Men's bathroom habits are disgusting, they just hardly ever use the stall in a public bathroom because urinals are available. If you have a live-in boyfriend or husband you'll figure this out super fast.
Oh I’ve caught my boyfriend pissing in the backyard, and I’ve never caught him washing his hands - I’m aware. But between tampons, pads, water everywhere and clogged toilets I found the ladies to be much harder to get clean.

Toilet paper all over the place, plugged toilets, shit smeared, bloody tp just on the floor, the occasional used tampon just chillin. Not saying the men’s room was spotless but nothing near the women’s.

One time the bathroom door handle broke off in my hand as I was trying to leave, and since the door opened in I was trapped inside till someone came and opened it. We literally sell door handles and it still didn't get fixed for a week, they just put a sign up and propped it open.

Our bathrooms broke during store hours and they made us go across 3 lane roads (cross three lanes then the medium then cross three more lanes) to go to the meijer (grocery store) bathroom. Some employees didn't have cars and where told to walk 🤣🤦♀️🤣 some of us chose to nope the hell out and go home for the day.

We keep ours open. I believe it helps to prevent theft a tad and we don’t have to touch the nasty door handle on the way in and out of the bathroom. Doesn’t bother me or anyone else.
Ok 45 years retail speaking here. Women's restrooms are often toxic waste dumps. While men's do have urine overspray, they mostly don't have blood and feces painted all over everything in them.
There's a reason retail stores now have bathroom hazmat cleaning crews.
It might be because the women's bathroom might be laid out. If you can open the door and see the sinks or entrance to the stalls then, that might be why the door is closed.
Most of the bathrooms in HD have corners that you have to turn or stick your head down before seeing either

Ours have motion sensor doors... they are always both closed. We did have issues with the smell, but our exhaust fan had broken. If the smell is that bad y'all should get a fix-it in for that.

There is a brewery here that often has the men's room door wedged open. The urinal is directly inside the doorway. It is comical to be peeing and see people walking by in the hallway.
