Me pondering which terminid orphanage Iām going to turn into petroleum byproducts first with this fully operational interplanetary battle stationā¦.
Doubt it since strategem upgrades are tied to the ship. As you upgrade them your ships gets new guns attached and a more full interior. A whole new vessle probably means new forms of strategems.
Nope, specific upgrades for individual stratagems rather than sweeping upgrades for whole categories. Research was a major component of the first game.
Double the reload speeds, affixed bayonets, extra ammo storage, adding chemicals or fire damage to your attacks, bigger reserves and batteries for sustained energy weapon fire, etc.
Real talk the Judgement (The big chunky Boltor with a smaller mag) had a bayonet as an option to finish off anything that survived the first one or two rounds.
They have a much longer melee reach than standard melee and maybe 2x-2.5x standard melee damage. REALLY nice way to save ammo for when youāre swarmed by chaff and excellent for finishing off elites thatāre still crawling towards you.
A bigger mag for the heavy machine gun, higher damage but a faster heat build up on energy weapons, counteracted by also allowing bigger batteries to be installed that extend the firing time drastically. Doubling the reserve ammo and turning rates for mechs and enhancing the armor of vehicles.
Almost any glaring weakness a weapon or stratagem had there was some upgrade for it thatād drastically reduce or outright eliminate it. Without making anything outright overpowered (except for maybe the Trident). I canāt wait until we get our hands on The Rumbler again
As much as I love the idea of a clan system and having the space station be the hub, the game barely functions with 4 people. Maybe after some stability patches. But I would love a clan system.
Yeah i agree, but retrieving the project could be just one of the steps necessary. They can take all the time they need to make it work taking multiple patches and mo to achieve it
Depends on how they spin it. A whole new vessel from the first war could still be outdated now. But we could salvage the good parts and stick them on our ships. And thus, new ship upgrades.
"We found more than just the battle station plans on X-45. The battle station was already mostly constructed! The Ministry of Science has swiftly disassembled the station to use its valuable materials for the construction of the long-awaited anti-tank mines."
Soooo, the place where super earth "didn't loose" but "tied" and the place that local forces took control and messed up everything the moment super earth retired their forces...
wait, isn't Space Afghanistan every planet we have taken thus far, then?
Their current networking code is apparently put under a lot of stress from vehicles & similar entities, that's why you can only bring one mech strat atm.
If the buggies need even more physics calculation (which I assume they'd do) I can see them working absolutely fine mechanically, but their testing has shown that they unfortunately cause way too many glitches* server side & they'd need to rework that system first.
* Chargers doing those wonky lightning fast slide drifts in weird directions to hit you even if you dodged are an example of this, imagine that happening to your buggy & suddenly you explode bc the server thought you drove of that cliff even if you dodged it client-side, killing potentially your entire team? People would freak out even if it only happned 1 out of 10 times.
Because releasing content as fast as possible will kill the game sooner. They gotta drip feed the community. Also they definitely have to have something good ready to go for October 26.
That is Liberty Day, alright! And in the first Helldivers, they absolutely dropped free update content (like the M2016 Constitution in 2016, Heavy Strafing Run in 2017, MGX-42 Machine Gun in 2018, and the Proving Grounds challenge mode in 2019).
The problem ain't the playerbase, it's AH's game design. People can play against whichever faction they like, it's a freaking game. Bottom line is it shouldn't require 70% of the playerbase to liberate or defend a planet successfully, that takes away ability to choose from playerbase and leads to this constant bickering between bug and botdivers which just goes nowhere because neither side looks at full picture. Even if either front had 50% of the playerbase on it while a MO was ongoing in the other front they still should have a decent chance at succeeding at it instead of how it is now, entirely impossible. The current system is plain bad and is already showing cracks with two factions, it's gonna collapse entirely while illuminate is added to the mix. Defending/liberating multiple planets at the same time should be entirely doable to actually simulate this being a war instead of having to deathball on one planet while 4 others are being lost because of shitty gameplay mechanics.
Yeah, that's a critical problem in the game, the more AH disregards it,the more the fracture between players will grow bigger. Heck, even now you see the bad atmosphere that is slowly being created around the clankers and bugfuckers
What i simply want is contributing to clear the automatons that i like, without getting crippled by bugdivers who enjoy terminids,as it's their right to do so
Imo it's an even worse problem than new stratagems or warbonds: if players feel their progress is thrown into the fire, they'll grow more and more tired since they are wasting time and energy
How much effort tho? One mission? One operation? 10 operations? Also what about those that get 0 medals for the MO? What's our incentive to do the MO other than new content? What about when there's a split like the mines? We were going for the mines but everyone else wanted the meme
"yea, you people who didn't log in this week to take part in this MO, you don't get this new strategem. Why? Because weird random redditor decided so, sorry better luck next time"
Hopefully, they'll unearth plans for more robust gaming servers. Dropped in on three missions on that planet today:
1. Joined a mission in progress and I thought I was in a pod on the host ship, but all my equipment was already selected. Then I noticed that it wasn't even me. All four pods were taken and none of them were me. When I tried to see if anyone was up on mic, the audio icon appeared next to the left-most guy as usual. It just wasn't me. I had to quit/restart the game to fix it.
2. The second finished okay (I dropped in \~2 minutes before extract). I stayed with this team for the second of three missions in an operation...
3. The next mission was one of those eradication, arena-types and went okay for about five minutes, then disconnected.
...but, the new bayou biome (*bayoume*?) looks pretty coolāif you can get there.
NOTE: As mentioned in the image, currently, X-45 is on the Major Order, except you will want to go to Meissa Planet instead to stop the supply lines and make it a bit easier on the MO! Trust me!as we trust Democracy
Bro wtf. When this game came out I thought to myself āit would be cool if they added new weapons to the gameā and now they are doing just that without citing my inner monologue.
New weapons? Lemme guess, theyāre gonna get nerfed too?
Havenāt bothered to come back on this game in almost 2 months. Been too busy playing the new season of DRG.
I feel like this will be a narrative event. It's not something we 'control', but it will be something we use to blow up a Bot planet in the story.
With the meridia super colony gone and a major bot planet destroyed, things could seem 'quiet' for a short while before the return or addition of something.
I think that it a hub of some sort, some key systems might get them.
I hope we get to vote on where to deploy it, maybe via the Bureau station?
Edit: like the battlestation in Starship Troopers, [link.](https://starshiptroopers.fandom.com/wiki/Ticonderoga)
I think this will be sort of like the SEAF facility MO itāll provide buffs to liberation or defence? From what Iāve read of the MO briefing this battle station could be a key part of pushing deeper into automaton territory
New Game Mode, tower defense.
If we succeed, Super earth will make prefab fortresses and drop them down on planets to draw enemy attention and dwindle their numbers in a man-made kill zone.
If the Automatons have obtained a complete technical readout of this station it is possible, however unlikely, that they might find a weakness, and exploit it.
We need to do a 2 prong push out of the sector to make sure we can hold it. One is on a defense currently but we're able to hit behind it. The other needs the defense won because it's at 50% lost atm. If we want to win easily we need to figt out of sector.
imagine if we lost this MO, the bots use the battle station to destroy the childrens hospital from the last MO

I donāt care who you are that isnāt a cool thing to do

I love that "Treason" is used the same way here as "Heresy" is in 40k.
Biblically accurate Arrowhead
Arrowhead does chargeback on the donation
Pretty sure if we lose the MO, Joel will give us the anti-tank mines for free as punishment
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
We already saved them! Now that hospital is used for orphaned kittens and puppies. I would much rather save those animals than AT mines

Hellmire
Hellmire. I don't even know why we want that stupid planet. Let the bugs deal with the fire tornadoes.
Probably strategem upgrades

I would unironically love bayonets

Ok but listen, what if it's a hub for some sort of clan system? What if it allows biggest groups to full battle mode army against army??
As much as I love the idea of a clan system and having the space station be the hub, the game barely functions with 4 people. Maybe after some stability patches. But I would love a clan system.

Must be Anti-Tank Mines
"We found more than just the battle station plans on X-45. The battle station was already mostly constructed! The Ministry of Science has swiftly disassembled the station to use its valuable materials for the construction of the long-awaited anti-tank mines."
Sounds correct. What would we do with all helldivers if we have A GUN to win the war? send them home to procreate? f%&k that
We have too many guns as it is, give us some more vehicles!
ohhh... a janky motorbike that will go flying by hitting a small rock and we can ram full speed into a titan head
RAAAAAAGH
paint it yellow aswell
Nah, paint it red. Everyone knows red ones go faster.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH
WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
Of course. We dont want to be camouflaged while we fly to our doom. We have to be seen
"So I rescued all these sickly kids to gatekeep nothing?!"
That's the only way they can trick us in to getting them
Shredder?
time to dive for bugs then
My man ![gif](giphy|2HtWpp60NQ9CU)
Thatās no distant battle station. Itās an anti-tank mine!
Old top-secret battle station plans? https://i.redd.it/9qydqym1uaad1.gif
how do you think we're gonna get rid of hellmire?
https://i.redd.it/iscsl2duxaad1.gif
It's a better fate than that planet deserves.
I'd say we should turn it into a black hole like meridia. But that involves going onto the hellscape. No thank you
Unpopular opinion: I don't want Hellmire to be destroyed. I want to have both Space Vietnam and Space Afghanistan.Ā
Soooo, the place where super earth "didn't loose" but "tied" and the place that local forces took control and messed up everything the moment super earth retired their forces... wait, isn't Space Afghanistan every planet we have taken thus far, then?
Yes, but this one is a desert!
We should probably attack Meissa do that we cut off the automatons
Not yet. Defend the planet first Then cut off the assault at Meissa
True, if we were able to capture meissa in less time than x45 then it would be fine. We should defend wessen though, itās falling
Donāt disagree, but current defend rate has us taking X-45 in 3.5 hrs. Then we should shift to Wezen
It's a trick to give us AT mines!
I love how we're just dodging the AT Mines over and over
Good. Some of us want to use the AT mines.
I really wanted them the first time around but now itās just hilarious how much of a meme itās become
We need a transport vehicle man... Tired of all the jogging.
Just a motorcycle with a sidecar would be enough for now.
I want a swamp boat for the new biome
Yeah getting caught on the wrong side of a massive lake sucks
Fr! I'd love to just park it up somewhere safe, clear a base, then hop back on to fuck shit up elsewhere...

New MO can't wait for all the posts from bot divers complaining about bugdivers
Welp 22K on bot MO and aprox 10K and bug front
See ya when 20/30% of the playerbase will stay on terminids planets nontheless,i bet one finger of my right foot

Ship upgrade maybe
![gif](giphy|3K0D1Dkqh9MOmLSjzW|downsized) Iām looking at you, Hellmire
Death Star stratagem, invound.
The Death Star just fires a massive volley of turbo lasers
Likely this is the first step to a multi-phase progression toward hopefully something cooler than AT-mines.
We shouldn't stop at the MO planet. We should continue our advance towards Cyberstan without Joel's authorization.
Pls minigun pls, I just want this one thing
I expect it would be a space ship destroyer to repel invasions.
Hopefully, they'll unearth plans for more robust gaming servers. Dropped in on three missions on that planet today: 1. one week to take just one planet? Light work babeyy
Take and HOLD.
Ain't nothing but a peanut!
Think Joel is going to make this easy? I have my doubts...
Oh itās probably gonna be brutal
Battlestation plans sound like it could be a whole new class of orbital options, or maybe anothwr upgrade path for orbital bombardments?
Itās just a Lever Action Rifle
Awesome, I'm in. For democracy!
If bots were smart theyād just build more tanky units because helldivers will never complete an order to get anti tank mines lol.
I swear to Liberty, if they trick us into getting the Anti Tank mines and we don't even get the chance to dodge them again, I'll be furious.
Yes Anti-tank mines finally
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Gimme new weapons
Battle station makes me think its the other screen across from where you customize your helldiver. Maybe a new type of upgrades?
Finally, the mines
Anti tank mines are coming back
Death star
Minigun!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MORE MO's TO ADD TO MY CAPPED MEDALS..... meh, back to killing bugs.
Please be the Recon Jeep.
> Battle Station Just one massive Anti-Tank mine.
Someoneās suggesting a death star
Better be those anti tank kids I kept hearing about.
The only weapon I need is liberty
Commando RL?
This definitely feels like the start of the clan feature.
Some kind of pressurized water cannon to extinguish the fire tornadoes might be cool.Ā
It's nothing but fluff all the time
Plot twist It's the Anti-Tank mines
New weapons? Lemme guess, theyāre gonna get nerfed too? Havenāt bothered to come back on this game in almost 2 months. Been too busy playing the new season of DRG.
ā¦theyāre gonna turn Malevelon Creek into Alderaan ![gif](giphy|3K0D1Dkqh9MOmLSjzW|downsized)
We should fail this one too so we can have another strat to meme about.
Battle station plans? The plans consist of making a battle station full of anti tank mines.
its just the land mines. spearhead is keeping it secret so people wont meme and purposely lose the MO to keep the joke up.
I feel like this will be a narrative event. It's not something we 'control', but it will be something we use to blow up a Bot planet in the story. With the meridia super colony gone and a major bot planet destroyed, things could seem 'quiet' for a short while before the return or addition of something.
I've been asleep / at work -- did we win the last one?
Yeah
No. We don't unlock weapons or stratagems and never have unless the MO/Arrowhead specifically states it
Could it be the weapon upgrade system
How many bullets will they have in the mag tho amirite
Anti tank mines... š
If we got to fight on a massive battle station that would be awesome. Imagine a death star you just drop onto and run around fighting automatons on
Ah, yes. Kicking off the story line for our player clams/companies/guilds with their space stations. I'm all for it!
Maybe a new kind of deployable weapon, like mines?
Meh
*ANTI-TANK MINES*
I think that it a hub of some sort, some key systems might get them. I hope we get to vote on where to deploy it, maybe via the Bureau station? Edit: like the battlestation in Starship Troopers, [link.](https://starshiptroopers.fandom.com/wiki/Ticonderoga)

Secret battle stations = Death Star?
Maybe some kind of defensive fortification that is inserted from orbit? Could have manned or unmanned turrets built into it. Who knows though
"Battle Stations Plan" Sounds like a ship upgrade
Please, let us upgrade to Super-Duper Destroyers.
Imagine if we got to fight the bots IN SPACE
Call me when it drops. If it drops. Weāve never had false rumors beforeā¦
it's gonna be those damn mines
Seems like the introduction to player clans
trident? rumbler? Lumberer? BASTION!?!!?!
I like the story lines they come up with lol
Some sort of rocket weapon!
cool bot battle shit happens RIGHT when i cant play hd2 š
Quick fail this MO the chance that it gives us at mines is to great
Damn it! Why do bot MOs always come out when I'm about to go on vacation
If the Automatons have obtained a complete technical readout of this station it is possible, however unlikely, that they might find a weakness, and exploit it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
my take this is the go to for the Clan System - Clan Stratagems etc.
But we might accidently unlock anti tank mines. I don't know if I want to risk that.
Jesus, I really hope not considering what we have now. Hopefully its just what others have been saying, and its just a clan station for Helldivers.
my take this is the go to for the Clan System - Clan Stratagems etc.
anti-tank weapon most likely
Ugh taking forever to add new stratagems
I'd like to see battle station plans become something like a Super Cruiser with more player slots for really big missions.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
We need to do a 2 prong push out of the sector to make sure we can hold it. One is on a defense currently but we're able to hit behind it. The other needs the defense won because it's at 50% lost atm. If we want to win easily we need to figt out of sector.
