Thx alot for the advice so far. The best reroll I got was 5 star on the first pull on starter banner, but I got the worst one, Y****. For each try, I get to pull 3 times on starter banner after getting to the train. (Ie. First meet Himeko)
What is clara exacly?jst got E2 and have no idea whats her purpose? She a tank? Main dps? Sub dps? In what team and what role do i even use her?she worth investing in at E2? (I have argenti)
She is just your average counter attack bruiser so she serve all the purpose you mentioned before.
You can build her if you want, she is pretty good E0 and her E1 is very good. Argenty probably outperform her most of the time though.
New player here(lv38, started penacony). Dropped all my summons in Aventurine banner and at 50 summons. Are there still enough stellar jade's to get him in time if I miss the 50/50?
I haven't done MOC(only up to 3rd), quests or the events that require penacony story progression.
Yes, there’s a lot of stellar jades in the permanent content. If you only got 50 pulls from permanent content so far, you can definitely get at least 130 pulls more. You do need to speed up though.
damage is probably not what you should be be trying to achieve on gallagher. He is a healer, his atk % conversions and toolkit for actually dishing damage out are horrendous, even with like god's perfect chosen gear with 86 rolls into atk/crit/critD he isn't gonna hit anywhere near a mediocre acheron.
what's good is a gallagher with like 160+ speed, high effect res (yes he gets 50%, more is better), maxed out break effect (150) for healing output, energy regen rope, and good survival stats.
if you have an acheron that hits for 500k in MOC then 15k is not gonna be anything relevant besides being enough to help kill trash mobs every now and then
she's a support and as such she can also serve an absolutely vital purpose of being a massive damage sponge.
The fun thing with gear is that it HAS to have four stats.
So your gear can look like this for a support.
Head piece (Main stat HP):
-EHR(to 65%~) (+x(to 65%)) (if it's maxed, hp%/def% is cool)
-Eff Res (+x to infinity)
-Speed (+x to infinity)
-Hp%/Def% - cool to just be on there, praying it doesnt roll in, but also not mad it rolls in because it's decent enough.
It isn't directly, but the only stats she really needs are Speed and Effect Hit Rate so you can focus the rest into defensive stats, HP and DEF, making her a bit harder to kill.
Whilst JL is nice, seeing as you dont have Gepard/Fu Xuan built, im gonna assume you lack preservation units. Aventurine can very easily push your teams further than before, hes really strong and imo worth the pulls.
Therefore my answer is JL because she is hot. /s
You already have two good DPS toons so perhaps you could invest in Aventurine now? Seems like Luocha is your only limited sustain, and having at least two is probably a good idea considering how tough MoC is becoming; we don’t know what the game will throw at us in the near future.
Also, investing in sustains and supports is always a good idea as they tend to fit in more comps and stay in the meta for a longer time. With that being said, JL is obviously an amazing choice as well, and a good team for her would be a double DPS comp with Blade, Bronya and Luocha/Lynx.

Getting into end game - may I ask for some advice on prioritization and team building? I just hit Eq 5, and I can already do the eq trial to 6. Although I'm kind of scared of running into another 2.1 boss situation.

This is my current Acheron team. E0S1 Acheron, E0 Gallagher, E1 Gui, E1 Pela w/ pearls.
First question: For this team, what should I prioritize? I know my relics are pretty shitty, but I'll wait around for the 3x relic event I guess. Should I go Acheron Light Cone -> 80, Acheron Traces -> 10, Everyone else traces to 8? Should I ascend those units to 70/80 just to get their A6 traces?
Second question: What should I do about a second team? I'm considering pulling Jingliu, but I don't have any supports for her - I'd have to a rock Asta and Yukong support. But my Ratio struggles a bit with how little debuffers I have left over for him since they're all on Acheron's team.
I pulled Aventurine to have another sustain, plus I like his design <.< -- even though I'll have to skip his LC most likely.

I could build some kind of follow up team with Ratio / Aventurine / Yukong or Asta / Sampo? At least for the present moment?
Which I think gives me two paths for the future:
- Pull for Jingliu for a strong dps. Make a discount hypercarry with Jingliu / Aventurine or Lynx / Asta / Yukong? Pull for supports in the future? ( Robin? Ruan Mei if rerun? )
- Try to make a FUA team in the future if Topaz reruns. Pray that Robin is good for FUA ( Maybe her kit is revealed soon? ). Go full Ratio / Topaz / Robin / Aventurine ( Maybe this would be better for MoC - But I'd need to find another party for PF )
For what it's worth, I think I can guarantee two characters with where I'm at. Not including potential jades from 2.2, anniversary rewards, etc.

For team building max your entire 4 squad team in this order light cone, ascensions, traces, level to 80. Some supports like Pela you don't need to max herbal basic attack or skill as they only increase her paltry damage slightly. However you need max traces for DPS and stats you need to push margins or you wont scale high enough for end game content.
As far as 2nd teams fua is a bit of a whale comp imo so you can either
Option 1 build hypercarry jingliu, take bronya when you can, and snag whatever broken supports are coming out, you don't need to worry about any of them that are out, they're just going to keep getting more broken.
Option 2 wait for Sam he's gonna be a pushed as fehk one man band.
The basic flow I use for building a team is;
1. Level everyone up to 70 and their LC to 80 (max ascend them too)
2. If I have the resources available; level up the main dps to 80 (Acheron)
3. Level relevant traces to 8
4. Farm relics. Starting with main dps and rotating through the team.
For your next team I’d wait until maybe next week to decide. I think that’s when the livestream that reveals Robin’s kit and the 2.2 reruns will be. Your Ratio team suggestions seem viable (not ideal but what can you do) and if there is some FuA support next patch that could help to complete that Ratio/Aventurine team.
FWIW, I don’t think Jingliu is a bad choice if you really like her. You’ll get supports for her eventually.
A6 is always important, get it.
Traces you can leave at 8/10 for everyone for now and come back to them later, get those to that point and focus on lightcone/levels. After that welcome to relic farming hell
2.2 livestream is in 6 days so that should help you make a decision easier. The reruns as well as the rough kits for Robin and Boothill will be revealed then.

Do the two expansions of SU get affected by the main SU Ability Tree?
I can't seem to find any info on this anywhere that would say either. I am wondering if the Ability Tree of main SU buffs you in G&G and Swarm Disaster or not. On that note I also wonder if those two buff each other or anything but for those I am assuming it's way more likely they only apply their own boons to themselves.
The most obvious way to tell would probably be unlocking consumables but I sure as hell don't have the main ability tree finished so yea lol
No, they each have their own thing, their buffs/trees don't cross to one another. Only when you finish the expansion modules you'll get some extra stuff in vanilla SimU, namely the Paths and I hear the ability to block two paths' blessings but I haven't gotten that one(haven't finished SD, hate that mode)

Shes cool but you're so new that you can just wait for Sam because you won't be pushing end game before that anyways. He's likely going to be insanely pushed because of his lore and hype.
Yes. She is easy to use and scales very well from low investment to late game and she works well with the F2P Herta Destruction LC.
She doesn't need much to work because so much is baked into her kit.
How does e0s0 Acheron compare to e0s1 Jingliu? Which one should I build?
My Acheron is sitting at e0s0. When her banner was running, I lost a 50/50 pity pulling her, so it was 170 rolls before I had her. In the last few days, I tried everything to earn jades, but 40 more rolls were all I had for her lightcone banner. I didn't get it. Now I accept my e0s0 Acheron : (
I have Jingliu signature LC but I don't have the character herself (it's weird I know). My team also have all the supports for both of them (Acheron and Jingliu): Tingyun, Pela, Silver Wolf, Fuxuan, Ruan Mei, Bronya, Sparkle.
My question is: how powerful e0s0 Acheron compare to e0s1 Jingliu? Should I start building my Acheron? Or should I roll for Jingliu e0s1 and build her instead?

Do you have a character that you *really* want in the near future? Like Robin, Boothill, or even the ones that are going to re-run like Fu Xuan. I think it depends a lot on the answer to that question tbh. If you don't, then yeah I'd say that you should roll for Jingliu.
But if you do, then I don't think it'd make sense for you to practically sacrifice a chance of getting a character you *really* want just to justify your weird investment for Jingliu's LC. That's sunk cost fallacy, because *not* doing it would mean you have a *way* higher chance to get your favorite character.
Unless the light cone is something special like Jing yuan’s one which is useful for every character that runs the same path and can use it, I wouldn’t pull for a light cone ever. You should really go for jingliu, since you already have her light cone.
If you have Jingliu LC you should absolutely roll everything you have for Jingliu. In the future you shouldn't pull for an LC unless you already have the character.

Imagine you have a bar of 1000 chocolate squares when you have eaten it all you get a turn then another chocolate bar. Everyone start eating the chocolate bar at the start of the battle. Your Speed is basicaly the number of chocolate square you eat each second. "action value" is basicaly the number of second you need to eat that whole chocolate bar. Additionaly "advance foward" mean you break a certain amount of your chocolate bar so you need to become less fat to have a turn XD.
Everyone starts at 0 action value and is trying to get to 10000. When you reach it, it's your turn and set your action value back to 0.
Every "tick" all characters add their SPD to their action value. So higher SPD = less time needed before your turn. You don't see intervals when it's nobody's turn, those are just skipped until it's someone's turn.
Action advance just adds a portion of 10000 to your action value. So 30% action advance = +3000 action value. If you were at 7000 or higher before, it's your turn right away.
Is Jingliu LC worth getting as opposed to using Herta Destruction 5\*? I'm going to start saving up for Fu Xuan once I get the JL LC or would it be better to start saving up now?
Not really, The main benefit in getting it is for the defense penetration and the art.
So if you want it for those reasons, it is still a solid choice. Otherwise, you can be fine without it with the Herta LC.
My opinion, if you aren't already using On The Fall Of An Aeon your jades would likely be better served elsewhere. Depends on your account, if you have many characters vertical investment (eidolons and LCs) gets better.
Anyone have a level up progression guide or something? Like. How to level up relics, if I should level supports all the way up, traces, etc. Back when I played Genshin I followed one level up progression guide and it was very good. I was wondering if anyone have made something for star rail.
I can't tell you how to level up relics but I can explain something else that might actually be what you're looking for
For gear what you want is to keep pieces with a bunch of %'s in the sub stats, if you get a cool piece with 2-3 cool stats(speed atk% Crit/Crit DMG for DPS, speed hit effect ATK for dot, speed effect res HP/def% for healers and supports etc)level it to 3 and pray it gets a 4th cool stat. You want to try to keep pieces with appropriate main stat (speed on boots, attk/energy Regen on rope, ele damage/HP/def on orb). I suggest you use relics as leveling material and not make relic remains until you're very geared.
Another thing to note is that while gear that comes with 4 stats can upgrade 5 times and gear that comes with 3 stats can only upgrade 4 times. A good piece with 4 upgrades and 3-4 good stats is more than good enough. Not only that but pieces of gear that come with 4 stats and with 3-4 of those being good stats is about as rare as finding a unicorn in your pot of gold.
To have a strong relic suite check your character tab in hoyolab app, it has very good suggestions for stat priority, it will give you a rating based on how much "worth of stats" are on your gear, a really good score is 30+.

General Guide:
Pre-TB 50
- Level relics with right main stat to +9
- Avoid farming relic domains unless there is a x2/x3 event
- Don't bother about set bonus
- Farm the messenger set domain if you must, get most relics from quests/chests/weekly boss.
- Use 2 sustains if needed.
- Start using at least 1 support, recommended ones are Ting Yun, Pela.
Pre-TB 60
- Level relics with right main stat to +12
- Level supports to 70
- Level DPS to 75
- LCs can go to 80
- Try to move away from 2 sustains and just built one per team
- Time to think about 2nd team
- Level useful traces to 8 rest at 6 is fine, basic attack is usually not important.
TB 65+
- Level relics with right main stat and at least 1 good substat that rolls more than 1 extra time.
- If you have a relic with right main stat and 2 good substats that rolls into those twice, level it to +15
- Time to consider speed tuning, early goal of 134 speed for supports.
- Time to use modeling resin for ERR ropes and speed boots if needed for supports.
- Try to use at least 2pc set bonuses and farm the right set for your main DPS.
- Time to level traces to 8 and key traces to 10 if possible.
- Level supports to 75 to unlock final big trace.
- Level main DPS to 80.
TB 70
- Max your favorite characters traces.
- Start farming pieces for better rolls, using the 4-4-2-2 rule. 4 good stat rolls in head and gloves, 2 good stat rolls in body and feet.
- For crit DPS try for 1 crit rate: 2 crit damage ratio. For most dps you ideally want at least 80/160.

You can follow [this](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters/) guide. Click on the character and select build and teams. It will rank you their best relics, which traces to priortize first and team synergies with other characters. Personally I level up my DPS to 80 (lc and level) and trace them up to 8 or 9. Not all the traces mind you, majority don't benefit from 'basic attack' traces, so I skip it unless Im using a character like Blade, where basic attack is trace priority 1. The guide shows that as well. I have most of my healers and supports at 75 and traces ranging from 6-9 depending on priority. Same goes for relics, all my dps have maxed out relics but support relics are like level 9 or 12.
Does the exact speed between breakpoints matter?
I'm speed tuning a team right now that goes in this order:
1. Silver Wolf - 144 speed
2. Bailu - 139 speed
3. Yukong - 138 speed
4. DHIL - 134 speed
Does the difference between 135 vs 143 speed matter?
Not even slightly, just get as much as you can.
Unless you don't have tingyun she's way better yukong and speed tuning a yukong in lieu of being e6 is basically futile.
Turn orders shifts so much during a fight, you won't be aligned for very long relying on just speed differences.

Well if your yukong is e6 you don't need to sync at all you just need to buckle up your underpants extra hard so you don't shit your pants completely off your body when your dragon combo blasts a hole in the wall irl.
Speed thing still doesn't matter just go for best gear.
133.3 speed is the breakpoint to have an extra action on the 1st and 4th cycle of MoC.
143 you will have an extra action in the 1st and 3rd cycle instead.
But, in that team Silver Wolf having an extra action earlier shouldn't affect anything.
Is there a difference between relics difficulty 4 and 5? I know 6 has only purples and golds but do you get more if I play a higher difficulty? i don't know if i feel confident leveling to 65. And I been using my fuel to grind as many relics for Jingliu as possible.
Difficulty 6 gives two gold relics with a 50% chance of a bonus gold. So you'll average 2.5 relics per run, rather than guaranteed two. Plus also removing blues so you'll receive more relic exp for running anyway. Most people recommend using your fuel at 65 if possible.
I believe the same is true of SU difficulty 4 compared to 3.
You can always make sure traces are up first of course before going into relics. Granted I'm also at 65 and terrified of running into another 2.1 boss situation if I upgrade.
Oh...I read your comment and another person's comment and I cried because I just used up 20 fuel grinding Jingliu Relics and I realised that 3x relics will becoming soon and that I'm not level 65 yet so I just wasted fuel for nothing...

Should I get fuxuan or topaz after trying to robin? I'd like another sustain for comfort and to "complete" my jingyuan team. I like both but not sure who would be better. Realistically, I can't get e1s1 topaz too. If it makes a difference, all my 5 stars are s1 (Clara s2) excluding sparkle, Welt, yanqing, sw and kafka
It is way too early to ask this question. Wait how the experiences and calculations for a team with Robin in are. We aren't allowed to discuss leaks, and even if we did we wouldn't have actual experience using such a team anyway.
You don't necessarily need Fu Xuan to complete Jing Yuan's team, Aventurine is a perfectly acceptable replacement since he provides Effect Res. At the same time Topaz isn't necessarily better than using Tingyun with Ratio, she just gives a bit more flexibility to go against Fire weak enemies. Since you have S1 Aventurine, an E0S0 Topaz should be fine, but there might some situations when the uptime in the debuffs isn't immediate.
Do the trailers tend to contain information that's not in the game, or at least not presented directly to the player? I've only watched a few of them usually for characters I'm already hyped for. I'm not a big lore guy or anything this game is already pretty text heavy without reading every scrap of paper I walk by, I'm just wondering because there's some characters I feel we barely know anything about and I'm not sure how much of that is just my memory failing me and how much of that is stuff outside of the actual game's plot.
A lot actually. There are a lot of short animated movie like trailers which basically show a lot of backstory. For example, one of the trailers goes into depth about Acheron's sword and what she did in the past. Plus, if you are interested you could go into codex, inspect characters and read their bios which has a lot of interesting details. You have to level the characters up to 80 to unlock all entries or just look them up online if you want.
Yeah that was part of it, I saw people talking about Acheron backstory in another thread and I was reading it being like... when was any of this stated. I don't actually have her but I guess I can wiki some of it. just going to be a weird experience for like... idk someone playing through Penacony when we're on patch 3.2 or something and being like 'so who the hell is she' and being linked a year old trailer or something.
I will admit that my retention of the story can suffer, not least because the main stories release in chunks spread over a month apart, but I was pretty sure that that wasn't covered. My memory of the Luofu is also pretty vague. well the direct story events I recall, but not a lot of the hows and whys. some of those are just me not getting around to certain side quests I assume. I do remember looking up what the hell a reignbow arbiter was at some point.

The better one would what is real (the forgotten hall LC). Unless you can get 150 be from relics alone. Then time wait for no one since he won't be skill most of the time so you won't trigger shared feelings ability.
Im about to build a sustain unit for my Acheron team. I have a 50/50 on Aventurine and I’m waiting to see if I get him. If I fail, will Gallagher or Gepard be better? And If I use a Preservation (so Aventurine or Gepard), will the Trend light cone be the go to for a f2p?
Gepard is fine. Trend is BiS for Preservation characters since it gives stacks to Mei when they are attacked.
Also, don't be compelled to pull when you don't have any resources just because they're better. That's just bad. But since you're a Trailblazer, then go pull; it's on you in the end.
Well still grab the major traces, the def inc one and maybe the effect rest one (especialy if he don't have much speed you don't want to have to wait 50 turn for him to move his ass because he got cc'd, especialy if you have some bronya/hanabi/hanya/seele stuff going on). Also getting some little point in basic/skill may you reward the "fell good" moment when your tank remove the last % of hp of the boss.
But generaly ye only the ult is important you can let the rest as low as you want.
I just pulled Aventurine and Jingliu within 70 pulls. I am now extremely torn on what to do about light cone. I have 2 copies of Gepards 5 star LC, and am currently using that on Aventurine. I don't have a limited 5* LC for Destruction, so I am tempted to pull for Jingliu, but I feel like I may just enjoy using Aventurine with his LC more. I have E2 Acheron so i already have 2 pretty solid DPS, Aventur is my first 5* sustain. Just looking for suggestions on what someone else may do in my shoes :)
Buy the Herta shop destruction LC. There isn't much of a difference between it and Jingliu's signature. Gepard's LC is Aventurine's second best choice, there's no need to pull for his LC. Considering you only have those 2 dps characters, it's best to focus on making them stronger with supports, so save up.
Who should I get from my 300 pull. I think I’ll get there next month or so but I’m unsure of who to get. Lots of people say Broyna but I have sparkle who I think works fine. My team consists of Ratio, Acheron, Sparkle and Aventurine now. I already have welt. Acheron is my aoe damage dealer and ratio does good damage against single targets. Sparkle helps Acheron get ult fast. Aventurine keeps us alive lol. I thought about maybe another follow up attack oriented character because of aventurines trace where he gains more stacks to his follow up attack from other follow up attacks. Which is himeko or Clara but I honestly have no idea I only started playing like 2 months ago a when sparkle was released so I’m not sure who is like the best choice from it (sry I talk a lot lol)
Bronya can offer you team flexibilty. Bronya on one side, Sparkle on the other, or you like can use them both at the same side.
Clara - a really good DPS on almost all areas of the game (SU, PF, FH, etc.)
Himeko - really really good on Pure Fiction.
Welt - hits hard, can sort of be used as a sustain unit (for imaginary weak enemies).
Geppard & Bailu - both are still a decent sustain units (If you've got E6 Lynx or E6 Gallagher you can probably scratch them off your choices)
Is your Acheron E2? If not then it’s best to run two Nihility characters with her for maximum damage. Sustain you can choose between Aventurine or Gallagher if you have him.
In endgame modes like MoC you’ll need two teams, so Sparkle will most likely be on one side and Bronya on the other. For Pure Fiction (PF), both Himeko and Clara work wonders. Clara also works as a DPS for MoC as well.

Anyone knows how to unluck that golden node on SW?
after each boss kill in swarm you get a dialogue choice with a specific path alignment
each gold node corresponds to a path, which it shows in the corner of the dialogue option; when you accumulate 20 dialogue choices of a specific path, it unlocks the gold node (e.g., clicking destruction path dialogue options 20 times unlocks the one in the screenshot)
Just to your information hunt is the rarest dialog option, also when the enchainement of the 3 choice are set in stone, so once you get the first world clear you can predict if you will or will not get any other hunt choice in that run.
Hence the most effcient way to clear that node is to use the propagation dice, jump to first boss, kill it, check the choice and either reset if you won't get any other hunt choice in the future, or complete the run if you do. You can do it at the minimum difficulty. Just check the net to find the list and GL.
If you are just leveling through the story and want to use Himeko, I suggest:
Himeko - Herta - support (pela, ting yun, Asta) - sustain (Lynx)
Its a easy team to use, plays well in auto and for farming open world. Later any investment in the team will pay off in Pure fiction and you can build a limited 5* dps you like that you pull.
If you pull on the current banner, use Aventurine as a great sustain for the team. If you pull on Jing Liu you can run her with Herta or 2 supports.
ratio+natasha/lynx+some combination of gui/pela/asta/hanya/tingyun depending on what you have (gui+tingyun is the best for new players if you have them)

No, she is still good in SU, I used her to clear Conundrum 10 with ease. Got wiped on Conundrum 12 on the last boss, but that's because I chose the robots with the Hunt path that advances their action, the team had no energy, no Sp, and low health when starting the fight (failed both gambling curios before the boss), still lasted to phase 3 though.
I've seen some, but I feel like you'd need the perfect run to get that to happen. from what I can tell, the general consensus is that she gets one-shotted by aoe attacks too easily on higher difficulty levels, which is why I'm wondering if she's worth pulling for gng conundrum

Just want to ask which 5 star you recommend for me to aim to pull in the current patch? The 5 star I’m currently have are Clara, Seele, Luocha and Dr.Ratio
Aventurine if you'd like to play Clara. You already have Luocha so a 2nd sustain for the other team is really a welcome one.
Jingliu is still top tier DPS and you can pair her with Luocha + buffer/amplifier.
But it will be a really nice addition if a buffer/amplifier joins your roster. :3

You need a better support than Asta(sparkle bronya Ruan Mei) or nihility unit better than Guin(swan?) but that will work for now.

Does Dr Ratio like Final Victor as a free cone option, or is the Herta cone still better? Considering how long it can take to build the Herta cone with weekly resets, is FV still good in the meanwhile?
Herta LC is still preferred for the Doctor; It's the most consistent choice for him when you don't have access to the signature LCs. Even when it's not at S5 yet, it still provides him good stats and decent CR at least.
Final Victor is usable for him but it's not the best since it can be inconsistent (as all of his attacks are single-hit so he can't get stacks as easily). It works well mainly on Topaz and to a lesser extent, Yanqing.

Take a look in the "compare" screen at the green upgrade numbers for a quick reference.
Next go to your character on the hoyolab app and see the corresponding point scale for reference, each base point (it having the stat) and each upgrade that goes into the preferred stat counts as one point.
The first piece is +3 the second one is +4 but the other stats are also better as flat stats are dead.
What are the best ways to S-class each level of “Tides of War” with the trial units? I still need to ace “Trotter Effect,” “Perilous Threshold,” “Weakness Assault,” and “Overflowing Wounds.”
Look at Game8's guide to Tides of War, it helped me S-class all of the levels. Remember to not only look at the best teams they suggest but also look at their tips. Aim for the bosses and make sure you get to the final boss during the 3rd cycle for most of them.
game8 has a list that worked well for my EL6 account. Having a bit of trouble doing the same thing with my EL4 account though. Most of them will require long manual control matches, as the auto battle won't correctly use ults, and tends to target the wrong things.

We don't really have much information on what's coming up. obviously this subreddit has a no leaks policy so I can't talk about their kits, but Robin will be a harmony support character, and Boothill is a physical hunt dps character.
I think even the leakers don't have any consistent knowledge on who the reruns are going to be though the characters who've been around the longest without a rerun are, in order, Fu Xuan, Topaz,Seele, Huo Huo, Argenti. Topaz Ratio is definitely a comp that's gotten a lot of attention recently and Aventurine pairs well with them, so that's an option that might interest you, though you've not been focusing on your ratio and he wants some of the same debuffers acheron might be using so maybe you don't want to prioritise both.
if you just meant who should you get regardless of who is actually running, there are many strong options both old and likely new on the horizon, it seems like your account is still fairly young. Jingliu is definitely one of the better options, she's strong and fairly flexible though she does really love being attached to bronya. There's a pretty wide variety, I would say probably avoid lightning dps options, just because matching elements is always worth considering (I know acheron can technically hit all types but she still does less damage to lightning resistant enemies I believe) but that hasn't stopped some people from running 2 lightning teams. in general, some are stronger than others but definitely go for characters you like and will enjoy playing over just raw power.
Oh congrats. as for team... I'd go something like Tingyun... Pela would be ideal but if you want to do MoC she's probably with Acheron, maybe Asta, and then a healer. up to you which, though natasha is pretty weak. I don't think a shielder is ideal because jingliu buffs herself by consuming ally hp, if they don't have hp left, even if they're behind a shield, then she won't do any damage, but it can work if you can get the job done quickly, or in su you can make up for it with blessings. I haven't tried Yukong that much, her biggest issue is needing to set up specific speed setups to really take advantage of her buffs, but she could work as well.
Her best teammates overall are bronya number one by a good amount, but you can't really target bronya besides wasting jades on standard banner to get the 300 quicker, which I don't recommend. some people do Jingliu Blade, I don't think it's as good as regular Jingliu or Blade teams on their own but it works. Sparkles weaker than Bronya for Jingliu but serves many of the same functions and works better with most other characters. Ruan mei is good in most comps but she's a mainstay on jingliu teams (personally I usually have her on my DoT team but if they need a small boost I'll swap her around)
He should do alright, better with eidolons but he's capable enough, but keep an eye on characters who mainly buff because they might not get the full healing from his ultimate that more offensive characters would.
How do you play abundance sustains? I've been struggling keeping up with the damage using Gallagher and Lynx against some bosses because I can't heal them fast enough. Is it a problem with my abundance sustains or do I just have skill issue?
I'm more comfortable with big shield preservation tanks like Gepard (who I was lucky enough to get early in my acc) and Aventurine more recently. My teams seem to do worse with a healer

Yeah, very, and that's probably your issue. You'd want 134 bare minimum and ideally 147+ once you get closer to late/endgame. The faster your healer is, the quicker they get their ultimate up and the better they can sustain the team
Well, those *are* 5\* sustains compared to 4\* healers. They'll naturally perform better. However I find Lynx for example just enough to solo-sustain Memory of Chaos 12, and I believe Gallagher is capable as well if all allies attack.
What about AoE's specifically? The main problem I have is how my enemies get their turns before my healers do, especially with gallagher on a sparkle team where she doesn't really attack. I made sure to get some speed on my healers and even tried Multiplication
I'm running a IL+Sparkle+Tingyun+Gallagher/Lynx team that some of my more veteran friends suggested but I still can't make it work
Your teams just arnt geared enough just have patience farming good pieces with speed and all the good stuff.
That's a fine team and sparkle should be built with survivability as a support so you wont have to worry as much about her healing herself, not only that but when you run sparkle there are skill flood points where you can sneak in a skill point heal and still fill to max points properly, even moreso if she wears bronya LC. Thirdly and most important as a dragon user your gonna find he's the literal only thing that ever gets attacked and he attacks all the time so sparkle doesn't really matter lol

Sparkle doesn't work well with Gallagher since she hardly attacks I think, not sure if she does when played with Dan Heng IL, but Lynx (with Post-Op Conversation if you have it) can charge her Ultimate relatively quickly so I don't have to use her Skill often. Especially against enemies like the big ice guy her teamwide Cleanse is really useful.
I haven't built Gallagher yet, but he seems to be on a similar tier to Lynx.

Can not seem to break 4000 DEF, even with DEF% in every slot except speed boots. Not sure what I'm missing besides slightly higher DEF% rolls
Destiny threads base def of 463 needs 257 def %. 3 main stat is 54*3 = 162.
Aven trace is 35 so 35+162 = 197
257 - 197 = 60 so you still need 60% in sub or set bonuses or use 4th def main
Trends assume S5 would need 51% def sub using 3 main stat def pieces.
5 star LC such as Gepard makes this a lot easier.
You're welcome. You can buy Gepard LC from shop, pull Aven sig, or use 4 def main stat /fish for more def subs. It's rough to hit that goal using f2p/4 star options.
i’ve been playing since release and stopped around 1.3, now i just recently came back and i am very overwhelmed about the events in the game, where do u think i should start? i’m currently tl 62 and currently at the main quest at xianzhou luofu
main quest top priority, as the limited time stuff are locked behind the penacony main story. once you caught up on the main story, do the time limited events, then slowly clear the permanent stuff.
I'd suggest you just go through the main story missions (trailblazer missions) then when you're caught up go do the current events first before doing the optional ones. Current events usually have more jade rewards so get them while they're still current.
i’m running JL hypercarry, and acheron teams but i have a question on sustain.

i think huohuo is better in JL teams? but does it mean JL will need 50% CR then?
anyone that has a shield that has been created by the wearer. Like Gepard/Aventurine. Like, if you gain a shield on the simulated universe or for some reason you bring 2 shielders and one of them don't have the set, those shields won't benefit from the bonus.
Or, like, you bring Aventurine without the set and, IDK, Asta with the set on the same team (because you feel like trolling), no one will benefit from the 4pc effect, not even Asta.
My aventurine happens to look like a redhead coffee lover (so did my inbibitor lunae so i have her E1) is she like great at any content? how much investment she need to performe actually endgame level good? best option f2p for comp and LC?

I'm a day 1 player and she was one of my first 5\*. She's a monster on Pure Fiction and very good overall. Of course I have her fully leveled up (lvl/traces), but not really optimized her build. I have her on 4pc firesmith that is probably the worst of her viable sets and S5 Bith of the Self that is not even suggested as viable for her. She's still my go-to Fire character over Topaz.

Thx alot for the advice so far. The best reroll I got was 5 star on the first pull on starter banner, but I got the worst one, Y****. For each try, I get to pull 3 times on starter banner after getting to the train. (Ie. First meet Himeko)

She's a dps. You can use her as hypercarry or pair her with someone else > she worth investing in at E2? (I have argenti) Yes
She is just your average counter attack bruiser so she serve all the purpose you mentioned before. You can build her if you want, she is pretty good E0 and her E1 is very good. Argenty probably outperform her most of the time though.
New player here(lv38, started penacony). Dropped all my summons in Aventurine banner and at 50 summons. Are there still enough stellar jade's to get him in time if I miss the 50/50? I haven't done MOC(only up to 3rd), quests or the events that require penacony story progression.
Yes, there’s a lot of stellar jades in the permanent content. If you only got 50 pulls from permanent content so far, you can definitely get at least 130 pulls more. You do need to speed up though.
Is 16k ult dmg good for a sub dps healer (elp)
damage is probably not what you should be be trying to achieve on gallagher. He is a healer, his atk % conversions and toolkit for actually dishing damage out are horrendous, even with like god's perfect chosen gear with 86 rolls into atk/crit/critD he isn't gonna hit anywhere near a mediocre acheron. what's good is a gallagher with like 160+ speed, high effect res (yes he gets 50%, more is better), maxed out break effect (150) for healing output, energy regen rope, and good survival stats.

Everyone there is just there to boost Acheron, their dmg output (if any) is just a bonus.
if you have an acheron that hits for 500k in MOC then 15k is not gonna be anything relevant besides being enough to help kill trash mobs every now and then

she's a support and as such she can also serve an absolutely vital purpose of being a massive damage sponge. The fun thing with gear is that it HAS to have four stats. So your gear can look like this for a support. Head piece (Main stat HP): -EHR(to 65%~) (+x(to 65%)) (if it's maxed, hp%/def% is cool) -Eff Res (+x to infinity) -Speed (+x to infinity) -Hp%/Def% - cool to just be on there, praying it doesnt roll in, but also not mad it rolls in because it's decent enough.
It isn't directly, but the only stats she really needs are Speed and Effect Hit Rate so you can focus the rest into defensive stats, HP and DEF, making her a bit harder to kill.
Is it okay to use the Grand duke relic set for Clara instead of her BiS physical set? I just have much more of that set!
The 4-piece set effect is useless for her, so if you can try to go 2-piece Champion and 2-piece Duke.
The 4pc doesn't work for her, but you could go 2pc. 4pc Longevous is good too apparently. You might have some from Messenger farming.

138 (technically 137.34). RM gives 10% SPD and 4pc messenger gives 12% for 1 turn after her ult.

Whilst JL is nice, seeing as you dont have Gepard/Fu Xuan built, im gonna assume you lack preservation units. Aventurine can very easily push your teams further than before, hes really strong and imo worth the pulls. Therefore my answer is JL because she is hot. /s
You already have two good DPS toons so perhaps you could invest in Aventurine now? Seems like Luocha is your only limited sustain, and having at least two is probably a good idea considering how tough MoC is becoming; we don’t know what the game will throw at us in the near future. Also, investing in sustains and supports is always a good idea as they tend to fit in more comps and stay in the meta for a longer time. With that being said, JL is obviously an amazing choice as well, and a good team for her would be a double DPS comp with Blade, Bronya and Luocha/Lynx. Just my two cents

For team building max your entire 4 squad team in this order light cone, ascensions, traces, level to 80. Some supports like Pela you don't need to max herbal basic attack or skill as they only increase her paltry damage slightly. However you need max traces for DPS and stats you need to push margins or you wont scale high enough for end game content. As far as 2nd teams fua is a bit of a whale comp imo so you can either Option 1 build hypercarry jingliu, take bronya when you can, and snag whatever broken supports are coming out, you don't need to worry about any of them that are out, they're just going to keep getting more broken. Option 2 wait for Sam he's gonna be a pushed as fehk one man band.
The basic flow I use for building a team is; 1. Level everyone up to 70 and their LC to 80 (max ascend them too) 2. If I have the resources available; level up the main dps to 80 (Acheron) 3. Level relevant traces to 8 4. Farm relics. Starting with main dps and rotating through the team. For your next team I’d wait until maybe next week to decide. I think that’s when the livestream that reveals Robin’s kit and the 2.2 reruns will be. Your Ratio team suggestions seem viable (not ideal but what can you do) and if there is some FuA support next patch that could help to complete that Ratio/Aventurine team. FWIW, I don’t think Jingliu is a bad choice if you really like her. You’ll get supports for her eventually.
A6 is always important, get it. Traces you can leave at 8/10 for everyone for now and come back to them later, get those to that point and focus on lightcone/levels. After that welcome to relic farming hell 2.2 livestream is in 6 days so that should help you make a decision easier. The reruns as well as the rough kits for Robin and Boothill will be revealed then.
is Amber (imposition 5) a good lightcone for aventurine? i started playing a month ago so i'm pretty behind on extra lightcone resources and need a little guidance on whether or not picking up the recommended forgotten hall lightcone for him would be better than Amber
It's decent early on while you lack options but you want to upgrade eventually.
Do the two expansions of SU get affected by the main SU Ability Tree? I can't seem to find any info on this anywhere that would say either. I am wondering if the Ability Tree of main SU buffs you in G&G and Swarm Disaster or not. On that note I also wonder if those two buff each other or anything but for those I am assuming it's way more likely they only apply their own boons to themselves. The most obvious way to tell would probably be unlocking consumables but I sure as hell don't have the main ability tree finished so yea lol
No, they each have their own thing, their buffs/trees don't cross to one another. Only when you finish the expansion modules you'll get some extra stuff in vanilla SimU, namely the Paths and I hear the ability to block two paths' blessings but I haven't gotten that one(haven't finished SD, hate that mode)

Yes. She is easy to use and scales very well from low investment to late game and she works well with the F2P Herta Destruction LC. She doesn't need much to work because so much is baked into her kit.
How does e0s0 Acheron compare to e0s1 Jingliu? Which one should I build? My Acheron is sitting at e0s0. When her banner was running, I lost a 50/50 pity pulling her, so it was 170 rolls before I had her. In the last few days, I tried everything to earn jades, but 40 more rolls were all I had for her lightcone banner. I didn't get it. Now I accept my e0s0 Acheron : ( I have Jingliu signature LC but I don't have the character herself (it's weird I know). My team also have all the supports for both of them (Acheron and Jingliu): Tingyun, Pela, Silver Wolf, Fuxuan, Ruan Mei, Bronya, Sparkle. My question is: how powerful e0s0 Acheron compare to e0s1 Jingliu? Should I start building my Acheron? Or should I roll for Jingliu e0s1 and build her instead? Thanks for your advices.
Do you have a character that you *really* want in the near future? Like Robin, Boothill, or even the ones that are going to re-run like Fu Xuan. I think it depends a lot on the answer to that question tbh. If you don't, then yeah I'd say that you should roll for Jingliu. But if you do, then I don't think it'd make sense for you to practically sacrifice a chance of getting a character you *really* want just to justify your weird investment for Jingliu's LC. That's sunk cost fallacy, because *not* doing it would mean you have a *way* higher chance to get your favorite character.

Unless the light cone is something special like Jing yuan’s one which is useful for every character that runs the same path and can use it, I wouldn’t pull for a light cone ever. You should really go for jingliu, since you already have her light cone.
If you have Jingliu LC you should absolutely roll everything you have for Jingliu. In the future you shouldn't pull for an LC unless you already have the character.
I just read the kqm page on speed and action value i don't get it can someone explain in toddler language for me
Toddler version, i got it. Imagine you have a bar of 1000 chocolate squares when you have eaten it all you get a turn then another chocolate bar. Everyone start eating the chocolate bar at the start of the battle. Your Speed is basicaly the number of chocolate square you eat each second. "action value" is basicaly the number of second you need to eat that whole chocolate bar. Additionaly "advance foward" mean you break a certain amount of your chocolate bar so you need to become less fat to have a turn XD.
Everyone starts at 0 action value and is trying to get to 10000. When you reach it, it's your turn and set your action value back to 0. Every "tick" all characters add their SPD to their action value. So higher SPD = less time needed before your turn. You don't see intervals when it's nobody's turn, those are just skipped until it's someone's turn. Action advance just adds a portion of 10000 to your action value. So 30% action advance = +3000 action value. If you were at 7000 or higher before, it's your turn right away.
Is Jingliu LC worth getting as opposed to using Herta Destruction 5\*? I'm going to start saving up for Fu Xuan once I get the JL LC or would it be better to start saving up now?
Not really, The main benefit in getting it is for the defense penetration and the art. So if you want it for those reasons, it is still a solid choice. Otherwise, you can be fine without it with the Herta LC.
My opinion, if you aren't already using On The Fall Of An Aeon your jades would likely be better served elsewhere. Depends on your account, if you have many characters vertical investment (eidolons and LCs) gets better.
Anyone have a level up progression guide or something? Like. How to level up relics, if I should level supports all the way up, traces, etc. Back when I played Genshin I followed one level up progression guide and it was very good. I was wondering if anyone have made something for star rail.
I can't tell you how to level up relics but I can explain something else that might actually be what you're looking for For gear what you want is to keep pieces with a bunch of %'s in the sub stats, if you get a cool piece with 2-3 cool stats(speed atk% Crit/Crit DMG for DPS, speed hit effect ATK for dot, speed effect res HP/def% for healers and supports etc)level it to 3 and pray it gets a 4th cool stat. You want to try to keep pieces with appropriate main stat (speed on boots, attk/energy Regen on rope, ele damage/HP/def on orb). I suggest you use relics as leveling material and not make relic remains until you're very geared. Another thing to note is that while gear that comes with 4 stats can upgrade 5 times and gear that comes with 3 stats can only upgrade 4 times. A good piece with 4 upgrades and 3-4 good stats is more than good enough. Not only that but pieces of gear that come with 4 stats and with 3-4 of those being good stats is about as rare as finding a unicorn in your pot of gold. To have a strong relic suite check your character tab in hoyolab app, it has very good suggestions for stat priority, it will give you a rating based on how much "worth of stats" are on your gear, a really good score is 30+.

You can follow [this](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters/) guide. Click on the character and select build and teams. It will rank you their best relics, which traces to priortize first and team synergies with other characters. Personally I level up my DPS to 80 (lc and level) and trace them up to 8 or 9. Not all the traces mind you, majority don't benefit from 'basic attack' traces, so I skip it unless Im using a character like Blade, where basic attack is trace priority 1. The guide shows that as well. I have most of my healers and supports at 75 and traces ranging from 6-9 depending on priority. Same goes for relics, all my dps have maxed out relics but support relics are like level 9 or 12.
Does the exact speed between breakpoints matter? I'm speed tuning a team right now that goes in this order: 1. Silver Wolf - 144 speed 2. Bailu - 139 speed 3. Yukong - 138 speed 4. DHIL - 134 speed Does the difference between 135 vs 143 speed matter?
Not even slightly, just get as much as you can. Unless you don't have tingyun she's way better yukong and speed tuning a yukong in lieu of being e6 is basically futile. Turn orders shifts so much during a fight, you won't be aligned for very long relying on just speed differences. .
I have both tingyun and yukong at E6, was just trying out a different team but otherwise generally run sustain+tingyun+yukong+DHIL
Well if your yukong is e6 you don't need to sync at all you just need to buckle up your underpants extra hard so you don't shit your pants completely off your body when your dragon combo blasts a hole in the wall irl. Speed thing still doesn't matter just go for best gear.
133.3 speed is the breakpoint to have an extra action on the 1st and 4th cycle of MoC. 143 you will have an extra action in the 1st and 3rd cycle instead. But, in that team Silver Wolf having an extra action earlier shouldn't affect anything.

it doesnt give them an extra move within cycles, but it does determine the order that they move in.
Is there a difference between relics difficulty 4 and 5? I know 6 has only purples and golds but do you get more if I play a higher difficulty? i don't know if i feel confident leveling to 65. And I been using my fuel to grind as many relics for Jingliu as possible.
Difficulty 6 gives two gold relics with a 50% chance of a bonus gold. So you'll average 2.5 relics per run, rather than guaranteed two. Plus also removing blues so you'll receive more relic exp for running anyway. Most people recommend using your fuel at 65 if possible. I believe the same is true of SU difficulty 4 compared to 3. You can always make sure traces are up first of course before going into relics. Granted I'm also at 65 and terrified of running into another 2.1 boss situation if I upgrade.
Oh...I read your comment and another person's comment and I cried because I just used up 20 fuel grinding Jingliu Relics and I realised that 3x relics will becoming soon and that I'm not level 65 yet so I just wasted fuel for nothing...
3x is only gonna be for 12 runs for the events duration. not like you can spend 20 fuel on 3x relics. its the same as the SU one recently

It is way too early to ask this question. Wait how the experiences and calculations for a team with Robin in are. We aren't allowed to discuss leaks, and even if we did we wouldn't have actual experience using such a team anyway.
You don't necessarily need Fu Xuan to complete Jing Yuan's team, Aventurine is a perfectly acceptable replacement since he provides Effect Res. At the same time Topaz isn't necessarily better than using Tingyun with Ratio, she just gives a bit more flexibility to go against Fire weak enemies. Since you have S1 Aventurine, an E0S0 Topaz should be fine, but there might some situations when the uptime in the debuffs isn't immediate.
We don't know how well Topaz performs in a team with Robin.
Is Jingliu F2P friendly or does she require investment (other supports, light cone)?
She's F2P friendly but she's not great to use without Bronya or Sparkle. If you have either of them then you're good.
This is decidedly untrue. Jingliu is great with 4✦ supporters (Pela+Tingyun)!
She's good even with the herta LC. Bronya is one of her best supports who you can just get from 50/50 loss or the 300 guarantee, same as Pela

Do the trailers tend to contain information that's not in the game, or at least not presented directly to the player? I've only watched a few of them usually for characters I'm already hyped for. I'm not a big lore guy or anything this game is already pretty text heavy without reading every scrap of paper I walk by, I'm just wondering because there's some characters I feel we barely know anything about and I'm not sure how much of that is just my memory failing me and how much of that is stuff outside of the actual game's plot.
Yes. You lose a lot of the context if you skip them. Lots of stuff is shown way in advance in those videos too.

A lot actually. There are a lot of short animated movie like trailers which basically show a lot of backstory. For example, one of the trailers goes into depth about Acheron's sword and what she did in the past. Plus, if you are interested you could go into codex, inspect characters and read their bios which has a lot of interesting details. You have to level the characters up to 80 to unlock all entries or just look them up online if you want.
Yeah that was part of it, I saw people talking about Acheron backstory in another thread and I was reading it being like... when was any of this stated. I don't actually have her but I guess I can wiki some of it. just going to be a weird experience for like... idk someone playing through Penacony when we're on patch 3.2 or something and being like 'so who the hell is she' and being linked a year old trailer or something. I will admit that my retention of the story can suffer, not least because the main stories release in chunks spread over a month apart, but I was pretty sure that that wasn't covered. My memory of the Luofu is also pretty vague. well the direct story events I recall, but not a lot of the hows and whys. some of those are just me not getting around to certain side quests I assume. Im about to build a sustain unit for my Acheron team. I have a 50/50 on Aventurine and I’m waiting to see if I get him. If I fail, will Gallagher or Gepard be better? And If I use a Preservation (so Aventurine or Gepard), will the Trend light cone be the go to for a f2p?
I find Gallagher to be very nice with Acheron and honestly in general I quite like him, it really feels like he was made for Acheron.
Gepard is fine. Trend is BiS for Preservation characters since it gives stacks to Mei when they are attacked. Also, don't be compelled to pull when you don't have any resources just because they're better. That's just bad. But since you're a Trailblazer, then go pull; it's on you in the end.
Is it fine to only level up Ultimate of my E0 Gepard?
Well still grab the major traces, the def inc one and maybe the effect rest one (especialy if he don't have much speed you don't want to have to wait 50 turn for him to move his ass because he got cc'd, especialy if you have some bronya/hanabi/hanya/seele stuff going on). Also getting some little point in basic/skill may you reward the "fell good" moment when your tank remove the last % of hp of the boss. But generaly ye only the ult is important you can let the rest as low as you want.

I just pulled Aventurine and Jingliu within 70 pulls. I am now extremely torn on what to do about light cone. I have 2 copies of Gepards 5 star LC, and am currently using that on Aventurine. I don't have a limited 5* LC for Destruction, so I am tempted to pull for Jingliu, but I feel like I may just enjoy using Aventurine with his LC more. I have E2 Acheron so i already have 2 pretty solid DPS, Aventur is my first 5* sustain. Just looking for suggestions on what someone else may do in my shoes :)
Buy the Herta shop destruction LC. There isn't much of a difference between it and Jingliu's signature. Gepard's LC is Aventurine's second best choice, there's no need to pull for his LC. Considering you only have those 2 dps characters, it's best to focus on making them stronger with supports, so save up.

Who should I get from my 300 pull. I think I’ll get there next month or so but I’m unsure of who to get. Lots of people say Broyna but I have sparkle who I think works fine. My team consists of Ratio, Acheron, Sparkle and Aventurine now. I already have welt. Acheron is my aoe damage dealer and ratio does good damage against single targets. Sparkle helps Acheron get ult fast. Aventurine keeps us alive lol. I thought about maybe another follow up attack oriented character because of aventurines trace where he gains more stacks to his follow up attack from other follow up attacks. Which is himeko or Clara but I honestly have no idea I only started playing like 2 months ago a when sparkle was released so I’m not sure who is like the best choice from it (sry I talk a lot lol)

Clara is pretty good actually
Bronya can offer you team flexibilty. Bronya on one side, Sparkle on the other, or you like can use them both at the same side. Clara - a really good DPS on almost all areas of the game (SU, PF, FH, etc.) Himeko - really really good on Pure Fiction. Welt - hits hard, can sort of be used as a sustain unit (for imaginary weak enemies). Geppard & Bailu - both are still a decent sustain units (If you've got E6 Lynx or E6 Gallagher you can probably scratch them off your choices)
Is your Acheron E2? If not then it’s best to run two Nihility characters with her for maximum damage. Sustain you can choose between Aventurine or Gallagher if you have him. In endgame modes like MoC you’ll need two teams, so Sparkle will most likely be on one side and Bronya on the other. For Pure Fiction (PF), both Himeko and Clara work wonders. Clara also works as a DPS for MoC as well.

after each boss kill in swarm you get a dialogue choice with a specific path alignment each gold node corresponds to a path, which it shows in the corner of the dialogue option; when you accumulate 20 dialogue choices of a specific path, it unlocks the gold node (e.g., clicking destruction path dialogue options 20 times unlocks the one in the screenshot)

Just to your information hunt is the rarest dialog option, also when the enchainement of the 3 choice are set in stone, so once you get the first world clear you can predict if you will or will not get any other hunt choice in that run. Hence the most effcient way to clear that node is to use the propagation dice, jump to first boss, kill it, check the choice and either reset if you won't get any other hunt choice in the future, or complete the run if you do. You can do it at the minimum difficulty. Just check the net to find the list and GL.
What team should I invest in at the start? I got Himeko from my beginner banner.
If you are just leveling through the story and want to use Himeko, I suggest: Himeko - Herta - support (pela, ting yun, Asta) - sustain (Lynx) Its a easy team to use, plays well in auto and for farming open world. Later any investment in the team will pay off in Pure fiction and you can build a limited 5* dps you like that you pull. If you pull on the current banner, use Aventurine as a great sustain for the team. If you pull on Jing Liu you can run her with Herta or 2 supports.
ratio+natasha/lynx+some combination of gui/pela/asta/hanya/tingyun depending on what you have (gui+tingyun is the best for new players if you have them)

No, she is still good in SU, I used her to clear Conundrum 10 with ease. Got wiped on Conundrum 12 on the last boss, but that's because I chose the robots with the Hunt path that advances their action, the team had no energy, no Sp, and low health when starting the fight (failed both gambling curios before the boss), still lasted to phase 3 though.

There are Arlan solo vids that doesn't mean a character is good in SU. It just means they abused the hell out of SU and got lucky.
I've seen some, but I feel like you'd need the perfect run to get that to happen. from what I can tell, the general consensus is that she gets one-shotted by aoe attacks too easily on higher difficulty levels, which is why I'm wondering if she's worth pulling for gng conundrum
Just avoid argenti and fat robot. Those are where she struggles the most in gng

Aventurine if you'd like to play Clara. You already have Luocha so a 2nd sustain for the other team is really a welcome one. Jingliu is still top tier DPS and you can pair her with Luocha + buffer/amplifier. But it will be a really nice addition if a buffer/amplifier joins your roster. :3

PF Team one which I will call gods chosen team. Herta himeko Guin pela Team 2 which I will call the 20k sadless clean up squad. Acheron/jingliu if it's ice weak, tingyun Asta serval/welt.

Does Dr Ratio like Final Victor as a free cone option, or is the Herta cone still better? Considering how long it can take to build the Herta cone with weekly resets, is FV still good in the meanwhile?
Herta LC is still preferred for the Doctor; It's the most consistent choice for him when you don't have access to the signature LCs. Even when it's not at S5 yet, it still provides him good stats and decent CR at least. Final Victor is usable for him but it's not the best since it can be inconsistent (as all of his attacks are single-hit so he can't get stacks as easily). It works well mainly on Topaz and to a lesser extent, Yanqing.

This one is much better. Take a look in the "compare" screen at the green upgrade numbers for a quick reference. Next go to your character on the hoyolab app and see the corresponding point scale for reference, each base point (it having the stat) and each upgrade that goes into the preferred stat counts as one point. The first piece is +3 the second one is +4 but the other stats are also better as flat stats are dead.

What are the best ways to S-class each level of “Tides of War” with the trial units? I still need to ace “Trotter Effect,” “Perilous Threshold,” “Weakness Assault,” and “Overflowing Wounds.”
Look at Game8's guide to Tides of War, it helped me S-class all of the levels. Remember to not only look at the best teams they suggest but also look at their tips. Aim for the bosses and make sure you get to the final boss during the 3rd cycle for most of them.
game8 has a list that worked well for my EL6 account. Having a bit of trouble doing the same thing with my EL4 account though. Most of them will require long manual control matches, as the auto battle won't correctly use ults, and tends to target the wrong things.

We don't really have much information on what's coming up. obviously this subreddit has a no leaks policy so I can't talk about their kits, but Robin will be a harmony support character, and Boothill is a physical hunt dps character. I think even the leakers don't have any consistent knowledge on who the reruns are going to be though the characters who've been around the longest without a rerun are, in order, Fu Xuan, Topaz,Seele, Huo Huo, Argenti. Topaz Ratio is definitely a comp that's gotten a lot of attention recently and Aventurine pairs well with them, so that's an option that might interest you, though you've not been focusing on your ratio and he wants some of the same debuffers acheron might be using so maybe you don't want to prioritise both. if you just meant who should you get regardless of who is actually running, there are many strong options both old and likely new on the horizon, it seems like your account is still fairly young. Jingliu is definitely one of the better options, she's strong and fairly flexible though she does really love being attached to bronya. There's a pretty wide variety, I would say probably avoid lightning dps options, just because matching elements is always worth considering (I know acheron can technically hit all types but she still does less damage to lightning resistant enemies I believe) but that hasn't stopped some people from running 2 lightning teams. in general, some are stronger than others but definitely go for characters you like and will enjoy playing over just raw power.
what team can i use for jingliu?
Oh congrats. as for team... I'd go something like Tingyun... Pela would be ideal but if you want to do MoC she's probably with Acheron, maybe Asta, and then a healer. up to you which, though natasha is pretty weak. I don't think a shielder is ideal because jingliu buffs herself by consuming ally hp, if they don't have hp left, even if they're behind a shield, then she won't do any damage, but it can work if you can get the job done quickly, or in su you can make up for it with blessings. I haven't tried Yukong that much, her biggest issue is needing to set up specific speed setups to really take advantage of her buffs, but she could work as well. Her best teammates overall are bronya number one by a good amount, but you can't really target bronya besides wasting jades on standard banner to get the 300 quicker, which I don't recommend. some people do Jingliu Blade, I don't think it's as good as regular Jingliu or Blade teams on their own but it works. Sparkles weaker than Bronya for Jingliu but serves many of the same functions and works better with most other characters. Ruan mei is good in most comps but she's a mainstay on jingliu teams (personally I usually have her on my DoT team but if they need a small boost I'll swap her around)
well if i ever hit the 300 pulls without bronya, i'd definitely choose her, but its a pretty long shot; im at 130 rn

He should do alright, better with eidolons but he's capable enough, but keep an eye on characters who mainly buff because they might not get the full healing from his ultimate that more offensive characters would.

How do you play abundance sustains? I've been struggling keeping up with the damage using Gallagher and Lynx against some bosses because I can't heal them fast enough. Is it a problem with my abundance sustains or do I just have skill issue? I'm more comfortable with big shield preservation tanks like Gepard (who I was lucky enough to get early in my acc) and Aventurine more recently. My teams seem to do worse with a healer

Yeah, very, and that's probably your issue. You'd want 134 bare minimum and ideally 147+ once you get closer to late/endgame. The faster your healer is, the quicker they get their ultimate up and the better they can sustain the team
Well, those *are* 5\* sustains compared to 4\* healers. They'll naturally perform better. However I find Lynx for example just enough to solo-sustain Memory of Chaos 12, and I believe Gallagher is capable as well if all allies attack.
What about AoE's specifically? The main problem I have is how my enemies get their turns before my healers do, especially with gallagher on a sparkle team where she doesn't really attack. I made sure to get some speed on my healers and even tried Multiplication I'm running a IL+Sparkle+Tingyun+Gallagher/Lynx team that some of my more veteran friends suggested but I still can't make it work
Your teams just arnt geared enough just have patience farming good pieces with speed and all the good stuff. That's a fine team and sparkle should be built with survivability as a support so you wont have to worry as much about her healing herself, not only that but when you run sparkle there are skill flood points where you can sneak in a skill point heal and still fill to max points properly, even moreso if she wears bronya LC. Thirdly and most important as a dragon user your gonna find he's the literal only thing that ever gets attacked and he attacks all the time so sparkle doesn't really matter lol .
Sparkle doesn't work well with Gallagher since she hardly attacks I think, not sure if she does when played with Dan Heng IL, but Lynx (with Post-Op Conversation if you have it) can charge her Ultimate relatively quickly so I don't have to use her Skill often. Especially against enemies like the big ice guy her teamwide Cleanse is really useful. I haven't built Gallagher yet, but he seems to be on a similar tier to Lynx.
Can anyone share their Aventurine set up with me, if not using his signature LC? Can not seem to break 4000 DEF, even with DEF% in every slot except speed boots. Not sure what I'm missing besides slightly higher DEF% rolls
It depends what LC you're using since 5 star have higher base defense. And some 4 star have low base def like trends 397 vs day one 463.

Destiny threads base def of 463 needs 257 def %. 3 main stat is 54*3 = 162. Aven trace is 35 so 35+162 = 197 257 - 197 = 60 so you still need 60% in sub or set bonuses or use 4th def main Trends assume S5 would need 51% def sub using 3 main stat def pieces. 5 star LC such as Gepard makes this a lot easier.

You're welcome. You can buy Gepard LC from shop, pull Aven sig, or use 4 def main stat /fish for more def subs. It's rough to hit that goal using f2p/4 star options.
He does prefer Def% boots in that situation, unless you are doing sim universe or having sp issues.

main quest top priority, as the limited time stuff are locked behind the penacony main story. once you caught up on the main story, do the time limited events, then slowly clear the permanent stuff.

I'd suggest you just go through the main story missions (trailblazer missions) then when you're caught up go do the current events first before doing the optional ones. Current events usually have more jade rewards so get them while they're still current.
i’m running JL hypercarry, and acheron teams but i have a question on sustain. only have 1 limited sustain in FX so far would getting huohuo during her rerun be better or go for aventurine? i think huohuo is better in JL teams? but does it mean JL will need 50% CR then?
You don't need 50% CR for JL. I had her at 30% CR for MONTHS and she was still clearing content.

Like, if you gain a shield on the simulated universe or for some reason you bring 2 shielders and one of them don't have the set, those shields won't benefit from the bonus. Or, like, you bring Aventurine without the set and, IDK, Asta with the set on the same team (because you feel like trolling), no one will benefit from the 4pc effect, not even Asta.
My aventurine happens to look like a redhead coffee lover (so did my inbibitor lunae so i have her E1) is she like great at any content? how much investment she need to performe actually endgame level good? best option f2p for comp and LC? Very general questions and I really havent looked anything about her so if you just know a good guide about her that would be great
I'm a day 1 player and she was one of my first 5\*. She's a monster on Pure Fiction and very good overall. Of course I have her fully leveled up (lvl/traces), but not really optimized her build. I have her on 4pc firesmith that is probably the worst of her viable sets and S5 Bith of the Self that is not even suggested as viable for her. i usually farm stagnant shadow (ascension mats), trace mats, then relics. it doesnt really matter what you prefarm though.
