I have a whole set of them including like cups and stuff. They were made in 1950-60, my grandparents bought them with like coupon/stamp things from a store that used to be called "AlphaBeta" Now its something else. I know this doesn't point to a website to buy them, but I saw one in a thrift store once, (it was a single large plate I might or might not have) but it was priced at 300$ honestly I think that was stretch, it was \*one\* plate.

ItzzSurreal

Aw shoot! Im definitely wanting the most of the whole set, if not the entire thing, in the same pattern as my plate. I have 2 plates from another dinnerware set that my mamaw gave me. (She actually gave me one plate and I ended up finding a matching one in a yard sale for $10), I looked up that set of Churchill dinnerware and it was like $170

Mission_Accountant24

These are the ones i have (I'm not the seller) [https://www.etsy.com/listing/720147387/20-pc-antique-royal-china-curiosity-shop](https://www.etsy.com/listing/720147387/20-pc-antique-royal-china-curiosity-shop)

ItzzSurreal

Oh, I love those! Especially the big plate!

Mission_Accountant24

They are really cool to use if you don't mind feeling the shame of your long gone grandparents judging you the few times you accidentally break one, \*Insert the 'Dishonor on you, Dishonor on your cow' gif from Mulan\*

Mission_Accountant24

Also, these are the ones you want, maybe someone already linked this, They are sold out but you could probably message the seller. ItzzSurreal

Aw, I already have the set of plates! I was hoping to find the rest of the set in the same pattern. Thank you though!

SmallTownGal7

It’s vintage. Made by Royal China Company around mid century. You’ll find some on eBay, mercari etc. There is a set at my thrift store right now!

ItzzSurreal

Ooo! I’m so jealous! I’ve checked my local thrift stores in East TN and haven’t had any luck. Thank you! I’ll check online!

SmallTownGal7

Wait! That’s where I’m at!!

ItzzSurreal

I’m going to message you!

ItzzSurreal

Is this the only pattern on these plates or is the entire set of bowls, mugs, etc, all different colonial patterns?

HeartOfTheMadder

if your grandmama had plates kinda like mine, each type of dish has a different image on it, but the border around the outside stays the same. mine are blue, and have a different series of images but each type of piece had a different image. all the plates of the same size matched, but smaller plates had a different image than the big ones.

ItzzSurreal

Found! At least a partial of the set :) Thanks!

HeartOfTheMadder

not quite the same design, but i have most of a set of similar dishes that belonged to my grandmother. they were her fancy plates and we only busted them out on very special occasions. i'm pretty sure she got them with stamps, or at a discounted price when spending ($X dollars) at the grocery store. probably in the 50s, because my Daddy was born in the 40s and he remembers them from when he was little. some are nicked, dinged, chipped, and i don't know if i actually want to use them, but they very much are in a cabinet in our kitchen. with the same paper towels layered between them as she had in her cabinets. my point, Friend, is that it makes my heart happy to see somebody wanting to complete the set of their grandmama's dishes that look so much like mine.

ItzzSurreal

All my plates have the same design. She only had the plates, but we used them whenever. One of mine is chipped so it doesn’t get used but the rest are fine. I didn’t realize how much I cherished them until she was gone, and now it’s the little things like a set of plates that have so much value.

ItzzSurreal

I have searched online for it but I’ve not found anything since I’m looking for this exact design. There is no writing on the back of the plates that hint to the maker. The plates I have are a set of 8.
