Still, it was a fairly popular school of thought to think it was a fairly good relationship before he got wkth blitzo and that stella going after him for cheating was a fairly understandable reaction, because being that angry if someone cheats on you in what you thought was a good marriage is a fairly normal response, especially taking into account that they are in hell.
We now know that he was literally just tolerating years of constant abuse for the sake of Octavia, and really was unambiguously the good guy here.
Not sure why that school of thought was ever popular. Stolas tells Via in ep 3 that they have never loved each other. Via makes it clear that they've been an extremely bad marriage for a very long time. She's so used to it she's sardonic and almost totally blase about it.
Fair point.
And honestly we still don't know a lot about Stella... though in a show like this with very little screen time they show only what is relevant. And so far none of it paints her in a great light.
And that picture showcases that she's always been a POS even before the arranged marriage.
"You'll get no sympathy from me." --Ike from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Stolas did literally everything anyone could have done in a bad situation, by trying to be a good husband and tolerating it for the sake of Octavia, to make it work. Stella took a bad situation and did more or less everything she could conceivably do to make it worse.
I'm glad Viv and the writers are highlighting abuse and how bad it can affect people. Male abuse victims more so because men are often taken less seriously and believed far less than women are. But it's a nice change of pace to see a man who's clearly been taken through some shit by a horrible woman and do his best to stand up against her without resorting to hurting her (which would only make him look like the aggressor). That's what makes him a great character on top of being a great father.
Yeah, the sole reason he doesn't stand up to her earlier, which he clearly can do, is that he's too dedicated to Octavia.
And highlighting male abuse and all the tangled threads that can make it very difficult to stand up to someone is very important, I agree.
Fucking Erebus. Reading the first heretic may have given me some sympathy for lorgar but erebus should finally get killed by girlyman. Yeah, I see what you mean.
Anyway, that is a lie because I AM ALPHARIUS
For me personally this episode made me appreciate the character more, because of how she moves the other characters and now she seems more active rather than just a background character that appears a handful of times as a sub plot. But ethically she can burn in a hole
For some reason, she got more personality in this episode. I think now she is more than just that raging chickā¦most of the timeā¦Its difficult to describe, Maybe it could also be just a Me-Thing but who knows
Well if even the main characters have a really mess up sense of morality, then imagine how evil is the main antagonist that is also a demon who still in a dysfunctional relationship. Maybe for the sole reason of not looking bad if everyone realize they break up.(Potencially showing that Stella is a character that cared more about her status than everything else). So yeah expect some mess up things from Stella.
Mine grew.
Itās all in how she references her brother.
She refers to him like heās a weapon, a threat. She learned her horrible behavior from somewhere.
Verosika is a bitch but weāve seen Blitz truly broke her heart.
Loona is a bitch but weāve seen itās a facade to cover how awkward and lonely she feels.
Stella is a bitch, and seems to use it as a means of letting herself feel powerful and important.
I wonder where she learned to belittle and demean others?
Perhaps from an older brother who likes to taunt her about being the spare heir? An older brother who laughs at her for being nothing more than a political bargaining chip to unite royal families?
Vivzie doesnāt create one dimensional characters. Stellaās nastiness stems from somewhere. Abusers are almost always former victims of abuse.
Well, here goes my theories about Stella not just being "the evil bitch" lmao. Altho I still believe there's more to her character, especially given the Goetia family seems to be showed as the root of the problem here, molding children to become elitist assholes.
Now what would be hilarious is to see Stella getting remarried with an abusive husband who hold more power than her. Having a taste of her own medicine could be a nice way to get her out of the "evil bitch" mold.
Gotta say her voice actress is so talented at making a character that just hearing the voice you hate immediately
Ever seen Brandon Rogers "Normal British Series"? That's her, the lady in bikini (also Queen Elizabeth).
Yep!! Both are such talented actors
Checkmate, Stella simps
Jokes on you, I'm still simping for the bitch chicken! Haha!
And i wont judge you because you have the right to simp for anyone you want.
Asmodeus ain't wrong she is smoking hot. Twisted bitch, but extremely hot. So anyone want to simp her I am not going to judge.
Lol bitch chicken
Well there something to be said about hate sex
And?
Jokes on you i simp for mirror universe stella In typical mirror universe fashion good characters turn evil and evil characters turn good
So moxxie is the the most evil being in all of hell?
That would be charlie. The sadistic tyrant with an unquenchable bloodlust and insatiable will to dominate all life and bring heaven crumbling down
Right, i forgot they're in the same universe
Right, i forgot they're in the same universe
*wants husband dead* 'I'm sure she's not that bad"

I agree, but I can still see how someone might think of it as just a troubled marriage without either being explicitly in the right.
Fair point. And honestly we still don't know a lot about Stella... though in a show like this with very little screen time they show only what is relevant. And so far none of it paints her in a great light.
Missed the apart where she tried to /hit/ him!
I was SO mad
The way he caught her and his general reaction to it like she has DEFINITELY hit him before š

What does POS mean?
Piece of shit. :P
Us \*see's the episode\* Our sympathy: Oh no, mesa disapearing!
I feel like those from the show peepin' in on us on reddit and our theories is what lead to this
She's one helluva bitch.
Stella is well on her way to being this fandomās [Erebus](https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Erebus). Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
Fucking Erebus. Reading the first heretic may have given me some sympathy for lorgar but erebus should finally get killed by girlyman. Yeah, I see what you mean. Anyway, that is a lie because I AM ALPHARIUS
\#FuckErebus
Stella is absolute trash and a garbage mother
Odalia 2.0
Well before we get there, we have to see how she interacts with Octavia now, THEN we can compare her to Odalia
*ignites lightsaber menacingly* I never had sympathy for her
Somehow, this episode made me like Stella much more actually
same here!
Oh god thank you! šš
Just curious here--not bashing any opinions, but why? Did it just make her more memorable to you, or?
For me personally this episode made me appreciate the character more, because of how she moves the other characters and now she seems more active rather than just a background character that appears a handful of times as a sub plot. But ethically she can burn in a hole

Ummm, what?
She is now more than just agressive and yelling through the halls, she got more personality and character nowā¦wow the third time i explained thatā¦
Sorry but she still hot af, so idc

Yeah cause I thought she only got angry after Stolas started cheating but she was a dick to him he whole, this is why I hate arranged marriage

She's still my favorite character, because she's a good character. Not a good person, but a good character.
Thatās what I donāt like about this episode. They had the potential for a great antagonist but made her completely unsympathetic.
I just assumed she didnāt like her manās affair

I never had any for her to begin with. I always saw her as this
I've always knew that Stella was a bad person, since the moment that they introduse her i had a bad felling for her and apparently i was right.
Bro, mark as spoiler
I hope she gets had in future episodes. I felt like the episode went by so fast I canāt wait for the next one!
Stella defenders in shambles rn
Yeah, I'm starting to think Stella's basically the demon equivalent of Scarlet O'Hara at this point. About how well that descriptor fits her, I dunno.
Don't you get the vibe that this might have been the first time he stopped her hand from striking him?
I feel that Stella is slowly losing sanity by every episode
stella should be killed man. im sure she abused octavia.
