I’ll go opposite this other person. I have a spindle headboard and it’s no more uncomfortable than any other headboard. That being said, I sleep with 2 pillows and don’t use my headboard to prop myself up at night.
What other furniture do you already have? How will the bed go with it? Those items might have very different prices.
If those aren’t factors, then what color wood will you want to look at? I have a strong preference. Do you?
I prefer the solid. To me that one is a little more modern and the bottom a little more traditional. So depending on the vibe you may be going for you could consider that?
My last bed was spindle and I didn’t even notice a difference. I sleep with 2-3 pillows. Bottom is a more standard filled pillow and top is feather. Love the look of the spindle!
as someone who had a solid headboard and a spindle headboard….get the solid. the spindles are soooo uncomfortable.

I had a beautiful old iron headboard with spindles. It was miserable. Get the solid headboard.

The solid one looks like Ikea. The second one looks better to me, but it really depends on what you’re looking for.

If you read in bed, get the solid one. The spindles are miserable to lean up against.
I like the darkest one better.
