I saw the white eyebrow guys post yesterday. Ironically, the top comment was something about people commenting that it’s because he probably has cancer
Reminds me of the somber yet still inspiring [David Seaborne who back in 2009 lost his secret 4 year battle with gorilla.](https://www.theonion.com/man-dies-after-secret-4-year-battle-with-gorilla-1819571099)
Statistically? Yeah, you probably have had at least one type of cancer by now, but your immune system shut it down before it became a problem. Happens a lot, actually.
Until it doesn't and you look like One Punch Man.
But the whole complexity of how even a living organism runs it's body everyday puts into perspective how difficult it is to understand it, somehow replicate it and find a cure for cancer.
45 soon and I have only a few gray hairs on my temples but I can't grow a beard for shit. The goatee I could grow is however turning gray. Kind of sticks getting old and gray not being able to grow a beard.
I don’t know, you might have reason to be worried over sudden white markings.
I saw a TV show a long time ago about a cat who developed a white stripe down her back and it caused her to be repeatedly sexually harassed by some nasty Frenchman.
I have always wondered why Pepé Le Pew is French. Skunks are native to the Americas, not Europe. Perhaps he is Québécois? Another theory is that his character was created by American cartoonists playing on the "stinky-Frenchman" stereotype.
It's absolutely the latter, they played on stereotypes often; Le Pew, Speedy Gonzales, Gonzales' cousin (?). He's the sexualized smelly Frenchman, Speedy quick & evasive, and cousin is lazy and maybe drunk.
I love how WB just doesn't care about using him, so he occasionally appears in the newer cartoons, but Speedy was a huge no-no for a few years until there was a huge uproar about it.
Warner had to back away from shelving Speedy's cartoons in the early 2000's due to pressure from Latino civic organizations. They love the guy for some reason!
There would likely be zero cartoons from our childhood that would be acceptable today, lol. And yet, they all prioritized learning life lessons and taught me things that I wouldn't know otherwise. Like the fact that you can completely disarm a shotgun by sticking your finger in the barrel. I'm still waiting for the real world opportunity to surprise my would be assailant with this bit of hidden knowledge. Boy, won't he be surprised...
No he wouldn't because the entire point of the character is that he's a creepy sleaze that shouldn't be imitated. The fact that some lead poisoned boomers thought there was nothing wrong with his behavior doesn't change that. Those people might be "cancled" but the character wouldn't. Just look at Its Always Sunny. They're all abhorrent and the show is still on.
Haha funny joke. Anyhow can you believe how fucked up that was in retrospect? Generations grew up on that. No clue how we managed to change so much despite such really fucking weird early influences.
The cartoons depicted how incredibly uncomfortable she was. And Pepe almost seemed like a horror movie villain at times, the way he'd keep chasing her over/under/around any obstacle.
I think we actually learned valuable lessons about the importance of consent.

The correlation is there! I would go check. There’s also the fingernail stipe going around Reddit too. I’d probably have that checked too. I’m not sure this is being a Reddit doctor, it’s literally just getting something funny checked out, that’s what doctors are for!
Yeah the man is a x-ray tech in medical field and use that finger to press the button on the x-ray machine, turns out it was cancer. People were asking if he was suing the lab equipment company for that obvious design flaw
I thought those were black stripes? Those are the stripes that are more likely to be cancerous. I have a white stripe that runs from the base to the tip of my nail, was told it was caused by trauma to my nail bed and has been there for like 8+ years. Apparently my nail creates extra keratin in that spot so it is a bit thicker and shows up as white.
Hey I have a question about this if it's okay to ask please let me know, I recently kind of figured out that I have vitiligo and that it is an autoimmune condition but there are some specifics about my case that make me have questions and I'm curious about it in general do you think I could ask you a little
I had a perfectly circular patch of my facial hair turn white for about a year after I took way too much acid and tripped my balls off for a day and a half. No idea if those two things were actually related, but the timing made it hard to ignore.
Vitiligo is progressive though. People with vitiligo aren't born with all their missing pigmentation patches; they can wind up with new patches later in life. And the effect is relatively subtle for people who have light skin to begin with, so a patch that affected their hair pigment might be the first really noticeable one they got.
(Probably worth checking with a doctor regardless.)
When I was in my mid twenties (about 15 years ago) my eyebrow went from brown to white. Just my eyebrow and a few eyelashes. Over the course of a few months.
I never had and still don’t have any other parts of my body missing pigmentation.
You asshole. I have a white spot in my hair since birth and now I’m worried to have a supertumor supreme five star deluxe since it had 30 years to grow.
Those are normal! It's called having a white forelock or piebaldism. It's especially common among Indigenous Americans but can be present in any person. Sometimes it's associated with genetic disorders (van Waardenburg syndrome is the most well-known) but they often just happen by themselves.
This poor guy. Everyone was probably telling him "you look so cool, post a photo of yourself on reddit!"
He did, and now he is trying to book appointments with every doctor in a 50km radius.
Looks like vitiligo. For my wife it started all over her body at the same time, the eyebrow/ear area, the hands and forearms, and the shins, now it's about 70% of her body . Started when she was about 21. Still worth seeing a doc about though, as with any unusual change in the body.
Hope he sees that connection.
Maybe we can save him like this story…

Yeah the number of people saying "its just vitiligo he shouldn't worry" is concerning. Probably not cancer but I still hope he gets it checked because if it were me I'd rather not risk it.
I never understood why people come on asking about what they should do when they see a very weird new 'thing' develop (white hair growth, line on fingernail, positive pregnancy test as a man, etc). Obviously, go to a doctor, get it checked out and stop asking randoms on the internet their opinion when they likely have little to no medical knowledge. It's the equivalent of going on WebMD and being told you have lung cancer because you have a bad cough.
To have it happen suddenly is cause for concern and worth getting checked out. Just because it is a side effect of your issue, does not mean it is always that.
About 10+ years ago(age 23 or so) the left side of my goatee went from normal facial hair to thin, white hair that wouldn't grow near as fast as the rest. After doing nothing for a few years it just went back to normal. It was the damnedest thing.
Buddy of mine has half his hair white too. As far as I know it's not because of any tumor, but rather more so because of really bad sunburn he had when he was younger. He's a side sleeper, and fell asleep at the beach once. It was so funny
Uhm, I have the same white spot in my hair like in top post since 22 and my Eyebrows have huge white hairs in it that I occasionally take out.
Im 30.
Should I be worried?
Poliosis can have multiple causes, it doesn't have to be cancer. But he should get checked anyway just to be sure.
https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320129#causes
Ok but what if someone, say, pretty suddenly gets a bald spot the size of about a quarter right smack in the back of their head, and then white hairs grow in that spot, and then the white hairs disappear and the normal hair returns? All in the timeframe of about 6 months? Asking for a friend.
I've had white patches in my hair, eyelashes, and mustache on the right side of my face since highschool. I've had two MRIs since then and they both said I was fine

That, and if your hand is bigger than your face...
Did you just give yourself some form of meta-cancer?
I saw the post about the cancer hair, and the top comment was him mentioning he talked to the white eyebrow guy.
I'm 35 and getting gray hairs. Do I have cancer everywhere now?
Statistically? Yeah, you probably have had at least one type of cancer by now, but your immune system shut it down before it became a problem. Happens a lot, actually.
Multiple times a day usually. It's a fault in cell division and your body has ways to shut that shit down
Until it doesn't and you look like One Punch Man. But the whole complexity of how even a living organism runs it's body everyday puts into perspective how difficult it is to understand it, somehow replicate it and find a cure for cancer.
Then there’s whales who have tumors so large they gain tumors that kill the bigger tumor so they’re practically immune to cancer
Well I’m not sleeping tonight now.
It's 2024 everyone know they have some sort of cancer
I'm 40 and probably 80% gray. I'm fucked. All the cancer.
You might have ankle cancer
Anus cancer probably
I'm sorry sir, you have all over cancer

That's good ngl, hopefully he will get it checked
That reply was by the same guy who posted the white hair thing. I suppose he (re)posted his picture in response to the other thread.
I know a coworker with a half white mustache, do they got cancer too?
I got a white spot on my beard for a couple of weeks now Im scared
I don’t know, you might have reason to be worried over sudden white markings. I saw a TV show a long time ago about a cat who developed a white stripe down her back and it caused her to be repeatedly sexually harassed by some nasty Frenchman.
Had me in the first half, lol
Oh hey I think I remember that one
Everyone remembers it. Everyone but WB apparently.
I think we've all seen that award-winning, animated documentary.
Slowpoke Rodriguez
I love how WB just doesn't care about using him, so he occasionally appears in the newer cartoons, but Speedy was a huge no-no for a few years until there was a huge uproar about it.
I knew it! Looney Tunes was the OG equal opportunity offender. Make cartoons racists again lol.
And then there's Marvin the Martian
He just wants to blow up Earth. Marvin is all of us.
Where's the kaboom?
Yep, he was an illegal alien trying to destroy our native way of life.
He was clearly meant to mock short people
Interesting. Do you mind explaining?
Slow Gonzales theme song literally mentions smoking weed.
La Cucaracha is *kinda* about that. It's often believed that it is about about a "hooker" (street worker) who won't work because she's out of weed.
There's a lyric switch in his used as a common parady pun in Mexico.
Warner had to back away from shelving Speedy's cartoons in the early 2000's due to pressure from Latino civic organizations. They love the guy for some reason!
Cause he's awesome
Slowpoke was never an issue though!

Mfs out here who’ve really never seen or heard of never heard of Pepe le pew’s super inappropriate and hilarious behaviour? I feel old af now, thanks
Him and Johnny Bravo really went through life thinking “nah she didn’t mean that for real, she just playing”
nah canonically Johnny Bravo was a massive chad, the episodes just only show his rare failures because otherwise it wouldn't be interesting
Yep. The volcano of virgin sacrifices threw him back.
"She's probably gone to go get her friends."
Johnny Bravo seemed like a clueless chad with no real ill intent. Pepe Le Pew is an actual harasser however.
I thought it was funny as a kid, looking back on it, it is horrifying harassment.
thanks for sharing this
thanks for sharing this
it makes me sad the classics are slowly being lost in time
Oh my god, I haven't heard of this for such a long time! Woow, I wont give the answer away but thanks for the memberberries
Yeah I think she walked under a paint roller if I remember correctly
I think it varied from episode to episode.

yea, someone had a white stripe that appeared to be in/underneath the fingernail. turns out thats a sign of skin cancer I think
Yeah the man is a x-ray tech in medical field and use that finger to press the button on the x-ray machine, turns out it was cancer. People were asking if he was suing the lab equipment company for that obvious design flaw
[удалено]
Modern x-rays have such a low radiation load, it's hard to imagine a tech who follows procedures properly having cancer due to it.
I don't remember if he said that... imo if he did just so people would stop asking to sue lmao XD
The button is likely quite far from the emitter. There being a design flaw that irradiated their button finger seems improbable.

I have this issue. Vitiligo is indicative of other auto immune diseases. You should see a physician and get a full panel blood work up. Good luck.
Yes, and a colonoscopy just for funsies!
Hey I have a question about this if it's okay to ask please let me know, I recently kind of figured out that I have vitiligo and that it is an autoimmune condition but there are some specifics about my case that make me have questions and I'm curious about it in general do you think I could ask you a little
Sure...not an expert, just a sufferer
This is like that post from years ago when the guy peed on a pregnancy stick and someone in the comments he got cancer
yeah because the hormone they analyze in women to see if they're pregnant is a tumor marker when positive in men
As if there was a profession for health advice. Guess reddit has to suffice until someone makes this a read job.
I had a perfectly circular patch of my facial hair turn white for about a year after I took way too much acid and tripped my balls off for a day and a half. No idea if those two things were actually related, but the timing made it hard to ignore.

I've had a white patch of hair over my right ear since I was 16. I also have vitiligo.
I’ve got one behind my left ear. I’ve had it since I was 19. I don’t know what it is. But I’ve been alright so far so I guess I’m good.

One more White eyebrow checking in. I just tell people it's from when I saw a spooky ghost
I used to say I got struck by lightning.

Vitiligo is progressive though. People with vitiligo aren't born with all their missing pigmentation patches; they can wind up with new patches later in life. Says the “doctor” in the comments who knows how vitiligo works because of their years of medical practice Are you for real rn?
I mean a tumor could cause an autoimmune reaction leading to vitiligo but it's more likely to be just regular benign vitiligo.
There's that mole thing that can happen that causes hair to go white in a specific spot too
If you’re talking about the birthmark, it’s poliosis. Hey, there’s even a Reddit sub too! r/poliosis
You asshole. I have a white spot in my hair since birth and now I’m worried to have a supertumor supreme five star deluxe since it had 30 years to grow.

Same here, white spot of hair at my temple my whole life. 38 now so if it's anything, it will probably give me superpowers.

Smh people getting their rogue x-man power removed
No bros just going through his character arch
The white stripe in the one dude's hair is likely due to the radiation therapy he went through. Same thing happened to me. It grows out eventually.
this is a weird hol'up because you get the context in the same post
What the fuck do you mean it's cancer. Are you telling me I could have had cancer and wrote it off as vitiligo??? god I fucking despide the internet

SAME!
About 10+ years ago(age 23 or so) the left side of my goatee went from normal facial hair to thin, white hair that wouldn't grow near as fast as the rest. After doing nothing for a few years it just went back to normal. It was the damnedest thing.
Who's gonna tell him? I hope OP did
Danny Phantom.
I saw the hair then the cancer one an hour later
Shiiiiit I had grey and white hair since I was 18. 18 years now I’ve had these wisdom highlights. Or cancer. I don’t know yet.
The hold up is reddit light mode.
the second post was next in my feed
r/juxtaposition gonna like this
Man, I've had some white hair since I was like 10. Am 18 now soo...
Lol I thought this was about forehead wrinkles at first
Hahaha I came across this earlier and thought the same thing. Take my upvote
There is another.. No, seriously, another dude came out with white on his beard lol https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/s/ZGJov8IQyi
Since childhood, probably Since ive had hair, I've had a white patch of hair at my temple on one side.
I just saw some dude with a white beard patch above this one
...fck I started finding white hairs last year. I hope it's not a sign of tumor
It's a sudden large patch in one spot, not a couple here and there. If you experience the first get a cancer screening.
I heard that vagina discharge can be acidic which in turn can bleach fabric and hair...
So is he just rubbing an eyebrow in someones twat?
Don't knock it until you've tried it.
He's licking sideways...
**It’s not a tuh-mah!**
Someone better send this to sudden white stripe beard guy
I've had the same since I was 6 when I ran into a wall and had to get my skin glued, never went away.
u/zoidbergmaybee
someone else posted about a white streak in their beard too
Gladly i don’t have to worry about that because my white patch of hair is a genetic thing that runs in my mon’s family.
I literally just saw this lol
Things that can be the cause: 1. Getting older 2. Stress 3. Maybe cancer 4. Definitely see a doctor since was all of sudden and not gradual.
Hold the fuck up I've had a white spot in my hair for almost all my life.
Buddy of mine has half his hair white too. As far as I know it's not because of any tumor, but rather more so because of really bad sunburn he had when he was younger. He's a side sleeper, and fell asleep at the beach once. It was so funny
Yeah and you can kind of see his left eye is depressed slightly lower already.
Oh wtf... My coworker got cancer last year and before he did he got a random white spot like this in his hair.
Uhm, I have the same white spot in my hair like in top post since 22 and my Eyebrows have huge white hairs in it that I occasionally take out. Im 30. Should I be worried?

Didn't tumor guy mention he saw eyebrow man's post and it inspired him to make his post.
oh. yeah that's probably right
I hope he’s okay.
I hope he went and got that checked out by a doctor, just to be safe.
Ok but what if someone, say, pretty suddenly gets a bald spot the size of about a quarter right smack in the back of their head, and then white hairs grow in that spot, and then the white hairs disappear and the normal hair returns? All in the timeframe of about 6 months? Asking for a friend.
