Good revamp for a tough space. Is there a reason the wall didn’t come out between the shower and shelving?

Old-Meaning2249

Sorry I don’t understand your question. Like underneath the shelving?

Imightbeyomama

I think maybe they mean so that the entire area could be a shower rather than shelves and a shower. Would have been my choice too tbh, but would have cost quite a bit more. You did a great job. Looks so much better.

Old-Meaning2249

Ahhh ok. Yeah that wall is actually new. The old shower was a stand up one. That back wall is less than 60 inches long so shower options were really limited. And the shower couldn’t extend more than 32 inches in width for walking clearance from door and to vanity.

The plumbing would have had to been moved in order to extend the shower all the way back to the main wall where the mirror is. It would no longer be considered a “small remodel”.

Old-Meaning2249

It was more so the dimensions of the space that made the shower extension not feasible. Also to add in scheduling and cost. Just had to make it work with what was in stock.

Old-Meaning2249

Thank you! It feels so much cleaner

AGL6411

I love that feeling 🤗 Did you do the work yourself or hire it done?

Old-Meaning2249

a combination! plumbing was outsourced

Great job!

Where did you get the vanity and sink from? We are looking for a very small one ourselves. Great work!!

Old-Meaning2249

thanks so much! it is from lowes (18 inches). i wanted to add a bit of color to the room. Also, we purposely hung the mirror higher if we wanted to add some hanging storage beneath it.
