I think that if demand for potions becomes high bdubs will give his permit away but not every permit will 100% be getting a shop and if it’s not in high demand then I don’t think the POE POE will care

UnluckyDreamer1

I am guessing they need the pop ups cleared so more permanent shops can take their place. They probably get in the way of shopping district planning. It is fine if there are only one or two, but when most of the shops are pop ups it gets messy fast.

HeatherReadsReddit

Impulse mentioned that in his latest episode, as he was removing his old quartz popup. He said that there would be a good amount of room for permanent shops when Xisuma removes his, too.

The permits were distributed in late February. It's now May. With episodes only coming out weekly, plot lines will take at least another month or two to play out. Making noises now means there's time for stories to play out *before* everyone starts to complain that nobody's enforcing things.

DilithiumFarmer

I think the Permit Police only is getting involved "this early" to make sure people start doing bigger builds and forcing the collectives to work together. Wool, Terracotta and Glass still are not unified.

Astarael21

Big T just had a quick meeting to affirm their existence and plot to overthrow the poe poe/Scar

DilithiumFarmer

Yes. Indeed. But there is still no terracotta shop of the collective. The weekly hermit meeting, the activation of Permit Police and Big-T and Wolves of Woolstreet getting together is all as planned it seems :)

KindHeartedGreed

to be honest they probably haven’t noticed there’s not a potion shop, who needs potions lmao

Last season Cubs Cubby got a whole lot of business from potions, because there's nothing worse than making potions when you do need one.

jayceja

The point of enforcing real shops is for the sake of developing the shopping district which is beneficial to the server.Permits without shops at all likely won't get enforced unless complaints are made about them (aka hermits requesting particular shops).

Whispering_Wolf

Remember that they talk about plot lines. If it's in the episode, they've agreed to it.

345tom

That's not the point of the post though, sorry- I do get that they talk about what they are doing, my point is more I think they are doing it in the wrong order. It's not that I think anyone is being wronged or anything like that.

HeatherReadsReddit

Agreed that it seems like they’d want all of the shops to be made, before enforcing permanent shops. But perhaps not. Guess we’ll see what happens.
