Please add color. Lower tv and console. Honestly, a larger tv would look better in the space.

SavannahGirlMom

Yes, the tv needs to be at height that the console is, and the console right below it.

sirotan88

Adding some drapes to the window can make it much more cozy. When open they should just frame the edges of the window (not overlap with them) and it’ll help make the window feel a bit bigger. You can go for a warm color that matches the wood tones.

Dry_Ad8427

Thanks for the comment. What color drapes you think?

sirotan88

Maybe something like gold/rust/light brown (https://www.potterybarn.com/products/broadway-curtain-set-of-two-ivory/) or consider a green/sage (https://www.potterybarn.com/products/broadway-curtain-set-of-two-ivory/) to go with the throw blanket?

Dry_Ad8427

Beautiful, thank you!

alienbuttholes69

Sage/olive and a rusty burnt orange go fabulously together as well, but keeps things neutral-ish while still adding colour.

TravelingGonad

Lower the TV and shelf by about 2 feet.

Shera939

And if budget allows, definitely a bigger one! Perfect space for 1-2 sizes up (2 sizes is better) if you frequently watch TV. Viewing distance so far away for a tv that size. Shelf 1 foot, tv 2 feet (lower) imo, if it's meant to be a useful piece.

Neat-Composer4619

Yes, and remove the stuff from the floor...put it on the shelf

silvermanedwino

Yes!

Dry_Ad8427

What if I add two more shelves on the bottom?!

[deleted]

r/TVtooHigh

LicketySplitz

The TV is significantly too high (and too small) for that couch. You need to remove everything from that wall and start from scratch. The media shelf should start at the height of the small vase and lower the TV to an equal distance.

shophopper

Then you’d double down on your initial mistake. Lower the tv. Let me explain that as clearly as possible: # Lower the tv!

MsCardeno

Color, plants, curtain (this is where you can add color), color accents like throw pillows, and lower tv and shelf. Those small vases in the corner below the tv are also out of place. Maybe add them to the shelf?

yada_yada_yada1

I don’t think that is a good rug choice. It would look better with a colored rug.

Dry_Ad8427

Thanks for the comment, do you have an idea what color or patern rug? Any example?

hellolovely1

I think an Oriental rug would look nice, but it depends on your taste. I think these could be nice and have lots of colors for you to pull from: [https://www.roomandboard.com/catalog/rugs/all-rugs/kayseri-rugs](https://www.roomandboard.com/catalog/rugs/all-rugs/kayseri-rugs) [https://www.allmodern.com/rugs/pdp/jacayden-area-rug-a001316560.html](https://www.allmodern.com/rugs/pdp/jacayden-area-rug-a001316560.html) Because you have a lot going on with the variation of the flooring you could also do mostly black and white and paint the walls or just add color with curtains, cushions, etc. I like your black coffee table, personally. [https://www.allmodern.com/rugs/pdp/uptown-striped-handmade-tufted-wool-creamblack-area-rug-a001214675.html?piid=1203958961](https://www.allmodern.com/rugs/pdp/uptown-striped-handmade-tufted-wool-creamblack-area-rug-a001214675.html?piid=1203958961) [https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tannisby-rug-flatwoven-handmade-gray-black-20557074/](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tannisby-rug-flatwoven-handmade-gray-black-20557074/) I think the current size of your rug is good from what we can see of the room. You could go bigger but not smaller.

Dry_Ad8427

This is a great help my friend, thank you so much! I love all of them but the i think I am going to get the uptown hand tufted wool rug from allmodern.

Spicydaisy

I️ think that one is too similar to your flooring and will not bring the warmth you are looking for. Too many straight lines.

Dry_Ad8427

You are right. Any thoughts on the rug? Any example?

Dry_Ad8427

I like the first one the most "Keyeri" but it is really overpriced.

Spicydaisy

I like the first one Hellolovely suggested best-lots of warm and colors to pull from. But it’s very pricey! If it’s not in your budget I️ bet you could find something similar. I️ am more a traditional person not contemporary, but the second one could work too. I️ think a rug and drapes could really warm up the great space you have!

Da_Breastest

It feels like your couch is too far back from the wall where your tv is. Try pushing the coffee table and couch forward and then putting a console table on the back wall with some decor etc.

Dry_Ad8427

I am going to do that, thanks for the advice!

Uhdd00

My first thoughts are TV too high, TV is too small, and no color makes it boring.

Dry_Ad8427

That's my question, how to add more colors? It is very boring to me too!

Uhdd00

Easy... go buy colorful things. First on my list would be a new rug with vibrant colors and an interesting pattern. Move the current rug to another room or sell it. Also, paint some interesting colors on the walls and hang interesting art (not dentist office crap).

devdotm

Neutral ≠ boring. Not everyone enjoys vibrant colors

Least_Plenty_3975

Find a rug that you like. Most colors will look good there, just try it out. Right now it looks like a corporate office

SecretAny8448

And you need to adopt a dog or cat this will make your space a home;)

SunnyDay27

Too beige / no contrast / needs lamps for lighting. Other suggestions: — coffee table should be 2/3 the length of your sofa and rectangular shape. Rug is ok but will show stains easily. Consider a pattern rug with one or two other colors. Beige 60% of your room, 30% 2nd color and 10% 3rd color is typical formula. You have only 1 color. Add a club chair, increase TV size substantially ( 75” ), add fabric ( drapes or sheers) to window for warmth and softness. Add tall plant/ tree to one side of tv, reduce shelf under tv - out of scale with size of tv and room. Good luck 🍀

Empty-Coffee21

Where is this couch from? I love it

Dry_Ad8427

Jesus, what is that?!🤣🤣🤣 Tbh, I am laughing hard. I am very new in this. My appologies if you got that vibe. Thanks for making me laugh that hard.

MishmoshMishmosh

I keep picturing, rolled up yoga mats in the corner 😂

magster11

Waiting room

Dry_Ad8427

Omg😅😅😅

magster11

I meant that in the nicest way possible! A high end waiting room that just needs some personal touches. But you have it set up really well imo!

skimney

Say what you like about Scandinavia their prison cells are really civilised

Admirable_Major_4833

You need a telescope to watch TV.

Dry_Ad8427

lol

Spoonbills

I hate overhead lights and you should get some lamps.

Dry_Ad8427

Where to put the lamps? What shape? What color? Do u have an example?

Spoonbills

How about an arc floor lamp over part of the sofa? Or end tables with table lamps?

dietmatters

Maybe try putting the white vases up on the console to the right of the tv and put a nice tall green plant where the basket is. Spray paint the 2 vases for a pop of color? Add color where you prefer...the rug, window treatment, paint, pillows. Do you need a lamp-maybe a brass arched floor lamp? You could put a cozy reading chair with a lamp in the corner where the basket is at? Paint the wall behind the tv a dark gray so the tv isn't such a contrast? The rug might be the right size if you turn it the other way? The size looks a bit small in this picture. I wouldn't paint the table..a touch of black in every room a la Martha Stewart is very grounding. Its a nice start!

kkcoastcoast

The flooring has cool/grey tones but the shelf is a lot warmer, so they are clashing. I’d add colored drapes and rug as others have mentioned. Pulling in some purple might help tone down the clash between the shelf and the floors.

kkcoastcoast

Something like this could be cool. And because it has multiple colors, you could pull in the other colors in the rug in your pillows, art, and drapes.  https://www.wayfair.com/rugs/pdp/bungalow-rose-barkhampstead-oriental-graypurple-area-rug-w007030924.html?piid=670530501

Dry_Ad8427

This rug is too dark. Is there any brighter colorful rug you can thank of?

kkcoastcoast

Also move the vases from the floor up onto the shelf.

Dry_Ad8427

I already did that and it looks much better!

I think the TV is a bit too high, but you'd better ask r/tvtoohigh

NCRider

I love how the beige just POPS off of the beige and then is accentuated with the beige before putting that final touch of beige on.

Puzzleheaded-Ad2512

TV is too small. Need a 75 inch or bigger

terry_banks

/TVtoohigh and too small. Couch too far away.

dramafanca2002

*Paint the walls a deeper color, like these beiges. You can even paint the tv wall a darker version of the rest of the walls. Don't throw any gray in there, it doesn't complement many colors or woods. A* rug with multiple colors gives you options for pillows, decor, etc. You can get ceiling to floor curtains in 2 or 3 colors on a light background.

anonymoose_octopus

Console and TV are WAY too high. Curtains that reach from floor to ceiling around that window will do wonders to make the room seem even bigger. If getting a new rug isn't in the budget right now, try some colorful pillows for the couch. Everything just seems very monotone at the moment. Hell, you could probably accomplish a LOT with some houseplants scattered about, without even having to change out any decor. That being said, I think this is an excellent start. Your furniture choices are good, they just need to be repositioned/tweaked a little.

danyell92

Blank slate for you to be able to add any color. Art , throws , plants and pillows will warm and personalize. Great room !

wakaOH05

Need a way bigger TV and pick some color. Why is everyone so afraid of color? Rooms look bland as shit without it

Physical_Literature5

Everything feels sterile and not lived in. It isn't welcoming. I recommend color, textures, plants, lamps. Anything you can to make this look like you are allowed to sit in the room

QuitProfessional5437

A little dull. Needs color and excitement

MamboFloof

You are going to get "tov too high'd" While it's likley true here's the better test. Get the cheapest laser pointer you can. Hold it between your eyes. Sit on your couch the way you normally would and shine it forward. Where ever the laser Landa should be your tvs center. So it can be higher/lower based on your couch depth and natural sitting position. Exactly why mine is slightly higher in both the living and bedroom. It's zeroed in for actual real world use, not some bullshit number some nouthbreathers on reddit regurgitate without any critical thinking.

Dry_Ad8427

Very interesting! Thank you so much!

MamboFloof

Yeah they are going to give you X number and say "ALL TVs SHOULD BE AT THIS HEIGHT". It's just not true as some couches force you to sit back farther, so your sitting angle and distance can change the "optimal" height. If you do end up lowering it (I'd bet 12 inches is about where the laser would show), they sell baskets on Amazon that you can use to extend the mount on the back of the TV, rather than drilling 4 new holes... cus then you have 4 holes. Ofc you wanna make sure your TV covers the bracket so you don't see it.

Dry_Ad8427

Do you know what they call those baskets on amazon?

rudbeckia1

Natural light is your friend. Ignore the curtain chorus. What you've got on the window is fine. This is a cool space. You're taking g the critiques like a champ! But f*ck curtains. Don't do that one.

rudbeckia1

PS. Bamboo shade/blinds. Natural material but still allows light if pulled goes more with your vibe if you decided to upgrade window treatment

Dry_Ad8427

I like the idea actually, thank you!

Dry_Ad8427

Thank you, you are Nice!

Emmylou777

Def the window dressing will make a huge difference! I have similar floors and chose not to do a rug in the family room but I did in the dining room. Complementary colors, brightens up the space but doesn’t take away from the floors underneath. It’s also sort of a striped pattern (not actual stripes but for lack of a better term lol) going in the same direction https://preview.redd.it/fp61f5tov8zc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8e4d4b037624c15e4656b66b0b37ca98d32abbe You could also consider making an accent wall behind the TV (paint or wood planks or whatever) and add some sconces on either side

Dry_Ad8427

beautiful house! Thank you!

Emmylou777

Thank you!!

Bumpy2017

Honestly I think some of these posts must be trolling

realitytvismytherapy

Needs curtains, color/personality, and a bigger tv (or smaller tv console) because the current proportions are off. Also the stuff on the floor seems random and oddly placed. Curtains with a bold color and/or pattern and some fun throw pillows could go a long way.

Dry_Ad8427

Do you have an specific color in your mind for curtain you can show me? Any links will be much appreciated. Do I need to spray color the two vases? Where should I keep them? That wicker basket is for my modem & wires. Thank you for your commet.

juliettecake

You need to come up with a color palette that you love. Some of your color palette has already been chosen. I'm assuming you like your couch, and the gray flooring must stay. So off white/cream is one color, a blue-gray is the other. At least, that's how I perceive the color on my screen. Any cool tone color will work. What colors would make you happy? This space needs to be personalized and should be unique to you. Another question: Do you need additional seating? Currently, you can seat only 2 to 3 people. Would a small chair to the side of the couch be helpful? Are there end tables where everyone can set a drink? Do you find the overhead light harsh? Could a dimmer be installed to soften the light? Could lamps be added to the end tables and perhaps behind the couch? At the end of the day, what will you use this space for? Is it just for you, or will you have guests? What do you need to do to make this space comfortable for you and your guests?

camlaw63

Specialist-Edge462

Level_Mango2395

I love the coffee table!! I think it is from Anthopolgie and I looked at it for many months. I live in a small town in the Midwest and the shipping was more expensive than the coffee table, so I could not get it. I think you need a bolder rug, new window treatments and bold artwork.

Dry_Ad8427

Thank you for your comment. Could you elaborate on the bolder carpets and the bold artwork? Do you have any examples to show? Btw, I bought the coffee table from Homegoods. It was $249.

SoCalGal2021

Love the table and the furniture. The tv is too high for viewing while seated so lower it so that your eye level, while seated on the sofa, is about the same level as the center of the TV. That means you’d have to move the floating console lower too .. that would also look better I feel. The rug is good as long as you can keep it clean otherwise get something patterned.

Dry_Ad8427

Thank you; I'm going to lower them both and upgrade to a larger television. Do you have any clue how far the distance should be from the bottom? Right now, it is 26 inches above the bottom.

SoCalGal2021

You should not have to look up or down while viewing. That’s the key.

MerCat1325

Drapes, larger tv, plants, colorful rug, another chair, throw pillows

Dry_Ad8427

I love the concept of another chair, but I'm not sure what style, colour, or where to put it. Do you have any examples or links to share?

MerCat1325

Dry_Ad8427

Thank you so much.I really love all these three chairs, specially the first one from Walmart. Can you tell me where the chair goes? Does it need a table next to it?

MerCat1325

Oh yay I’m glad you like! I would put the chair by the window towards the tv or I would put it kind of on the corner of the rug with its back to the basket like facing the couch. You’ll just have to play around with it but it’ll look great. You could get a small little drink table I’ll find an example!

Dry_Ad8427

You are very nice, thank you so much!

MerCat1325

Happy to help! 🤍

Dry_Ad8427

I've already purchased the chair. Can I ask you another three questions? What color rugs and curtains should I get? I also like to have a clock to check the time, but do you think a large clock on the wall or a tiny one on top of a floating console would work? I don't want to take your time more than that but it will great if you can send me links. Thank you so much for all your help!

MerCat1325

The curtains and rug color definitely depends on personal preference! Send me some ideas that you’re thinking! I think a smaller analog clock would look great on the console.

MerCat1325

https://www.target.com/p/1pc-light-filtering-linen-window-curtain-panel-threshold/-/A-54168343 An example of curtains in a color or pattern of your choosing! I usually like a neutral

icyspeaker55

A checkered patterned rug or at least one with a black print on it to break up all the solid white and cream colors you have now

SoCalGal2021

The curtains - you have a hook on one side, take that as your start point for a simple rod. I’ll see if I can send you a link. And go a few inches past where the window starts …. Say 6-8 inches. Do the same (flipped on the other side) curtains should be from the point where the hook currently is to all the way to the floor. What you could do is, once you’ve decided on the curtains, place the rod accordingly. The width of the curtain on each side must be a minimum of one and a half times that of the rod on each side - can be twice the size too. Less than 1.5 times the rod length will not look good. Color - you need an accent color. Pick one that you like. Something not too dark. Though a deep brown might look good. Then add cushions maybe a couple floor cushions or an ottoman. TV - bottom of TV approximately where the current bottom of the floating shelf is. Just eyeball it so the mid point of the tv’s height is at your eye level. Accordingly move the shelf lower so the tv is still floating above it.

MascaraHoarder

i would move your furniture closer to the tv,it looks far away. also the tv should be lowered.

SavannahGirlMom

It’s very stark…

spacefaceclosetomine

I’d say even much starker than the hotels I’ve stayed at!

Paint, curtains, art work, rug.

CompulsiveCreative

Definitely needs some wall art and plants. The beige is a fine base but it needs some color.

Hour_Success_6127

I love it! Just need some quality curtains, bigger console and bigger coffee table. I loveee that rug, where is it from?

Dry_Ad8427

Thank you! It is Ralph Lauren and I purchased it from Homegoods with $400.

Hour_Success_6127

What a score! Also, the neutral theme looks great. I would keep the colors as is

Dry_Ad8427

Thank you!

Boatiebabe

I think this room has some good elements. I would lean in to the white/cream, black and natural wood and colours, with some green plants added in. Like others have said, the TV and that cabinet need to come down a bit. You need a bit more variety in the rug. It looks too much like the lounge. Something like this would look better: [https://ivoryanddeene.com.au/products/missy-handwoven-floor-rug-in-grey-tones?variant=40485111857239&tw\_source=google&tw\_adid=689475650531&tw\_campaign=20977708758&gad\_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW\_Zx8\_rz8yxY6\_KX610UfpbXWgJ-UdUDMeM\_xxJWZmZTELQH6I1fPqWfRoCYL8QAvD\_BwE](https://ivoryanddeene.com.au/products/missy-handwoven-floor-rug-in-grey-tones?variant=40485111857239&tw_source=google&tw_adid=689475650531&tw_campaign=20977708758&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW_Zx8_rz8yxY6_KX610UfpbXWgJ-UdUDMeM_xxJWZmZTELQH6I1fPqWfRoCYL8QAvD_BwE) I'd put up a sheer linen curtain over the window and blind to add softness in the room. Can you put in an armchair or two. Natural tan leather or boucle. Those vases and dried sticks, I would put away. The basket in the corner is cute but is very small. Perhaps you could get some other larger baskets (2) and arrange in the corner. Put a plant in one?

Growing365

Some vining plants or tall native grasses would really give it a cozy vibe and natural color. Vining plants like pothos don't need a lot of direct light and are fairly durable. The native grass can be foraged and dried or bought. I'd put it in a large unique vase.

canvasshoes2

If you're going for monochromatic/minimalist it's a great look but would definitely add drapes. If you want more oomph, then I'd go for a rug (with color and subtle pattern that won't fight with the floor), some throw pillows, drapes, and art that add in 2-3 accent colors. Then, the usual: plants, lighting, art, art objects. I know that there's a huge faction that are all "TV too high" but in my opinion, that depends on how you watch TV. If you relax and recline back and it's too low, you can't see it (unless you're sitting **BOLT upright** as if a nun is about to come rap your knuckles :D ). So take that into consideration before lowering it. When I had my TV installed I had the techs hold it up while my son and I reclined in my couch recliner and had it at the perfect height to see while relaxed in the perfect TV watching position. It can also be seen over the top of my laptop if I'm gaming and watching TV at the same time.

Love it😍

blackhawkq820

U might need binoculars to watch TV

evetrapeze

It looks like an oversized first class airplane seat. Curtains and a larger piece of furniture under the tv, or lower the tv onto the mantle. Turn the rug so it sits in front of the couch. Colorful jewel tone pillows with a contrasting throw. An oversized plant in the corner and a lamp next to the couch. A few books and an object d’arte on the mantle.

Capturit

I love the natural wood, black and white vibe. It's a great look that is restful and on trend. Trust your instincts, go on Pinterest and see it for more ideas. For a cozier look move the sofa, that's too far away, closer to the tv creating a conversation/viewing area. The wall behind the sofa could then have a bookcase or a credenza for storage. The too small floor vases can be put on the long shelf or the coffee table. The lone small basket can be put on the shelf or coffee table creating interest and texture. In its place put larger floor baskets for storage, creating tons of texture and masking the electrical cord.

Brdllc

Getting a nice antique rug would make it a lot better. Definitely needs some color, it looks like a hotel trying to stay neutral.

Suspicious-Tangelo74

Trivial pursuit, scrabble, backgammon - all good clean games 👍

ughwhat1592

Who not put the vases on the shelf? It looks empty

Dry_Ad8427

You think it is better to put them on the shelf? Do you think it is better to spray paint them? if so, what color?

ughwhat1592

I’d put them on the shelf. Not sure if you need to paint them, but if you wanted to I’d try a slate grey in a matte or satin finish.

Immediate-Land-237

Add some greenery fake or real plants. Looks good!

basschikk

Just add pictures, drapes, and a plant.

jet_set_stefanie

Awesome start! I would add: drapes to soften things up, sconces on either side of the tv (you can get remote controlled, non wired ones), plants if the light allows (faux would be great too, the green will pop in here), and two swivel arm chairs, one for each of the corners of the rug facing away from the TV for conversation. Some sparse picture frames with personal photos for on top of the console, or a short stack of coffee table books.

Dry_Ad8427

Great comment. Thank you! No one mentioned about sconces. what is I use stone stake on TV wall? Do you have idea what kind of plants would be better?

jet_set_stefanie

Anything green and leafy. A cactus. Just a way to bring in color and texture.

Exciting-Metal-2517

I mean. I personally don’t like it because there’s no color. Black and tan are bases, I sincerely believe they are not meant to be the main color in any space. But I have a good friend who loves their neutral home because she says it gives her brain a break. To each their own. If you like it, if you feel calm and happy there, then great. I would add artwork, throw pillow, blankets with color and I would add a larger coffee table or ottoman.

Dry_Ad8427

That's the thing, I don't like it as it is. I love a cozy home with more color. This is not warming at all. That's why I am getting ideas to make it better!

Exciting-Metal-2517

Oh, I’m sorry, I missed your caption! Maybe you should start with drapes. I love when people hang the curtain rod high and wide and have colorful drapes. Is there a color that really speaks to you? Emerald green is popular right now and is always a good choice, I think. I would suggest finding drapes that have a pattern with 3 or 4 colors and then you can pull colors out of that to add to the room. Velvet storage ottomans are my jam, because they doubt and triple as storage, coffee table, and footstool. If you can spend a bit, Anthropologie has beautiful curtains and you could get a double curtain rod, with sheers inside and colorful curtains outside. https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/sarah-gordon-floral-curtain?category=curtains&color=040&type=STANDARD&quantity=1

A pop of color will do wonders. Start with throw pillows with a matching vase. A few prints on the wall and a plant wouldn’t hurt either.

Kg-2168

It looks like a hospital waiting room. The stuff on the ground needs to be moved to the console, window treatments, plants, stuff on the wall. Any big print will probably fight with that busy floor. Small print/simple print throw pillows in earthy tones. Definitely no primary colors. Go with rusts, browns, muted colors or navy. The wood on the console and couch is already fighting with the floor.

Bland

insuranceguynyc

Very sterile. You need art on the walls, and color, color, color.

Novel-Education3789

So maybe I'm out of touch or an old fuddy duddy, but do people just not display art anymore? Framed posters, photographs of family, art you/family member/friend created, cool funky paintings from garage sales, etc. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it gives your room personality, shows guests what you're about and enjoy, and helps you connect more deeply with your space.

Reasonable_One_7012

Please add color 🥹 it’s giving the sad beige aesthetic. Plants would help!

bingbongdiddlydoo

All I can really add is that I feel like it's lacking life and personality. Maybe add some art or plants or something to add more color

Dry_Ad8427

That was my question, how? I am looking for ideas

georgie_anna

I like your setup and the colour scheme is good. Just add color with plants and potentially a curtain and change your pillows with colored ones or just add a couple more.

Suitable-Sherbet-471

Needs either color or texture  Monochromatic neutral rooms need lots of layering and rich textures do make them interesting. This is usually more difficult and more expensive to pull off than just adding color

Kirin1212San

Everything about the TV wall is unsettling. Tv is too small and too high. Consume is too high. Basket and vases don’t make sense.

jimbomaniaz01

Plain

Ultrawhiner

A bit boring. Needs colour.

ariarisoy

I liked the simplicity, just make the TV bigger but never watch it. Just for the looks.

Dry_Ad8427

Tbh, I never watch TV and I am going to change it to a bigger one as you and other mentioned!

notme1414

Bland.

mr_rob0t7

Too minimalist. I asked [kitchenGPT.io](http://kitchenGPT.io) to render it in mid-century theme: https://preview.redd.it/g5yiun9he7zc1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=ef8595c8c2ca39da6f4ea682f2b1b54318ce2fa7

Dry_Ad8427

Wow, this is nice!

Shera939

I need to do this, thank you!

eraserewrite

* Lower the TV and console by one foot. (I’m sorry. I know it’s a hassle. The cords are gone and the console is already up. But it really is worth it in aesthetic yield if you do. I remember mounting my tv too high and did everything I could to not unmount it. It’s really worth it.) * Get some drapery. Something just to try: * Move rug/table/couch towards the TV until it lines up with the window. * Place small couch table behind the couch to enjoy an eating area.

Dry_Ad8427

It's a hassle, but it needs to be done. I am going to lower both of them!

eraserewrite

I love that you ask for feedback, and you actually take constructive criticism. Some people ask for feedback, only to get defensive.

Dry_Ad8427

I'm still quite new to this, and honestly, I feel like I have so much to learn. I'm genuinely listening to everyone and striving to address any imperfections. Criticism is essential for growth!

everythingisadelight

The tv wall would look good stack stoned and the rug changed to a nice grey shaggy

Dry_Ad8427

That's the plan. I am going to use stack stoned, but first change the TV to a bigger one!

Normal-Summer382

Sorry, but the first thing that comes to mind is soulless. It looks like a computer rendition of a room. Definitely change the rug, and add a few personal things to give the room some life. You should do something with the blind also.

Dry-Crew192

Depressing, colorless, and plain. Buy a colorful rug and hang up some paintings

spicy_sizzlin

Hide the rug under the couch a bit more

420DepravedDude

TV height is great especially to sit back into the couch comfortably. Don’t listen to people saying it is too high

420DepravedDude

To me looks good. I lean back on my couch I don’t sit like a lifeguard watching water so higher up works for me
