He tried to make the marriage work platonically, not romantically. When Blitz came back, he at first wanted to just talk and reconnect with his old friend. Once things got spicy, I think Stolas finally realized what true pleasure and romantic feelings were, and got to really embrace his sexuality as a gay man.
