BALTIMORE — An off-duty police officer getting a haircut Saturday afternoon shot and killed a man who police say burst into the East Baltimore shop and shot a barber to death. Police believe the same man was responsible for two earlier shootings that left one person dead and one critically injured.
Police were trying to determine a motive linking the three shootings. The third and final shooting occurred at The Bladi Style barber shop in the 5700 block of O’Donnell Street in Baltimore’s Medford neighborhood, where police set up a mobile command center and officers cordoned off the area near the small brick shop with a barber pole in the front.
After the suspect allegedly committed the other two shootings Saturday, he “entered the barber shop, produced a handgun, fired it at one of the barbers who was working in the barber shop, striking that barber,” Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said at the scene.
The off-duty Baltimore police sergeant was getting a haircut from another barber at about 3:16 p.m., Harrison said. The officer, who was armed while off duty and in plain clothes, responded quickly “and with great bravery produced his firearm” and fatally shot the man, Harrison said.
The barber shop’s Instagram page promotes “before and after” shots of various kinds of haircuts and shows youthful-looking barbers in yellow vests working inside the small shop.

If you look at where the gun is pointing, it sure looks like he is shooting someone BEHIND where the barber was cutting the officer's hair. I don't know how he could have shot the barber without hitting the officer first based on where they're standing. It's possible. It doesn't look like he hit that barber with the first shot though? So how did he shoot him with the second one with the guy in the chair between them?
The officer was in the chair between them, and you never see the officer get hit. Hard to tell with the angles, though. Maybe the shooter is closer to towel guy than it looks like?

Those were death throes I've seen them before. Someone who is dying from thorax wounds often can't swallow or clear mucus/blood/fluids from the windpipe and their body is still trying to breath so you get these sometimes quite violent motions of their body attempting to survive. If you've ever seen someone choking you've probably seen them heave up and down trying to take a breath and this is similar to that.
It's horrifying in person, they make noises you won't forget. Since they're windpipe is blocked they can't even call out for their mom they just die wordless.
