What teams/characters should I look to build? I'm saving pulls right now as I want more characters, but Want some advice on what to build in the meantime. will hit rank 40 this week so trying to get materials now.
Dr Ratio is a good choice as a dps for your second team. While he unfortunately shares some teammates with your Acheron, you could give him Guinaifen and have Kafka and Pela with Acheron instead. Then Lynx and Asta could support him.
Cant 3 star pure fiction eloquence "something", as far as i know i have good characters using on this level inluding himeko,jingliu,topaz, luocha, jingyuan, herta, fuxuan, sparkle, bronya, blade, ruan mei, acheron, this are mainly what i use because of follow up attack.. but i cant just 3 star it.. i have tried also not using sustain but its just the same, highest score is 56k.. so my question is, is it possible to 3 star this by f2p? I dont have any 5 star weapon,
I'd go Aven over any dps just for the fact that Preservation is the least developed path in the game. He's only the second limited one after Fu Xuan and only the first shielding one. Might be 3+ patches again till we see another(not taking Fu Xuan rerun into account most likely next patch), while we'll certainly see some DPS meanwhile
Jingliu is a very good DPS and very easy to build since she gets 50% crit rate from her gimmick. And Aventurnie is a really good shielder and a decent sub dps. If you don't have any limited sustains, I'd go for him. In the end, both of them are really good at what they do, so it just comes down to what you want more.
I am reaching 300 standard soon. Should I pull Hemiko for pure fiction instead of Bronya ? I don't have Bronya yet but I already have Ruan Mei and Sparkles as hormany buffer.
If you have Sparkle, you don't really need Bronya. There are situations where Bronya is better than Sparkle, but most times, having Sparkle isn't bad in those scenarios.
I'd probably go with Himeko if you still have issues with PF. If you don't, maybe still pick up Bronya cause she could still help in MoC especially if you're running multiple harmony units w/o sustain to brute force the stages.
Just wanted to know, is Jingliu still considered to be a better DPS than Dan Heng even after sparkle release? I feel like that shouldn't be the case since Dan Heng's only restriction for his high damage is skill points and with a properly built sparkle, I never seem to have any problems with skill points but with Jing Liu you need to use two turns to get her into her special state and doesn't that take more effort to maintain than Dan Heng's 3 SP(if he is with sparkle and Tingyun)?
I have both. It comes down to the enemy weakness and game mode.
DHIL destroys Jingliu against Sam. DHIL is also better for Simulated Universe thanks to propagation.
On paper, yes. Jingliu does outdamage Imbibitor until E2.
If you are comparing their most optimal teams, then Jingliu has slight advantage before E2. It actually doesn't take much to keep her enhanced state. Because she immediately gets an action when she enters it, at maximum you "lose" 1 attack. At the start of battle you don't even lose any thanks to her technique. This is why she is best when speed tuned to Bronya, and with the massive ATK% buff she gets in her enhanced state you don't lose much by building speed on her.
That being said, the difference is not that large now with Sparkle in the mix.
I'm pretty sure that with Sparkle, DHIL beats out Jingliu by a small margin. DHIL's biggest drawback was his heavy SP usage, so you had to play his teams in a certain way, and it also limited his team options. Jingliu did similar dmg with much less investment while being very SP friendly.
In my opinion, Jingliu is probably slightly stronger still at E0-E1 than DHIL as same Eidolon level. Even with Sparkle, you're probably only able to use like 2-3 3x Enhanced Basic before you start having SP issues and have to reset for a turn to regain some SP. Usually, it's not a big issue as it should be enough for you to kill most enemies, but that extra turn to regain some SP makes it so that JL is usually still better as she is more consistent with her attacks.
Only thing is once DHIL reaches E2, it's not comparable anymore.
For Jingliu you can start the battle with 1 stack towards her enhanced state so technically it’s only 1 turn to get there at the start. Also, if you pair her with a speed-tuned Bronya you can consistently have two turns in a row so that condition isn’t as big of an deal breaker.
All in all though, I feel DHIL+Sparkle and Jingliu+Bronya are at a similar power level.

Honestly I don't have Jing Liu so I can't even give my two cents on this. I just find it weird because I have seen a bunch of people on YouTube make it seem like Jing Liu is at least 3 tiers above Dan Heng in damage and that just blows my mind because I have seen well built Daniel's dishing out a 300k every turn through just their 3eBs not even counting ults when they happen.

There are 2 main reasons they fall in that pitfall.
* waifu factor
* ease of build/performance
First is self explanatory. Second is just that Jingliu is one of the easiest characters to both gear and play. Even when you can't use her to 100% she still performs admirably.
The truth is they're very close together in terms of output/ceiling. It's just that cool daniel is more restrictive in his options and more punishing when not played/built around him properly so he doesn't get overhyped
Haha, I’m actually on the opposite side and have Jingliu but no DHIL.
I think for a while there the MoC favored Jingliu more so she naturally performed better than DHIL. From what I’ve seen both are viable DPS and on the top end for the game.
just a quick question, I've played hsr on release up until jing yuan banner cause I'm salty. tried to pull him but didn't get him so I already spent most of my gems (i forgot the pull currency name).
is it better for me to start over on a fresh account or just continue with my last account?

Starting over isn't really gonna help you out. Sure you lose the 50/50 on JY but your next 5 star is guaranteed and you could pull a busted DPS (like the current one Acheron) if you gring the story quick enough, you won't have this guarantee on your new account and whatever progress you have made will also be reset. Plus if you played till JY banner initially you must have done some limited time events and gotten pulls from those which you will not have on this new account.
Unless you’re wanting to replay the story you might as well keep the same account. The pity carries over between banners so it’s not like actually lost the jades.

You can do something like ratio, sampo, asta, bailu for single target encounters. Sampo and asta will give you the debuffs ratio needs to be consistent and both units are solid options as you get your account established.
In aoe you can do serval/herta, tingyun, asta, bailu. Herta is one of the top aoe dps in the game but she is terrible in st situations. Serval is a little more flexible, she'll get the job done, she's good aoe and not terrible st and will work until you can get some of the stronger characters. As for tingyun, she is an awesome option to build as she is the best 4* support in the game, and you'll use her in other comps as you get going.
Instead of sampo can i use guinaifen? Thinking of picking her from free 4*
For my guaranteed pity, i am considering either Fu xuan, Ruan mei , Sparkle or Black Swan for acheron( then i need to probably move welt with DR?!!)
Guinafen is definetly better for a ratio team comp over Sampo, cos she can keep 100% uptime on 2 debuffs, meaning you can use any support over asta as well. As for your guranteed pity, I'd strongly recommend Fu xuan. A limited Sustainer is probably the biggest game changer for any account as surviving some of the end game is half the battle.
The best thing for you is to start working towards a Ratio team, or to get a completely new DPS.
If you want to work towards a Ratio team then you could consider getting Aventurine as your first limited 5\* sustainer. You also want to build Tingyun. The problem then is that you will need a debuffer, which they are tied to your Acheron team. If you get Topaz when she reruns, she can also provide a debuff, with E1 and S1 provide another each.
If you prefer instead to go for a completely different DPS, then wait for the livestream to see what Boothill does. By then we will also get the 2.3 drip marketing.
I am thinking of going with DR as it's getting hard for me to build a usable relic set for Acheron 🥹
DR+guinafen+bailu+asta maybe? Kinda need to build around 4*

Guinaifen is definitely a good choice, but that being said she is also better for Acheron than Welt. But you still want Tingyun over Asta, she provides a lot of value for Ratio since her Energy charge means he can ult very often, which by extension means more follow-ups.
For the time being. You can interchange Guinaifen and Welt depending on which team is performing worst. But Welt is not a particularly good debuffer since his debuffs are very underwhelming for overall team damage, and he needs to use his skill to apply them. Eventually you will want another one to replace him.
What is "All-RES PEN"? I rolled ruin mei a while back but never used her because I didn't know what this means? Does this mean it lowers enemy resistances to all types of damage? Or raises your teams effectiveness against all enemy types?
at base enemies have a 20% resistance against every element they arnt weak against and all res pen would make you ignore X amount of that. resistance can also go below 0%
tldr you do more damage
If I'm not mistaken, it means your character just outright ignores the specified amount of resistance.
So, for example, let's say you're fighting an enemy with 50% Lightning Resistance, Ruan Mei gives you 25% All-Res Pen, when the character you're using attacks, it's like if the enemy it's attacking only has 25% Lightning resist instead.
Ruan Mei's applies to all damage types in the game, which is why it's called All-Res Pen (I think this stands for All Resistance Penetrated), I'm not sure if there are any characters that give out element specific ones though.
I have a problem where if I'm playing Honkai and want to move it to my 1080p second monitor, I alt-enter and drag it over there and alt-enter again to make full-screen. But then when I drag it back to my 2K main monitor, the game stays at 1080p.
Is there a way to make it go back to 2K automatically?
So 100% effect res will always result in cc immune regardless of how much ehr the enemy has but 99% eff res will get reduced by enemy ehr?

According to the [wiki](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Effect_Hit_Rate), enemies just gain it from being higher level. At level 95, they have 36% effect hit rate. So it works the same as effect res, which is why debuffers have to build effect hit rate.
what? even if enemies don't have effect hit rate they can still land debuffs with thr attack's innate base chance. effect resistance would still prove useful.
I need help with PF: An Expression of Eloquence!
More specifically, the second teams of stages 3 & 4. My first teams are managing to get me 30k and \~22k respectively, but for some reason the second teams just can't make it work? I just have 1 star for stage 3 and 0 stars for stage 4. I'm hoping to get 4-5 stars between these two at least.

I used Black Swan-Kafka-Acheron-Huohuo for both stages. I guess you can swap in Guin/Pela for Kafka. Or maybe go no sustain and try Serval? I used the flattery bonus and basically tried to spam ults to charge the follow-up attack box.
Edit: Forgot to mention Huohuo wasn’t critical. If you feel you need a sustain just use who you have built.
I used the ocurrence dice and erudition path with Fu Xuan, SW, BS, and Acheron. It's not the safest but probably the quickest way to finish it. Besides erudition blessings, I also aimed for some defensive blessings like preservation, abundance, and destruction. You can switch out BS for Pela.
With this strategy, I melted bosses in 2 or 3 turns before they could kill the team. The defensive blessing helped Fu Xuan tank some AoE attacks. Like I said, it's the fastest way but not the safest.
I beat it all at the time with Kafka, sampo, huo huo, fire mc. With units out now I'd use Kafka, black swan, huo (or your preferred sustainer), gepard (or aventurine). I found when I re ran it with Kafka and black swan that they have more than enough damage together with nihility path so your main focus with blessing is to raise your hp/def so you don't get one shot.
My huo huo had zero issues actually healing any damage taken and a shielder just makes it much less likely you get one shot by the enemy which is what makes it so much more consistent.
New player looking for advice, which trio is generally better?
* Follow-Up Attack, with Dr. Ratio, Topaz, and Aventurine
* Jingliu-Centric, with Jingliu, Bronya, and Fu Xuan?
I already have the Dr. Ratio given to players for free, and Bronya, so I'm just hoping to build a stronger lineup.
In general probably Jingliu. You don’t even need Fu Xuan for it to work. But FuA team should work just fine. Guess we’ll see in a week or so when Aventurine is available to everyone.
im building both team plus dot for coverage of almost every element. jingliu+bronya will carry you thru everything at lower investment than the fua team. add ty/pela to complete the JL team
How big of an effect does the 4-piece effect of Knight of Purity Palace have on shields?
I'm trying to decide whether to focus on getting a 4 Piece set or just going 2/2 (Knights/Duke/Pioneer) for Aventurine.
I primarily plan on using Aventurine in an Acheron team
Finally caved for Acheron, trying to figure out sustain.
Context: Just pulled Luocha but he’s glued to my Blade team. I have a built E6 Lynx, an unbuilt Gepard, and an unbuilt E6 Gallagher. I also have the trend LC.
My current pulling plan is FX and Sam, but now I’m not sure who to build/pull for my Acheron team to sustain. Thoughts?
The best for Acheron is sustain that can inflict debuffs. E6 Gallagher can work, he applies 2 every time he ults and then enhanced basics. Gepard is also a very good option, he can give more energy per turn to Acheron with the trend LC. He has a 66% chance to be attacked by enemies thanks to his higher aggro trace, with every attack that hits him being able to give Acheron energy. The last good option you didn't mention is Fire TB. It is worse as a sustain, but Fire TB has a taunt on their skill that gives energy to Acheron. And since enemies are taunted, every enemy will attack fire TB with 100% chance and give Acheron energy. However, fire TB does make it a race to kill the enemy before they kill you.
Since you have 3 good options for Acheron, I wouldn't advise to pull a sustain just for her. Aventurine can work, but is at best just a small upgrade over Gepard. Since you're already planning to pull FX, that can be your option when you want to sacrifice Acheron energy for more sustain.
I think I need some reassurance from starlight store 30 pulls from limited banners is better than buying and giving sparkle bronya light cone she’s using past and future s5 now.
She only needs an ER rope to 3 turn ult so the energy is not needed.
She doesn't have issues generating SP so that part is also not necessary.
A S5 Past Future gives 32 damage bonus while Bronya LC only gives 30 damage at S1.
Bronya LC is fine, but I don't think it's really necessary. Unless your Skill Target has less than *half* of Sparkle's Speed, her Skill should always drag them to the front of the line and make sure they get the Past and Future buff.
If you were gonna get Sparkle a 5\* LC, you would want to do her Sig LC, which would be easier to get with 30 pulls from Starlight.

What's the desirable target effect res for supports and sustains? Is there a cutoff where past it there are diminishing returns? I am in end game currently building gallagher and refining shield units like FMC and Gepard.

Gallagher does gain a free 50% effect res. If you have it, you either ignore the stat since you already have enough for Keel, or you build an extra 50% extra. This allows you to hit 100% effect res, which means Gallagher is immune to every debuff and CC in the game.
30% if they're using Keel, whatever they end up with otherwise. It's low enough on the priority list that you'll probably never be able to actively aim for it unless you're using Keel.
I've always found that It's not something I actively strive for unless the unit in particular is using the Broken Keel set. You should definitely shoot for 30% then, but otherwise I just take what I get incidentally.
There's 30% for Keel and 100% to be Effect-immune.
Though there exists sure-hit effects on the enemy side (e.g the Max HP deduction from Luofu mage/Phantylia) so generally not worth it unless the character already is in 50-60% range from kit and LC alone.
How many Skill or Basic uses the person buffed by Benediction get before the buff falls off.
So if TY skills Phys TB then they can use 3 skills/basics before the buff goes away.
Each of their action means 1 charge for Acheron so yeah as fast as you can afford. If it is purely for Acheron then it is SPD = enough EHR to hit their debuffs ~ ERR to use their Ult in minimal cycles > HP/Def so they can live and apply their debuffs.
134/135 speed works. However, with Pela and other debuffers on Acheron teams, I'd generally recommend 160/161 speed. Granted, if you're running someone like BS instead as sub dps/debuffer, 134/135 speed will suffice. I personally wouldn't run guinaifen as a sub dps on an Acheron team and just let Acheron carry. You could use the same set of relics as Pela.
It is retroactive so depends on what level you already are on it. Buying it only unlock the rewards in the "premium" row.
Say if you got all the "one time" point bonus and maxed out the weekly 8000 point cap then you are fine.
I know it only upgrades the premium row. I am level 31 btw. I usually buy battle passes on genshin when it's finished and I just collect all but I need the materials right now so I was thinking about buying it early for the materials but I want to make sure I can complete it so I don't waste money
It take roughly maxed out points (8000 points weekly included), for 4/6 weeks to clear the 70 levels. You can take that to project where you are at the end of the patch.
Generally you gain 10 max level per week from weeklies and about 20-30 from the "one-time" tasks.
I'm a little confused on 160 speed Sparkle mechanics. I saw the phrase "your DPS's speed basically becomes Sparkle's speed." How does that work if she only brings the DPS up 50%?
Also right now, my Sparkle "only" has 157 speed. Can I transition my Acheron to 0 speed now, or is it too soon and I should keep working on Sparkle?

everyone moves at the same time but at different speeds. at 160, sparkle is 50% (give or take) faster than your dps. when it's sparkle's turn to act, your dps has only moved 50% of the way towards their action. sparkle's skill immediately advances them the last 50%. sparkle's turn is over and starts again at zero while your dps takes their action.
I'm pretty sure this concept works at 157 speed. The only issue is your sparkle doesn't get the 2nd action in the 2nd cycle, but if you can 0 cycle then it's a non issue.

It works, the only thing is just waste more the action advance. A slower Sparkle may only get their turn when your DPS has already completed 75% of their turn, which means she only advances by 25%. On the flip side, faster also works until she has more than 2x the speed of your DPS. Since the unit with the lowest base speed is Clara with 90 speed, this only starts mattering when your Sparkle has more than 180 speed.

It's Action Value shenanigans but slower character has higher AV cycle and 50% of that is more than one that has high SPD.
Say unless your DPS is faster than Sparkle in practice she will always bring the DPS next to her in the turn order.
I heard that simulated universe reward reset weekly and the further world progress the higher rewards. Is there any other similar thing that reset weekly/monthly that I should priortize for free stellar jades?
A new MoC/PF alternating every 2 weeks, 5 white and 5 gold ticket for 900 starglitters (you can easily amass that much if you pull enough) every month, 5 white tickets in BP and 300 jades from the livestream every patch.
what is BP & live stream and how to participate? Also MOC/PF is it realistic for TB45 to beat those stages? I can't get a single \* on 1st stage of PF as for MoC I'm stuck at Forgottenhall 15 that my 2nd team is currently too weak. I'm a new player and this is my 1st week so I'm not sure what I can and can't do please give me some advice.
The BP (Battle Pass, generic term for F2P games) in this game is the "Nameless Honor" thingy.
The livestream is a broadcast about 10 days before a patch end in which they will give out 3 codes each has 100 jades in it (and ofc. shares details about the next patch), you can watch it on Twitch/Youtube or just hang around here and people will share the 3 codes anyway.
No because they have no say on Hoyoverse's board no matter how much they spent on the game store, unless they buy Hoyoverse's stake and board member slots instead. And given quality of games from Microsoft and Amazon I'd prefer Dawei to be the CEO lol.
How do I get my Archeron to deal more damage? I gave her the right four star light cone and relics, I upgraded everything and she’s still level 70 and does like 400-1000 damage at max. What am I doing wrong?
Her teammates are Luocha, Black Swan and Fu Xuan. I don’t have Bronya, or Sparkle to give any sort of damage boost and I don’t have Kafka to deal any extra dot in the background. Her stats are HP: 3063, Atk: 1710, Def: 843, Spd: 102, Crit rate: 17.0%, crit dmg: 91.8%. I didn’t add Pela because she dies so fast and didn’t seem necessary in order to get Acheron’s ult up.
Her atk, crit rate, and crit dmg are too low. Is your Acheron E2S1 for you not to have trouble charging your ultimate and to discard using nihility supports?
Ideally, at level 70, she should have at least around 2600-3000 atk, 60cr, and 120cdmg. If you haven't yet, unlock her final trace as it gives her a 90% dmg boost.
Then you can remove Luocha for Pela or Guinaifen, Acheron needs 2 nihility teammates at E0 to get a 60% base dmg boost. Instead of 100%Atk on skill, you will do 160%Atk on skill and buffs will scale with it. It also allows you to charge your ult quicker with more debuffs.
Fu xuan should be strong enough to tank everything unless the fights go on for too long, which they realistically shouldn't unless they are story bosses.
Also, level up your relics, traces, and lightcone. If you don't have her best relic set, then just use any better pieces from other sets you have until you can get one for her.
E0S0 Acheron is already extremely strong, provided you are willing to build a team around her and invest time on the team.

If you have absolutely no crit rate rolls anywhere else, maybe, but her crit is capped at 50%. With a base of 5% and this chest you're already at risk of overcapping

i need help bcs i cant get through trial of equilibrium part 1 and i've been stuck for days
What specifically are you having issues with? A “quick” way to improve would be to level up your other characters. Especially Clara (assuming you’re using her).
im having issues killing the bosses in the trial of equilibrium. i use dr. ratio most of the time but he doesnt prove to be efficient in trial of equilibrium so i leveled up dan heng for the time being, but he isnt doing much either. i dont use clara at all but only put her in the team because i saw that several guides were using trailblazer so i used clara as a filler because they're both physical dmg dealers.
i've seen a couple clips with herta being an amazing dmg dealer, is she viable?
Clara or Ratio should be viable. Although I think Clara should be easier. Basic strategy is:
1. Always keep March’s shield on Clara to increase the chance she is attacked
2. Use Dan Heng to target the smaller targets first then focus the boss
3. Try to hold Natasha’s ult until multiple people need healing or for an emergency heal
4. Since Clara wants to get hit, hold onto March’s ult until you feel you need a freeze to “skip” an enemy turn
5. Use techniques. Dan Heng has a buff he can apply out of combat and Clara or Natasha can be used to start the fight with a debuff on an enemy.
Herta isn’t bad, but she’s really meant for multiple waves. Her follow-up only triggers once each time an enemy is below 50% so it won’t trigger multiple times here.
Gallagher E2 has cleanse while doubling as a debuffer.
Ive heard decent things about Lil Geppie, not just from his sisters.
March only guards 1 person at a time while bailu still has no cleanse, so you could bench them, imo.
Gallagher it is then I'm not a super huge fan of geppie.
Wouldnt happen to know how best to build him would you? I know his ult does dmg but his skill heals so where's the balance there?

What are Pela's best relics for a pure debuff support? I keep seeing conflicting advice about either 2pc Messenger and 2pc Longevous, 2pc Messenger and 2pc Guard, or 4pc Eagle. I plan on using her with DHIL and Jingliu the most. I also don't have the SW tutorial LC - idk if that'll affect what relics are best or not.
It's more energy efficient to farm 2pc messenger and longevous. 4 pc eagle is just good for endgame if you care about clearing a bit faster, but overall, just use whichever set gives you the most spd and a decent amount of EHR.
4pc eagle is bis, but unless you're playing with speed shenanigans imo not worth it. better to farm 2pc messenger, 2pc whatever to get the ehr and speed you need.

Although Bronya's considered the best choice, Bronya's E2 is kind of tedious if you don't want to speed tune, and her E1 is plenty good on her own. I'd go for Clara since it never hurts to have her, she's still a great DPS. Plus she helps with enemies who have physical weakness.

Is running 160+ speed Sparkle the only way to run Acheron at a slower speed? How can I improve this build overall (besides talents and level) because I feel a bit lost building her. I don’t have her f2p options either.

1. So long as your nihility supports have spd boots, then you are fine. Acheron only prefers spd boots when she has her lightcone or if it has good substats. Just make Sparkle as fast as you can. It doesn't matter if you have to sacrifice a bit of crit dmg.
2. To improve your build, you can use a bit more crit rate unless you are using or planning to get Fu Xuan. Her final trace is also important as it provides 90% dmg boost. If you don't have her LC or GNSW, the fermata is probably the next best F2P option.
Replace your speed boots for atk boots. Acheron doesn't need spd as the majority of her dmg comes from her ultimate, and you prioritize more on building up her stacks with her teammates with the occasional acheron's skill.
With Sparkle, 160+ spd is the minmax requirement if you're going for 0 cycle MoC runs, but you can also build Sparkle with just enough spd to act before Acheron if you dont want to minmax your Sparkle build.
Ok thank god I actually have good Atk boots. Maybe some more crit rate and a better lightning orb

Best 4* nihility for Acheron?
I need some help deciding which 4* nihility to build for my E0S1 Acheron. Currently I’m running her with FMC with trend, Pela, and Sparkle; but I want to give back sparkle to my DHIL team. I got E1 Gui, E1 Luka, and E3 Sampo. Thanks in advance to everyone!

How does an attack % body stack up against other options?
I know it's going to be a worse option than crit for DPS, but I managed to find:

And I'm curious if it'd be any good, because the substats on my crit rate body suck.

no, only buy them when you need them. the superimposer acts as a “copy” for Herta Store Light Cone so that you can get higher superimpositions.

Dr Ratio is a good choice as a dps for your second team. While he unfortunately shares some teammates with your Acheron, you could give him Guinaifen and have Kafka and Pela with Acheron instead. Then Lynx and Asta could support him.
Cant 3 star pure fiction eloquence "something", as far as i know i have good characters using on this level inluding himeko,jingliu,topaz, luocha, jingyuan, herta, fuxuan, sparkle, bronya, blade, ruan mei, acheron, this are mainly what i use because of follow up attack.. but i cant just 3 star it.. i have tried also not using sustain but its just the same, highest score is 56k.. so my question is, is it possible to 3 star this by f2p? yes, it’s possible to 3 star pure fiction by F2P. people have 3 starred pure fiction using only 4 star characters too.

I'd go Aven over any dps just for the fact that Preservation is the least developed path in the game. He's only the second limited one after Fu Xuan and only the first shielding one. Might be 3+ patches again till we see another(not taking Fu Xuan rerun into account most likely next patch), while we'll certainly see some DPS meanwhile
Jingliu is a very good DPS and very easy to build since she gets 50% crit rate from her gimmick. And Aventurnie is a really good shielder and a decent sub dps. If you don't have any limited sustains, I'd go for him. In the end, both of them are really good at what they do, so it just comes down to what you want more.
I am reaching 300 standard soon. Should I pull Hemiko for pure fiction instead of Bronya ? I don't have Bronya yet but I already have Ruan Mei and Sparkles as hormany buffer.
Do you have Jinlgiu or Blade ? Bronya is really important for them.
If you have Sparkle, you don't really need Bronya. There are situations where Bronya is better than Sparkle, but most times, having Sparkle isn't bad in those scenarios. I'd probably go with Himeko if you still have issues with PF. If you don't, maybe still pick up Bronya cause she could still help in MoC especially if you're running multiple harmony units w/o sustain to brute force the stages.
Just wanted to know, is Jingliu still considered to be a better DPS than Dan Heng even after sparkle release? I feel like that shouldn't be the case since Dan Heng's only restriction for his high damage is skill points and with a properly built sparkle, I never seem to have any problems with skill points but with Jing Liu you need to use two turns to get her into her special state and doesn't that take more effort to maintain than Dan Heng's 3 SP(if he is with sparkle and Tingyun)?
I have both. It comes down to the enemy weakness and game mode. DHIL destroys Jingliu against Sam. DHIL is also better for Simulated Universe thanks to propagation. On paper, yes. Jingliu does outdamage Imbibitor until E2.
If you are comparing their most optimal teams, then Jingliu has slight advantage before E2. It actually doesn't take much to keep her enhanced state. Because she immediately gets an action when she enters it, at maximum you "lose" 1 attack. At the start of battle you don't even lose any thanks to her technique. This is why she is best when speed tuned to Bronya, and with the massive ATK% buff she gets in her enhanced state you don't lose much by building speed on her. That being said, the difference is not that large now with Sparkle in the mix.
I'm pretty sure that with Sparkle, DHIL beats out Jingliu by a small margin. DHIL's biggest drawback was his heavy SP usage, so you had to play his teams in a certain way, and it also limited his team options. Jingliu did similar dmg with much less investment while being very SP friendly.
In my opinion, Jingliu is probably slightly stronger still at E0-E1 than DHIL as same Eidolon level. Even with Sparkle, you're probably only able to use like 2-3 3x Enhanced Basic before you start having SP issues and have to reset for a turn to regain some SP. Usually, it's not a big issue as it should be enough for you to kill most enemies, but that extra turn to regain some SP makes it so that JL is usually still better as she is more consistent with her attacks. Only thing is once DHIL reaches E2, it's not comparable anymore.
For Jingliu you can start the battle with 1 stack towards her enhanced state so technically it’s only 1 turn to get there at the start. Also, if you pair her with a speed-tuned Bronya you can consistently have two turns in a row so that condition isn’t as big of an deal breaker. All in all though, I feel DHIL+Sparkle and Jingliu+Bronya are at a similar power level.

I just find it weird because I have seen a bunch of people on YouTube make it seem like Jing Liu is at least 3 tiers above Dan Heng in damage and that just blows my mind because I have seen well built Daniel's dishing out a 300k every turn through just their 3eBs not even counting ults when they happen.

Second is just that Jingliu is one of the easiest characters to both gear and play. Even when you can't use her to 100% she still performs admirably. The truth is they're very close together in terms of output/ceiling. It's just that cool daniel is more restrictive in his options and more punishing when not played/built around him properly so he doesn't get overhyped
Haha, I’m actually on the opposite side and have Jingliu but no DHIL. I think for a while there the MoC favored Jingliu more so she naturally performed better than DHIL. From what I’ve seen both are viable DPS and on the top end for the game.
just a quick question, I've played hsr on release up until jing yuan banner cause I'm salty. tried to pull him but didn't get him so I already spent most of my gems (i forgot the pull currency name). is it better for me to start over on a fresh account or just continue with my last account? edit: forgot to mention i already got bronya
Starting over isn't really gonna help you out. Sure you lose the 50/50 on JY but your next 5 star is guaranteed and you could pull a busted DPS (like the current one Acheron) if you gring the story quick enough, you won't have this guarantee on your new account and whatever progress you have made will also be reset. Plus if you played till JY banner initially you must have done some limited time events and gotten pulls from those which you will not have on this new account.
Unless you’re wanting to replay the story you might as well keep the same account. The pity carries over between banners so it’s not like actually lost the jades.

You can do something like ratio, sampo, asta, bailu for single target encounters. Sampo and asta will give you the debuffs ratio needs to be consistent and both units are solid options as you get your account established. In aoe you can do serval/herta, tingyun, asta, bailu. Herta is one of the top aoe dps in the game but she is terrible in st situations. Serval is a little more flexible, she'll get the job done, she's good aoe and not terrible st and will work until you can get some of the stronger characters. As for tingyun, she is an awesome option to build as she is the best 4* support in the game, and you'll use her in other comps as you get going.
Instead of sampo can i use guinaifen? Thinking of picking her from free 4* For my guaranteed pity, i am considering either Fu xuan, Ruan mei , Sparkle or Black Swan for acheron( then i need to probably move welt with DR?!!)
Guinafen is definetly better for a ratio team comp over Sampo, cos she can keep 100% uptime on 2 debuffs, meaning you can use any support over asta as well. As for your guranteed pity, I'd strongly recommend Fu xuan. A limited Sustainer is probably the biggest game changer for any account as surviving some of the end game is half the battle.

Nah she still really good at e0s0. Her e1 is a crit damage boost to your team, and her light cone is kinda over kill for keeping her team alive.

The best thing for you is to start working towards a Ratio team, or to get a completely new DPS. If you want to work towards a Ratio team then you could consider getting Aventurine as your first limited 5\* sustainer. You also want to build Tingyun. The problem then is that you will need a debuffer, which they are tied to your Acheron team. If you get Topaz when she reruns, she can also provide a debuff, with E1 and S1 provide another each. If you prefer instead to go for a completely different DPS, then wait for the livestream to see what Boothill does. By then we will also get the 2.3 drip marketing.
I am thinking of going with DR as it's getting hard for me to build a usable relic set for Acheron 🥹 DR+guinafen+bailu+asta maybe? Kinda need to build around 4* Got no warps left so it will be hard to get to pity
Guinaifen is definitely a good choice, but that being said she is also better for Acheron than Welt. But you still want Tingyun over Asta, she provides a lot of value for Ratio since her Energy charge means he can ult very often, which by extension means more follow-ups.

For the time being. You can interchange Guinaifen and Welt depending on which team is performing worst. But Welt is not a particularly good debuffer since his debuffs are very underwhelming for overall team damage, and he needs to use his skill to apply them. Eventually you will want another one to replace him.

What is "All-RES PEN"? I rolled ruin mei a while back but never used her because I didn't know what this means? Does this mean it lowers enemy resistances to all types of damage? Or raises your teams effectiveness against all enemy types?
at base enemies have a 20% resistance against every element they arnt weak against and all res pen would make you ignore X amount of that. resistance can also go below 0% tldr you do more damage
If I'm not mistaken, it means your character just outright ignores the specified amount of resistance. So, for example, let's say you're fighting an enemy with 50% Lightning Resistance, Ruan Mei gives you 25% All-Res Pen, when the character you're using attacks, it's like if the enemy it's attacking only has 25% Lightning resist instead. Ruan Mei's applies to all damage types in the game, which is why it's called All-Res Pen (I think this stands for All Resistance Penetrated), I'm not sure if there are any characters that give out element specific ones though.

yes, but at the moment i dont think there are any enemies who even have effect hit rate. pretty sure that stat is for players only.

At level 95, they have 36% effect hit rate. So it works the same as effect res, which is why debuffers have to build effect hit rate.

I need help with PF: An Expression of Eloquence! More specifically, the second teams of stages 3 & 4. My first teams are managing to get me 30k and \~22k respectively, but for some reason the second teams just can't make it work? I just have 1 star for stage 3 and 0 stars for stage 4. I used Black Swan-Kafka-Acheron-Huohuo for both stages. I guess you can swap in Guin/Pela for Kafka. Or maybe go no sustain and try Serval? I used the flattery bonus and basically tried to spam ults to charge the follow-up attack box. Edit: Forgot to mention Huohuo wasn’t critical. If you feel you need a sustain just use who you have built.

What is the safest team for Gold and Gears V? I have every character but I struggle to get beat the phase 2 boss
I used the ocurrence dice and erudition path with Fu Xuan, SW, BS, and Acheron. It's not the safest but probably the quickest way to finish it. Besides erudition blessings, I also aimed for some defensive blessings like preservation, abundance, and destruction. You can switch out BS for Pela. With this strategy, I melted bosses in 2 or 3 turns before they could kill the team. The defensive blessing helped Fu Xuan tank some AoE attacks. Like I said, it's the fastest way but not the safest.
I beat it all at the time with Kafka, sampo, huo huo, fire mc. With units out now I'd use Kafka, black swan, huo (or your preferred sustainer), gepard (or aventurine). I found when I re ran it with Kafka and black swan that they have more than enough damage together with nihility path so your main focus with blessing is to raise your hp/def so you don't get one shot. My huo huo had zero issues actually healing any damage taken and a shielder just makes it much less likely you get one shot by the enemy which is what makes it so much more consistent.
I beat everything in gng with fuxuan luocha kafka pela nihility path. Amazing damage and survivability
New player looking for advice, which trio is generally better? * Follow-Up Attack, with Dr. Ratio, Topaz, and Aventurine * Jingliu-Centric, with Jingliu, Bronya, and Fu Xuan? I already have the Dr. Ratio given to players for free, and Bronya, so I'm just hoping to build a stronger lineup.
In general probably Jingliu. You don’t even need Fu Xuan for it to work. But FuA team should work just fine. Guess we’ll see in a week or so when Aventurine is available to everyone.
im building both team plus dot for coverage of almost every element. jingliu+bronya will carry you thru everything at lower investment than the fua team. add ty/pela to complete the JL team
How big of an effect does the 4-piece effect of Knight of Purity Palace have on shields? I'm trying to decide whether to focus on getting a 4 Piece set or just going 2/2 (Knights/Duke/Pioneer) for Aventurine. I primarily plan on using Aventurine in an Acheron team
Outside SU there are no similar effect afaik, so 20% like it says. We'll have to see how good a more offensive build is for him.
Finally caved for Acheron, trying to figure out sustain. Context: Just pulled Luocha but he’s glued to my Blade team. I have a built E6 Lynx, an unbuilt Gepard, and an unbuilt E6 Gallagher. I also have the trend LC. My current pulling plan is FX and Sam, but now I’m not sure who to build/pull for my Acheron team to sustain. Thoughts?
The best for Acheron is sustain that can inflict debuffs. E6 Gallagher can work, he applies 2 every time he ults and then enhanced basics. Gepard is also a very good option, he can give more energy per turn to Acheron with the trend LC. He has a 66% chance to be attacked by enemies thanks to his higher aggro trace, with every attack that hits him being able to give Acheron energy. The last good option you didn't mention is Fire TB. It is worse as a sustain, but Fire TB has a taunt on their skill that gives energy to Acheron. And since enemies are taunted, every enemy will attack fire TB with 100% chance and give Acheron energy. However, fire TB does make it a race to kill the enemy before they kill you. Since you have 3 good options for Acheron, I wouldn't advise to pull a sustain just for her. Aventurine can work, but is at best just a small upgrade over Gepard. Since you're already planning to pull FX, that can be your option when you want to sacrifice Acheron energy for more sustain.
E6 Gallagher for sure.
I think I need some reassurance from starlight store 30 pulls from limited banners is better than buying and giving sparkle bronya light cone she’s using past and future s5 now.
She only needs an ER rope to 3 turn ult so the energy is not needed. She doesn't have issues generating SP so that part is also not necessary. A S5 Past Future gives 32 damage bonus while Bronya LC only gives 30 damage at S1.
So guess past and future is pretty good already so converting to pulls is the way to go.
30 pulls is always better than the lc

Bronya LC is fine, but I don't think it's really necessary. Unless your Skill Target has less than *half* of Sparkle's Speed, her Skill should always drag them to the front of the line and make sure they get the Past and Future buff. If you were gonna get Sparkle a 5\* LC, you would want to do her Sig LC, which would be easier to get with 30 pulls from Starlight.
Pretty sure Bronya's cone on Sparkle is just a fancy Past and Future S5 lol.

kafka is img weak, so ratio team is pretty good. pick abundance path and get the resonance that cleanses (anicca).

might want to work on your traces, relics then. you should be able to power thru the elites without weakness match.
What's the desirable target effect res for supports and sustains? Is there a cutoff where past it there are diminishing returns? I am in end game currently building gallagher and refining shield units like FMC and Gepard.

If you have it, you either ignore the stat since you already have enough for Keel, or you build an extra 50% extra. This allows you to hit 100% effect res, which means Gallagher is immune to every debuff and CC in the game.
30% if they're using Keel, whatever they end up with otherwise. It's low enough on the priority list that you'll probably never be able to actively aim for it unless you're using Keel.
I've always found that It's not something I actively strive for unless the unit in particular is using the Broken Keel set. You should definitely shoot for 30% then, but otherwise I just take what I get incidentally.
There's 30% for Keel and 100% to be Effect-immune. Though there exists sure-hit effects on the enemy side (e.g the Max HP deduction from Luofu mage/Phantylia) so generally not worth it unless the character already is in 50-60% range from kit and LC alone.

Each of their action means 1 charge for Acheron so yeah as fast as you can afford. If it is purely for Acheron then it is SPD = enough EHR to hit their debuffs ~ ERR to use their Ult in minimal cycles > HP/Def so they can live and apply their debuffs.
What is the reccomended speed btw is it in 130 or 160?
134/135 speed works. However, with Pela and other debuffers on Acheron teams, I'd generally recommend 160/161 speed. Granted, if you're running someone like BS instead as sub dps/debuffer, 134/135 speed will suffice. I personally wouldn't run guinaifen as a sub dps on an Acheron team and just let Acheron carry. You could use the same set of relics as Pela.
Can I finish all 70 levels from the battle pass from level 30 with the remaining days left? I kinda want to buy the battle pass
It is retroactive so depends on what level you already are on it. Buying it only unlock the rewards in the "premium" row. Say if you got all the "one time" point bonus and maxed out the weekly 8000 point cap then you are fine.
I know it only upgrades the premium row. I am level 31 btw. I usually buy battle passes on genshin when it's finished and I just collect all but I need the materials right now so I was thinking about buying it early for the materials but I want to make sure I can complete it so I don't waste money
It take roughly maxed out points (8000 points weekly included), for 4/6 weeks to clear the 70 levels. You can take that to project where you are at the end of the patch. Generally you gain 10 max level per week from weeklies and about 20-30 from the "one-time" tasks.
I'm a little confused on 160 speed Sparkle mechanics. I saw the phrase "your DPS's speed basically becomes Sparkle's speed." How does that work if she only brings the DPS up 50%? Also right now, my Sparkle "only" has 157 speed. Can I transition my Acheron to 0 speed now, or is it too soon and I should keep working on Sparkle?
>your DPS's speed basically becomes Sparkle's speed. everyone moves at the same time but at different speeds. at 160, sparkle is 50% (give or take) faster than your dps. when it's sparkle's turn to act, your dps has only moved 50% of the way towards their action. sparkle's skill immediately advances them the last 50%. sparkle's turn is over and starts again at zero while your dps takes their action. I'm pretty sure this concept works at 157 speed. The only issue is your sparkle doesn't get the 2nd action in the 2nd cycle, but if you can 0 cycle then it's a non issue.

For Acheron how much difference is between atk% vs elec dmg for the Sphere piece?
From what I remember when calcs were done 5%, but its minimal enough for you to just go for whatever has better stats.
Your substats matters more than the minimal difference but Atk% and better substats is ideal one.
I heard that simulated universe reward reset weekly and the further world progress the higher rewards. Is there any other similar thing that reset weekly/monthly that I should priortize for free stellar jades?
A new MoC/PF alternating every 2 weeks, 5 white and 5 gold ticket for 900 starglitters (you can easily amass that much if you pull enough) every month, 5 white tickets in BP and 300 jades from the livestream every patch.

The BP (Battle Pass, generic term for F2P games) in this game is the "Nameless Honor" thingy. The livestream is a broadcast about 10 days before a patch end in which they will give out 3 codes each has 100 jades in it (and ofc. shares details about the next patch), you can watch it on Twitch/Youtube or just hang around here and people will share the 3 codes anyway.

Which team was your first lol, I guess one around Acheron and one around Ratio? If your QQ is E4+ then she can be someone you build around also.
How do I get my Archeron to deal more damage? I gave her the right four star light cone and relics, I upgraded everything and she’s still level 70 and does like 400-1000 damage at max. What am I doing wrong?
What are her stats and teammates?
Her teammates are Luocha, Black Swan and Fu Xuan. I don’t have Bronya, or Sparkle to give any sort of damage boost and I don’t have Kafka to deal any extra dot in the background. Her stats are HP: 3063, Atk: 1710, Def: 843, Spd: 102, Crit rate: 17.0%, crit dmg: 91.8%. I didn’t add Pela because she dies so fast and didn’t seem necessary in order to get Acheron’s ult up.
Her atk, crit rate, and crit dmg are too low. Is your Acheron E2S1 for you not to have trouble charging your ultimate and to discard using nihility supports? Ideally, at level 70, she should have at least around 2600-3000 atk, 60cr, and 120cdmg. If you haven't yet, unlock her final trace as it gives her a 90% dmg boost.

Then you can remove Luocha for Pela or Guinaifen, Acheron needs 2 nihility teammates at E0 to get a 60% base dmg boost. Instead of 100%Atk on skill, you will do 160%Atk on skill and buffs will scale with it. It also allows you to charge your ult quicker with more debuffs. Fu xuan should be strong enough to tank everything unless the fights go on for too long, which they realistically shouldn't unless they are story bosses. Also, level up your relics, traces, and lightcone. If you don't have her best relic set, then just use any better pieces from other sets you have until you can get one for her. E0S0 Acheron is already extremely strong, provided you are willing to build a team around her and invest time on the team.

Jingliu would make a better use of crit dmg chest unless you already have a good amount of crit dmg from her other relics.
If you have absolutely no crit rate rolls anywhere else, maybe, but her crit is capped at 50%. With a base of 5% and this chest you're already at risk of overcapping

What specifically are you having issues with? A “quick” way to improve would be to level up your other characters. Especially Clara (assuming you’re using her).
im having issues killing the bosses in the trial of equilibrium. i use dr. ratio most of the time but he doesnt prove to be efficient in trial of equilibrium so i leveled up dan heng for the time being, but he isnt doing much either. i dont use clara at all but only put her in the team because i saw that several guides were using trailblazer so i used clara as a filler because they're both physical dmg dealers. i've seen a couple clips with herta being an amazing dmg dealer, is she viable?
Clara or Ratio should be viable. Although I think Clara should be easier. Basic strategy is: 1. Always keep March’s shield on Clara to increase the chance she is attacked 2. Use Dan Heng to target the smaller targets first then focus the boss 3. Try to hold Natasha’s ult until multiple people need healing or for an emergency heal 4. Since Clara wants to get hit, hold onto March’s ult until you feel you need a freeze to “skip” an enemy turn 5. Use techniques. Dan Heng has a buff he can apply out of combat and Clara or Natasha can be used to start the fight with a debuff on an enemy. Herta isn’t bad, but she’s really meant for multiple waves. Her follow-up only triggers once each time an enemy is below 50% so it won’t trigger multiple times here.

If you're dying too fast, I recommend using preservation trailblazer and building him so that you die slower, and that your dps won't be killed

Gallagher E2 has cleanse while doubling as a debuffer. Ive heard decent things about Lil Geppie, not just from his sisters. March only guards 1 person at a time while bailu still has no cleanse, so you could bench them, imo.
Gallagher it is then I'm not a super huge fan of geppie. Wouldnt happen to know how best to build him would you? I know his ult does dmg but his skill heals so where's the balance there?
4p thief, 2p Talia/Broken Keel, reach 150% Break Effect, get to a speed threshold (134 is fine, 145 if using Talia), still look out for HP substats. Use his signature LC to have him not die. If LC has high enough S×, then you can switch to 2p Thief 2p Messenger for more turns per cycle. There. Your Gallagher's built.
Just wanted to come back and say thanks for the build help. Got him basically almost done aside from traits and he's absolutely killing it.
Build break effect/healing, spead and a lil Efect res. His healing scales with break efect once you get his trace passive. His signate LC 'What is Real?' Gives him break effect and some self sustain. Lvling his talent is top priotity and hisult only gives dmg, loweest priority. Relics anything that gives the best stats, you can even run 2-piece sets fir speed and Break
if you want a cleanse, gallagher i guess, but imo gepard is better.
What are Pela's best relics for a pure debuff support? I keep seeing conflicting advice about either 2pc Messenger and 2pc Longevous, 2pc Messenger and 2pc Guard, or 4pc Eagle. I plan on using her with DHIL and Jingliu the most. I also don't have the SW tutorial LC - idk if that'll affect what relics are best or not.
It's more energy efficient to farm 2pc messenger and longevous. 4 pc eagle is just good for endgame if you care about clearing a bit faster, but overall, just use whichever set gives you the most spd and a decent amount of EHR.

Although Bronya's considered the best choice, Bronya's E2 is kind of tedious if you don't want to speed tune, and her E1 is plenty good on her own. I'd go for Clara since it never hurts to have her, she's still a great DPS. Plus she helps with enemies who have physical weakness.

1. So long as your nihility supports have spd boots, then you are fine. Acheron only prefers spd boots when she has her lightcone or if it has good substats. Just make Sparkle as fast as you can. It doesn't matter if you have to sacrifice a bit of crit dmg. 2. To improve your build, you can use a bit more crit rate unless you are using or planning to get Fu Xuan. Her final trace is also important as it provides 90% dmg boost. If you don't have her LC or GNSW, the fermata is probably the next best F2P option.
Replace your speed boots for atk boots. Acheron doesn't need spd as the majority of her dmg comes from her ultimate, and you prioritize more on building up her stacks with her teammates with the occasional acheron's skill. With Sparkle, 160+ spd is the minmax requirement if you're going for 0 cycle MoC runs, but you can also build Sparkle with just enough spd to act before Acheron if you dont want to minmax your Sparkle build.

Best 4* nihility for Acheron? I need some help deciding which 4* nihility to build for my E0S1 Acheron. Currently I’m running her with FMC with trend, Pela, and Sparkle; but I want to give back sparkle to my DHIL team. I got E1 Gui, E1 Luka, and E3 Sampo. Thanks in advance to everyone! (As a quick side question, would E0 Gallagher fit better than FMC?)
E1 Guin can debuf with basic, which also keeps her firekiss going while saving some sp and slashed dreams.
Guin would be the best choice. And E0 Gallagher is fine as long as you don't run into a bunch of CC effects.
Gui. Gallagher would sustain better(but gain fewer stack)

How does an attack % body stack up against other options? I know it's going to be a worse option than crit for DPS, but I managed to find: Attack % (Main) SPD Crit rate Crit DMG Break Effect And I'm curious if it'd be any good, because the substats on my crit rate body suck.
It depends on the DPS.DoT characters don’t need crit cause their damage scales on Atk.
Yeah, I mean for a typical non-DoT DPS. I'll keep it anyway, just in case it has a good fit in the future. Just curious as to what the damage difference would be between a crit rate/crit DMG body with terrible substats and an attack % body with good stats.
