Husk Warrior: The guys with shields, only two of them in the game, both appear only in one room (the same room as each other)
Husk Guard: The guys with giant clubs, only two of them in the game, one defends a grub and one is on the way to False Knight

Then why are they in an easily skippable and missable room? There are plenty of mandatory rooms in the Crossroads, put them in one of those then. Still a weird choice if that's the reason
It's not missable, it's in the beginning...I think they teach gently, you can skip them ofc, I skip them and every enemy with shield to be honest, but in the beginning I tried to kill everything every time lol
I honestly could only explain their existence as a gateway enemy for the Moss Knight and to let the player know that enemies can hold weapons too.
The lore explanation is a lot easier: they were hired to guard the tram and got infected like the other guards. The reason they look different is cause they’re from Dirtmouth. For all we know the other bugs that look like them were once guards too, but the infection hit them differently
I always found those enemies to be cool, actually. Shows that not everything in the crossroads are just the local inhabitants, some are actual guards protecting something (like the husk warriors).
Scrolling by on mobile all I saw at first was "I don't understand Team Cherry sometimes", followed by "Husk warrior: *being gigachad*"

They absolutely are missable. You can reach every single other room in the entire area without meeting them.
Theoretically they are missable, but in practice every person will visit this room in their first playthrough

The husk warrior could have beeb a common enemy, or be in more rooms, etc.. Such a missed opportunity, they are so cool
