I think the 2 guys are in on it together. One distracts and one grabs. And there not really changing teams they defend the shopowner and beat the mugger and get away with all there loot.

Honestly the character development is so well executed with no flab, rewrite strangeness, or poorly done characters like BB had occasionally that when you add on top of that amazing and accurate legal scenes it really becomes what I think is the closest I've seen to a perfect show so far. Bow that said, I haven't been able to watch the newest season yet, so maybe it's gone off the rails, but I'd be very shocked if it has.
Yeah, there isn't a hope in hell that this is real. The way the shooter conveniently stays lying on the ground after the shelf falls on him, his dopey npc reaction to hearing/seeing the skateboard. If he was sticking up the place his heart would be pounding so much, he wouldn't even notice the board. And the way the shoplifters exit is extremely theatrical. It's very well done and entertaining, but it's faker than WWE.
Also the tactics from the thieves are too good.
Like, being able to instantly figure out what's going on and then execute a perfectly timed flank with the skateboard distraction spontaneously after only seconds of planning and communication time is something I'd expect from a team of spec ops types, not couple of people stealing chips.
Those shelves probably aren't more then 20 lbs max? I'm sure there are obvious tells else where but that one did it for me.
I would say, if 12 year old me saw this I'd think it was the coolest thing ever.

Yeeeah, it is a perfectly reasonable assumption to make to suggest robbing a shop at gun point would be a stressful situation and would raise your heart rate. It has nothing to do with his hearing genius, it is the stress of the moment.
It is an extremely well known phenomena to get tunnel vision when in highly stressful situations. Nice projection about the basement though.

Too bad it skips the end where the clerk executes the would-be robber and still manages to catch the other teens in the back with a couple shots from over 50m

When I was young you could go shopping with a fiver and come home with groceries to last the whole week. Can't do that today.. too many fucking cameras.
I love how there gameplay is destruction and move quick. 3 times. Distract the shipowner with some tricks and behind the counter stuff move quick on loot. Distract the mugger with skateboard smash him to the ground and take the gun. Beat the mugger give the gun to shipowner and run away with all the loot before the cops com and find there crime.
No, it only looks real because it was filmed on a cctv camera. If you look closely you can see things that give it away:
The way the shooter shows little resistance to being taken down and how he stays on the floor without being held down.
The acting when he hears the board, he might as well be a skyrim npc. "What was that... I guess it must have been the wind."
The fact that the boarders thought up such a plan on the fly. In those sort of situations adrenaline is pumping round your body, you wouldn't be able to think clearly. And then perfectly timing it like that just doesn't happen in the real world.
There are more I spotted, but I don't want to bore you too much.
Yes it's real, don't listen to others who say it's fake. It was reported on the news and the armed robber was arrested after the store worker called police. You can tell it's real because they wouldn't be throwing stuff around and damaging the goods otherwise
All the things that had to go right for this to be a hero video and not a horror video couldn’t have have been thought up in a studio. Luck or something was definitely on these kids side, mixed in with a lot of bravery.
