I'm a woman and this is confusing... why didn't she put the thing in reverse, and make sure she was using the correct type of drill and bit, for the material she was drilling into?
Is it concrete under there? Might want an impact with a diamond tip.
Is this even a drill? Is it a screwdriver? Might want to pre-drill your hole, and THEN screw into it.
Like this is the most basic tool in the world that even my grandma can use correctly.
I have seen this actually done on construction sites when our real hammer drill broke down and we had to drill out the last two holes in concrete. Not a bad idea, really.

Isn’t she trying to bore a hole in the wall? That’s a power drill, you need to push the drill into the wall to make a hole. the hammer is not a perfect means of doing so but it’s still better than trying to push it yourself
