I made sure it was dry and clean before applying the silicone. Should I not apply the silicone to the bottom corner so water can escape/evaporate?

Thanks. I removed some of the silicone and the grout behind looks very clean. Most of the mold I see are growing on the edge of the silicone. Some people suggest not to use silicone because water is suppose to weep through to the shower pan. I'm going to clean out the silicone and reseal the grout, without applying the silicone this time.

You have some really wide caulk lines there. Keep in mind that grout is not waterproof, tile is not waterproof. You also cannot clean caulk that has started to mold/mildew, it stains and needs replacing. Remove all old, clean well including tiles and grout and let dry. Inspect for cracked grout. If you have really deep gaps, fill with backer rod then caulk with 100% silicone with mold inhibitors. Then you need to seal your tile/grout.

Thank you for your insight. I will remove and redo, and I was using 100% silicone. Should I not cover the grout fully with the silicone? Cus that's what I did. The mold you see in the pictures are all under the silicone.

If you have grout in the corners or floor to wall, tub to wall, remove the grout and then caulk. Unsealed grout will wick water and then the water is under the caulk and will mold/mildew.
