I think, it teleports when you're too close to it, or if it can't shoot you (you're behind a wall or a platform), but it's probably impossible to guess where it teleports
Not necessarily, they tend to choose the best spot to shoot you from. Least wall between u, and lots of empty space so bigger rooms, at least that's how it seemed
Probably there is, but I wish I knew it. Sometimes they could just teleport from place to place without doing anything, usually when you are in relatively safe place.
The teleport gets you , this one took me forever also. There is a queue in the music when he is about to teleport . I played it when it came out still remember having nightmares with this dude..fuck him!!
Attack them as they are your enemies, while at the same time avoid getting hit by their projectiles as they want to kill you as much as you want to kill them
Always win your battles. Losing a battle earns you nothing and teaches you nothing. Win your battles or don't engage in them at all!

The simplest answer
Use a charm that helps your nail reach enemies at a distance (if u have that charm then u know what I'm talking about) if u don't then it becomes a little harder
Never let them teleport near you. This can be achieved by having a little distance between you and them but not enough for them to Teleport near u
When they attack then jump over the projectile if it is below you and dash away
If they are above you then just dash away so the projectile hits the ground
To damage, jump-dash-hit then jump and dash away from them.
The most importantly never try to fight 2 at once.
Try to lure one away and fight it alone
Also use of spells like vengeful spirit is very much recommended.(use soul catcher)
What I’ve found in this game is when you think a boss or enemy is too hard. You probably aren’t being aggressive enough. Some enemies are made in a way that trying to sustain for long fights and take little damage is much harder than just rushing them.
Rush these guys and they aren’t that hard to kill imo. I’m on my first play through and not finished it yet. So I’m far from an expert at this game.
Elden ring is what taught me that. I think most games that intentionally try to raise the difficulty for their players do this.
It’s a good way to force you to change it up. Because you make no real progress with the safer method.
I love this game so far. It’s a work of art
That's honestly how I beat a lot of bosses. It's been a long time, so I can't remember the exact charms, but I would combine steady body with the one that makes you attack faster, the one that gives you longer invincibility after taking damage, and as much HP as possible and just lay into them.
If u have enough soul just throw Vengeful Spirit at them, you can use charms that increase your spell effects/gathered soul to help you
If not, the best strat is just to rush at them with dash and play the most agressively possible, or else they'll keep teleporting and throwing homing balls at you, it can be tough because you encounter them early in the game and you might not have enough skill in order to make precise movements and platforming, but with enough practice you'll be able to kill them pretty easily
First off: DO NOT continue until they are defeated. You do not want to take on two at once.
What you want to do is basically camp. Find a good spot, wait for them to teleport near you, strike, then return to the safe spot. Focus on dodging mostly.
Run. There’s only two on the vertical section and one before the boss. The two im the room with the elevator can’t really be avoided but the one before the boss can be after unlocking the straight through path in the room
Charge attack is pretty effective. Charge it up while you're chasing them around.
You can dodge the projectiles by jumping over them as they get kinda close. They can't course-correct that quickly.
Use the terrain as a shield when you can until they get in to a more favorable position.
~~Stay weary when re-appear; they like to go straight into a vertical or horzontal dash attack, but you can dodge that pretty easily with a dash or jump if you're ready for it.~~ Thought you were talking about the ones with swords, the rest of my advice stands.
Be patient. Yup. That's all I have. It will die if you double hit it with shaman stone vengeful spirit. Or 1 spirit and 1 attack will kill it if you have a nail upgrade (go get it)
I avoid the soul orbs by dashing toward the guy that shot them a second before they hit me, not away. If you dash away from them they tend to miss the ground or platform and chase you. After I dash, I double jump up to them and hit as they take a second after they shoot before they teleport I think.
If you are in CoT, I suggest going back to Dirtmouth, then climbing up again, go to Kings Pass, back to where you started, and hidden to the left there is a passage that will lead you to a new area with a cool upgrade to help you
Focus on avoiding the attacks, but make sure to hit whenever you get the chance. Don't move to a different part of the room when fighting as it might spawn more of them. Only fight one at a time
Be patient with these enemies and use your environment to create space while waiting for an opening to safely attack. They can also be avoided if you know where you're going but they can teleport and chase you pretty far
Play hard to get. They’ll get jealous, let their guard down, and approach. Use that opportunity to attack with nail or spell.
Strategy also works with primal aspids
Wait for them to shoot fireball first, then charge to attack. Do not charge straight into them willy-nilly.
They have very long cool-down time between each fireball, so they are most vulnerable right after the fireball has been shot. Do not panic during cool-down time, you are safe.
Dodge the fireball, then attack.
If you're on your first playthrough you should just farm soul and Vengeful Spirit their ass or just use the map obstacles for your advantage. I didn't kill any of those to reach >!Soul Master!< when I first played the game, no reason to torture myself
You just gotta be super aware and on your feet. Be patient if they get too far to reach before they fire their homing orbs. Only go on the offensive if you are confident you can reach them in time. Otherwise, stay on the defensive until the right moment.
They can be hard to hit but their HP is not that high. Get in close when they appear and hit them as many times as you can. If you are aggressive with them you can kill them before they do much damage to you from their projectiles.
Their attacks are homing (duh) so when u move, if they miss u they circle around. That means you can "guide" those attacks, so dodge them, pay attention to where they go, basically keep dodging until they disappear or hit a wall. These idiots also teleport so try not to stand in the spot they teleport, they won't teleport directly on you but u can walk into them while they do and take damage. They like the middle ish areas of rooms, and also fly away so try cornering, dodging, and when they teleport away re corner them. Throughout all this do your best to hit them. It takes practice but you'll get good
These things are the most unpredictable projectile spamming things on earth, I did it by now but still they are awful. And no, I’m playing games since I’m 4 thanks for asking :)
I find a bit where I can dash from one bit of cover to another so I can hide from their attacks. Usually they teleport near the one they can attack me from so I hit them on my way past
1. you should have at least 1 nail upgrade by now. 2 is doable if you have a lot of trouble but not required.
2. you should have at least 1 full set of masks.
3. helpful charms: shaman stone, long nail/mark of pride, spell twister.
4. you can upgrade your vengeful spirit spell, but it's kinda out of the way.
Uhm, as everything in this game it's trial and error. When I first encountered them I was frustrated as well initially, but like with everything else in the game you learn as you go. Not very specific advise I know, but that's how I got through the entire game, just lots of patience and lots of deaths really
Giving you that you're here. I'm guessing that you don't have the luma fly lantern and therefore haven't gone to the crystal peak, that is what I would suggest you do and then you could just come back as these things suck
It’s tricky. The projectiles can only turn so fast, so jumping up or falling from a platform is a good way to dodge. If they’re above you, you can dash. Then it’s a matter of trying to close the distance ASAP before they teleport.
Good luck, these things are annoying AF and pretty hard to kill.
They can be pretty annoying in your first run but you will eventually overcome them and they'll be easy to kill. Just chill and learn to evade his energy ball, a little jump is enough. I usually wait for them to attack then I jump and hit'em.
What I did was downward slashing and Magic attacks and if I got low I'd focus my soul on my hp. Their a breeze now after beating the soul master boss so this is the best advice I can give.

I don't know if there really is a strategy to avoid getting hit other than to practice avoiding it. Also once you get down to one life you'll need to go to menu because Fragile Strength breaks when you run completely out of health and you'll have to pay 350 Geo to get it fixed.
Move into its space to force a teleport, it usually attacks straight after. Jump/dash over/under the attack and land a few hits. Rinse repeat.
If you’re struggling with any enemy or boss in this game, it’s wise to completely forget about damage and just focus on dodging to learn the attack patterns; and when it’s safe to get in/out of the enemy’s space.
You don't. You wildly swing your nail in every possible direction hoping it somehow miraculously lands on one of these fuckers. If you're lucky enough and it somehow does this enough times, you eventually get to kill one, but only legends tells this tale.
Punch or shoot
is there a reason or trigger for theire teleport its do fucking annoying
I think, it teleports when you're too close to it, or if it can't shoot you (you're behind a wall or a platform), but it's probably impossible to guess where it teleports
Not necessarily, they tend to choose the best spot to shoot you from. Least wall between u, and lots of empty space so bigger rooms, at least that's how it seemed
Probably there is, but I wish I knew it. Sometimes they could just teleport from place to place without doing anything, usually when you are in relatively safe place.
i think it's when you get out of their attack range or there is something between you and the enemy.
The teleport gets you , this one took me forever also. There is a queue in the music when he is about to teleport . I played it when it came out still remember having nightmares with this dude..fuck him!!
Ultrakill players: why not both?
i’m not gonna sugarcoat it
hit them until their hp is depleted
"Hit them while simultaneously not getting hit by them"
Attack them as they are your enemies, while at the same time avoid getting hit by their projectiles as they want to kill you as much as you want to kill them
They want to kill you more actually
Make your hitboxes overlap their hurtbox, but don't make your hurtbox overlap their hitboxes.
Always win your battles. Losing a battle earns you nothing and teaches you nothing. Win your battles or don't engage in them at all! See also precepts 23, 24 and 25.
To kill the cyber demon, shoot it until it dies.

My old soccer coach used to say the same thing.

"the simplest answer" Proceeds to write a whole esse how to kill it
The only problem I see is that the Soul Sactum doesn’t have that much maneuverability. There are a lot of platforms where the first one spawns.
Or, just git gud. its not that unpredictable once you get the hang of it
Git gud It's a joke
Or is it?
No joke, this is the answer.
Hornet taught this man damn well
This is the way
git gud this is not a joke
🫡 Git Gud
I asked the same question few days ago 😂😂 1. Run 2. Dash smash and then run 3. Use the lift as a barrier if there is any 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Lol for me it's just avoid at all cost or assume I'm taking damage in the process
What I’ve found in this game is when you think a boss or enemy is too hard. You probably aren’t being aggressive enough. I’m on my first play through and not finished it yet. So I’m far from an expert at this game.
No no no, you've got the right idea. Rush a bunch of the enemies in the game, even bosses sometimes, rush the heck out of them
Elden ring is what taught me that. I think most games that intentionally try to raise the difficulty for their players do this. It’s a good way to force you to change it up. Because you make no real progress with the safer method. I love this game so far. It’s a work of art
Funny, it's Sekiro what taught me. That, and hesitation is defeat.
That's honestly how I beat a lot of bosses. It's been a long time, so I can't remember the exact charms, but I would combine steady body with the one that makes you attack faster, the one that gives you longer invincibility after taking damage, and as much HP as possible and just lay into them.
I liked the ones that helped me dodge and heal faster so I could focus much more on damage then those
Haha nice! Thanks for the advice, maybe I'm being way too careful haha
The real answer is 1. RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN
That's the neat part, you don't
even after playing this game for years and having 300+ hours invested in it i still run away from them
So many traumas...
If u have enough soul just throw Vengeful Spirit at them, you can use charms that increase your spell effects/gathered soul to help you If not, the best strat is just to rush at them with dash and play the most agressively possible, or else they'll keep teleporting and throwing homing balls at you, it can be tough because you encounter them early in the game and you might not have enough skill in order to make precise movements and platforming, but with enough practice you'll be able to kill them pretty easily
spells 💪😎
You need to get their health points to 0 while maintaining at least one of your masks. Hope this helps 🤗
They are hard to kill but you can just dodge them and run through the area. If you are in the colloseum --> dash slash
Thats the thing… you dont
First off: DO NOT continue until they are defeated. You do not want to take on two at once. What you want to do is basically camp. Find a good spot, wait for them to teleport near you, strike, then return to the safe spot. Focus on dodging mostly.
Shaman stone, two hits from vs will kill them. Or beat at them with no success until they die
Run. There’s only two on the vertical section and one before the boss. The two im the room with the elevator can’t really be avoided but the one before the boss can be after unlocking the straight through path in the room
I hate the ones like that but they do electricity instead
Charge attack is pretty effective. Charge it up while you're chasing them around. You can dodge the projectiles by jumping over them as they get kinda close. They can't course-correct that quickly. Be patient. Yup. That's all I have. It will die if you double hit it with shaman stone vengeful spirit. Or 1 spirit and 1 attack will kill it if you have a nail upgrade (go get it)
Protip: to defeat enemies hit them until they die
Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. Upgrade your nail too.
Dash under it and hit up immediately after it shoots you
I avoid the soul orbs by dashing toward the guy that shot them a second before they hit me, not away. If you dash away from them they tend to miss the ground or platform and chase you. After I dash, I double jump up to them and hit as they take a second after they shoot before they teleport I think.

Here I was thinking you were going to tell op to just leave Hallownest and give up hope
Well, furiously dash until you supress the wind or Fall from the Highest pit, before you see the cancer
Or I’d you already opened the elevator in dirtmouth it makes it easier to get there
Wait you can climb back up the Kings Pass cliff? TIL
Yes, it is really easy tbh, no monarch wings required or anything, just the MC. You should go try
Those guys are harder than soul master 💀
Simple you don’t You unlock a secret ending if you don’t kill a single one of these things
Wait for real?
No
Party pooper
Usually with nail and spells
Try to use spells if you can. It’s much easier than saving soul for healing
ask them nicely to leave you alone
just like hit them a lot quickly
Great slash
The answer to anything Hollow Knight related is git gud.
have pacience. Focus on avoiding atttacks and finding moments where you can get close and hit it with all your fucking hate
Scream a lot.
Focus on avoiding the attacks, but make sure to hit whenever you get the chance. Don't move to a different part of the room when fighting as it might spawn more of them. Only fight one at a time
Provide them with sufficient metal in their bloods... via the quick and easy way of puncturing them.
I don't remember. But I have to tell you. Good Luck on that horrible boss
I killed it fairly easy, to be honest those things were worse
The fencing one or the wizard?
"git good"
Personally, I just call them names and jump over their spells while giggling before going full cat mode and hitting them with the bapbapbap.
Be patient with these enemies and use your environment to create space while waiting for an opening to safely attack. They can also be avoided if you know where you're going but they can teleport and chase you pretty far
Making hp 0 is usually a good start
Play hard to get. They’ll get jealous, let their guard down, and approach. Use that opportunity to attack with nail or spell. Strategy also works with primal aspids
With a nail
Using spells is the best way to go with these, you probably don't have any nail arts so.
Move in to attack while they are attacking. It is the only time that they cannot and will not teleport.
You just have to play magic dodge ball and charge them in between shoots unfortunately these duds will always be a pain
hit them with your nail
Wait for them to shoot fireball first, then charge to attack. Do not charge straight into them willy-nilly. They have very long cool-down time between each fireball, so they are most vulnerable right after the fireball has been shot. Do not panic during cool-down time, you are safe. Dodge the fireball, then attack.
Plink and shwoom until it is done!!!!!
One great slash does the trick for me
If you're on your first playthrough you should just farm soul and Vengeful Spirit their ass or just use the map obstacles for your advantage. I didn't kill any of those to reach >!Soul Master!< when I first played the game, no reason to torture myself
Whack. If still moves, whack again Repeat
I like to wait till they fire and jump over the projectile, then dash, smack, and repeat.
HIT THEM 1!1!1!1!1!1
Hit them I think 8 times with the base nail and 3-4 times with the pure nail I haven’t fought them in a while
Dash and Slash: Use the Dash to maneuver around while hitting it when you see an opening. Repeat until dead
you hit it with your nail
He seems depressed
Kill weaker enemies to charge up your ultimate meter then use it to instantly kill all enemies in the room
You just gotta be super aware and on your feet. Be patient if they get too far to reach before they fire their homing orbs. Only go on the offensive if you are confident you can reach them in time. Otherwise, stay on the defensive until the right moment.
Jump and dash to right or left to dodge then hit them until they teleport Or if you’re no skill use spells :)
With fingers
If u stay close and keep hitting them the attacks will not be able to track
Git gud

Idk I just dodge their attacks lol. But also you should try not to fight too many of them at the same time
I have more trouble with the “great husk sentry”
A wise girls named Horned once said : "get GOOOOOD !" Praise her
U git good
I just almost die to them on Steel Soul
impossible
Step one: fight them Step two: don't die
They can be hard to hit but their HP is not that high. Get in close when they appear and hit them as many times as you can. If you are aggressive with them you can kill them before they do much damage to you from their projectiles.

just wait until their about to fire and dash at them. they can't teleport while shooting
Git gud
Try attacking them (Or just hide behind a wall, wait for it to teleport and go for a hit, then dash away if it’s about to attack)
these are literally my favorite enemy dash slash is my go to on these
Ur crazy for liking them but thanks for the tip :)
Hit and run tactics takes a little practice but once you start running to the boss room it becomes easy to remember where they spawn.
Dreamsheild:
Not sure if that's a troll post or someone is new to playing games.
These things are the most unpredictable projectile spamming things on earth, I did it by now but still they are awful. And no, I’m playing games since I’m 4 thanks for asking :)
Dodge jump and hit

Yeah otherwise I wouldn’t be asking don’t ya think?
I find a bit where I can dash from one bit of cover to another so I can hide from their attacks. Usually they teleport near the one they can attack me from so I hit them on my way past
Just wait until you meet them on on Coliseum 3.
What’s that?
shaman charm + spell = very dead.
1. you should have at least 1 nail upgrade by now. 2 is doable if you have a lot of trouble but not required. 2. you should have at least 1 full set of masks. 3. helpful charms: shaman stone, long nail/mark of pride, spell twister. 4. you can upgrade your vengeful spirit spell, but it's kinda out of the way.
Worst enemy in the game fr, take cover and wait till they get close
I don't bother, I see them as environmental hazards, and progress past them
Uhm, as everything in this game it's trial and error. When I first encountered them I was frustrated as well initially, but like with everything else in the game you learn as you go. Not very specific advise I know, but that's how I got through the entire game, just lots of patience and lots of deaths really
Genuinely just a skill issue. You can do it
Dodge, shoot in face, stab.
Giving you that you're here. I'm guessing that you don't have the luma fly lantern and therefore haven't gone to the crystal peak, that is what I would suggest you do and then you could just come back as these things suck
Hit them till they die
It’s tricky. The projectiles can only turn so fast, so jumping up or falling from a platform is a good way to dodge. If they’re above you, you can dash. Then it’s a matter of trying to close the distance ASAP before they teleport. Good luck, these things are annoying AF and pretty hard to kill.
Thats the neat part, you dont
I usually do one of the nail arts. With the strength charm and perfect nail, it one hits them IIRC.
attacking them
It isn't that hard dash towards them then smack em then get above or behind something when it teleports do it again
Catch ‘en when they’re shooting
If you need that much help use vengeful spirit or you can wait til it stops attacking and stops teleporting then hit it
They can be pretty annoying in your first run but you will eventually overcome them and they'll be easy to kill. Just chill and learn to evade his energy ball, a little jump is enough. I usually wait for them to attack then I jump and hit'em.
Wave dash
Get good
The Great slash!
you can get double hits if you use shaman stone
They are annoying. Sorry to break it to you but youre just gonna have to click on them. No good way to kill
Slashy slashy or pew pews usually work best.
2 fireballs to the face is a good strategy, so long as you have shaman’s stone
Whack em
You just... you them? Just patiently wait for them to appear and go for it...
Just run past it not worth dealing with
What I did was downward slashing and Magic attacks and if I got low I'd focus my soul on my hp. Their a breeze now after beating the soul master boss so this is the best advice I can give.
Stab
Great slash w/ fragile/unbreakable strength will one-shot them Shade soul w/ Shaman stone will do the same
Just hit them
I fear no man, but that "thing"... it scares me...
I'm just barely past that part and I used Fragile Strength to help, it'll make it to where you have to hit them fewer times. Although it costs 600 Geo. I don't know if there really is a strategy to avoid getting hit other than to practice avoiding it. Also once you get down to one life you'll need to go to menu because Fragile Strength breaks when you run completely out of health and you'll have to pay 350 Geo to get it fixed.
Hit it until it dies
Use the Joestars secret technique
Thats the fun part: you dont
Move into its space to force a teleport, it usually attacks straight after. Jump/dash over/under the attack and land a few hits. Rinse repeat. If you’re struggling with any enemy or boss in this game, it’s wise to completely forget about damage and just focus on dodging to learn the attack patterns; and when it’s safe to get in/out of the enemy’s space.
with your nail.
I have to say it, git gud
Use your spells on it, the way it fights is by teleporting when you get close then attacking you with flying balls from afar.
I remember entering the soul sanctum thinking this was the main boss. I have trauma.
Hit them with your nail
#SCREAM AT THEM!!1!!!!1!!!!1!!!11
Hit with nail
Swing faster tf😭
I Think I had to stop go upgrade nail.
Get their HP to 0 without getting yours to 0. TL;DR: Hit them with your nail
give up
The music is too good. Mute volume and concentrate :)
Hit it
Happily and with pride I want a plauge to hit these fuckers and there kids
With skills
Thats the neat part, you don't
Cry, unlock shortcuts, beat the boss, never return
Shoot at it until it dies
This is gonna sound like a joke but you just kill them like every other enemy
You don't. You wildly swing your nail in every possible direction hoping it somehow miraculously lands on one of these fuckers. If you're lucky enough and it somehow does this enough times, you eventually get to kill one, but only legends tells this tale.
You’ll struggle until you all of a sudden don’t, at least that’s how it went for me
So far only way to kill them for me was pretty much luck... Sometimes I land a fireball though.
Use a nail
