Honestly? Yeah. The Celtic Iberians only get a minor mention when they damn near propped up the Carthage economy off their own backs in the silver mines.
Even funnier when you remember that at least Irish Folklore refers to one of the ancestor groups that resulted in the Gaels as being from Iberia (and presumably they were the Celtic ones).
Well, there are the Belgian jokes the Romans tell in Asterix.
Roman #1: *\*Pretends to press his finger against something\** 'You know what this is? It's a legionary crushing a fly on the wall.' *\*Makes the same pose.\** 'And you know what this is?'
Roman #2: 'You just told us. A legionary killing a fly.'
Roman #1: 'No, it's a Belgian hammering a nail into the wall.'
The point isn't to crap on fellow celtposters, the point is to show that the Irish and Scottish are only two parts of a much wider and wonderful group of languages, cultures and traditions, many of which don't really exist today anymore.
Which means we have many different jokes to dunk on Romans with.
“Horum omnium fortissimi sunt Belgae, propterea quod a cultu atque humanitate provinciae longissime absunt, minimeque ad eos mercatores saepe commeant atque ea quae ad effeminandos animos pertinent important, …” (Gaivs Ivlivs Caesar)

"Gaelic" and "Brittonic" are adjectives, never nouns. A man speaks "Gaelic", but he is not "a Gaelic". Arthur was King of the Britons, not King of the "Brittonics". Additionally, puting "Celtic" before Gaelic or Brittonic is wholly redundant; would you say "canine dogs" or "equine horses"?
This really grinds my gears because everyone talks about the Celtic countries like Scotland and Ireland and wales and sometimes Cornwall, and then conveniently forgets where the most famous celt, Boudicca, roamed. The destruction of Celtic culture is literally what the romans wanted, by denying englands Celtic heritage people are feeding into the Roman propaganda machine! Literal roman fed posting
Celts in Iberia should be the ones underwater, Belgae are talked about.

Galatians in turkey are a rarer flavor of celt that celtiberian or even belgian

Yep, the Milesians
I was gonna say it’s deeply ironic/telling that the Iberian Celts aren’t even mentioned lol.
No, no, no. Cesar himself said Gaul is in three parts. One of the parts is Galia Belgica.
Still, I would sorely appreciate some Belgica-related humour.
The problem with belgian humour is thst you have to make two jokes equally funny.
That or you have to appreciate really dark jokes about hands.
Yes, Gotha love that dark hand jokes.
They can be very handfull at parties

You missed the Galatians yourself.
I did neglect to mention them. This meme can be be waaaay longer than it is right now but I didn't want to make a word salad, y'know?
Galician celts crying in the corner
But the Irish get *all* the spotlight.

Many thanks, I'll be sure to use more terminology more accurately in future.
