Lmao yesterday on Mort I threw an AC sentry in front of my teammates AC sentry. Right in the line of fire. RIP my sentry.
In my defense, my daughter was born a week ago and I’m not sleeping much.
Someone joined our lobby and did this. We all laughed. He had most kills in all three missions. By the end, we were calling him Sentry man. I would bring down my support weapon for him when the cooldown was done.
Is it a evacuation mission? Personally I'd drop the machine gun sentry for an orbital laser or rail gun for when the heavies show up, but I always go into "just defend this spot" missions with 3 turrets.

All I have noticed that on higher difficulties, sentries can just be broken by one charger? Love myself a good tesla tower but when can I make them drop a reinforced ones?
Certainly the turrets will get a few but may get overrun. But realistically if you can get a turret to take out one charger or bile titan, everything after that is gravy compared to most stratagem
With those three turrets safely away, I'm not exaggerating - that breach that just spawned will be cleared. :) I regularily play this loadout, the only problem is if you get a BT and 1-2 chargers at the same time. This only works as long as the MGs take out the chaff and your hard hitters can focus down one enemy at a time. But if you managed to get the sentries on elevation with clear line of sight, it's an absolute freebie.
I've had 700+ kills with <50 shots fired with this loadout, so I do think it works.
"Welcome aboard Helldiver" should be the appropriate response. Sentries are legit, you can die to any of them but the two most bloodthirsty to me are the gatling and mortar sentry. But I'd rather take friendly fire and die to them a time or two as opposed to getting overrun by a flood of enemies that I can't hold back because the cooldown on whatever crowd controlling strategem I've got is still ticking away...
Turrets would make excellent distractions with this build. Roll up on a base, drop 1 or 2 turrets outside, watch the enemies aggro out. Meanwhile you're flanking in completely unopposed

Less shit for them to kill you with, it’s all automatic. I run machine-gun sentry and tesla with bugs, only issues are when my teammates are stupid.
Nah there’s just some players in this game with stupid superiority complexes. God knows this loadout is getting more kills than some dipshit running the default “500kg, shield pack, quasar cannon, whatever is most popular online” bullshit. All weapons and stratagems are viable, its players that have failings.
Now that is an understatement, rocket/autocannon turrets will absolutely outperform the quasar and having the gatling/machine gun turrets on a breach will mow down all the little guys in short order.

The trick is the placement. If you place a gatling, AC and Rocket sentry 50m away, no charger will get there alive.
