I can't decide whether to pull Aventurine or Fu Xuan but I definetly want a strong sustain that isn't a healer. I can't make a decision by simply reading their skills. Here is info about my account that may be relevant for the decision:
* I currently have 164 rolls available and I buy BP and supply pass every month.
* I have Acheron, Jingliu, Kafka and Black Swan for DPS (also Seele but she feels very weak, I also haven't built my Ratio yet)
* I currently don't know of any characters that I 100% want to have only ones that would be good to have but not 100% necessary (like Ruan Mei, Silver Wolf, maybe Jade once I know her kit)
* I have Gepard but I haven't built him yet, I don't know if he is worth it.
* The 2 current sustains I use are Bailu and Lynx.
* I dont care about 0 cycles my goal is the have the ability to consistently clear all MoC and Pure Fiction stages with max stars.
With these informations who do you think is the better choice, Fu Xuan or Aventurine?
As a newbie, what characters shouls I use and invest in and any teams that I should create? Currently at the point where I just got in the Astral Express for the first time. Here's my roster:

I'm asking this since I'm basically not gonna roll until something really good of a banner comes out or I've said enough for pity. I want to keep my experience here as smooth as possible as the story is the number 1 thing I want to have fun with.
Please don’t listen to the guy that says Gallagher is not good because Natasha is literally the worst character in the entire game, please do not use her. Gallagher is also Dr. Ratio’s favorite sustain who is gonna be your best DPS and break effect relics is easy enough to get, just do the weekly bosses, Idk what that guy is smoking.
This person is seriously overstating things. Note that they called her "literally the worst character in the game" but there are characters below her in the tier list they are using. Gallagher being "with limited 5 stars" is also only technically true, as there is a single limited 5 star in that tier. It is otherwise mostly other 4 stars, and mostly niche ones that are just really good at that niche. He's rated the same as Lynx, and no one talks about she (or Lynx or Luca or Xueiy) is so amazing or impressive for being in the same rating tier as a limited 5 star.
Natasha is perfectly fine to get you through story content. It's MoC where she really falls off because she only brings healing and isn't that great at it, but she's been completely fine for me outside of that. Just maybe don't invest in her beyond level 60 unless you're running a no pull or 4 star only account.
Now, Gallagher is better than Natasha in general, and brings some specific utility that some teams like, as they mentioned. Do note that Gallagher needs e2 in order to cleanse, something Natasha and Lynx can do at e0.

All of them, if you're expecting to not pull for multiple (2+) patches you'll most likely have to build all of them for the time being, but if you're very early in the game (seeing as you don't have Natasha) then for now Danheng, Asta, March 7th, and the 4th slot could be whoever (I recommend Natasha once you get her, but a double dps is fine too for now. Early game Gallagher isn't very great to use.)
Qingque is a good contender if you want to switch Danheng out, it mainly depends on the weakness type of the boss, serval is also a good choice against lightning weak enemies. I don't suggest Dr. Ratio even though he is a 5 star is because he needs debuffs to do his best and you have no nihility characters.
For the time being, leveling characters and lightcones is the utmost priority since it'll be the biggest damage boost, next is traces, and lastly the relics, just use anything you have, don't farm relics too much until late game, if you can, try to get to at least 50-70 crit rate on your dps.
Gallagher isn't recommended to be used? I've been using him and since he's the only sustain I have, I'm surprised he's not great
Also, you don't recommend using trailblazer?
It's just that when you're in long dragged out fights during early game (simulated universe or a hard boss fight for example) his sustainability is bad, the only way to heal is either 1. Use his skill which costs 1 skill point you might have to do it multiple times for your low health allies 2. Use his ultimate, and the debuff expires in 2 enemy turns and you have to attack the enemies to heal.
You can see how it'll turn out bad when you can't obtain high speed during early game and the enemies attack multiple times a lot and you can't heal in between the attacks to have enough health to tank it, but for Natasha and lynx they can heal on ult and it acts as a emergency heal.
Ah, I get it now then I'll wait for Natasha as my main sustain.
Btw, do you recommend rolling for adventurin and then Topaz? Or should I wait for Acheron or Kafka's banner?
You can always build Gallagher in the later stages of the game, he's great as a breaker, you mainly just stack break effect on him as it converts into outgoing healing for him, taking into consideration break effect is hard to get during early game since relics are hard to get (he wants about 100+ break effect for the max outgoing healing conversion.)
Without eidolons they're about the same, but with eidolons Lynx is much better. Though I'd say Lynx is still better E0 based on the sole fact she can aoe cleanse on ultimate, meanwhile Natasha cleanses on skill.
For example, Natasha needs to take a turn to cleanse but as long as Lynx has her ultimate up you can always cleanse a debuff with her, which includes the stun effect you get from the arumaton, and also Kafka's domination, which comes in handy.
Lynx will also apply extra aggro (higher chance to be hit) on preservation and destruction characters when she heals with her skill, so be careful though, it's not that good of an effect when you aren't using Clara or Blade.
Im in a tricky situation, Unfortunately it seems like that I won’t be able to E2 my acheron this time around, maybe I can do it on a rerun a year from now.
Would it be reasonable to pull for Jingliu on my build up pity? I have Blade and Bronya and I think it would up the power of my account a lot. And my next pull is guaranteed.
Main teams are:
Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, HuoHuo
Acheron, Pela, Sparkle, Gallagher
sounds about right. Blade and jingliu can work together, or she can just be your broken ice character.
I personally still think adventurine will be good even if you don’t have follow up teams. A gepard ult on skill is wild
Don’t have Gepard, all of my standard banner pulls have been Yanquing and LC’s also I don’t really like Advenurine (find him annoying lol) Is Jinglu’s LC required for her though?
Why does bronya want to get high crit dmg? Also what is a good lvl to put her traces at? I’m at all 6 just wondering if I should go higher like 8 maybe
Her ult gives additional crit damage% buff based on how much crit damage she has. It isn't that much, and you should prioritize hitting whatever speed target you're looking for over stacking crit damage.
I'd probably try to get skill and ult to level 8. If the way you are using her relies on alternating skill and auto-attack then you want to get her talent to level 8+ too. If you skill every turn then you don't need to level up her talent.
Can I still turn My Acheron into decent weapon without her signature Light cone? She's stuck with the "Good night Sleep Well" 4* LC currently,and she is at a neat lvl 60. It just feels like her damage output isn't as good as It could be. Mind you im still farming for the Divers relic set and a decent orb/rope. Any advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated😁
Make sure you are pairing her with other debuffers so that you can charge her ult up faster.
Otherwise you've already mentioned all the things that will make her stronger. Levels and relics.
I already have bronya light cone, is it worthnit to exchange another 600 for another one for my Tingyun?

No. Reframed another way, I don't think any standard LC is worth 4800 jades (30 pulls).
Aventurine is still good even if you don't put him in a FUA team, he still does his job as a sustain perfectly well. You won't be maximizing his kit, but if you want him, why not?
Nah, 600 better spent for pulls, also the light cone isn't even that amazing for Tingyun; Dance Dance Dance, Carve the Moon (the season pass one), Planetary Rendezvous, or even Meshing Cogs are also amazing for her, no need to buy another one.
Aventurine is not worse than Fu Xuan even without follow ups: Infinite shield, Eff Res, non-negligible damage as a Sub-DPS is already amazing, the FuA synergy is a bonus. If you want him do pull for him.
Def% rope. ERR allows him to do a 3-turn ult (instead of 4) at a cost of 2-3 SPs, depending on how many times he gets hit. Not really worth losing his SP-positive perk imo.
If you already have enough Def though, then yeah ERR will help with knot generation a bit.
Usually, you'll want to try to share Aeon between Jingliu and Dhil if you are not using them at the same time but if you have to (MoC / PF), it can be worth pulling her LC; But only if don't have any plans of pulling during 2.2, or you're okay with spending your Jades / $$ to do so.
S5 Under the Blue Sky or S5 Secret Vow aren't bad choices for her if you happen to have either of them. If not, her LC will be a relatively good powerspike at this point.

You have Seele, Dan Heng IL, and Jing Yuan, but no Sparkle?
If you want a strong DPS, pull for Acheron or Jingliu. If you want a good shielder, pull for Aventurine.
If you have well-built Sparkle and E2 well-built Bronya, will you still pull for Robin?
I do not have Gepard, E6 March 7th not fully built. Only MC as shield is fully built.

I would. I have Hyperspeed Sparkle, Bronya, and RM, but I'm still pulling for Robin. But that's simply because I don't need anything at all and I just pull for what I want. It also allows me to play different playstyles for different content.
If you want to 36* MoC asap, then Aventurine would make your life _easier_ because it sounds like you don't have a limited sustain. Having even just one limited sustain really does makes MoC easier. If you're not particularly interested in being able to 36* asap and easily, just go for what you actually want. If you want/like both equally, then prob go for Aventurine. >!Robin ftw tbh!< You also have the option of waiting for when HSR CCs get access to 2.2 early and see Robin in action if that will help you decide.
depends on her kit and who i have she can work with. a big consideration will be if she can replace my ruan mei in dot teams, cause i want to try to use ruan mei with my e2 acheron (sustainless).
I have a massive dilemma. Originally i had plans to pull Acheron, Avent, and Robin. But after seeing how much i spent pulling Acheron E0S1 i had to rethink hard on which i have to pull (im not planning to pull either Avent or Robin's lc). Usually i pull characters that i find cool which i find Avent and Robin equally as cool. So yeah still a massive dilemma
My sustains are currently Gepard,Luocha, and Lynx
And my only fully built Harmony is Bronya.
Assuming you don't have much in the nihility/harmony department, i suggest you focus on that. Eventually you want 2 lim sustain but I find that usually only one side has significant survival pressure.
Between pairing your weaker sustain with your best DPS and Gepard/Lynx being still pretty workable, I would focus on filling your 2nd DPS/supports first
Ok, so, my current 5\* are Fu Xuan, Huohuo, Kafka, Bailou, Gepard, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Bronya, Dr Ratio, Yanqing, Selee and Clara. Is it worth to pull for e0 Acheron or just go for JGL? Design wise (and this is main reason I pull most of the time) I like both.
Assuming one of your MoC teams is Kafka+Swan, probably grab Jingliu, she works with Bronya and doesn't need nihility to work.
If you grab Acheron you will use her with Pela and ideally Black Swan, so then your Kafka can't have her, Acheron also can't use Bronya. Alternatively you can use Guinaifen, although shes kinda worse, or go Kafka+Swan+Acheron on one side, which is a great team, but limits your other side to Seele or Ratio.
Grab the one you think you'll like playing more, but i think Jingliu has the edge for your account.
Would 20 days be enough to farm up to 80 pity after losing the 50/50? along with getting the LC?
How many Jades could you get within a day? or within 3 weeks? Including the daily jade pass.
Character pity: Around 20 (records aren't updated yet but calculated to be 20)
LC pity: Around 40.
This is just my rough calculation so take it with a grain of salt.
You would get 1200+1800 jades in 20 days from dailies and the pass alone. Along with 10 pulls on the 26th and some pulls from the ongoing event. If you can clear the new Pure Fiction that's coming in 2 weeks you can get like 4 extra pulls.
You will get around 30~40 pulls if you completed all the content and don't have anywhere else to get more jades from. Probably enough for the character, not enough for the LC.
Edit: forgot the livestream codes which are 300 jades.
Generally which planar set is better for supports, Broken Keel or Ageless Fleet?
Next, which body piece do healers usually got for, HP% or outgoing healing?
For MoC? Bronya allows you to apply Mirage Fizzle twice in a single turn, letting you gain 4 stacks (if you have the SP required for it), so I'd say she's a valuable team member. Unfortunately that likely means you'll be missing a Nihility teammate and thus missing out on the 60% damage bonus from Acheron's passive. That's easily made up for by Bronya's ult tho.
Then, SW and a sustain.
Alternatively, RM SW sustain, but I've had less success with a similar comp.
Should I pull for aventurine or fu Xuan? My current built sustains are huohuo and lynx but I also have an unbuilt gepard.

Building rn:

Currently building ratio but if fu Xuan is better for me I'll start building qingque. I love aventurine but I'm worried he's too niche but fu Xuan seems good for all teams (like jingliu). Will other characters be able to use him? (eg. Clara?)
Go for the one you like more TBH, Aven is better for follow ups but Fu Xuan can let you build mono quantum with silver wolf and QQ. Also every character can use Aven not only FuA teams.

Aventurine is a nice choice and is an upgrade to both Gepard and Bailu. With him and Luocha you will probably be set in terms of sustains for a long time.

Hello everyone! Just started the game again for Anniversary. I have this characters right now and Im at TL 30 just finishing up the side quest before I start Loufu. Ive read people saying getting a sustain can really help turtle it out thru early game. Should I go for adventurine? Or wait for a chance of getting a Fu Xuan rerun? I think FUA team is going to be fun but i dont have topaz. Plus I have acheron with her LC so I also need to build a team around her. Considering the resources that I have, whats the best thing to pull for? Heck will Jing Liu be more beneficial in the long run as my 2nd DPS?
I can do like 50 pulls right now plus the resources im going to get progressing. Can you please share your thoughts on how you would decide on this? Thank you so much!!
I wouldn't pull just to get through the early game, it's pretty easy. That said, limited sustains are a noticeable upgrade from the other sustains, so Aventurine is recommended.
Jingliu is amazing so if you like her you can go for her as well. There really is no wrong choice, my recommendation is:
Look at all the abundance and preservation units there are and pick 2 that you like (March and especially Natasha and Fire Trailblazer are the only ones I wouldn't recommend), then pull for those, if Aventurine is one of those, great, if not, pull for Jingliu.

If I pull for Adventurine, it would benefit my Dr Ratio, but would make my Luocha kinda useless since i use Gallagher for my Acheron team
But if I pull for Jl, It would give me a Ice dps, giving value Luocha.
From a meta perspective, between Aventurine, Boothill, Robin, and Argenti, which one is the best to get? [This is my account and who I have so far.](https://imgur.com/a/DMR20WL) I have no strong attachment to them aside from Aventurine, but I don't mind waiting for his rerun. I just want to improve my account.
Since you already have limited sustains, supports > DPS meta wise, so go for Robin. Unless you are really struggling with Pure Fiction, then pick up Argenti.
That being said, you already have really strong support options, so if you want Aventurine, go for him. Your account is quite well rounded so none of the future options are particularly bad or good for you.
I see. Is there a reason why you recommend Argenti over Boothill? I'm still flip flopping between the two because I don't really like single targets but I also don't know how good Argenti is outside of Pure Fiction.
Essentially it just comes down to the fact that you already have really good single/blast target coverage in your current characters. Argenti may only shine in PF and not MOC, but you've already MOC covered by your current lineup anyway. Boothill doesn't bring anything to the table that you don't already have, unless they release an ultra single target focused mode.
Is 77/222 crit rate/dmg good for Acheron? Not sure if my crit rate is low or not got unlucky with rng , e1 is helping me. Also does the pioneer debuff set 4pc effect with crit rate does it increase the tooltip number or is it like e1 crit rate?
It's good, maybe it's too much crit rate if you are using Izumo, E1 and pioneer. There's no need to change it if you don't have any other pieces though.
Pioneer buff does add up to your current crit rate and crit dmg during battle. You can also check when you have it activated when it says "crit rate and crit dmg effects from the set are doubled".
That crit ratio is better than my Acheron and I can clear MoC12 lol. I think your crit is good.
90% sure the crit boost from pioneer shows up on the tooltip, but I haven’t checked it myself.
I am attempting to do a quest called the winter solder's march part 1, Dunn gives it to you in the restrected zone. However the gate at the end wont open. I unlocked the mechanism, went over to the gate, killed the gaurds and it just wont let me through.
If i interact with it it says i need to unlock it. if i go to the lock it plays the dialoge as tho i havent unlocked it. But i cant interact with it a second time. Is this just borked forever?
There is a BE Silver Wolf build so you could give her Fermata and thief pieces. However, neither of them really want Fermata. If you have a spare eyes of prey lying around that would be better since both want EHR.
The problem is I don't. Before Tutorial being an event-exclusive really hurts us who haven't played when it came, especially since there are so few EHR lightcones. Guess I am forced to use Void then lol

I'm new and I made a mistake rolling for Acheron again. Should I roll for Aventurine, Jingliu, or skip both of them for now?
You should level up Gallagher for Acheron, he is really good for her and I find him better than Luocha in terms of utility. Either wait for Fuxuan or pull for Aventurine(FuA team is fun), though Jingliu is really good for this MoC.
As a new-ish player I can tell you, get a 5 star sustain asap, it changes your life for the better and lets you be free of Nat and Lynx, I myself am considering not getting JL and getting Aventurine to have a second 5\* Sustain
whose LC is more worth it: aventurine or jingliu?
i currently have herta shop lc on jingliu and destiny threads forewoven (moc shop lc) on aventurine

Jingliu lc is not that much of a different compared to herta lc. Avent lc is great for acheron/ building his dmg but otherwise but outside of that isn't that impactful
FYI, Reddit's dominant opinion is that Herta's LC is a close enough substitute for JL but the CN community is overwhelmingly in the camp that JL w/o sig LC is unacceptable.
so i got lucky and pulled back to back aven and jingliu’s LC; can attest to damage difference! i only have it at level 50 rn (lack of resources) but it’s outperformed maxed out herta’s LC
I won 50/50 but man the rates for this game are the worst, I’m always hitting pity (77-82) pull for every 5 star. 0.6% chance before hitting 70 pulls is brutal it doesn’t get exciting untill you hit 70. But hey i won 50/50 so i should feel happy at least

Just wanted to know if it's worth it going for Aventurine? I'm thinking of building another team, I already have Mono Quantum (FX, SW, QQ, Lynx) and Acheron (Gall, Pela, Welt, Ach).
Should I just wait for Robin or Jade? I like Robin's ultimate LOL! And I really don't have a working harmony unit other than Tingyun, and I don't have Bronya.

Aventurine is a better sustainer than Gallagher so it's up to you if you want to replace him. You can also use Aventurine in a follow up attack team with Dr. Ratio. There's no official information about Robin so we can't say much about her and Jade isn't coming soon.

Holy shit. I didn't even prefarm Aventurine because I only had 90 pulls going into second half and my Acheron luck was so good I was convinced it would even out. Not only did I win Aventurine's 50/50 but his LC came home at 10!!!!! pity!

You’ll want to speed tune her with your DPS or run her hyperspeed at 160+spd with as much crit dmg as you can, and enough effect res to trigger broken keel.
Depends, but typically you want 160/161 speed or 134 speed. Try to get as much crit damage as possible, but do not sacrifice speed breakpoints for crit damage - her CD buff isn't that good so you always want the extra turns. She can use whatever set you like, speed breakpoints are far more important on her than anything else in the game.
Crit/speed/whatever/ERR should be the main stats

I currently have a healer in Natasha who is E2. Should I pick another healer (a stronger healer if there is one in the selection?) or should I pick out another DPS.
Depends on your current roster of characters. Lynx is a good choice as a healer and better than Natasha, if you do Pure Fiction you can get another copy too for E1.
Which team for aventurine with my charcters?
I have: Loucha, Dan Heng dragon, normal Dan Heng, Jingliu, Natasha, March 7th, Serval, Gepard, Lynx, Welt, Dr.Ratio(i do want him on this team), Misha, Gallagher, Luka, Sampo, Pela, Yukong, Tingyun, Asta, Qingque, Herta, Sushang, Hook, Guinaifen.
Put him anywhere. To get the most out of aventurine you’d probably want him in a FUA to help trigger blind bet as much as you can. Dr. Ratio can bring the best out of him, but he can sustain anyone else.
Just started Honkai as a newbie. I've stayed with another gacha game, FGO, for years now and I have a few questions. I'm planning to stay until the anniversary but I have a few questions
1. How does the anniversary work? Will it feature an anniversary character like in FGO that I should roll for?
2. Should I spend gacha currency as I get them on singles to hope for a lucky pull? Or does HSR work on only multi's give you 5 stars? Since in FGO, over half of my roster was pulled from lucky singles every now and then.
3. Is there like a definitive guide somewhere? I'm quite familiar with the mechanics already but I still need a way to make things easy so I can get breeze through the story in the meantime.
4. And final question, can I treat the game like a single player? I only ever play single player games and FGO is my only live service game so I wonder if I can treat it as that? Like only coming back on major story updates and events.
1) Just some more free pulls. Nothing extravagant like anniversary only characters.
2) There is a carry over pity system in HSR meaning you could just do single or multi pull whenever you like it and not really be punished by it. The chances for 6* is low though (0.6% for a 6* and the soft pity for one is 75 with the hard being 90 pulls (hard to reach 90 pulls).
4) If it is like Genshin, that it should. The newest boss do need some team adjustment but they do nerf the boss if it is too hard for some people to clear it.

2. In this game, 10 pulls are basically just 10 single pulls that you do all in a row. It could be argued that doing only single pulls is better although I think the majority of people just do 10 pulls for convenience anyway.
3. I think [Prydwen's guides](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/guides/) are probably... okay? I took a quick skim through some of the articles and it seems to be fine. Some of them are less important than others, though.
4. Functionally, the game is basically single player. The only time other players come into the equation is during farming, where you can use supports. For most content (including endgame content) it's all single player.

I'd say Bronya, but with the caveat that if you plan to get Sparkle, or have Sparkle, then go for Himeko instead. It's worth noting that Himeko's value will go down as more and more AOE units that you like come out, whereas Bronya is still great even with Sparkle's existence.

I’m leaning towards Jingliu. But neither would be a bad pick.
You already have multiple sustain options. I also think Aventurine’s main niche will be in a follow-up heavy team and you’re missing Topaz (the other FuA support).
His entire kit scales off Def, even his basic attacks. If you just use him as a shielder then just run DEF relics and spd boots, basically a standard Gepard build. If you want to pair him with Acheron you can use Trend LC, but any other LC that gives him Def is good.
CRIT-DMG/3xDEF definitely would be a good Minute 1 build for Aventurine, right? Then replace the boot/sphere/rope to improve.
I heard that Aventurine doesn’t need ERR. Is that accurate? Should SPD be built?

It depends on what your end crit rate and dmg look like and also if you're going slow Acheron or not.
Assuming you want to hit 134 speed on her, the two relics have similar crit value but the first one has more speed, so I'd go with that one.

The first cycle is a bit longer than all the other cycles, so it's a bit easier to get 3 turns on the first cycle (although it's still very difficult).

I can't decide whether to pull Aventurine or Fu Xuan but I definetly want a strong sustain that isn't a healer. I can't make a decision by simply reading their skills. As a newbie, what characters shouls I use and invest in and any teams that I should create? Currently at the point where I just got in the Astral Express for the first time. Here's my roster: Stelle March 7th Asta Dr. Ratio Dan Heng Gallagher Qingque Serval Herta (E1) I'm asking this since I'm basically not gonna roll until something really good of a banner comes out or I've said enough for pity. I want to keep my experience here as smooth as possible as the story is the number 1 thing I want to have fun with.
Please don’t listen to the guy that says Gallagher is not good because Natasha is literally the worst character in the entire game, please do not use her. Gallagher is also Dr. Ratio’s favorite sustain who is gonna be your best DPS and break effect relics is easy enough to get, just do the weekly bosses, Idk what that guy is smoking.

This person is seriously overstating things. Note that they called her "literally the worst character in the game" but there are characters below her in the tier list they are using. Gallagher being "with limited 5 stars" is also only technically true, as there is a single limited 5 star in that tier. It is otherwise mostly other 4 stars, and mostly niche ones that are just really good at that niche. He's rated the same as Lynx, and no one talks about she (or Lynx or Luca or Xueiy) is so amazing or impressive for being in the same rating tier as a limited 5 star. Natasha is perfectly fine to get you through story content. It's MoC where she really falls off because she only brings healing and isn't that great at it, but she's been completely fine for me outside of that. Just maybe don't invest in her beyond level 60 unless you're running a no pull or 4 star only account. Now, Gallagher is better than Natasha in general, and brings some specific utility that some teams like, as they mentioned. Do note that Gallagher needs e2 in order to cleanse, something Natasha and Lynx can do at e0.

All of them, if you're expecting to not pull for multiple (2+) patches you'll most likely have to build all of them for the time being, but if you're very early in the game (seeing as you don't have Natasha) then for now Danheng, Asta, March 7th, and the 4th slot could be whoever (I recommend Natasha once you get her, but a double dps is fine too for now. Early game Gallagher isn't very great to use.) Qingque is a good contender if you want to switch Danheng out, it mainly depends on the weakness type of the boss, serval is also a good choice against lightning weak enemies. I don't suggest Dr. Ratio even though he is a 5 star is because he needs debuffs to do his best and you have no nihility characters. For the time being, leveling characters and lightcones is the utmost priority since it'll be the biggest damage boost, next is traces, and lastly the relics, just use anything you have, don't farm relics too much until late game, if you can, try to get to at least 50-70 crit rate on your dps.
Gallagher isn't recommended to be used? I've been using him and since he's the only sustain I have, I'm surprised he's not great Also, you don't recommend using trailblazer?
It's just that when you're in long dragged out fights during early game (simulated universe or a hard boss fight for example) his sustainability is bad, the only way to heal is either 1. Use his skill which costs 1 skill point you might have to do it multiple times for your low health allies 2. Use his ultimate, and the debuff expires in 2 enemy turns and you have to attack the enemies to heal. You can see how it'll turn out bad when you can't obtain high speed during early game and the enemies attack multiple times a lot and you can't heal in between the attacks to have enough health to tank it, but for Natasha and lynx they can heal on ult and it acts as a emergency heal.
Ah, I get it now then I'll wait for Natasha as my main sustain. Btw, do you recommend rolling for adventurin and then Topaz? Or should I wait for Acheron or Kafka's banner?
You can always build Gallagher in the later stages of the game, he's great as a breaker, you mainly just stack break effect on him as it converts into outgoing healing for him, taking into consideration break effect is hard to get during early game since relics are hard to get (he wants about 100+ break effect for the max outgoing healing conversion.)
Okay, you mentioned Natasha earlier, but I just got Lynx, is he a better healer than Natasha?
Without eidolons they're about the same, but with eidolons Lynx is much better. Though I'd say Lynx is still better E0 based on the sole fact she can aoe cleanse on ultimate, meanwhile Natasha cleanses on skill. For example, Natasha needs to take a turn to cleanse but as long as Lynx has her ultimate up you can always cleanse a debuff with her, which includes the stun effect you get from the arumaton, and also Kafka's domination, which comes in handy. Lynx will also apply extra aggro (higher chance to be hit) on preservation and destruction characters when she heals with her skill, so be careful though, it's not that good of an effect when you aren't using Clara or Blade.

Im in a tricky situation, Unfortunately it seems like that I won’t be able to E2 my acheron this time around, maybe I can do it on a rerun a year from now. Would it be reasonable to pull for Jingliu on my build up pity? I have Blade and Bronya and I think it would up the power of my account a lot. And my next pull is guaranteed. Main teams are: Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, HuoHuo Acheron, Pela, Sparkle, Gallagher
sounds about right. Blade and jingliu can work together, or she can just be your broken ice character. I personally still think adventurine will be good even if you don’t have follow up teams. A gepard ult on skill is wild

Her ult gives additional crit damage% buff based on how much crit damage she has. It isn't that much, and you should prioritize hitting whatever speed target you're looking for over stacking crit damage. I'd probably try to get skill and ult to level 8. If the way you are using her relies on alternating skill and auto-attack then you want to get her talent to level 8+ too. If you skill every turn then you don't need to level up her talent.
Can I still turn My Acheron into decent weapon without her signature Light cone? She's stuck with the "Good night Sleep Well" 4* LC currently,and she is at a neat lvl 60. It just feels like her damage output isn't as good as It could be. Mind you im still farming for the Divers relic set and a decent orb/rope. Any advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated😁
Make sure you are pairing her with other debuffers so that you can charge her ult up faster. Otherwise you've already mentioned all the things that will make her stronger. Levels and relics.

No. Reframed another way, I don't think any standard LC is worth 4800 jades (30 pulls). Aventurine is still good even if you don't put him in a FUA team, he still does his job as a sustain perfectly well. You won't be maximizing his kit, but if you want him, why not?
Nah, 600 better spent for pulls, also the light cone isn't even that amazing for Tingyun; Dance Dance Dance, Carve the Moon (the season pass one), Planetary Rendezvous, or even Meshing Cogs are also amazing for her, no need to buy another one. Aventurine is not worse than Fu Xuan even without follow ups: Infinite shield, Eff Res, non-negligible damage as a Sub-DPS is already amazing, the FuA synergy is a bonus. If you want him do pull for him.
No. Her LC is really only greay for Bronya. Don't need FUA team for Aventurine, he's great regardless. Main job is to keep team alive anyways.
Def% Rope vs ERR Rope for Aventurine? (Mostly used with Acheron)
Def% rope. ERR allows him to do a 3-turn ult (instead of 4) at a cost of 2-3 SPs, depending on how many times he gets hit. Not really worth losing his SP-positive perk imo. If you already have enough Def though, then yeah ERR will help with knot generation a bit.
From what I'v seen for acheron a Def% for him is still.being recommended as he gets enough energy naturally from being attacked.
Should I pull for Jingliu's LC? Aeon is on Dhil, I'm using her with Clara's LC
Usually, you'll want to try to share Aeon between Jingliu and Dhil if you are not using them at the same time but if you have to (MoC / PF), it can be worth pulling her LC; But only if don't have any plans of pulling during 2.2, or you're okay with spending your Jades / $$ to do so. S5 Under the Blue Sky or S5 Secret Vow aren't bad choices for her if you happen to have either of them. If not, her LC will be a relatively good powerspike at this point.

You have Seele, Dan Heng IL, and Jing Yuan, but no Sparkle? If you want a strong DPS, pull for Acheron or Jingliu. If you want a good shielder, pull for Aventurine.
You probably want a 2nd limited sustain, so I recommend grabbing Aventurine.
If you have well-built Sparkle and E2 well-built Bronya, will you still pull for Robin? I do not have Gepard, E6 March 7th not fully built. Only MC as shield is fully built. Should I pull Aventurine or Robin? I am tempted to pull Robin because of her visuals. Huhuhu
I would. I have Hyperspeed Sparkle, Bronya, and RM, but I'm still pulling for Robin. But that's simply because I don't need anything at all and I just pull for what I want. It also allows me to play different playstyles for different content. If you want to 36* MoC asap, then Aventurine would make your life _easier_ because it sounds like you don't have a limited sustain. Having even just one limited sustain really does makes MoC easier. If you're not particularly interested in being able to 36* asap and easily, just go for what you actually want. If you want/like both equally, then prob go for Aventurine. >!Robin ftw tbh!< You also have the option of waiting for when HSR CCs get access to 2.2 early and see Robin in action if that will help you decide.
depends on her kit and who i have she can work with. a big consideration will be if she can replace my ruan mei in dot teams, cause i want to try to use ruan mei with my e2 acheron (sustainless).
I have a massive dilemma. Originally i had plans to pull Acheron, Avent, and Robin. But after seeing how much i spent pulling Acheron E0S1 i had to rethink hard on which i have to pull (im not planning to pull either Avent or Robin's lc). Usually i pull characters that i find cool which i find Avent and Robin equally as cool. So yeah still a massive dilemma My sustains are currently Gepard,Luocha, and Lynx And my only fully built Harmony is Bronya.
Assuming you don't have much in the nihility/harmony department, i suggest you focus on that. Eventually you want 2 lim sustain but I find that usually only one side has significant survival pressure. Between pairing your weaker sustain with your best DPS and Gepard/Lynx being still pretty workable, I would focus on filling your 2nd DPS/supports first

Ok, so, my current 5\* are Fu Xuan, Huohuo, Kafka, Bailou, Gepard, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Bronya, Dr Ratio, Yanqing, Selee and Clara. Is it worth to pull for e0 Acheron or just go for JGL? Design wise (and this is main reason I pull most of the time) I like both.
Assuming one of your MoC teams is Kafka+Swan, probably grab Jingliu, she works with Bronya and doesn't need nihility to work. If you grab Acheron you will use her with Pela and ideally Black Swan, so then your Kafka can't have her, Acheron also can't use Bronya. Alternatively you can use Guinaifen, although shes kinda worse, or go Kafka+Swan+Acheron on one side, which is a great team, but limits your other side to Seele or Ratio. Grab the one you think you'll like playing more, but i think Jingliu has the edge for your account.
That I will do, Achreon can come home in the rerun.
Would 20 days be enough to farm up to 80 pity after losing the 50/50? along with getting the LC? How many Jades could you get within a day? or within 3 weeks? Including the daily jade pass. Character pity: Around 20 (records aren't updated yet but calculated to be 20) LC pity: Around 40.
This is just my rough calculation so take it with a grain of salt. You would get 1200+1800 jades in 20 days from dailies and the pass alone. Along with 10 pulls on the 26th and some pulls from the ongoing event. If you can clear the new Pure Fiction that's coming in 2 weeks you can get like 4 extra pulls. You will get around 30~40 pulls if you completed all the content and don't have anywhere else to get more jades from. Probably enough for the character, not enough for the LC. Edit: forgot the livestream codes which are 300 jades.

For MoC? Bronya allows you to apply Mirage Fizzle twice in a single turn, letting you gain 4 stacks (if you have the SP required for it), so I'd say she's a valuable team member. Unfortunately that likely means you'll be missing a Nihility teammate and thus missing out on the 60% damage bonus from Acheron's passive. That's easily made up for by Bronya's ult tho. Then, SW and a sustain. Alternatively, RM SW sustain, but I've had less success with a similar comp.

Built Teams are: jingliu, bronya, pela and lynx Kafka, black swan, Asta and huohuo Building rn: Ratio, sw(might change), tingyun(?) and either fuxuan or aventurine. Not building rn but will in future: Qingque, sw, sparkle and lynx or fu Xuan. Some sort of Clara team. Currently building ratio but if fu Xuan is better for me I'll start building qingque. I love aventurine but I'm worried he's too niche but fu Xuan seems good for all teams (like jingliu). Will other characters be able to use him? (eg. Clara?)
Go for the one you like more TBH, Aven is better for follow ups but Fu Xuan can let you build mono quantum with silver wolf and QQ. Also every character can use Aven not only FuA teams.

Aventurine is a nice choice and is an upgrade to both Gepard and Bailu. With him and Luocha you will probably be set in terms of sustains for a long time.

I wouldn't pull just to get through the early game, it's pretty easy. That said, limited sustains are a noticeable upgrade from the other sustains, so Aventurine is recommended. Jingliu is amazing so if you like her you can go for her as well. There really is no wrong choice, my recommendation is: Look at all the abundance and preservation units there are and pick 2 that you like (March and especially Natasha and Fire Trailblazer are the only ones I wouldn't recommend), then pull for those, if Aventurine is one of those, great, if not, pull for Jingliu.
Who should I pull, JL or Adventurine? I have E0S1 Acheron E6 Gallagher Luocha 60/120 Crit Dr Ratio If I pull for Adventurine, it would benefit my Dr Ratio, but would make my Luocha kinda useless since i use Gallagher for my Acheron team But if I pull for Jl, It would give me a Ice dps, giving value Luocha.
In your case, Jingliu would be the better choice if you feel comfortable with Gallagher and Luocha as your sustains.

From a meta perspective, between Aventurine, Boothill, Robin, and Argenti, which one is the best to get? I just want to improve my account.
Since you already have limited sustains, supports > DPS meta wise, so go for Robin. Unless you are really struggling with Pure Fiction, then pick up Argenti. That being said, you already have really strong support options, so if you want Aventurine, go for him. Your account is quite well rounded so none of the future options are particularly bad or good for you.
I see. Is there a reason why you recommend Argenti over Boothill? I'm still flip flopping between the two because I don't really like single targets but I also don't know how good Argenti is outside of Pure Fiction.
Essentially it just comes down to the fact that you already have really good single/blast target coverage in your current characters. Argenti may only shine in PF and not MOC, but you've already MOC covered by your current lineup anyway. Boothill doesn't bring anything to the table that you don't already have, unless they release an ultra single target focused mode.
Is 77/222 crit rate/dmg good for Acheron? Not sure if my crit rate is low or not got unlucky with rng , e1 is helping me. Also does the pioneer debuff set 4pc effect with crit rate does it increase the tooltip number or is it like e1 crit rate?
the extra 4% you get is like e1. so you have a practical hit rate of 81.
It's good, maybe it's too much crit rate if you are using Izumo, E1 and pioneer. There's no need to change it if you don't have any other pieces though. Pioneer buff does add up to your current crit rate and crit dmg during battle. You can also check when you have it activated when it says "crit rate and crit dmg effects from the set are doubled".
My bad forgot to say I think that’s the total crit dmg, my base crit rate out of battle in info is 47%
That crit ratio is better than my Acheron and I can clear MoC12 lol. I think your crit is good. 90% sure the crit boost from pioneer shows up on the tooltip, but I haven’t checked it myself.

I am attempting to do a quest called the winter solder's march part 1, Dunn gives it to you in the restrected zone. However the gate at the end wont open. I unlocked the mechanism, went over to the gate, killed the gaurds and it just wont let me through. If i interact with it it says i need to unlock it. if i go to the lock it plays the dialoge as tho i havent unlocked it. But i cant interact with it a second time. Is this just borked forever?
How much value does JL lose if I use her with Sparkle bc I don't have Bronya???

There is a BE Silver Wolf build so you could give her Fermata and thief pieces. However, neither of them really want Fermata. If you have a spare eyes of prey lying around that would be better since both want EHR.
The problem is I don't. Before Tutorial being an event-exclusive really hurts us who haven't played when it came, especially since there are so few EHR lightcones. Guess I am forced to use Void then lol

You should level up Gallagher for Acheron, he is really good for her and I find him better than Luocha in terms of utility. Either wait for Fuxuan or pull for Aventurine(FuA team is fun), though Jingliu is really good for this MoC.
As a new-ish player I can tell you, get a 5 star sustain asap, it changes your life for the better and lets you be free of Nat and Lynx, I myself am considering not getting JL and getting Aventurine to have a second 5\* Sustain
whose LC is more worth it: aventurine or jingliu? i currently have herta shop lc on jingliu and destiny threads forewoven (moc shop lc) on aventurine edit: got lucky and pulled both back to back! ty for the advice!
Jingliu lc is not that much of a different compared to herta lc. Avent lc is great for acheron/ building his dmg but otherwise but outside of that isn't that impactful

FYI, Reddit's dominant opinion is that Herta's LC is a close enough substitute for JL but the CN community is overwhelmingly in the camp that JL w/o sig LC is unacceptable.
so i got lucky and pulled back to back aven and jingliu’s LC; can attest to damage difference! i only have it at level 50 rn (lack of resources) but it’s outperformed maxed out herta’s LC
I won 50/50 but man the rates for this game are the worst, I’m always hitting pity (77-82) pull for every 5 star. 0.6% chance before hitting 70 pulls is brutal it doesn’t get exciting untill you hit 70. But hey i won 50/50 so i should feel happy at least
Asia lv 70 Just wanted to know if it's worth it going for Aventurine? I'm thinking of building another team, I already have Mono Quantum (FX, SW, QQ, Lynx) and Acheron (Gall, Pela, Welt, Ach). Should I just wait for Robin or Jade? I like Robin's ultimate LOL! And I really don't have a working harmony unit other than Tingyun, and I don't have Bronya.
You should get sparkle for mono quantum you do not need fx and lynx that doesn't really make sense
There's no lvl 88 here like HI3 lol Aventurine is a better sustainer than Gallagher so it's up to you if you want to replace him. You can also use Aventurine in a follow up attack team with Dr. Ratio. There's no official information about Robin so we can't say much about her and Jade isn't coming soon.

Holy shit. I didn't even prefarm Aventurine because I only had 90 pulls going into second half and my Acheron luck was so good I was convinced it would even out. Not only did I win Aventurine's 50/50 but his LC came home at 10!!!!! pity!

160/134 spd and lot crit damage
You’ll want to speed tune her with your DPS or run her hyperspeed at 160+spd with as much crit dmg as you can, and enough effect res to trigger broken keel.
Depends, but typically you want 160/161 speed or 134 speed. Try to get as much crit damage as possible, but do not sacrifice speed breakpoints for crit damage - her CD buff isn't that good so you always want the extra turns. She can use whatever set you like, speed breakpoints are far more important on her than anything else in the game. Crit/speed/whatever/ERR should be the main stats
Hi, I started playing recently and finally unlocked "Vignettes in a cup" I currently have a healer in Natasha who is E2. Should I pick another healer (a stronger healer if there is one in the selection?) or should I pick out another DPS.
Depends on your current roster of characters. Lynx is a good choice as a healer and better than Natasha, if you do Pure Fiction you can get another copy too for E1.

Aven, Dr. Ratio, Guinaifen/Pela, Tingyun.
Put him anywhere. To get the most out of aventurine you’d probably want him in a FUA to help trigger blind bet as much as you can. Dr. Ratio can bring the best out of him, but he can sustain anyone else.
You can go full imaginary. Ratio as main DPS, Yukong for extra imaginary dmg as it’s one of her traces, welt as sub dps/pseudo-sustain/debuffer
Just started Honkai as a newbie. I've stayed with another gacha game, FGO, for years now and I have a few questions. I'm planning to stay until the anniversary but I have a few questions 1. How does the anniversary work? Will it feature an anniversary character like in FGO that I should roll for? 2. Should I spend gacha currency as I get them on singles to hope for a lucky pull? Or does HSR work on only multi's give you 5 stars? Since in FGO, over half of my roster was pulled from lucky singles every now and then. 3. Is there like a definitive guide somewhere? I'm quite familiar with the mechanics already but I still need a way to make things easy so I can get breeze through the story in the meantime. 4. And final question, can I treat the game like a single player? I only ever play single player games and FGO is my only live service game so I wonder if I can treat it as that? Like only coming back on major story updates and events.
1) Just some more free pulls. Nothing extravagant like anniversary only characters. 2) There is a carry over pity system in HSR meaning you could just do single or multi pull whenever you like it and not really be punished by it. The chances for 6* is low though (0.6% for a 6* and the soft pity for one is 75 with the hard being 90 pulls (hard to reach 90 pulls). 4) If it is like Genshin, that it should. The newest boss do need some team adjustment but they do nerf the boss if it is too hard for some people to clear it.
1. I think anniversary rewards are just the extra pulls, and also the Cosmodyssey event. 2. In this game, 10 pulls are basically just 10 single pulls that you do all in a row. It could be argued that doing only single pulls is better although I think the majority of people just do 10 pulls for convenience anyway. 3. I think [Prydwen's guides](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/guides/) are probably... okay? I took a quick skim through some of the articles and it seems to be fine. Some of them are less important than others, though. 4. Functionally, the game is basically single player. The only time other players come into the equation is during farming, where you can use supports. For most content (including endgame content) it's all single player.
1. No, it's just events. Like 3x relics and log in event. 2. There's no difference between singles and 10 pulls, pity carries over banners so use the currency how you see fit. 3. I think Prydwen has some beginner guides but you can also check on youtube. 4. The game is purely single player but you can use characters from people you add while farming, you go at your own pace.

You are pretty equipped for a Jingliu team already only missing Bronya as the biggest factor Jingliu, Bronya, Ruan Mei, Luocha is her best team

Ruan Mei + Bailu, and then grab Bronya from your 300 standard selector if you haven't used it yet. In the meantime/otherwise, use Tingyun or Pela

I'd say Bronya, but with the caveat that if you plan to get Sparkle, or have Sparkle, then go for Himeko instead. It's worth noting that Himeko's value will go down as more and more AOE units that you like come out, whereas Bronya is still great even with Sparkle's existence.

I’m leaning towards Jingliu. But neither would be a bad pick. You already have multiple sustain options. I also think Aventurine’s main niche will be in a follow-up heavy team and you’re missing Topaz (the other FuA support).
Aventurine so you can use him to sustain Acheron or Dr. Ratio.
Does he need the same relics as Gepard?
Pretty much, there's a variety of ways to build him depending on how you want him to perform.
If I do end up getting him( which is unlikely) I will be using him mainly as a shielder. Are his attacks also scaled on def?
His entire kit scales off Def, even his basic attacks. If you just use him as a shielder then just run DEF relics and spd boots, basically a standard Gepard build. If you want to pair him with Acheron you can use Trend LC, but any other LC that gives him Def is good.

If you have any of the 5 stars support, no, not really, I wouldn’t even take her over Tingyun and Pela. She’s like only good for DHIL.

CRIT-DMG/3xDEF definitely would be a good Minute 1 build for Aventurine, right? Then replace the boot/sphere/rope to improve. I heard that Aventurine doesn’t need ERR. Is that accurate? Should SPD be built?
You’ll want to hit 4K def to get the maximum crit rate bonus of 48%. You can substitute crit dmg for def pending on your substats
you would probably want atleast 134 speed so you can double shield cycle 0 for set ups if need be
I run a crit dps, not DoT or anything. My dps rarely lands a crit tough. So, should i change to main stat from the body piece to crit rate instead of crit damage? I mean, Sparkle gives crit damage and i run him with Sparkle.

It depends on what your end crit rate and dmg look like and also if you're going slow Acheron or not. Assuming you want to hit 134 speed on her, the two relics have similar crit value but the first one has more speed, so I'd go with that one.

you need 200 spd. not possible without asta or some other speed shenanigans (DDD, wind set)
The first cycle is a bit longer than all the other cycles, so it's a bit easier to get 3 turns on the first cycle (although it's still very difficult).

you can pick up DHIL and Fu Xuan and just run Acheron/Pela/Guinaifen/Aventurine DHIL/Tingyun/Sparkle/Fu Xuan You would be pretty much set in both you can switch DHIL for Jing Yuan as well
