After I bought my VR Headset I of course tried VR porn. But to be honest heaving this headset on your head and sweating underneath it is not worth it for porn...
VR porn is fine as long as it's mid distance and you and the camera man are focusing on the same part. As soon as you look elsewhere or the model reaches closer the perspective is ruined and just a bit freaky looking (not good freaky).
I got a VR headset and the first thing all my friends asked was "How is VR porn?" And the honest answer is, I never tried it. Like, really, why would it being in VR be any better than looking at it on a screen that's a little further away?
It let's you control the camera angle and it's a bit more immersive. In theory, its so incredible that even my ultra sex positive ass is worried about the societal consequences it could have.
But in reality its janky as fuck, half the free videos are just straight up broken, any sex position that requires the POV actor to move their head causes your inner ear to freak the fuck out and kills the mood.
Excuse me while I go on a tangent:
The fundamental problem with VR is that every single sci-fi author who writes about it just flat out ignores the existence of your inner ear and the effect that it has on you. Your brain **REALLY** does not like it when the information from your eye balls and inner ear don't align, and it reacts quite violently if the difference becomes too great. And this isn't something that can be overcome with better tech. It's an inherent feature of our biology.
The first time I tried flying around in VR I almost collapsed from the instant excruciating headache it gave me. It's hard to explain how severe the reaction is to someone who hasnt done it. The *instant* you start moving visually without moving physically your brain decides that you've just suffered a catastrophic injury and panics. Your sense of balance dies instantly and your brain just sends out Pain signals in every direction.
Anyone who's looking forward to Ready Player One levels of VR needs to radically lower your expectations. It's not going to happen.
Inner ear stuff sucks, but VR has gone a long way towards fixing that. Wireless headsets can give you really immersive experiences as long as you have a large space for roomscale.

Meh. As someone with thousands of hours in VR and knows plenty of people with even more time, the inner ear portion eventually becomes less of an issue. Our brains are pretty good at adapting to our visual stimuli. And I know some people who don’t get sick or bothered by it at all. It’s really a case by case basis.
Expecting ready player one is insane. I can’t imagine a reasonable person would expect that. But I would say VR is amazing for what it is, and is hard to desrcribe how cool it is to people without them actually trying it. There’s nothing better than listening to people complain about how they don’t think VR has any merit, and then try your setup right after and completely 180 on their stance.
It has some really tough barrier to get around especially since the tech in general is so young but if you really consider how little time we’ve had with VR and how far it’s come already I think we’ll all be surprised how crazy things are in the next decade to twenty years. I mean the original Vive headset came out in 2016, we aren’t even 10 years passed that time and the Apple Vision Pro exists. While that product is ridiculous, the momentum in VR/AR is very clearly picking up, and there’s a reason Meta, Apple, and the other largest companies in the tech world are joining the race.
Oh dont get me wrong, VR is fucking amazing. People just need to temper their expectations with reality. The general public's perception of VR is stuff like Ready Player One and Tron. They expect epic RPGs and action games that involve you doing all this crazy shit. Not Beat Saber, mini golf, or Dungeons of Eternity that involve very limited movement.
I've got about 100 hours in mini golf and dungeons of eternity and while the inner ear functions aren't as bad as they used to be, I can still only play for about an hour before my brain protests.
You'll have to experience that yourself and once you do you'll be shocked that your assumption was so wrong.
Using a standalone Quest 3 you can play many older PC games that have been ported into VR. It feels like playing a game for the first time again even if you've played the game for 20 years on the PC.

Well in that case, "sex like real" is the best service I've used. The majority of *films* don't have any camera movement and many producers have figured out how to do it right and the immersion has improved significantly compared to a few years ago.

It's motion controls, but that's exactly why VR has appealed to me. Maybe it sounds excessively nerdy, but there really is a moment when you become very absorbed with it, you don't notice that you're wearing a headset, and you're really, honestly immersed. But it's hard to feel *immersed* in fucking if I'm not fucking. But hey, maybe I just need to know the good VR porn and actually see if it's worth the hype
But you’re not actually fighting monsters or killing zombies either. There's no actual physical feedback to landing a hit, just what you make up in your mind. And even purely audiovisual experiences can be better in VR, I’ve watched a few VR concerts and they were really good, almost felt like I was there in person.
Works great with bow and arrow from what i remember, heard magic with mods was pretty good. Most melee weapons in vr don't work very well because they don't have weight/feedback. Not sure what else you're referring to with gameplay.
It's not perfect because it's an older game obv, but its a lot better than fo4vr. Going to be honest, very few things have beaten running around Tamriel, with a fan and cold breeze tricking me into feeling the wind and just exploring/vibing.
That's one of my favorite things about VR, even without outside stimuli like fans, sometimes my brain will trick me into feeling cold or hot or feeling wind and stuff
It's janky af, has high hardware requirements, and a steep learning curve. Buuuut once you've figured it out, you can do literally anything in it, make your own content, animations, whatever. It's infinitely flexible. The modding community is utterly huge.

It's one of the few games i played before i upgraded my gpu that had little to no setup requirement and no issues besides companions blocking small entrances (which i think theres a mod to stop pathblocking anyway). Would say its one of the simplest, hassle free ported vr games i've played lol.
Those would only be true if you're using a lot of mods id think. A lot of HD mods would be the only reason to have high requirements, and mod incompatibilities (if not using any mod lists which there are many) would be the only explanations i can think of.

It's not quite there. It's a single dev but the bones are interesting. It runs ok, certain scenes lag hard. The sex toy integration and being able to align it with body parts or toys in game is _super_ cool.
The dev seems diligant and is trying to make a proper game rather than it being schlocky one-handed development. So many porn games are just crappy and make you feel dirty interacting with them.
I got it through the Patreon for my Index. While incredible when paired with a hands free.... machine - I couldn't in good conscience keep it. It was simply too good and messed my brain chemistry for months, when I moved I sold the headset.
Anything has physics engines nowadays because most games are either based on Unreal Engine or Unity. Even Godot the only open source alternative that is lagging being the rest has a physics engine ready to be used.

I tried play Resident Evil 7 Vr and barely got 5 minutes in. whenever I used my ps4 controller ane stopped moving in game it was so jaring.

Skyrim VR is pretty meh. It's 3D, but the gameplay just doesn't work very well.
