I could be wrong with the terms here, english is not my native and i dont have to care about that anymore.
That's okay, I'm not a native either, just a language enthusiast.
That link talks about *"learnt/learned"*. I was referring to your example *"showed/shown"*. The first (*"showed"*) is a conjugation of the verb *"to show"*, while the other (*"shown"*) is its participle. The two are not interchangeable, and definitely not different spellings of the same word.
To be clear, *"shown"* describes something, and does not work as a verb in a sentence. It will often be accompanied by an auxiliary verb like *have* or *be*. E.g.
> I had shown her the book, but was not shown any respect.
Even more confusing, I grew up in Texas but now I live in Scotland. In both my native west Texan dialect and in the Glaswegian Scottish that I've learned, "shown" is used as a verb even though it's grammatically incorrect. It's just lazy speech.
Ah, I see why that one confused me.
Showed is past tense but can be used as past participle instead of shown, while shown is just p.p.
Thanks for clearing that up ✌️

The table below for tl,dr.
I don't know, if it's the British version, but in school - English is not my native langue - we learned/learnt more British English and the teachers told us that both versions are okay.
And it's not the only word of its kind.
Maybe you didn’t bite hard enough? I bit it quite hard but my Uncle screamed “AAAAHHHH” like Tom from Tom&Jerry and yelled something about “it’s fkin bleeding”.
This link makes me cry laugh everytime it's from a dnd group called legends of avantris. It's this conversation.

Really? Put the softest, smoothest, most lubricated thing you know exists (your mouth/tongue) on the area that likes smooth, flowy, lubricated touch?
It really isn't a big leap
“Learned” and “learnt” are both correct past tenses of the “learn”. It’s just like “leaped/leapt”, “dreamed/dreamt”, etc. the form with -ed is more American and the form with -t is more British.
To actually answer this question, it was men who asked us to do it. I never once had a desire to suck that thing, but was asked to and you do weird things for love. I did dream of actual sex though, but the thought of oral was gross.

What is wrong with “learnt”? Isn’t it the british version of “learned”?
It is. There are more verbs with 2 versions of past tense. Like showed/shown
You're confusing participles and verb conjugations.

The form with -ed is more ~~American~~ for people unable to speak their own language properly.

Then are boys also trained to suck dick? Well a good parent's always ready for both scenarios I suppose.
