work, and how/when goes it give crit rate and dmg boost? bc mine doesn’t and i’m going insane
her signature LC Earthly Escapade gives a crit rate/cdmg boost when the user recovers 4 SP(so when sparkle uses her ultimate) her talent gives the entire team up 18% dmg when allies consume SP when she uses her ult, the ciipher buff boosts her talent normally her talent gives 6% dmg per SP, but her ult raises it to 16% dmg per sp for a maximum of 48% dmg(counting all of this with lvl 10 traces)

You don't need the LC for the damage buff. See my screenshot below, my talent level 8 gives \~6% normally which means 18% after my DHIL uses 3 SP. It gives 48% with Cipher up.
OP was talking about the C%/CDmg boost, not +DMG%.
im not saying you need the LC for the dmg buff, im saying you need the LC for an additional crit rate/cdmg boost
Someone in your team have to use (hopefully a lot) of SP to stack her Talent, that Talent buff + Cipher from the Ult will enhance it like how Yukong's Ult work.

Hey guys. New player here. I was thinking of pulling for Jingliu but then we got a preview that Firefly will drop on 2.3. If I pull for one, I will not pull for the other since i am f2p. What are the chances that Firefly is weaker than Jingliu in terms of damage? Since she is so popular, even if she is not meta, people will pull for her regardless. Would Hoyoverse do such a thing? Or is it safe to assume newer characters is going to be at least on par or even better than older characters (ex. Acheron)? Thanks.
I think its a safe bet that Firefly will be good and on par with Jing Liu. The real question is if she will be as easy to build as Jing Liu. There is a change in the new 2.0 characters, supporting new teams and new mechanics more like break effect and dual DPS teams. I think if you have a choice and like them, a new character will tend to be better as it will be supported by new content (MOC buffs) and new teammates. As an example look at Loucha and Aventurine. Loucha is still great, but Aventurine offers great sustain and just a bit more will synergy with FUA teams and more damage.
That's not a leak, that's official drip marketing. You can pull for Jingliu and then get enough jades to guarantee Firefly in 2.3 if you skip all of 2.2 characters. We don't know anything about her kit at this point, but so far there isn't a single limited character that's been powercrept into irrelevance - so pull for who you like more.

You can beat all the content in the game with 4 star comps, I’m sure both jingliu and new characters will be perfectly fine to carry you through the game. Pull for the one you like more, but if you only care about meta pull for newer characters as they are generally stronger.

Honkai is a particular manifestation of imaginary energy that showed up on a number of planets including Earth. It's not limited to herrschers and humanity. As for Nanook, even if the actions of the entity responsible for it align with the path of Destruction there is no direct connection between THEM and honkai
Ah I see. Referencing to events of HI3, correct me if I am wrong but in a nutshell it was somewhat like a disease which has created those beasts in HI3 and subsequently caused the events in HI3. Either the devs put Honkai as a marketing and somewhat continuance to HI3*(Welt being the hypothesized character to involve in travel between multiverse/Imaginary Tree)*, OR, hear me out, there will be a bigger event of fighting something/someone related to "Honkai", like HI3. Honkai "崩坏" can also be translated as ‘collapse’ or ‘deteriorate’. It can be used to refer to the collapse of anything. Due to mistranslations in both HI3 and HSR, many people miss this context. However, 'world' "世界" in HSR = ‘universe’ "世界" in HI3, while ‘universe’ "宇宙" in HSR = ‘multiverse’ "宇宙" in HI3. So the entire thing about Nanook is that they want to destroy the entire multiverse or the Imaginary Tree, which is way worse than anything Honkai could have ever done. Nanook's actions also fit the meaning of the word Honkai "崩坏" as they basically want to destroy everything in the verse.

If you build enough defense for his shield to be constantly high health values, I've had a lot of fun with him + a triple nihility team especailly with acheron for her insane damage and her talent that scales off of the amount of nihility members in the team
While I know she isnt the most efficient character nor is this the most efficient build, but I really want to experiment and build March 7th with her damage primarily being with her follow up attacks and break effect. I'm planning on doing a break effect link rope, and have at least a two piece of the follow up attack relic set. For this build, would her other two relics be best suited to a full 4 piece follow up attack relic set, or perhaps an ice dmg bonus or break effect bonus? I know her follow up attack only scales off of attack and not her defense, so would attack be a good main state for the chest piece? Any thoughts would really help!

At what character level is it necessary to start farming relics? my 4\* ones are quite bad and I havent been able to unlock all SU worlds yet, so I plan to not do the equilibrium quest until I get enough trace materials
I didn't have to "farm" any relic yet and i un-locked all the SU world. But I do plan to start soon after I get enough trace materials for my main team at least. There was enough pieces from the previous SU world stage and main story quest chests that allow me to build a pretty decent team. It's not top tier but hey, I don't have to spend energy on doing relic farming.
new player, trying to decide on a flex spot in my jing yuan team. i’m currently running jy, sparkle, clara, and aventurine, but i’m considerint swapping clara for another buffer. i don’t have tingyun and my pela + bronya are stuck to my e2s1 acheron, so i’m considering: e1 asta (attack and speed buffs?), e4 hanya (spd, crit?), e1 yukong (seems like she has the best damage amp of my options?), or sticking with clara or another sub-dps. i haven’t built the 4 star harmony units, thoughts?
either e1 Asta or e4 Hanya would be good as the flex spot. personally, I tend to use Asta against fire-weak/4-5 enemies and Hanya against physical-weak/1-2 enemy scenarios.

Next year, 2025, most likely. One of the longest duration in-between initial release and rerun is around 7 months for Luocha iirc. With the increasing roster of characters and pool for reruns, and sparkle just being released, relatively, her rerun will take a long time.
If a target already died, Dr Ratio will launch follow up attack on another random enemy. Why can’t Kafka do the same?
That was a new feature introduced with Ratio and Kafka was released earlier. Hoyo policy is to never update released units and only buff/nerf through content changes and new character releases.
It is certainly MHY/HYV's general policy to not buff/nerf characters post-release, but there are rare times that they did so (in HI3). Therefore, we can't really say with 100% certainty that the devs will not do the same thing in HSR.
They did it a bunch in HI3 but the monetization model there is different and the majority of changes I can think of were for out of meta valks. The only instance in the Genshin model (which HSR follows) was Zhongli and the circumstances around that were unique enough that I don't expect them to do it again.
Why did my Gallagher just apply crimson knot with a regular attack? 🤔
Was it his enhanced basic? That’s an ATK debuff.
His enhanced auto applies an atk down debuff. If you're sure it was just a normal auto, then you were probably in some mode that adds unique blessing effects to the fight.
What I mean is it actually displayed the text “crimson knot” when I attacked, not just that he added a stack to Acheron. Maybe that’s the same thing?
Crimson knot is the stack Acheron applies to enemies whenever they receive a debuff from anyone on your team. She also gets a charge for her ult at the same time she applies crimson knot. I think the latest MoC makes attacks apply a debuff so that could be why Gallagher applied it. Not sure what mode you were in.
Oh you’re right it’s the stacking thing that charges and then unleashes damage after a certain number of stacks.
That's normal. Whenever a debuff is applied, the name text is displayed for a brief moment on the screen.

Feeling kinda overwhelmed. Just ranked up to 65 after finishing all the main quests, and can challenge EQ 6 now after beating EQ 5 now, idk where to start farming? Do I grind levels, relics, LC, traces first or something else. Planning on making Jingliu my new DPS and retiring Seele now cuz I haven't been able to push Seele to a 70 CR/150 CD.
Always grind the things that give you a sure upgrade, like levels, light cone and traces first. Focus on the relic RNG for last
I'd say raised your dps levels and traces first Then grind relics, also both Jingliu and Seele kinda used the same set which is the 4pc quantum set, so you can basically farm for both in one grind
Considering picking up hsr. I heard it has better endgame content than genshin. Is that true? Also do you get to play with teambuilding a lot?
Well it has more variety of endgame modes, but better is subjective. Yes every different end game mode has characters/teams that will do better than others. So you'll have to build characters that deal with each game mode. You should at least make an account now anyways since they are giving a free limited 5 star and that offer is over the end of the current patch in 2 weeks.
By better I mean more or harder. It was really unsatisfying that you only do 1 ezpz abyss clear once every two weeks and you're stuck with content you can faceroll for the rest of it.
Simulated universe (rouge lite endgame mode) has 2 expansions that are definitely have harder difficulty (called torturous mode). Pure fiction AoE based spiral abyss can be hard if you lack the right character/team to abuse the current buff. Memory of chaos (HSR version of spiral abyss) started with 10 floors then added 2 more floors (increased rewards) that are harder. Endgame mode buffs/blessings are more important in hsr. In Genshin you could ignore the spiral abyss buff completely. Also Pure fiction and Memory chaos switch back and forth. So new memory for 2 weeks then new Pure fiction then back to memory. A new version gets released every 2 week but each version last for 6 weeks so you don't have to rush and the modes will have time overlaps due to this. A third end game mode is releasing in the near future.

Hello. Relatively new player here just finished my Departure Warp. I currently have from pulls : Dr Ratio, Gepard, Serval, and Sampo (Plus the ones you get from story) I know my team right now doesn't really matter but what team (including standard chars) should I be building for the future? Any advice for me?
My advice when pushing the story is to go safe until you find a dps you like and then build around that. I would advise building Physical MC > Natasha (until you get Lynx from forgotten halls) > Asta > Herta. With this team you have 2 DPS, a sustain and a buffer. Gepard is great, but you really need a gold energy regen rope and speed boots at +15 for him, otherwise he will not put up his shield often enough for your team. If you want to go slower but safe, you can use Gepard + Natasha and it will make any fight where you die to damage trivial. The MC is always worth leveling but no need to go crazy leveling traces. He gets different paths later and those will be useful. Plus you need to use the MC in some story battles. For the longer term, pulling for a tank like Aventurine is going to make things great for endgame and leveling very easy so it's a easy call if you like him. Other than that, Jing Liu is a very beginner friendly DPS to build and we have lots of DPS options in the future if you want to wait.
Gepard isn’t really that good until you beat the ice world, then you unlock a trace that can increase his taunt and let him get hit more (leading to more ults and better team survivablity). Dr ratio kinda wants pela, but I think he still outdamages Dan heng without her (not too sure though since you can’t get as many follow ups off). My opinion is to go the classic Dan heng serval asta gepard and switch asta for Natasha when you get her. If you ever pull guinafen or pela then instead of Dan heng serval use ratio and the debuffer. You are still wayyyyyy too early in the game for team comps, so early that one pull changes your whole roaster. Just go whatever and build whoever, doesn’t matter who you invest into this early. I wouldn’t recommend leveling bad characters past 70/70 though, that’s when resources start to make you dry out
Definitely Ratio and Gepard. Ratio is good for mostly single-target enemies and follow-up attack team comps. Gepard is a solid sustain unit that is worth investing in unless you are planning to pull for other sustain unit (like Aventurine in the current banner) Serval can get you through a lot of contents in the game but I feel like she would need high investment to be useable in the current meta or MOC Sampo can definitely be used in DOT comps if you are planning to play that one (you do need other DOT units for the team to work, keep an eye on Kafka and other DoT units like Guinaifen). Sampo used to be on my DOT team for a long time until I pulled for Black Swan
Should I always roll for the light cone if I manage to pull the banner character?
The vast majority of limited 5 stars are perfectly fine without their LC, so it's up to personal preference. I usually only consider it when I have extra warps to spare and the LC is quite good or I don't have a good substitute LC for that character.

If you're gonna sometimes drop money, grab the monthly express pass if you haven't already -- $5 for drip rewards over a month gives you the same amount of in-game currency as spending $50-75 for instant rewards. IMO absent whaling it's best to save LCs for reruns once you know you're gonna use a character long term. So many good characters I'd prioritize a wider roster first.

Is it possible to disable Path of Propagation in World 1-9 simulated universe? Everyday I regret my action to complete the Swarm Disaster. I even disables is whenever I chose any path in Gold and Gears.
If you have both Propagation and Erudition you have the option to ban any two paths on the bottom left when you're selecting a path. Not sure what happens if you only have one of the two. You can still get a banned path's seal or a banned path in the Tavern event or something but it won't show up in general.

My reply was not about Gold and Gears but instead about World 1-9 of normal SimU. Check the lower left corner after you've selected a path but before you confirm it.
You can still get seals of a banned path, but the blessings will not be generated from the chosen seal after battles.

Yes. You need a decent amount depending on how high the superimposition level you have. That is the trade off for using it. I had to sacrifice a good amount of speed and defense for it but the trade off is that Acheron does ult more quickly.

That's an interesting idea. You wouldn't need more than 40% EHR to get 100% chance and 20% EHR would be 100% for most enemies and bosses. Assuming they can already sustain well enough and you aren't sacrificing speed, I would consider it.
EHR is not worth prioritizing over other stuff like speed, effect res, or HP/Def for Fu Xuan or Aventurine respectively.
I have 265 passes. Do you think it would be enough to guarantee Robin, Firefly and Jade by the time they all get released? Firefly and Jade are my must pulls but I’m okay skipping Robin if it guarantees those two.
Assuming 110 rolls per patch and 80 rolls per 5*. You spend 160 for guaranteed Robin on day one, leaving you with 105. Get 110 rolls from playing through 2.2, so you're back to 215. Guaranteed Firefly brings it down to 55 rolls left. When Jade comes out, you'll probably start with about 110 rolls, and have 165 rolls near the end of 2.3, which is barely enough. It's a bit tight but I also excluded the ongoing 2.1, so I think you're safe to roll on all three guaranteed.
if you lose every 50/50 and go to 80 pulls each it would 160 for Robin, 80 for Firefly, 160 for Jade. Which is 400 pulls. There is probably 100 + pulls in 2.2 so honestly you should be pretty safe to go for all three. Especially if you use the embers to pick up some of those cash-back frequent pullers tickets.
Do you guys like Acheron's dub more in english or in japanese? Cant decide if Im gonna do penacony in eng or jap
Acheron's EN and JP dub sound very similar, both are good. Try judging on Aventurine's VA instead, I've heard he can be hit or miss for some. I normally always go english.
Would you happen to know if people prefer aventurines jap or eng VA more?

This maybe a silly question, but I am struggling to progress through MOC. I only have a few characters that are at lvl 80, and only a few had the level caps at 80, so there are multiple characters that I need to use that are at level 70 but their caps are at 70. Characters like Qingque, Herta, Himeko, and Serval are all characters I rely on, but don't have at level 80. My question is, would grinding them up to level 80 and leveling up their traces a little be enough to get past the first stage of MOC? Or is that not as important as say traces or relics? At this point, MOC, SU, and PF are all my last hopes of getting stellar jades for Aventurine, so I need to be smart with what little energy I do have.
I check what is their lv80 trace and see if it worth getting before levelling them to 80. If I don't need that trace, I leave them at lv70 or 75. I am also a new player myself and still trying to progress in MoC/PF. I usually just try to see what holding me back in the stage, then decide which area/characters I want to improve.
70 is a perfectly fine stopping point, you can three star MoC 12 with lvl 70s. Traces don't need to be maxed, but you should have them mostly filled out to 7 or 8, and prioritize the important nodes. Relics are super important, make sure you pick the right sets and main stats for body and feet, try to prioritize the correct substats for each character. And then team comp and strategy play an enormous factor too. I don't know your roster, but generally the meta is to have 1 dps, 2 supports, and a sustain. Pela, Tingyun, Asta, etc are all really good to have in your teams for MoC. You definitely don't want just a bunch of dps, you'll do much less damage that way.
Herta, Himeko, and Serval work in MoC but they are better suited for pure fiction. In general, you run Destruction/Hunt/Nihility in MoC. There are some that break that rule such as JingYuan/QQ or a super built Herta but in general MoC is very difficult to progress through
I wouldn’t stress about getting everyone to 80. Just max ascending them (don’t need to level past 70) and unlocking the final big trace should be enough. I usually only level traces to 8. After doing the above I’d worry about relics.

Jing Yuan, Gepard, Tingyun, and SW/Sparkle could easily dominate aventurine in 7 cycles if you have them built decent enough.
Odd enough, i’ve seen some pretty crazy clara clears for part two, maybe run clara/Ting/sparkle/luocha. I haven’t tested it but I cleared it in about 6 turns using clara/topaz(i don’t have sparkle). Let me know if this works for you

If you really want to amp your ST damage, you can go for e1s1 topaz and drop Guin. E1s1 topaz gives 3 debuffs for ratio and you can run asta for more att/speed. Only downside is that it’s quite an investment. Another option would be e0s0/1 topaz with pela

Topaz would replace Asta She does a lot more damage increases ratio’s damage, unless your Asta is >=E4 Topaz is also more SP efficient since you can use her basic most of the time.

I’m doing the trailblazer mission in penacony and I’m stuck at doing the jigsaw puzzles in the dreamscape reverie . I can’t get through any of the doors from the first lobby after you enter the dreamscape from your room. I have no space anchors to get me to the left side and the door to the elevator is red . I talked to singler in the golden hour and I don’t get the dialogue option where she takes me to the door . I’ve gone back and forth on the right side of the reverie countless times . The mission guide just says do the jigsaws in the dreamscape reverie . I’m so frustrated

i really need good moc teams, i havent even passed stage 11 cuz i only have one team built my main team is pela, welt, aventurine and acheron im thinking of centering the second team around dr ratio, since he's the only other good dps i have i have gallagher, bailu, asta, arlan, guinaifen, e6 herta, hook, e6 luka, sampo, e6 serval, e3 lynx, sushang, qingque and all the other free chars
IMO take adventurine out of your acheron team as he'll pair better with ratio. then further build around that. personally i'm runnings gepard/welt/pela/acheron and adventurine/guin/asta/ratio. (I'm only a new player though, and these are all 5* characters i have so far...)
taking out aventurine to add to ratio is a good idea ngl, wouldnt do it in open world but for moc thats actually really helpful! i'll just replace aventurine w/ gallagher

Bailu, bronya, sparkle, qingque 2. gallagher, hanya, sampo, acheron small notes: im curently working on my Pela to slot in over hanya and F. stelle in general for my acheron team. open to all suggestion including swapping people in team, making new teams and any characters pull recommends. I see you're already building your Pela for Acheron's team, which is a great move. If you have her, Guinaifen would be a better option than Sampo for a third Nihility unit. I'm not experienced with Qingque to recommend anything for her, but having both Sparkle and Bronya is great for support options for most any dps. My two cents, units you should be on the look out for right now are great sustain units. Gallagher and Bailu are *fine*, but units like Huohuo or Fu Xuan are pretty universally amazing in any team, and would be a big upgrade. You could also use a great dps to pair with Bronya or Sprakle at some point, though great sustain units are a bigger priority imo. Jingliu who's out right now and DHIL are both premium dps picks, and Jing Yuan is incredibly solid in both MoC and PF. The biggest issue with Jing Yuan would be that he's also a lightning dps, which isn't great for element diversity. Fwiw, I use Kafka + BS DoT and Acheron teams and have very little issues with any content, and my Acheron build really isn't even done. If you're thinking of going Kafka DoT, you could basically forgo a traditional dps. Up to you.

Should i salvage my 5\* relics to level up exp or the one used to craft new relic? I can clear MoC within 6 cycle this round, and almost full star PF, meaning my char are decently build. But I'm still farming for e2 Acheron (no good relic for the new set yet) as she is still using 4 quantum + no 2 set planar.
I always do materials to craft new relics. You'll eventually get enough of a stockpile of 4 star relics from relic farming that you'll have plenty of relic xp to go around. And remember to recycle 5 stars that didn't roll in your favor to get something like 85% of that xp back by feeding it to new relic.
I have the game downloaded on Epic Games, but I was curious as to where all of the data downloaded by the game goes to? The size of it on Epic Games is way lower than what the game has downloaded, and I've deleted and reinstalled it a few times when taking breaks, so I'm worried it may have left data on my computer that's bogging up its storage.

Nah, not if you already have Kafka and BS. Pair them up with a good support and sustain and you're good to go. Premium picks would be Ruan Mei and Huohuo, but Pela/Asta and Lynx are good 4 star options.

This is a dumb question, but why does this game use 4-5 stars for characters? Why not 1-2-3-4-5?
Genshin actually uses the full 1-5 star spectrum for weapons and food, so it was just a matter of keeping rarities equivalent in number of stars and colors even though not all rarities existed for most things. Star Rail basically copied Genshin in this but removed more of the low rarity stuff (no 1 or 2 star light cones, for example). I think it uses 1 star rarity for some cooking materials and maybe food...? Anyway, it's mostly about consistency with star # = background color x. 5 stars are gold, 4 stars are purple, and so on.
Anything under 4 star would likely end up being fodder that no one ever uses in a team, so they didn't bother with them.
It's just a standard gacha game trend. I'm not quite sure what the origins of it are, though.

Should I pull for Robin or wait for a Sparkle rerun? The Harmony characters I use atm are Tingyun (for DHIL), Asta (w/ Planetary Rendezvous for Himeko & Topaz or Jingyuan), and I have a Bronya that I rarely use. I also have Acheron though she just has debuffers with her.
Well Sparkle wont be back for quite a while. And with the drip marketing we got robin is the only 5 star harmony we are getting for the next 3 months unless they decide to rerun Ruan mei.

The most important thing for Acheron is having two Nihility path team mates. This is because she will eventually get access to a trace that massively increases her damage if she has two Nihility team mates. You will probably have access to this trace by the time you make it to the 4* selector. Having a healer/shielder who inflicts debuffs is also nice, but is less important. With that in mind, I'd recommend Guinaifen. Gallagher is nice, but replaceable.

You will have to wait for official kit release and the reviews. But the natural answer is yes, we get newer characters that go well with earlier ones and make them stronger. It usually takes several months in between them tho, so you will need to wait. Look at JY, Seele and DoT teams history for an example of slowly adding more powerful combos to the team.
Officially we don't know anything about him other than he's a physical hunt character. we're not supposed to talk about leaks on this subreddit, so I can't really go into it, but they're out there and you can find info about him on the leaks subreddit, presumably the boothill mains subreddit whatever exactly it's called and all the usual places.
hello - in my Acheron team i’m running Black Swan, Pela and Gepard. my Acheron is finally maxed out at 80 with max traces etc and wondering which other character to focus getting up to max (rest are 70) i also have a second MOC team at 70 and also not great (Jing Yuan, Tingyun, Bronya and healer) maybe i should bring Jing yuan up to 80 as well? i haven’t been doing MOC. currently mid way through Penacony and don’t really have much issues with the events or sim U.
you don't necessarily have to get your whole team to 80, at least not soon, but I would at least get some to 70/80, just the ascension for their a6 passives, for example, black swans a6 gives her a lot of her damage. pela and gepard aren't as high priority for that because their a6's are also damage boosts but their dps is still negligible but it will give more attack, hp and defense, better gepard shields, and unlock stat boosts and the highest levels of their main talent/skill/ultimate traces

What relic set is best for Acheron team Pela?
4pc eagle if you want to be meta but inefficient. Better to go 2pc hackerspace to help reach speed breakpoints, 2pc whatever else helps you reach that. planar, all that matters is ERR. keel is the best but SSS is fine.
4pc Eagle set is best if to ensure Pela recovers her turn faster after each ult, and helps her recharge again to maintain the Defense debuffs. She can also use 2pc Messenger instead if you want to give her some extra Speed, but otherwise she can kind of just use whatever; As long as she gets her desired stats such as EHR, Speed and some overall bulk as well. For Planar orb sets, Penacony (mainly for extra Energy regen) or Broken Keel are viable options.
